[[WMG: The pointy-eared witch species that Eda, Willow, Gus, Amity, and most other characters in the show belong to is an all-bisexual species.]]
* Jossed. Amity is a canon lesbian.

[[WMG: Eda's obsession with Earth's objects is because of the Emperor.]]
Eda knows that the Emperor is looking for something in the Earth Realm, that's why she stole the portal to Earth from the emperor, she doesn't know exactly what it's exactly that's why she brings everything that she finds in Earth.
* The part about Eda stealing the portal is jossed by Keeping Up A-fear-ances, which shows that she found it by litterally stumbling over it.

[[WMG: The deal that the owl beast made with Eda is that it wants her help to return home and finds its mama.]]
If it's true that the owl beast was only a baby, then the first thing it wants to do is reunite with its mother, regardless of how many years they've been apart.
* [[spoiler:Jossed. The deal was apparently getting it dinner on the way home.]]

[[WMG: Hunter isn't [[spoiler:a Grimwalker]] ]]
[[spoiler:It just seems too obvious at this point. Why would the crew have the book open to the page with the bright red eyes, making the reveal seemingly obvious? Maybe it's just a red herring and the actual Grimwalker is Creepy Luz.]]
* As revealed in "Hollow Mind" this is [[spoiler:{{jossed}} on Hunter's part. Also "Creepy Luz"/Vee is an artificially created Basilisk but not a Grimwalker herself.]]

[[WMG: Amity dyed her hair out of devotion for Azura]]
She ''may'' have also done it to fit in with her family, as most theories say, although her hair is clearly a different shade of green compared to her siblings and much closer to Azura's hair. We haven't yet seen what her parents look like - it's possible one of them is also a redhead and hair color has nothing to do with their high standards. Given the tragic complications of her home life, Amity could have looked to Azura as a positive role model and dyed her hair as a first step to becoming more like her.
* Jossed, sadly. [[https://www.reddit.com/r/TheOwlHouse/comments/ill21i/hooty_hooty_im_dana_terrace_creator_and_ep_of_the/g3sul5v/ An AMA on Reddit revealed that Amity's mother made Amity dye her hair because she likes her kids to be, "color coordinated."]]

[[WMG: Emperor Belos is the first of his kind of witch]]

Going back to the above, what if Emperor Belos was one of the first witches to have a bile sack attached to them? What if he was the first of a new type of witch that was created by the ones who came before? Certainly would explain his mastery of his powers, his need to not even draw an incantation circle to cast a spell. It might even explain his armor and his need to feed off of palismans. He was one of the first but there were side effects like he’s disfigured and needs magical energy just to stay alive and whole
* Jossed, he never had a bile sack as he is (or WAS) human.

[[WMG: Lilith will start teaching Luz]]
Given how Lilith is essentially a traitor to the Emperor and how she'll likely be staying at the Owl House she'll probably start helping Luz learn magic or at least try to given Luz can't learn it the traditional way. It will be a sign of CharacterDevelopment as Lilith starts seeing Luz as someone to genuinely bond with rather than simply an incidental associate of Eda's she has to interact with. She'll also learn to let go of some of her belief systems as an Emperor's Coven member as while Belos is a BrokenPedestal to her now she still believed in the Coven's rhetoric for years and won't just throw away everything she once upheld overnight. Her efforts will help Luz learn new things about her WildMagic.
* Jossed. Interestingly, it's actually the other way around, with Luz teaching Lilith.

[[WMG:Eda's sister will be a RedHerring for "Who Cursed Eda?"]]
When her sister shows up, she and Eda will jump straight into their SiblingRivalry, convincing Luz that the sister is behind the curse, possibly via the sister throwing the curse in Eda's face during an argument. However, by the end of the episode, it's revealed that Eda's sister, despite her antagonism, actually wants to help break the curse but A) the process of figuring out how to do that has proven difficult and B) even if she had the right method, Eda is too prideful to accept the help. Eda will grudgingly thank her sister for the effort and they'll part on decent terms, though not without final parting shots.
* [[spoiler:Jossed. It’s revealed in “Agony of a Witch” that Lilith was the indeed the one who cursed Eda.]]

[[WMG:Alternately, Luz's father is Emperor Belos]]
This could work as a season finale twist; the controlling, powerful Emperor of the Boiling Isles once snuck out to the human world in his youth, met Luz' mother, and ended up getting her pregnant before having to go back to his home. If Luz does, indeed, have more magical potential than everyone thought, this could explain why she has it, even though she's human. This would also throw a wrench into the Emperor's whole "capture Eda and make her join the Emperor's Coven" plan, since his daughter is staying with/being taught magic by the Boiling Isles' number one criminal.
* Almost certainly Jossed. [[spoiler:In "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", Belos is strongly implied to be Philip Wittibane, meaning he's several centuries old, and in "Reaching Out", it's revealed that Luz's father died when she was young, and was involved with her life until that point.]]
** Certainly jossed in "Hollow Mind": [[spoiler:Belos is Philip Wittebane!!]]

[[WMG:Luz and Eda are related.]]
Luz's family name is Noc'''eda'''. It's possible that the Owl Witch was also originally called Noceda, which she shortened to Eda. Her non-human looks are the result of magic. This would explain why Eda's owl familiar lured Luz to the Boiling Isles and why Eda took Luz in.

* Jossed. Eda's full name is confirmed to be Edalyn in "Convention", although we still don't know her ''last'' name.
** According to "Something Ventured, Something Framed", it's Clawthorne.

[[WMG: The person who wrote The Good Witch Azura was scammed by someone like Adeghast or Tibbles]]
The Good Witch Azura books has obvious similarities to the Boiling Isles except for one thing, Azura is TheChosenOne and there's no chosen ones on the Boiling Isles. We know that Luz isn't the only one to be scammed like that, so it makes sense that someone could have written the books not knowing they were being scammed and believing that they were the chosen one and had all those adventures.
* Jossed. [[spoiler:The books were written by a human and washed up on shore in the Boiling Isles. However, Tibbles DID try to pull off a scam with the books which involved editing the author's photo to look like a witch]].

[[WMG: Luz's father is a witch and Creepy Luz is her long-lost twin sister.]]
So far in the series, we've had no information whatsoever about Luz's father, not even if he's still alive or not. Maybe Luz's father made his way from the Boiling Isles to Earth, where he met Camilla. The two fell in love (with him revealing his heritage and background to her), got married, and had twin girls, OG Luz and Creepy Luz. Not long after that, they discovered that OG Luz was a regular human, while Creepy Luz was a witch. With this, Luz's dad wanted to bring his daughters back to the Boiling Isles to raise them both as witches, but Camilla wanted to stay on Earth and raise them as humans. this disagreement broke down their relationship, and the two eventually split Parent Trap-style: Camilla remained on Earth with Luz, while her ex took their witch daughter back to the Boiling Isles to raise, with them soon losing touch and both go on to not say much to their daughters about their "lost" parent or even mention their twin's existence. Years later, at the same time that OG Luz stumbles into the Boiling Isles, Creepy Luz, desiring a break from all the excitement that the Isles have to offer and possibly after having discovered the truth about her mother and sister, arrive on Earth the same way her father did, and ends up being mistaken for Luz and taken to the camp. After arriving the camp and learning that her sister was supposed to attend, Creepy poses as her sister to gain the sense of normalcy she'd been seeking and connect with her long-lost mother. When OG Luz inevitably returns home and she and Camilla finds the truth, Creepy will agree to introduce her to their father, with their mother's blessing.
** {{Jossed}}: The changeling Luz is actually a [[spoiler:basilisk created by Belos who escaped him, fled through Eda's portal and shapeshifted into a duplicate of Luz]].

[[WMG:Luz building a friendship with Amity will drive a wedge between her and Willow]]
Willow will feel betrayed that Luz is trying to befriend somebody who often tormented her.
* {{Jossed}}. Willow ends up beginning to resolve her friendship with Amity as of "Understanding Willow" and has no issue with Amity's friendship with Luz. It's possible she might even be a ShipperOnDeck for Lumity.

[[WMG:Principal Bump is a semi-retired member of the Emperor's Coven.]]
Given his age, his power displayed in locking down the school with magic, and his advocacy for the Emperor's Coven, it hardly seems like a stretch.
* Jossed. He belongs in the Abomination Coven.

[[WMG:If King actually was the king of demons]]
Than some of the following ideas are possible:
* His powers and memories were stripped from him, leading to his current circumstances. A story arc could be made about him seeking to regain his lost power and trying to find out why he lost it in the first place.
* King gave up his powers and memories because he grew LonelyAtTheTop and wanted to find genuine friends. Alternatively he grew too powerful to keep his strength under control and to give up his powers for the good of the Demon Realm.
* The Emperor has a special interest in him, either seeking to claim King's former power for himself or looking to discover a secret tied to the Demon Realm that only King knows.
* King will regain his former power, becoming the most powerful being in the Boiling Isles. He'll decide to overthrow the Emperor because of the slanted legal system that's been chasing him and Eda for years but still cares for Eda and Luz, the latter especially serving as a MoralityPet as he gets more DrunkWithPower. He'll deal out a CurbStompBattle to anyone that gets in his way.
* Will try to summon his former army to the Boiling Isles. It won't work entirely but he will get his former general who has UndyingLoyalty to King.
* Jossed. He's never been a king, but it looks like he might be related to one...
** Or maybe even to a [[spoiler:god i.e. the titan of the Boiling Isles]].

[[WMG:Luz is the person who cursed Eda]]
In typical tropey fashion, Luz will find herself thrown into the past just before Eda was cursed, and her attempts to prevent it will [[SelfFulfillingProphecy end up causing it]].
* Jossed. [[spoiler:It was Lilith and no time-travel was involved.]]

Whoever cursed Eda had to have a good reason and had to be very powerful.
* {{Jossed}}: The one who cursed her was [[spoiler:Lilith, her sister]] and [[spoiler:she]] is ''not'' the BigBad, but Belos is.

