Perhaps Nintendo feared that it'd raise the game's age rating? Whatever the case, Splatoon 3 has been confirmed to be "the finale of the splat-tastic saga". So, what if the game's writers saw this as their last chance to hammer home "Yes, they are lesbian and in love, we're just not allowed to say it outright"? This is certainly reflected in their dialogue, given how much more overt it is than ''Splatoon 2'''s. |
