The Talbot Chronicles was a short-lived webcomic that mixed the Franchise/UniversalHorror movies and FilmNoir. The protagonist was Larry Talbot, from the Wolf Man movies, who had gone into business as a private eye/monster hunter, trying to make up for his involuntary murderings.

!!This webcomic provides examples of:

* TheAtoner: Talbot.
* ContinuityNod: The villain of the second story arc is almost certainly Elsa Frankenstein, last seen in Film/FrankensteinMeetsTheWolfman.
* DeadpanSnarker: Talbot.
* GuileHero: What Talbot eventually evolves into.
* HardboiledDetective: Talbot, complete with fedora, trenchcoat, and world-weary internal monologue.
* KarmicDeath: In the comic's first story arc, Talbot
* KnightInSourArmor: Talbot.
* OurWerewolvesAreDifferent: The werewolves follow the same rules as the 1940s movie series, with some fudging to cover inconsistencies. For instance, the movies are inconsistent about whether Talbot becomes a werewolf "when the Autumn moon is bright" or "when the moon is full and bright"; in the comic, it's both: Talbot transforms on full moons, and every night during Autumn.
* PrivateDetective: Talbot.
* PrivateEyeMonologue: In the second story arc of the webcomic.
* ShoutOut:
** Talbot's bookshelf is full of them, including Literature/Dracula, Necronomicon, and The Secrets of Life and Death, Donovan's Brain (by Curt Siodmak, who wrote the screenplay for the original The Wolf Man), ... and two large volumes titled "OurWerewolvesAreDifferent" and "OurVampiresAreDifferent," both by T. Tropes.
** The list of victims that appears on his desk is full of famous FilmNoir and horror characters, specifically: N. Thompson, L. Strode, E. Mars, and J. Cairo.