[[WMG:Eda was cursed by the principal of Hexside while a student there.]]
Proposed by a reviewer/theorist for the Website/YouTube channel The Round Table, it does make an interesting amount of sense, whether the reason is [[WellIntentionedExtremist "for discipline"]] or more sinister, and would explain why Eda is so adverse to Luz going to the school.
* Unlikely, given he has allowed Luz to attend only after having Eda clean up most of her messes from her own time at the school.
** Jossed. [[spoiler:It was Lilith.]]

[[WMG:The one writing the letters is [[spoiler: Emperor Belos]]]]

After the incident at the Conformatorium, Warden Wrath informed him of Luz's presence on the Boiling Isles. Interested that a human made it there, [[spoiler: Belos]] used some kind of divination magic to learn more about Luz and here he found she would master a [[WildMagic unique]] [[GeometricMagic magic]]. The letters are to make sure Camila doesn't get suspicious so Luz can master her magic so he can either steal it from her or force her into the Emperor's Coven.
* {{Jossed}}: It was a [[spoiler:changeling someone left in Luz' place]].
** {{Jossed}} the [[{{Jossed}} jossing]]: It was actually a [[spoiler:basilisk created by Belos who escaped him, fled through Eda's portal and shapeshifted into a duplicte of Luz]].

[[WMG: The one writing the letters is [[spoiler:a camp counselor.]]]]
Not wanting an investigation because Luz wasn't at camp, [[spoiler:a counselor]] forged the letters so her mother Camila would be unaware [[spoiler:so the camp can have time to search for Luz and they won't get sued]].

[[WMG:Luz will join the Emperor's Coven.]]
The first letters of each episode spell out "A witch loses a true way". As to the meaning of that, considering what Eda says about covens and being your own witch, losing a true way may mean joining a coven. Perhaps Emperor Belos will find out about Luz's ability to cast spells with glyphs and take an interest in her, and orders Lilith to make an offer to Luz: in exchange for joining for the Emperor's Coven, he will not only absolve Eda of all crimes, but also cure her curse. Lilith will be insistent to Luz on the grounds of trying to save her sister. Luz will hesitate at first, but upon realizing that Eda's curse is worsening to the point her elixir will no longer work, will agree, resulting in season one having a DownerEnding.
* [[spoiler:{{Jossed}}. This didn't happen.]]

[[WMG:Emperor Belos attended Hexside and is connected to Eda and Lilith]]
In Incident Report #3421 in Eda's permanent record, the student who stole Lilith's lunch money, was the initial target of Eda's abomination army, and helped the sisters to vanquish the army was mysteriously unnamed. Perhaps then-Prince Belos attended school under a pseudonym and his arrogance at being the next in line to rule urged him to bully his fellow students that he saw as inferior. Principal Bump left Belos out of the incident report either as a favor to or under threat from the monarchy and both Eda and Lilith remain unaware of the true importance of the event.
* Jossed. A class lecture in "Wing it Like Witches" reveals that he rose to power 50 years before the how takes place and considering that Eda is only in her mid-to-late forties, it's not possible.

[[WMG: '''The Good Witch Azura''' was written by an actual witch.]]
This would explain how the books got to the Boiling Isles. This could also explain how a actual witch (Amity) can read it and not get offended by the inaccuracies her [[MageSpecies race]] is depicted with, because there are none.
* Discussed, but then jossed, in "Any Sport i a Storm". [[spoiler:After Luz and Amity realize that their respective copies of the books depict the author as a human and a witch respectively, they wonder of she can travel between realms and discuss it on their way to a meet-and-greet with the author. However, it turns out to be a scam by Tibbles in order to sell the books by editing the author's photo to be a witch, which fell flat because, in addition to Luz and Amity finding out, the latter was literally the only one in the Boiling Isles buying the books]].

[[WMG: The Three Bat Babies Will Become Palismen to...]]
Luz, Willow, and Gus. They were so impressed with how Luz went through their Mother's trials that they elect to become the palismen on these three's staffs once they earn them.
* Jossed. In "Hunting Palismen," Willow and Gus receive secondhand Palismen from the Bat Queen while Eda finds a Palisman from...somewhere specifically for Luz. The Bat Queen, as far as we know, is living with her kids.

[[WMG: Eda wrote the letters to Luz's mom]]
Kinda dark theory, but Luz didn't run into Eda by chance. In the first episode, Eda needed Luz to get past anti-witch defenses. This could have been a dry run for a bigger score, perhaps one to cure her curse. She scoped out Luz to find someone who would want to stay in the Boiling Isles.
* Or Eda just came to the conclusion that it would be best if Luz's mom didn't know what her daughter was actually doing, and with how maternal she has been getting lately she just might not want Luz to leave, plus she seems the type to both simultaneously know what Luz would likely be doing at camp and absentmindedly misspell Luz's name.
** {{Jossed}}: It was a [[spoiler:changeling someone left in Luz' place]].
** {{Jossed}} the [[{{Jossed}} jossing]]: It was actually a [[spoiler:basilisk created by Belos who escaped him, fled through Eda's portal and shapeshifted into a duplicte of Luz]].

[[WMG:The Emperor's Palace is located in or ''is'' the giant corpse's skull.]]
It seems to overlook the entire Isles, and where else would the "head" of society reside?
* Jossed. Some shots of the castle in “Agony of a Witch” show that it appears to actually be at the literal heart of the isles. However, season 2 would later show Belos does have a separate secret base in the skull

[[WMG: Lilith is also cursed]]
The reason her hair turned black is because she turns into a raven beast, but she kept this a secret from everyone else, especially her family. This would also play in her jealousy towards Eda; [[spoiler: [[EvilIsPetty she cursed her sister simply so she wouldn't have to suffer alone]]]]. Then she joined the Emperor's Coven and vowed to capture Eda so they could both be cured and nobody would be the wiser. She has managed to keep her curse under control so far, but after her inevitable defeat, she will find it harder to do so. As for who cursed Lilith? It could have been Belos himself or another villain yet to be seen.
* Jossed. She gave herself the curse at the end of Season 1.

[[WMG:Luz will be suffering a HeroicBSOD at the start of "Young Blood, Old Souls"]]
Considering the ending of "Agony of a Witch" this one is self-explanatory.
** Jossed. She immediately sets off to save Eda.

[[WMG:A rift will develop between Luz and one, more or all of her friends in "Agony of a Witch"]]
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Lilith's hair was changed unnaturally]]
When we saw a picture of her in her youth she was a redhead like her sister. Now she has RavenHairIvorySkin. When joining the Emperor's Coven Lilith was put through a number of things to crush as much of her individual identity as possible.
* Jossed. WordOfGod states that she dyed it darker and styled it differently upon joining the Emperor's Coven because she thought it made her look more intimidating.

[[WMG: King was never really a king of demons, but a dog or raccoon that got splashed with a potion.]]
King got a potion splashed onto his head once, which had a range of effects on him. First, it melted the flesh off his skull. Second, it increased his intelligence to human levels. Third, it gave him a way to communicate with others by telepathically broadcasting his thoughts. Fourth, he grew fresh horns, one of which broke of while it was hardening. He believes he is the king of demons because he saw a book written by the REAL king of demons shortly after being doused, and assumed he wrote it, as his mind was also new and fresh.
* {{Jossed}}: He's no dog, he's a [[spoiler:Titan]]!

[[WMG:Luz will never learn magic as humans can't use it]]
It would certainly make the dumb MoralGuardians happy.
* Semi-{{Jossed}}. Luz instead learned a Glyph-based series of WildMagic that allows her to preform spells if she has the proper symbol prepared. however, [[spoiler:it's shown to be ineffective outside the demon realm due to said magic relying on the low-level magic field produced by the titan for its spells, this becoming ineffective when there's not enough magic in the atmosphere]].

[[WMG:Eda is Luz's real mother.]]
It's possibly the reason why Eda's familiar lured Luz to the boiling Isles, and why Eda seems to accept her right off the bat. Perhaps when Luz was just a baby something happened that forced her and Eda to separate and the latter's memories to be wiped. That could also explain why Luz's [possibly adopted] mom is protective and trying to get her in the right direction in life, since she feels Luz could seem as helpless as the day she was found.
* Then why does Camilla look more like Luz than Eda does? Both Camilla and Luz are clearly of Latina descent. Furthermore, Eda looks much ''older'' than however Camilla is.
* Camilla is Luz' mother, but Eda is her mother, too: Eda [[SexShifter either shape-shifted into a guy]] and conceived Luz or [[HomosexualReproduction used magic to conceive a child through lesbian sex]].
* What???
* Two Things 1. Obviously Jossed as Luz’s father is dead. 2. What the actual fu-.

[[WMG:The "Day of Unity" is important to the Emperor because it will rid him of his affliction]]
Emperor Belos isn't in good shape that he has to rely on Palismans to sustain himself, and he's trying to find a way to get enough power to rid himself of his affliction. The Day of Unity likely involves a ritual that will give him that power to repair him.
* With the images he showed the coven heads implying he'd transport all of the Boiling Isles to the human realm, the fact that the human realm has no ambient/wild magic, and the fact that Belos' affliction is directly related to wild magic, it's possible being in a location with no ambient magic would aid in his cure.
** Jossed [[spoiler:The Day of Unity is a Mass Genocide of everything living in the Boiling Isles]].

[[WMG: Lilith and Hooty will have a FeudEpisode]]
* Lilith probably will be living in the Owl House after becoming a fugitive. There will be several episodes of her being in YouGetMeCoffee and earning everyone's trust back. Hooty will be the only one resisting because he's been programmed to see Lilith as a threat, and is mad at her for capturing Eda and making Luz cry. He spends a lot of time watching Lilith and passive-aggressively encouraging her to stay in the shed. Luz notes that Hooty, a NiceGuy, is [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness unusually hostile towards Lilith]] and goes to talk to him about it. They decide that Hooty has the right to test Lilith on trust, and a RelationshipSalvagingDisaster will happen where Lilith admits she may never make up for her mistakes but will keep trying, and Hooty admits he's being overprotective of Eda and not because of his programming. As a truce, he'll tuck her in and read her a bedtime story, much to her annoyance.
* Jossed. At least at the moment since as of now Lilith and Hooty seem to be great friends.

