Many actual schizophrenics know hallucinations when they see them and simply ignore them. "That penguin dancing on the ceiling in a clown suit probably isn't real because penguins who dance on ceilings in clown suits aren't a thing. My brain's being weird again; on with life." Of course, her biggest hallucination is at the end of season 8. Yes, she ''is'' seeing all of that the way we do.
