''The New Adventures of Peter + Wendy'' is a [[VlogSeries vlog-style]] web series and a modern adaptation of J.M. Barrie's novel ''[[Literature/PeterPan Peter and Wendy]]''. It was co-created by Shawn [=deLoache=], the series writer, and Kyle Walters, who also plays Peter Pan.

The official summary is as follows:

Everyone has to grow up, right? Well, not if Peter Pan has anything to say about it! Peter, a late-twenties man-child and comic book artist living in the small town of Neverland, Ohio, has three life goals: 1) [[GrowingUpSucks NEVER GROW UP.]] 2) [[AllWorkVsAllPlay Have as much fun as humanly possible while doing as little work as possible.]] 3) Win the heart of his best friend, Wendy Darling. With his friends John, Michael, Lily and his fairy, Tinkerbell, Peter is nailing goals 1 and 2. Goal 3, however, is a bit trickier. Wendy Darling, an advice vlogger and overall go-getter, is [[SmallTownBoredom tired of the never-changing small town]] of Neverland, Ohio and wants to see the world, to become… an adult. It's Peter vs Growing Up in the battle for Wendy! But is growing up really the enemy? Or is it the solution?

* AgeLift: From children to young adults in their late twenties.
* AllThereInTheManual: The Kensington Chronicle has its own [[http://kensingtonchronicle.com/ in-universe website.]]
* BottleEpisode: Most of the action takes place either in Wendy's room or Peter's house.
* TheComicallySerious: John is this to a T, especially when compared with Michael.
* DistantEpilogue: Two months after the final episode.
* EnterStageWindow: Peter does this often with the window in Wendy's room.
* EverytownAmerica: Neverland, Ohio.
* TheExtremistWasRight: No, people, Peter is not [[spoiler:in the wrong where Hook is concerned. Hook actually ''is'' out to destroy everything - first Lily, who's lost everything because of him, then the Kensington Chronicle.]]
* FamilyBusiness: The ''Kensington Chronicle'' run by the Darling family.
* FanCommunityNickname: The Pandom, or the Pan-fam!
* ForgottenBirthday: 1x16, "Forgot is Such a Strong Word"
* GingerbreadHouse: Peter builds a Fudgeopolis.
* AGoodNameForARockBand: "The Lost Boys."
* HeroicBSOD: Played For Laughs. Wendy suffers one when she gets a stack of rejection letters. She tears two up (one by teeth and another by normal method), makes some kind of mask out of another, makes snowflakes and shouts "I'm snowing dreams!", dumping one in water, making a "rejection fairy" (complete with cute voice goes scary), and even tries to BURN one. To top it all off, she downs a bottle of wine. ALL IN FRONT OF HER VIEWERS!
* IfICantHaveYou: Lily and Tinker Bell are [[GreenEyedMonster incredibly jealous]] that Peter has chosen Wendy—so they form a plan to separate the two.
* {{Irony}}: In Season 2, Peter repeatedly goes on about how [[spoiler: James Hook]] was the fat kid in school. Peter himself is noticeably overweight in this series.
* InterruptedDeclarationOfLove: An under the influence Peter nearly confesses to Wendy, and is interrupted by Lily suddenly kissing him.
* JustFriends: The opening premise.
* ManChild: Peter and Michael.
* MidSeasonTwist: [[spoiler:Peter and Wendy begin a relationship.]]
* MythologyGag: Several!
** John is never seen without an umbrella, and on one occasion wears a top hat.
** Likewise, Michael often has something teddy bear themed on him like a backpack.
** Peter entering through Wendy's window.
** How Peter and Wendy met.
** Neverland was founded by J. M. Barrie.
** Hook's crocodile themed watch.
* TheNewAdventures
* POVCam: When the videos don't take the form of actual vlogs, they're shot from the perspective of Tinker Bell... which conveniently means she's never actually on camera.
* SequelHook: If you '''didn't''' see this coming, leave. '''''NOW!'''''. [[spoiler:James Hook owns the media company Wendy accepted the new job from, and becomes a major character in the second season.]]
** As of the end of Season 2, [[spoiler:Peter has conceded to taking up Hook's job offer, after JH Media buys Bagha Industries, the Kensington Chronicle, and Wendy's loyalty.]]
* ShoutOut:
** One of the bonus videos has Michael attempting to crowdfund potato salad based on the Kickstarter campaign that was a success, and dragging John into his efforts.
* ShownTheirWork
* StoutStrength: Peter isn't exactly skinny and is on the husky size.
* ThickerThanWater: The Darling siblings, very much. Despite being shocked at the sudden news that Wendy [[spoiler:might be leaving Neverland for a new job]], John and Michael still remain supportive of her and her decision.
--> '''John:''' "She's my sister. ''Of course'' I will defend her!"
* VlogSeries: In front of the camera in Wendy's room. Alternately, Tinker Bell acts as the perspective when talking to others like Peter.