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is the author of ''Good Witch Azura''.]]
Azura's staff [[spoiler: looks like no witch's staff on the isles except for one -- Emperor Belos]].
* Josssed. The author turns out to be [[spoiler:a human named Mildred Featherwhyle]].

[[WMG:Eda built the portal to the human world herself.]]
* Jossed. "Keeping Up A-fear-ances" shows her finding the portal by accident when she was younger.

[[WMG: Principal Bump will treat Luz harsher.]]
He already broke some major roles for them by letting Eda onto school grounds and allowing Luz to learn all tracks. After what happened at the castle and the Conformatorium, though, given Hexside still relies on the Emperor's support, if Bump isn't a coven member himself, he'd definitely want her to keep a low profile, and might need to put her on a metaphorical leash to keep it that way.
* Jossed. He actually likes the trouble Luz and friends cause (it keeps him from being bored), and is in tears when the Blights strong arm him into expelling them.

[[WMG: The author of the Azura books might have the key to get Luz back home again.]]
That book series is the only thing the two worlds have in common. That can't be a coincidence, it must have some kind of significance.
* Jossed. [[spoiler:The books were written by a human and washed up on shore in the Boiling Isles, and the reason no one in the Isles (or rather, just Amity) knew was because Tibbles was running a scam by editing the author's photo to look like a witch]].

[[WMG: Camilla had a trip to the Boiling Isles as well.]]
However her attempts to share her adventures ended poorly with a friend disappearing never to be seen again [[spoiler:until his rise to power as emperor.]] That rippled outward as her attempt to explain what happened were mistaken for a mental breakdown from witnessing her friend die and Camilla was unintentionally gaslighted by well meaning human authorities until she accepted that the Boiling Isles were just a fantasy. Her move to send Luz to the Reality Check summer camp was out of concern that she was going to end up having a similar 'mental breakdown'.
* Jossed: "Yesterday's Lies" shows she is completely unfamiliar with magic, magical creatures, and the Boiling Isles.

[[WMG: Boscha is going to be the one who reveals Amity's friendships with Luz, Gus and Willow to her parents]]
The synopsis for "Escaping Expulsion" reveals that Amity's parents are going to get her new friends expelled from Hexside. Considering how much Boscha hates all of them, and how Amity's parents liked her enough to pick her as a suitable "friend" for Amity, she might rat Amity out to them in hopes of getting Amity back under her thumb.
* The synopsis also mentions Luz making a dangerous deal with them to undo the expulsion. What could this dangerous deal be? I'd imagine it involves Luz, Willow and Gus going up against Boscha and her friends in a magical battle to prove their worth. Amity's parents agreed to the deal only because they felt a couple of "weak" witches and a human would stand no chance, and in a more sadistic sense, it would be fun to watch.
* Jossed. Boscha had nothing to do with the episode's events.

[[WMG: Creepy Luz is a man made creation]]
Possibly a new type of Abomination or a simple clone, meaning someone created her just to be there with Camilia. Whatever reason that is however, is unknown.
* Jossed: "Creepy Luz" is a magical creature with the ability to shapeshift who stumbled over into the Human Realm.

[[WMG: Creepy Luz was somehow accidentally created by Luz herself]]
# The entire existence of Creepy Luz is incredibly convenient for Luz. Her doppelganger not only covers for her at the camp but is exactly the kind of daughter Camilla wants to have: calm and down-to-earth. Without her, the camp would have likely called in with her mother. Also from Creepy Luz' letters she seems to have enjoyed reality-check camp and when we do see her together with Camilla, the doppelganger is very supportive of her "mother." Her letters even mention making a friend at camp, which is exactly what Camilla wanted.

# The doppelganger also doesn't really fit into the plans of Emperor Belos who at that point did not even have access to the portal or cared about Luz as a threat. Most people from the Boiling Isles would flat out not know enough information to play a version of Luz that is good enough to fool even her own mother. If somebody else from the Boiling Isles would have disguised themselves as Luz, it would have likely been a horrible impersonation since the people there know almost nothing about humans or human society.

# So what if somehow during the crossover the doppelganger was created from Luz's torn emotions about what her mother wants her to be? Both episodes who show Luz enter the portal (A Lying Witch and the Warden + Young Blood, Old Souls) do focus quite a bit on the creepy ruined house the portal door leads to complete with eerie music. The second time it is shown the door even closes itself after the portal effect is gone.
** Jossed. She saw Luz during the events of the first episode and slipped back through the portal.

[[WMG: Once her cover is exposed, Creepy Luz will try to attack Camilla]]
* Jossed. Creepy Luz has a meek personality--when her cover was blown, she cried in fear.

[[WMG: Gwendolyn knew that Lilith cursed Eda]]
* Jossed. Gwendolyn did not pay enough attention to Lilith to notice anything. She only found out just during her debut episode.

[[WMG: Not the Luz living with Camila is the imposter]]
The Luz on the Boiling Islands is.
* {{Jossed}}: The Luz on the Boiling Islands is the genuine article, the one on Earth (Gravesfield, Conneticut, USA) is a [[spoiler:basilisk created by Belos who escaped him, fled through Eda's portal and shapeshifted into a duplicate of Luz]].

[[WMG: Luz will confront Creepy Luz in Yesterday's Lie in the human world but find herself at a huge disadvantage in a place where she can't use magic.]]
* Luz was easily overpowered by Lilith the moment they both entered the human realm so Luz will know that she can't perform magic there but that still leaves her far weaker than on the Boiling Islands. Not to mention that she does not even know what kind of confrontation awaits her at home.
** Jossed. There is a very brief confrontation but the two get along very soon.

[[WMG: Hunting Pailsmen will begin right off the previous episode's end]]
Following Luz coming to terms with the kiss and Edric and Emira teasing Amity about it.
* Jossed, the ColdOpen follows the Emperor's Coven and none of the Blights even appear.

[[WMG: "Hunting Palismen" will have Luz making up with Boscha or Mattholomule]]
Jossed, although Boscha is marginally less of a {{Jerkass}} to Luz.

[[WMG: Luz will discuss Amity's kiss with someone in "Hunting Palismen"]]
Jossed, she never speaks about it.

[[WMG: Luz will be seen talking to herself about the kiss in Hunting Pailsmen]]
Jossed.

[[WMG: Amity will apologise to Luz for the kiss]]
Thinking that she didn't like it and also for not asking her for permission.
* Jossed, she just asks Luz if they could forget about it, and [[spoiler:they later have a RelationshipUpgrade.]] To be fair, seeing that Hooty kidnapped her, they are probably even.

[[WMG: Belos isn't human, let alone a descendant of Philip Wittebane. ''Hunter is''.]]
* Let's summarize what we know so far: Belos has been in power for fifty years, he can use magic, and without eating Palismans he will devolve into ooze. If he is human, logically speaking he would be able to find other food on the Boiling Isles that is edible, and is wealthy enough to afford it. As Philip Wittebane's descendant, in theory, he would know about the diary and any means of replicating the portal. Yet for some reason Belos didn't take that Echo Mouse.
* Then let's look at Hunter. He claims to be the Emperor's nephew, with a MysteriousPast owing to the fact that he didn't inherit magic. Eda says that magic isn't inherited, however; it comes from a bile sac attached to the heart. Something isn't adding up, that there would be a witch born without powers.
Hunter is a descendant of Philip Wittebane. He is a hint to unlocking the Day of Unity, the way that Luz is. Belos "adopted" him when he was young, perhaps pulling him from Earth as a baby. Then he proceeded to lie to Hunter that he is part of the Coven, and gives him a staff. No one else is brave enough to contest this or question the story. Luz doesn't have enough context to do her Luz thing, and besides which Hunter nearly killed her and Eda. She's not going to go poking around in his backstory.  A part of Hunter, however, is questioning how he's not content in his life as head of the Emperor's Coven. He admits to Luz that he feels trapped, and wants more freedom than what Belos gives him. Subconsciously, the details aren't adding up.
* The ears are the only discrepancy; Hunter's ears are witchlike and match Eda, Amity, and Willow's own cochleas. With that said, Belos would want to ensure that Hunter never finds out the truth; if Eda could swap entire bodies, Belos could easily change a human boy's ears to make them pointy and proceed to lie to him.
* Eventually, the truth will come out on the Day of Unity, and Hunter will have a breakdown. Belos isn't really his uncle, and lied to him, using him as a pawn. All the love was for nothing.  Luz ends up snapping him out of it, pointing out that there are people and beings who care about him -- his Palisman, and she at least worries about his wellbeing. When they stop Belos, he resolves to find his family on Earth.
* Alternatively, Hunter is not secretly a human, but his family are witches who are descended from a HalfHumanHybrid child of Philip Wittebane's. This union could have resulted in a family line that are outwardly indistinguishable from other witches, but possesses a dominant human gene that deprives them of the bile sac that gives witches their innate magic.
** Jossed. [[spoiler:Belos is Philip and Hunter is a Grimwalker he created]].

[[WMG: Amity will not return until "Eclipse Lake".]]
Amity will not appear until that episode and will be absent from both "Eda's Requiem" and "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's door".
* Jossed. She appears briefly in "Eda's Requiem" and plays a major role in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door".

[[WMG: The mysterious figure is behind the imposter Luz.]]
The imposter Luz is actually a golem like Jean Luc, only much more advanced, created and sent to the Human Realm to cover for Luz's absence by the figure who may or may not be King's father. He did this either because 1) he realized that Luz would be important in aiding the downfall of Belos or 2) he just wanted to help Luz out.
* Jossed, imposter Luz was a basilisk-demon that switched places with Luz and took her life over on Earth in part by mistake and in part out of desperation.

[[WMG: "Eclipse Lake" will end with a scene on Earth.]]
As Luz puts the finishing touches on the portal or prepares to open it, the scene will cut to Earth, showing the Imposter Luz and Camila interacting with each other, possibly with Camila starting to realize that there's something off with "Luz".
* Jossed. The scene where Camila has a shocked expression does not appear in the episode at all, nor do we see any events on Earth at all. It probably or certainly will appear in "Yesterday's Lies".

[[WMG:''Elsewhere and Elsewhen'' will be a WholeEpisodeFlashback.]]
Jossed: the episode involves [[spoiler:time travel, not a flashback.]]

[[WMG: In season 2b, Hexside will be on break.]]
Mirroring how summer is ending in Earth, Hexside will be ending it's current school year and let the students out on break. This will allow Gus, Wilow, and Amity to spend more time at the Owl House and partake in more adventures.
* Jossed: school remains in session, and "Any Sport in a Storm" takes place in part during a school function.

[[WMG: In the finale, Belos will be revealed to be Luz's dad]]
Building on the WMG mentioned in the "General" folder here... In "Eclipse Lake", we learn that Belos has fond memories of Earth, which could imply he's a human, or it could simply mean he used to have an access to a portal between the realms and spent a lot of time on Earth. In either case, while living on Earth he could've fallen in love with Camila and fathered Luz before getting permanently stuck on Boiling Isles. In "Yesterday's Lie", we see a framed photo with Luz as a young child, Camila, and Luz's dad, but the dad's face is obscured by sunlight on the glass, which seems a bit too convenient. Luz has never seen Belos's face beneath the mask, and whatever's corrupting him might've also changed his voice, so in her one encounter with him she wouldn't have recognised him as her dad. This would also explain why Belos let Luz escape so easily in "Young Blood, Old Souls" even after she destroyed the portal to Earth. Belos did recognise Luz, and he doesn't want to hurt her if there's any way to avoid that.
* Most likely Jossed. "Reaching Out" reveals that [[spoiler:Luz's father died when she was young, but not too young to remember him, and while we still don't see his full face, what we do see looks nothing like Belos, or Philip for that matter.]]

[[WMG: Lilith will be the first one Luz tells about her promise to Camila]]
So "Yesterday's Lie" ends with Luz promising Camila to stay back in the Human Realm once the portal’s finally working. And she can’t find it in her to tell Eda, King, and Hooty about this because it would mean that they wouldn't see each other again. At some point in the near future, Luz is gonna need to find a way to get it off her chest. As previously mentioned, she can’t find it in her to tell the residents of the Owl House yet because of how she feel’s they’ll likely react. And it'll likely be a similar case with Willow, Gus, and especially Amity. However, Lilith may be the perfect one to talk with about this. Based on the first 4 episodes of the season, it’s safe to say that Luz is at a point where at least trusts Lilith enough to be able to confide in her about something like this. Although while Lilith has grown during her brief time staying at the Owl House, she’s not necessarily as close with Luz as the other characters are. However, this may be for the better in this instance. Because her reaction upon finding out about the promise, while she may be disappointed that she won’t see Luz again, probably won’t be as big compared to how the others will react, meaning that Luz can trust her to be more level-headed when asking about how to handle the situation. It's already confirmed that Lilith is set to appear in “Elsewhere and Elsewhen” to help Luz find out more regarding Philip Wittebane, so here’s how it might go down:
* Luz and Lilith set off to find out more about Philip.
* At some point, when the topic of the portal comes up, Lilith asks about the test run from “Yesterday’s Lie” (either Luz mentions it earlier in the episode. or Hooty wrote to her about it).
* Luz starts to become anxious, remembering her promise to Camila, and figures that Lilith may be the right person to talk to about it (see above).
* After hearing about the situation, Lilith understands why Luz is strugling with this, but still advises her to tell the others, no matter how painful it may be, recalling [[Recap/TheOwlHouseS1E19YoungBloodOldSouls her own experience where a lack of communication ended up hurting a loved one]].
* Later, after the quest is done, the episode ends with Luz telling the others (at least Eda, King, and Hooty) about the promise.
** Jossed. "Follies at the Coven Day Parade" shows that [[spoiler:Eda, King, and Hooty found out between episodes. And Luz also tells Amity by the end of the episode]].

[[WMG: Jean-Luc is a stonesleeper.]]
One of the ingredients required to create [[spoiler: a Grimwalker]] is stonesleeper lungs. Jean-Luc seems to be partially made of stone, and he and his kind are shown to be essentially sleeping when not needed.
* Jossed. Stonesleepers appear in "Elsewhere and Elsewhen" and are a completely different species.

[[WMG: How Eda will free Raine from the Coven's brainwashing.]]
As they did in "Follies at the Coven's Day Parade", Eda and Raine will have another fight in which Eda will admit to Raine that pushing them away was the worst mistake of her life and she'll reiterate that she loves them. This won't actually restore Raine's memories, but Eda's sincerity will convince them that she's telling the truth and they'll turn on the Emperor's Coven again.
* Likely Jossed as of "Them's the Breaks, Kid," as [[spoiler:Raine has already neutralized the brainwashing on their own.]]

[[WMG: Philip is NOT Belos - but they are related.]]
2811) Philip doesn't start speaking like Belos until he absorbed a Palisman. So it would seem that the voice effect can be replicated by anyone else absorbing Palisman - and what does Belos do?
2822) If Philip hated Witches so much, why would he stick around for hundreds of years and pretend to be one? The portal was obviously constructed, so why wouldn't he take it?
2833) There's nothing to imply Belos' condition isn't genetic - if he's related to Philip, he could have easily inheritated it.
2844) From the way Belos spoke about the Human Realm in Eclipse Lake, the impression was more that his time there was a brief visit, rather than being born there.
Belos is the product of the Wittebane linage, and his condition and method of dealing with it are all family traditions.
** Jossed. [[spoiler:Belos is Philip]].

[[WMG: In "Hollow Mind", the Owl House crew will attempt to restore Raine's memory.]]
In that episode, the group will try to use the spell from "Understanding Willow" to enter Raine's mindscape and restore their memories. However, Hunter will catch them in the act and, in the ensuing struggle, will accidentally transport himself and Luz into Belos' mind instead. And while they're stuck inside, Raine and Eda will have another confrontation, with Eda once again trying to convince Raine of the truth like in "Follies at the Coven's Day Parade".
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:Their mind needs no restoring, because they used Bard magic on the tea to keep their marbles]].

[[WMG: Belos consumption of palismen will be the reason for Hunter's defection]]
Hunter already is not only horrified by the perspective of Flapjack being consumed by his uncle, he also doesn't want anyone else to lose their beloved friend and ally, either (e.g. how Hunter saved his flyer derby teammates and their palismen). At some point in the future, either Belos will find out about Flapjack and try to consume him (either use it as he did with the others, to teach Hunter a lesson to not defy him or both) or the palisman of someone else he cares about (Willow's? Maybe from another of his derby teammates? Luz'? Maybe even Amity's, even though she's his enemy?), which will make Hunter realize, what Belos really is and defect from his side (to Raine's [=BATs=] perhaps, who were sprung by him during his escape? To the Owl House? To another rebel group? To the Boiling Isles underground?).
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:Hunter defected because he saw, what Belos/Philip did to his predecessors, his other evil deeds in past and present and his plans for the future.]]

[[WMG: Lilith is going to go with The Owl Crew to visit King’s Kind]]]
Since she is shown in a photo with the Owl Crew, it is likely obvious that she will be joining them to visit King’s kind while the latter meets his father.
* Jossed. She arrives at the Owl House but stays behind with Eda.

[[WMG: Mattholomule will team up with Gus]]
Since “Labyrinth Runners” does say that Gus will team up with an “unlikely ally, it is theorized that Mattholomule might team up with Gus
* Jossed. Albeit he is on the same side as Gus from the start.

[[WMG: Boscha will team up with Gus]]
Since “Labyrinth Runners” does say that Gus will team up with an “unlikely ally, it is theorized that Boscha might team up with Gus.
* Jossed. She does not have a major role in the episode.

[[WMG: [[spoiler: The Glandus Kids will team up/help Gus]]]]
[[spoiler: Since they were [[FalseFriend false friends]] to Gus in “Through the Magic Glass”, it would make sense for them to appear.]]
* Jossed. They do not even appear, aside from a memory illusion.

[[WMG: [[spoiler: Bria will team up with Gus]]]]
[[spoiler: Since she was a false friend towards Gus throughout “Through The Magic Glass”, it would make sense for her to appear in “Labyrinth Runners”, since she was mostly just using her friends, including Mattholomule and Gus, just to become popular.]]
* Jossed. She does not even appear, aside from a memory illusion.

[[WMG: The illusion coven head is looking for Hunter]]
In the promo for "Labyrinth Runners" we see someone who resembles the illusion coven head and Gus looking at them fearfully. It's possible Hunter may have picked Hexside to hide out in, and the Emperor's Coven is searching for him. Given the imagery of a labyrinth attached to Hexside in the promo, it's also possible that Hexside might be connected to a labyrinth, which could further explain why he would pick it to hide in. The illusion coven head could have then been given the mission to find Hunter and either bring him to Belos or kill him, explaining their presence at Hexside as it is known that Belos wants Hunter dead. It could also be that finding Hunter isn't their original purpose for being at the school, but they may decide to come after him if he's found.
* Jossed. He shows some interest in capturing Hunter, but his interest is focused on Gus.

[[WMG: Gus will fight the illusion coven head]]
Promo art implies the illusion coven head will make an appearance in "Labyrinth Runners", which Gus is set to star in. It's possible if the illusion head is truly allied with Belos that they will fight Gus at some point, showing off both of their abilities. However, a fight could also occur even if the illusion head isn't allied with Belos, as Gus might assume they're evil and attack them due to confusion, or vice versa if the illusion head mistakes Gus for a threat.
* Jossed. He has a massive outburst of power that takes Graye down without a fight.

[[WMG: Belos seeks to deplete the Boiling Isles of magic.]]
It's clear that the system that Emperor Belos has built has been to ensure that he is the strongest magic user on the Isles and no one else will have the power to challenge him. But his goal is only partway realized, since people could still potentially unite to overthrow him. So he's trying to open a portal to the human world that is free of magic and drain enough of the Titan's power there that the denizens of the Isles can no longer replenish the magic they deplete and eventually lose all their powers. Only Belos himself gets to keep strong magical powers, siphoned directly from the Titan's corpse, and those loyal to him get some crumbs, but not enough to challenge him even in numbers.
* {{Jossed}}: Acoording to "Hollow Mind", he tries to [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution kill all magicals of the Boiling Isles]].]]

[[WMG:Emperor Belos meant it when he doesn't want to invade the Human World. He just wants to go home.]]
If the theory that proves that Belos is a human that somehow made it to the Boiling Isles is correct, then his whole plan is nothing massive like expanding his Empire. Rather, he somehow found himself in an inhospitable Demon World, survived long enough to learn glyphs and used this lost magical power to instill order. He created the Coven System and enforced it mercilessly not because he wants power, but because he finds runaway magic and demonic anarchy to be so brick-crappingly terrifying that he instilled order as a method of creating some semblance of peace and logic to an illogical world run by something as illogical as wild magic.

Sure Luz thrives in the Boiling Isles just fine, but she has Eda to protect her when things get out of hand and Luz is just so much of a ManicPixieDreamGirl that [[AngstWhatAngst she can bounce back from whatever horrors she faced just fine]]. Belos had ''neither'' and it scarred him in more ways than one. If the Boiling Isles is this terrifying with a functioning government, just imagine how horrible it must have been ''before'' he showed up and started making laws.

Whatever method he used to get there must have been a one-way trip, so when he found out that one rogue witch happens to have a portal to the Human World on-command, he would jump at the chance at capturing her, even if it means making her sister catch her.

It is possible that the reason why he has been drinking Palisman magic is because his health is failing due to old age, conventional Healing magic not enough for the detrimental effects of time. He has been in power for ''50 years''. That is a long time for a human.
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:He did that so as to [[FinalSolution kill them all]].]]

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is trying to, quite literally, unite the Human World and the Boiling Isles' dimension.]]

The Day of Unity is exactly as it sounds-bringing together the Human World and the Boiling Isles will 1. allow Belos a modicum of control over more people once every wild witch has been bound to a coven, 2. make him seem like a god to citizens of both worlds, and 3. fit in with his "I'm not *invading*" comment-why invade when you can bring your conquest to you?
* [[spoiler:"Hunting Palismen" seems to be hinting at this]].
** {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:He tries to destroy the latter to supposedly save the former.]]

[[WMG: The Blights had some involvement with Eda's curse]]
Younger versions of the Blight parents can be seen in the flashback of the Season 1 finale, at the very moment the curse takes effect. Unlike the rest of the crowd, who reacts in horror at Eda's beast form, the two look on rather nonchalantly, with Mrs. Blight even giving off a suspicious smirk.

Going more in-depth, they convinced Lilith that the only way she could ever hope to be in the Emperor's Coven was by "playing dirty". Lilith was of course adamant about the idea of cursing her sister, but they fooled her into believing that the curse would only be temporary, knowing themselves otherwise.

Lilith will seek help from the Blights to heal Eda's curse, only to realize the horrible truth. Her reaction will directly mirror Eda's in "Agony of a Witch" upon realizing who cursed her. Worse yet, this will drive a wedge between Luz and Amity's relationship.
* Not likely that they told Lilith about the curse because the flashback shows her having found it herself, but it's more likely the Blights could've ''created'' the curse sold it to a black market dealer, and waited for some unlucky sucker to purchase it.
** {{Jossed}}: The curse was created by [[spoiler:the Collector, who bound the owl beast to a cursed scroll, which found its way to the Boiling Isles (seemingly) on accident.]]

[[WMG: Season 2 will provide characterization of Lilith's palisman]]
Currently, all we know about Lilith's palisman is that it is a white raven. With Lilith mostly likely living in the Owl House as of the season 1 finale, it will provide ample opportunity to reveal information about Lilith's palisman, just as season 1 gradually developed Owlbert. This will include its name, gender (assuming palismans have gender), and any number of personality quirks. Perhaps it and Owlbert will develop some kind of kinship, too.
* In addition, the raven will be identified as female.
* Contrasting with the cute and friendly Owlbert, Lilith's palisman will be [[CreepyCrows creepy]] and openly hostile to anyone who isn't Lilith. However, it'll gradually warm up to the other inhabitants of the Owl House, eventually allowing itself to be wielded by Luz just like Owlbert.
** {{Jossed}}: When Lilith's palisaman was shown detached from its staff for the first time, it was in no way hostile to anyone at all.

[[WMG: The Golden Guard is Emperor Belos' son]]
It seems rather strange that despite the Golden Guard being rather goofy (at least in comparison to what you'd expect from someone who is seemingly Belos' right hand man) and him being a teenager (which seems rather young to be where he is) that he would be in the position he is right now. There is one answer that makes sense though. He is Belos' son and thus everything he has is the result of nepotism.
* {{Jossed}}: He's an [[spoiler:artificial grimwalker created by Belos.]]

[[WMG: The Golden Guard is Eda’s son]]

We haven’t seen much of him yet, but what we have seen bears a remarkable amount to Eda\

# His grey hair and golden eyes cause him to resemble her--of course Eda’s hair isn’t naturally grey, and golden eyes are fairly common on the Boiling Isles, but it’s still uncanny.
# Like Eda, he’s impressively talented with magic for his age.
# He’s cocky and a bit of a jerk, but we see a softer side once he interacts with King; just like Eda.
# His owl themed mask and stave mirrors Eda--his mask even resembles Hooty a great deal.
# He even says “BYEEEE!” the same way Eda does!
# When he comes up in the title sequence, he’s in the sun column.
* {{Jossed}}: He's an [[spoiler:artificial grimwalker created by Belos.]]

[[WMG: Related to the above any human who crosses between worlds leaves behind a duplicate in their homeworld.]]
At least if they're gone for an extended period of time humans leave a void where they should be in their own world. The world compensates by generating a duplicate reflecting the originals personality and character. It's unclear at this time if this duplications is perfect or perhaps flawed in a way that results in inverted morality. This prevents multiversal problems from coming up but also makes it hard to return to ones old life as you either have to kill or forcibly switch places with the double. Belos incidentally is the double left behind by Philip Wittebane when he left the human world and on returning he forced Belos into the Boiling Isles.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: Creepy Luz was made by the "Think Inside The Box" Camp]]
The place doesn't actually correct the behavior of children that act up too much but rather creates full replacements of them and sends them back in the child's place. The place is run much like the Conformatorium is on the Boiling Isles, being run by draconian KnightTemplar types who have zero tolerance for antics like Luz gets up to. As for the logistics of how they would do this, more than likely a mundane conspiracy where agents or workers gather DNA and ascertain important details about their relations with family and friends. They get clued in whenever someone calls on their services. As for what happens to the original kids, [[NothingIsScarier well that won't be shown or talked about]]. Luz will be a SpannerInTheWorks for their plans because of never showing up, which they'll just brush off as fine by them; thinking she ran away or something like that.
* The "Think Inside The Box" camp is run by expatriates of the Boiling Island who create the changelings through magic and use "titan's blood" to keep contact with their allies on the Boiling Islands. They are not subordinates or allies of Belos.
** It was actually a [[spoiler:basilisk created by Belos who escaped him, fled through Eda's portal and shapeshifted into a duplicate of Luz]].

* [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], this punk's a [[spoiler:human, and his name is Philip Wittebane, the witch hunter]].

[[WMG: That wasn't King's father but some other kind of relation]]
While he (or she) looked like King, having King's father show up so early in the season in such a way could be a little anticlimatic. Instead, it'll be revealed that that was another reltiave of King's, like a grandfather or grandmother who wasn't at the temple when whatever happened went down. So someone who can move the arc along, but also doesn't have the full picture.

[[WMG: Emperor Belos is from another Titan.]]
"Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" reveals that there are multiple Titans in the Demon Realm, and the fact that Eda's curse originates from another Titan seems to be the reason why [[WrongContextMagic no one on the Boiling Isles is familiar with it.]] Belos' magic is also WrongContextMagic, so he may hail from another Titan as well. 414* {{Jossed}}: Belos is [[spoiler:not a grimwalker, he made (clones of) grimwalkers.]]

[[WMG: If Belos is a Grimwalker, he's a flawed one.]]
Tying into the above theory about Belos being the Grimwalker rather than Hunter, the book presented Grimwalker eyes as being red/pink rather than Belos' blue. The explaination for this is that whoever made Belos didn't do it right, and that's why he's suffering from his curse.
* {{Jossed}}: Punk's [[spoiler:human]].

[[WMG: In the first episode of Season 2b, Luz will be a StepfordSmiler.]]
In that episode, Luz will act incredibly upbeat and cheerful, even by her standards, as she tries to have as much fun with her friends as possible while trying not to think about her promise to Camila. However, everyone will notice that something's bothering her and eventually Luz won't be able to keep the act up, breaking down and revealing the promise to them. While they won't have an answer for what Luz should do, Luz's friends will comfort her and assure her that they'll support her every step of the way.
* The episode's title, "Follies at the Coven Day Parade". Follies are acts that are generally considered foolish, which may not only relate to whatever "fun" Luz tries to have, but also to how Luz bottling up her emotions is ultimately a foolish decision.
** {{Jossed}} in the sense that [[spoiler:it happened in another episode ("Reaching Out").]]

[[WMG: Belos is the one living out a "witch fantasy".]]
In "Yesterday's Lie", Camila asks Luz if she abandoned Earth to live out a "witch fantasy". It'll turn out that this is what Belos did: After arriving on the Boiling Isles, Belos decided that he rather stay there and learn magic than return to Earth, going as far to mutilate his own ears so that he could pretend that he was a witch.
* [[{{Jossed}} More like a]] [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution witch extermination fantasy]].]]

[[WMG:As mentioned above Hunter is a decendent of Philip Wittebane. Belos is actually his uncle though, his great-great-great uncle Philip's brother.]]
Of the two Belos was more the brawns then the brains. Unfortunately desperate to get home he ignored Philip trying to warn him about fools blood resulting in a cave in. Philip presumed him dead and continued working on a way to return home solo, but Belos lived on trapped deep in the circulatory system of the titan subsisting off titan blood. as a result his life was greatly extended but horrifically mutated in the process. Centuries passed before he managed to trek all the way to the titans still beating heart and eventually pulling himself back together from the amorphous mass hed become.

He sought out hunter searching for his brother only to find him missing for years and his remaining legacy being a series of powerless witches due to human genetics intermixed with witch. Belos wants to merge below earth And the boiling isles hoping it will stabilize his condition as well as retrieving his brother from the space between worlds. Philip in creating the portal succeeded but didn realize there would need to be a living mind serving as a host to keep the portal properly functioning leaving him as a living part of the portal, and the voice whispering to Luz during her stay.
* [[{{Jossed}} Actually]], Hunter is [[spoiler:clone based on a species called "grimwalker" and also (likely) based on Belos'/Philip's friend/brother]].

[[WMG: Belos killed Hunter's parents and Hunter knows]]
Hunter knows that Belos killed his parents, he just won't do anything about it since he believes if he does one thing that make Belos mad then he will die too. Evidence that points that was in "Eclipse Lake" when he feared he will let Belos down and he was digging himself a grave, accepting his fate.
* {{Jossed}} in the sense that [[spoiler:Hunter has no parents in the usual sense, as he's an artificial clone of a grimwalker and also (likely) based on Belos'/Philip's friend/brother]].

[[WMG: "Clouds on the Horizon" will open on a POVShot of Luz's palisman.]]
Kind of to ease into its introduction before we see what it looks like, by having us see through its eyes first.
* [[{{Jossed}} Unfortunately not]], it not only didn't open with a POVShot of her palisman, the palisman didn't even hatch (Luz carved an egg, not an animal).

[[WMG: [[spoiler: The Collector will possess Luz]]]]
The small bit of the Collector's physical form seen is a nose-up shot, with half of his face being orange and the other half being blue, something which seems to reflect a lot of shots of Luz in poor lighting having half of her face darkened and the other half in full brightness - including one shot from "Elsewhere and Elsewhen" where Luz has a similar nose-up shot underneath the moon, which is heavily associated with the Collector. His white, messy hair is very similar to Luz's own messy hair, and he has what looks to be a blue hood that looks a ''lot'' like Luz's own witch cloak. With Belos's own body being corrupted, it's possible that he needed to promise the Collector another human specimen to possess and be free with. It would be an incredibly interesting arc for the last "Season", with Luz's friends stepping up as protagonists in order to save their friend before she's able to stop the BigBad once and for all.
* {{Jossed}}. The Collector just looks like that, and doesn't need to possess anyone to be freed - they just needed some Titan's blood on their mirror. Instead of the main conflict being saving Luz, it looks to instead be Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow, and Hunter needing to return to the Boiling Isles in order to stop the [[MadGod Mad]] PhysicalGod who has taken them over.

[[WMG: Adrian Graye was TheMole of the Katts Resistance]]
Think about it. In “Clouds of the Horizon”, there was something different with [[spoiler:Steve]] as he was being suspiciously more serious and quiet than usual like it wasn't his actual self.
* Jossed. Terra figured out the plot and warned Belos, with there being no indication there were any spies at all.

[[WMG:Adrian Graye is the reason why [[spoiler:Belos knows of the Resistance and their plans]]]]
Specifically he is employing his illusions to [[spoiler:sneak himself, a member of the Emperor's Coven or even a minion of his to learn of the plans of the resistance and sabotage them from within. With either Eberwolf, Steve or even Raine themself being impersonated]]
* {{Jossed}}: Terra figured it out by herself.

[[WMG: The fact that Eda has taken Raine's place will cause trouble with the draining spell.]]
Eda's curse will cause the draining spell to turn into a spell that rots everyone and everything.
* {{Jossed}}: Terra noticed the curse activating, interrupted Eda and switched her out for the real Raine.

[[WMG: When Kikimora arrives at Belos with Luz, she'll [[SureLetsGoWithThat pretend she was her intended target]].]]
Luz is, after all, on the Emperor's Most Wanted list, so bringing her in would still look good for Kikimora.
* {{Jossed}}: Kikimora didn't notice it, but Belos did, and mocked her for it.

[[WMG: Belos will reveal to both Odalia and Kikimora that he [[ILied lied to them]] about sparing them from The Day of Unity]]
Despite it turning out that both Odalia and Kikimora already know about what will be happening, despite being aware of what will be happening, it is heavily likely that Belos will reveal to them them that he was lying about sparing them.
* {{Jossed}}: He didn't do that, but they found out themselves (they felt how the coven mark started to kill them) and (likely) even survived to tell the tale (the Collector interrupted the Day of Unity before it did what Belos had in mind).

[[WMG: [[spoiler:Possible Moles of the Katts Resistance]]]]
[[spoiler: Since it was revealed by Kikimora that Belos has “eyes” everyone, with there being possibilities of who might be the mole of the resistance, there are some rumor possibilities of there being a mole maybe or no.]]
* {{Jossed}}: Terra had a suspicion about Raine and Eda, and told the emperor.

[[WMG: Belos will learn what King is.]]
[[spoiler:After learning that King is a Titan, he may draw blood from him and use it to replenish what was lost from the key and repair it. King, however, will get a fresh bandage on his cut and get to be a boo-boo buddy again.]]
* {{Jossed}}: He didn't manage to before he was turned into a smear on the wall by the Collector.

[[WMG:A flashback to shortly after "Eda's Requeiem" will see Raine getting a BerateAndSwitch from Darius.]]
Darius will have berated Raine for the way they acted against Belos...because if they want to foil the emperor's plans, they need to [[DoWrongRight do it right]]. This will show when Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf started conspiring together. Bonus points if Darius was the one who warned Raine in advance about Terra Snapdragon's brainwashing tea.
* [[spoiler:Jossed. Instead of a flashback, Raine simply tells the Owl House crew that Darius was already against Belos and protecting them when he caught them.]]

[[WMG: Gus will use Graye’s mirror earring as a Chekhov's Gun to foil Belos’ plans in the Season 2 Finale.]]
Back in “Hollow Mind”, Eda and King rightfully point out to Luz that if she has to break 50 (actually centuries) years of totalitarian, social-darwinism mindset and to expose Belos as a delusional, genocidal fraud, she must find and show people concrete proof. Since Graye’s mirror earring has the power to amplify Illusion magic by showing people’ memories, Gus will use it to give Luz and the people of the Boiling Isles concrete proof about Belos’ true colors, leading to his downfall.
* {{Jossed}}: The Collector prevented the Day of Unity from being completed

[[WMG:Gus will do the announcement together with Luz and Hunter, but [[spoiler:the broadcasting across all of the Boiling Isdles will be done by the Titan itself, and the "connection" between the Titan and Gus and his allies will be done by King]]]]
'''Warning, heavy spoilers for Manga/AttackOnTitan from chapter "Island Devils"/episode "From You, 2,000 Years Ago" and [=OFC=] for The Owl House from the episode "Edge of the World", don't proceed unless you've read/watched them!!'''

[[spoiler:Anyone born on the Boiling Isles, witch, demon and grimwalker alike, has a similar connection to the Titan as the Subjects of Ymir have to Ymir Fritz: Their physiology can't be controlled by the Titan (in his "death throes" (he's not quite dead, it seems), the Titan made sure of that so as not to endanger his future "children" in such a way), but the connection between him and his "children" can be used as a sort of a [=PSA=] system the same way Eren used his powers to make the announcement to all Subjects of Ymir. King, as the descendant of the Titan, plays the role of the Founding Titan and the member of the royal dynasty and "connects" Gus and his allies to the Titan and transfers Luz and Hunter's memories of Belos'/Philip's mindscape to all the inhabitants of the Boiling Isles, who then revolt and file a divorce of Belos' head from the rest of his body.]]
* {{Jossed}}, see above.

[[WMG: The [=CATs=] will attempt to have their coven sigils removed before the Day Of Unity]]
The Draining Spell will target witches through their coven sigils, and anyone in the resistance who isn’t Luz or Eda will likely still have coven sigils on them, and will be vulnerable. Coven heads and Coven Scouts can place any sigil on a witch, but they wouldn’t know how to remove one. Darius and Raine will attempt to unbrand Lilith, Eberwolf, the bards, and Steve, before unbranding each other but it will be a moderately difficult and somewhat painful process because they haven’t tried it before.
* {{Jossed}}: They didn't, possibly because it was impossible.
** Well, not quite, in the epilogue of the last episode, it was shown that [[spoiler:Aladaor, together with other witches, developed a device that channels healing magic to remove sigils]].

[[WMG: The Galderstones will play a role in the final showdown with Belos.]]
Gus will convince the stones' guardian to let the resistance use them to boost their magic, thereby evening the odds in the fight against Belos and his followers.
* {{Jossed}}: He didn't use those against Belos... Yet (the goop doesn't seem to be entirely dead and the Collector is likely the new enemy)?

[[WMG: Luz and Eda will make use of King's blood.]]
[[spoiler: Given the reveal that King is a Titan and they have recently used up all of the Titan's blood in their possession it won't take long for one of the good guys to figure out that King's blood ''is'' also Titan's Blood and thus perfect for use in the portal.]]
* {{Jossed}}: They didn't and are now in no position to do so, at least not for now.

[[WMG: To contest Belos religious legitimacy as prophet of the Titan, [[spoiler:the anti-Belos conspiracy around the three coven heads will use King's status as the descendant of the Titan]]]]
* {{Jossed}}: Eda told him to keep him being a titan secret.

[[WMG: Luz will strike a near-literal DealWithTheDevil to break up the Belos-Collector alliance]]
The Collector works with Belos to be freed from his prison, an aim the Titan Trappers also pursue, but without needing to sacrifice the population of the Boiling Isles. In fact, they wouldn't even need to sacrifice King to do so, that was just Bill being a pointy-eared version of [[Literature/MobyDick Captain Ahab trying to spear his white whale]]. So Luz, Eda, and the anti-Belos conspiracy will strike a deal with the Collector where they free the Collector together with the Titan Trappers and in turn, he'll turn against Belos.
* {{Jossed}}: Luz didn't strike a deal with the Collector, King did: For saving the Boiling Isles, he'd play a made-up game with him.

[[WMG: Raine will accidentally let slip [[spoiler: that they're not actually brainwashed.]]]]
[[spoiler: During a conversation, Raine will [[SayingTooMuch accidentally refer]] to something that they shouldn't know due to their supposed amnesia, cluing in the person they're speaking to on their deception. The best case scenario is that they'll do this to a member of the Owl House, like Luz or possibly even Eda--the worst case scenario is that they'll do this to Terra Snapdragon or another loyal Belos supporter.]]
* [[spoiler:{{Jossed}}: Raine willingly brings in the Owl House crew after they're caught, and Terra figures out the deception on her own on the Day of Unity.]]

[[WMG: Belos will create another Grim Walker]]
[[spoiler: With the reveal of Hunter being the latest in a long line of Grim Walkers that Belos had to kill once they betrayed him, it may be just a matter of time before the emperor whips up yet another one to dispose of him and throw Luz off his tracks. This new "Hunter" will look very much identical to him, and once they meet up, Luz will have to SpotTheImposter]].
* [[spoiler: Adding on to this, unlike Hunter, and presumably all the other Grim Walkers, this new Hunter will be fully aware of his status as a Grim Walker and [[ExpendableClone all it entails]].]]
** This grimwalker will [[spoiler:break the record on how fast he betrays Belos]].
*** {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:He didn't want to create one before he killed the present one (he likely didn't want to create one at all, since the Day of Unity would've taken care of Hunter, anyway).]]

[[WMG: The Boiling Isles will be abandoned.]]
Although Luz and her allies will stop the Day of the Unity and save all the witches, the damage to the Isle will be too extensive and force them to evacuate it, possibly sending everyone to the Human Realm or to another Titan.
* {{Jossed}}: The Day of Unity was stopped by the Collector and there was no extensive damage to the Isles.

[[WMG: The witch with Philip's brother cursed Belos]]
In some of Belos' memories, his brother is seen with a witch. However, near the end of them, she is seen using magic and hitting a figure in the distance with it. It's possible she did this as vengeance for him killing his brother, given he is dead in the foreground of the memory. Whatever the magic did could be linked to how Belos managed to survive for centuries despite being a human, and he may have attempted to treat it with Palismen.
* {{Jossed}}: The "curse" came from Belos consumption of palismen.

[[WMG: The Day of Unity will not be stopped]]
The summary for "King's Tide" states that the Day of Unity will begin during that episode, and there are three specials planned after that. This could easily mean Belos' plan will go off despite the heroes' best efforts. However, as it is a children's show, it's highly probable Luz and co will be able to undo it in the end.
* It's unknown what exactly will happen should the draining spell work, though it's pretty likely they can’t show the corpses entire populace of the Boiling Isles everywhere for three episodes. There's a likelihood it could be similar to disintegration or petrification, or even the Collector turning everyone into scrolls like with the Owl Beast. There's also the possibility that the spell could be mitigated in some way and leave everyone alive but powerless.
** {{Jossed}}: The Day of Unity was stopped, but by the Collector.

[[WMG: Flora D'splora will become the new head of the Emperor's Coven.]]
[[spoiler: With Hunter gone]], Belos will name Flora as the interim leader of the Emperor's Coven--purely for the sake of keeping up appearance on his part considering [[spoiler: what the Day of Unity [[FinalSolution really means]] for the inhabitants of the Boiling Isles.]]
* Jossed. There is no indication Belos named a new leader for the Emperor's Coven before the Day of Unity and Flora makes no appearances.

[[WMG: Luz and Hunter believe they're in Belos' mind in Hollow Mind, but they're wrong. They're [[spoiler: in Hunter's.]]]]

Sure, the portraits of past events we see in the preview wouldn't be out of place in a self-absorbed dictator's mind, but they could also be depicting [[spoiler: Hunter's blind devotion/hero worship towards Belos.]] The fact that he and Luz initially believe they're in Belos' mind is just a RedHerring. The origin of the title "Hollow Mind" will come from the fact that [[spoiler: Hunter's mind is suspiciously empty or full of gaps, either due to having his memory altered by Belos, or because he has no real memories from before 16, due to his Grimwalker status meaning he was effectively [[BornAsAnAdult born as a teen.]]]]
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:They ''were'' in Belos' noggin. His status as a Grimwalker is confirmed, however, albeit by Belos himself.]]

[[WMG:Witches are only able to recharge their bile sacs in the Boiling Isles]]
Witches rely on magic that is inherent to the Boiling Isles, to recharge their tools and bile sacs. Amity's training wand, for example, might behave similarly, considering that the Boiling Isles makes heavy use of {{organic technology}}.

As such, witches might only have a limited supply of magic in the human realm. In the Demon Realm, they might passively absorb magic from the BackgroundMagicField, and magic food that they eat. Without that, a witch might only be able to cast a few spells before running dry, and being unable to use their magic.

It might be worse for Hunter. If the Galdorstone draws on the Titan's magic permeating the Boiling Isles to amplify magic, in the human realm, it might run dry, or have only a limited amount of time before it can no longer power a Grimwalker, and becomes inert. For Hunter, that might manifest as weakness/paralysis, lethargy, or [[ImHavingSoulPains heart attacks]], since a Grimwalker's galdorstone also functions as their heart, and power source. Assuming Belos skimped out on the power source part, so that Hunter can't use magic, he would be further limited in his viable time in the human realm before he goes into a coma/dies.
* {{Jossed}}: After several months in the Human Realm, all witches were still able to cast magic and Hunter suffered no ill effects of being in the Human Realm.

[[WMG:Belos's remains will be discovered by Jacob Hopkins]]
And Belos will take the opportunity to gain a new body by possessing Jacob.
* {{Jossed}}: Belos didn't interact with Jacob at all.

[[WMG:Philip is [[KilledOffForReal really dead as a doornail]] and the goop is a conglomeration of the souls of the many palismen Philip consumed, trying to help the enemies of their murderer]]
* The episode "Thanks to them" has this theory [[spoiler:Jossed.]]

[[WMG: Gus got a clue on how to return to the Boiling Isles.]]
It'll turn out that, while forcing Belos to relive his worst memories, Gus saw something that will put them on track to finding a way to get back to the Demon Realm, likely involving how Philip and Caleb originally traveled to there.
* {{Jossed}}: Their clue to the means of getting back to the Demon Realm came from a hidden map under the old house and was found by Flapjack.

[[WMG: Luz will be ForcedOutOfTheCloset to Camila by her friends, or will come out on accident.]]
Homophobia doesn't exist in the Boiling Isles-- to the extent that even ''Odalia'' is a PoliticallyCorrectVillain-- so the Hexside Crew will likely see no problem with mentioning it to Camila. (This might also inadvertantly happen in the flurry of trying to explain their very recent TraumaCongaLine that got them to Gravesfield.) In a move that shows both Camila's CharacterDevelopment and increasing signs of OpenMindedParent, Camila will instead be overjoyed at Luz not only finding reliable, caring friends (after years of having none her own age), but at her entering a healthy, loving, and adorable teen romance. Bonus points if this sequence ultimately echoes the scene in the rain from ''Yesterday's Lie,'' and even more if Luz goes through the trouble of explaining bisexuality.
* [[http://static.wikia.nocookie.net/the-owl-house/images/9/95/Yesterday%27s_Lie_-_277.png/revision/latest?cb=20211116035559 Check the fridge.]] Luz may already be out.
* This theory is [[spoiler:jossed. Luz deliberately told her mom that she is Bi and in a relationship with Amity.]]

[[WMG: The remaining essence of Philip will meet Jacob Hopkins, and the two will form a BigBadDuumvirate on the Human Realm side of the story.]]
...until it ends when Jacob starts realizing that Philip is batshit insane even by ''his'' [[EveryoneHasStandards standards]].
* It could serve as a catalyst for Jacob's HeelFaceTurn.
** {{Jossed}}: Belos didn't interact with Jacob at all.

[[WMG: Alternatively, Jacob Hopkins' batshit crazy theories would be too much for Belos]]
Philip is insane but at least he actually studied world of the Boiling Isles to such a degree he is a master witch. Jacob, on the other hand, just has a bunch of baseless conspiracy theories that even Philip couldn't figure out how he came to those conclusions. Additionally, Philip will find Jacob to be TooDumbToFool for his goals and ends up becoming a target of Jacob's obsession to prove that witches and demons are real.
* {{Jossed}}: Belos didn't interact with Jacob at all.

[[WMG: Jacob has Caleb’s journal and Luz and her friends will use it to make a new portal.]]
To continue to be a foil for Luz as well as a parallel to Belos, Jacob will reveal that he found Caleb’s journal and that’s how he knew where the portal opens up to. The reason Flapjack isn’t in the newspaper is because similar to Belos, He sees Flapjack as a reminder of Caleb’s betrayal.
* {{Jossed}}: There was no journal.

[[WMG:Belos will be permanently stuck in his monstrous form in the human world.]]
And for LaserGuidedKarma, his monstrous appearance will spark fear and hysteria amongst the human populace that will ironically lead to a witch hunting mob determine to find and kill Belos. It would be his greatest nightmare come true, and the cold reality crashing down on his delusions will reduce Belos to a scared child begging for his brother to save him.
* {{Jossed}}: He wasn't discovered by the humans, and was able to find a way back to the Demon Realm.

[[WMG: The Collector will be defeated and redeemed by being sent to the Human Realm.]]
As demonstrated in "Yesterday's Lies," magical creatures and witches cannot use magic in the Human Realm unless siphoned from inanimate objects with magical residue. The Collector would be no different--regardless of their godlike power, that amount times zero is still zero. The Collector would functionally be no different than a person roughly Luz's age when in the Human Realm (and may even age like a human). However, the Collector being BroughtDownToNormal will allow them to learn a human perspective on life and, starting with Luz (who would wind up back in the Human Realm for various reasons) due to her kind and forgiving nature, ultimately gain the genuine friends they had been desiring for centuries.
* However,as shown by the season one finale, Lilith was able to use magic in the Human Realm. The need to absorb magic from inanimate objects is something that only applies to Vee.
** {{Jossed}}: Witches generate their own magic.

[[WMG:Belos will become the biggest laughing stock of all mankind]]
Instead of being worshiped as a hero for his near-genocide of the Boiling Isles or hated for how he nearly murdered billions, no one will believe Belos's claims in the slightest and he'll be thrown into a mental hospital no matter how much he tries to get someone, anyone, to believe him. A [[CrossesTheLineTwice grimly hilarious]], [[AntiClimaxBoss anticlimatic]], and [[HumiliationConga especially pathetic]] end to one of the vilest villains ever put out by Disney. Because come on, [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome would anyone in the real world ever believe some crazy old man who claims to have been kidnapped by witches during the 1600s and spent centuries trying to commit magical genocide]]?
* {{Jossed}}: Belos tried and succeeded to stay under the radar in the Human Realm.

[[WMG:"Thanks to Them" will have a TitleDrop]]
It will be of Belos (whatever form he takes) revealing Luz and Hunter's respective secrets before their friends, mockingly telling them all his machinations (nearly) came true "[[IronicEcho thanks to them]]". Despite his hopes this will turn their friends against them, [[EvilCannotComprehendGood something else]] happens. Instead, Willow, Amity and Gus each bring up the things that happened because of Luz and Hunter (Amity breaking free from her mother and finding love because of Luz, Gus overcoming his anxiety because of Hunter). And to cap it off, they let the two know their lives are better for it "[[MeaningfulEcho thanks to them]]".
* Alternatively, "them" is a reference to the Wittebane brothers. Luz will continue to feel guilty for helping Philip and will question if both aren´t so different, since they are both human and was interested in the magic of glyphs. Her friends will try to dissuade her, since Philip was evil, while she was not. The group will discover the full history of the brothers and Luz will realize that she is more similar to Philip's brother, Caleb; both even found love on the Boiling Isles. The group will come to the conclusion that both the good and the bad that got them to where they are now was "thanks to the brothers".
** {{Jossed}}: There was no TitleDrop

[[WMG: The twins originated the Mittens nickname.]]
They were only two years old when Amity was born, the nickname could've come from them not being quite able to say Amity correctly as toddlers. They seem to consider it an AffectionateNickname [[spoiler: and it would make Odalia using it whilst mentally abusing and manipulating Amity even worse.]]
* Jossed. In Kings Tide, it’s revealed that Alador was the one who came up with the nickname.

[[WMG: Luz's Palisman will be Hooty]]
At some point, Hooty will die and the only way to resurrect him involves sacrificing Owlbert and carving the palistorm wood Eda gave her.
* {{Jossed}}: Luz' palisman, [[spoiler:who hatched from the egg she carved]], is [[spoiler:Stringbean, a shapeshifting snake]].

[[WMG: The Day of Unity is an actual celebration on the Isles, and not a codename for the upcoming huge event.]]
Raine brings up the name twice, but neither Eda nor the bats ever question what they mean by it. That made me think that the DOU is more a common knowledge than we thought, probably the anniversary of the covens' founding. Perhaps the coven medals magic are stronger on that they, that could be the reason Belos plans to do the merging spell then.
* Worth noting that their freak-out that made them run off-stage seemed to come from repeatedly flubbing the name of the event, not from any possible [[SayingTooMuch info dropped that the public shouldn't know]].
** {{Jossed}}: It's something Belos made up to [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution kill all magicals of the Boiling Isles]]]].

[[WMG: Emperor Belos is half-human.]]
We learned in "Keeping Up A-fear-ances" that there was another human in the Boiling Isles before Luz. It's possible he could have fallen in love with a native and had a child.
We also learned that human and witch biology are very different, since Eda mentioned that Luz couldn't eat a lot of Boiling Isles food. Maybe Belos' condition is a result of being a hybrid.
* Actually, this makes a lot of sense: witches and humans are pretty different, but donkeys and horses are also quite different but can still breed mules! However, mules are sterile, so it's possible that Belos being a hybrid could leave him with other potential defects like a lack of natural magic (explaining why he needs his tech-staff to "cast magic": he also probably didn't have the patience or a teacher to learn glyph magic), a shorter lifespan and/or a weak constitution (explaining his need to drain Palisman life to extend his own). And considering how unknown and strange humans are seen as, a hybrid would probably freak the hell out of EVERYONE (the implications ALONE), requiring Belos to be kept secret, which would explain how he came out of nowhere fifty years ago! It's even possible that (assuming Philip went back to the human world without Belos or his mother) his plan for the Day of Unity is just a ''deeply'' misguided attempt to see his father again (which would make him a GREAT Foil for Luz)!
** {{Jossed}}: He's a [[spoiler: 100% human witch hunter off to [[FinalSolution kill all Boiling Islands magicals]]]].

[[WMG: Either Belos got a bile sac, or Belos' staff has glyphs stored in it.]]
If the theory that Belos is human is true, then he would have to have acquired an ability to use magic somehow. Humans are not born with an innate ability to use magic, so the question is, how did he get magic? This troper can think of three possibilities: he grafted a bile sac from another witch (which may be pushing it as this is a Disney show), he grew one by eating palismans, which created a deformed bile sac and deformed his body in turn, or he channels magic with glyphs like Luz. He stores these glyphs in his staff to channel all his magic. And due to its compressibility, he can hide it under his cloak and make it appear as though he's casting spells without circles.
* {{Jossed}}: His magic comes from [[spoiler:glpyhs on his arm]] and the [[spoiler:palismen]] souls he consumed.

[[WMG: Belos is a {{Cyborg}}.]]
In addition to using some form of {{Magitek}} with his staff and petrification machine, Belos has incorporated machinery directly into his own body, either as way to enhance his magic, extend his lifespan, or both. Learning about this will allow Luz to figure out a way to exploit it to her advantage.
* {{Jossed}}: He has [[spoiler:glyphs on his arm and consumed fuckloads of palismen]]-

[[WMG: Belos isn't a Witch nor a human, but he comes from a completely different realm]]
Let's take a look at his aesthetic, shall we? He is very religious, likes everything to be in order and perfect, some parts of his castle resemble churches (like that big colorful glass window of him and the titan's hand) the place where he "battles" Luz has giant winged humanoids that are unlike anything we've seen before in the Boiling Isles, he and his Coven wears white and gold clothes AND at the beginning of King's introduction in that unauthorized book, he's shown to have a picture of him with wings (wings are a theme in his Coven) and another picture has his head surrounded by a ring with eyes. You know, wings+rings with eyes= Ophanim Angels. All this info makes him not from the underground, but from an Overworld, an ANGEL realm. So what if Belos is an "angel" being that was cast out from the Angel Realm (that would take some elements from Christianity and other afterlives), fell in the Boiling Isles, and he plans to use the Human World as a way to get back there? He could be an interesting case of OurAngelsAreDifferent.
* Adding onto this, he also appears to have technological advances and knowledge unique to the Isles, both his MagicStaff and especially that portal just throw in ScienceFiction to the show's {{Fantasy}}/HorrorComedy theme. Not only would Belos be a case of OurAngelsAreDifferent, it could also be that angels are a HigherTechSpecies within the series, bringing a MagicVersusScience theme to the table.
** {{Jossed}}: He's indeed [[spoiler:human, and came from the same town Luz and her mother lived in when it was still part of a British colony]].

[[WMG: Belos created the owl curse.]]
When Lilith uses the curse scroll it glows red, just like the red glow around Belos when he casts spells. The fact that it was labeled to only last a day when it is actually permanent suggests that he might have planted it at the black market to incapacitate Eda and prevent her from opposing him as a wild witch.
* {{Jossed}} as of "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", it was [[spoiler:a Collector (likely someone other than the one Belos was working with) who created the curse]].

[[WMG: Demons are cursed witches who lost their magic and transformed permanently but managed to keep their sentience.]]
Eda probably wasn't the only case.
* [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], they evolved from the corpse of the Boiling Isles Titan.

[[WMG: Lilith had previously tried to steal the Healing Hat like Luz did.]]
When she first joined the Emperor's Coven, Lilith attempted to steal the Hat so that she could cure Eda's curse, but was interupted by Emperor Belos himself who informed her that it wouldn't work. Instead of punishing her, Belos made his offer to undo the curse if she brought Eda to him, which Lilith readily accepted.
* {{Jossed}}: He first lured Lilith with the perspective of a cure, only to go back on his word when Lilith delivered Eda into his hands.

[[WMG: Luz will find and [[DoesntLikeGuns discard]] a gun in "Young Blood, Old Souls", in a jab to the "Give Luz a Gun" meme]]
Highly unlikely, that meme seems fairly recent and the episode was probably completed months ago, however, there is nothing preventing it from happening in Season 2.
* {{Jossed}}: It didn't happen, [[OhMyGods thank Titan]].

[[WMG: The identity and role of the Bard Girl in "Wing It Like Witches" is a major catalyst for the current events of the show]]
Out of every photo we've seen of young Eda, this is the first and so far only time we see her close with anyone other than her sister. Judging by their locked arms, smiling to the camera, and sharing the same treats (with Lilith in the background also eating said treat), it seems the two were at least very good friends. Strangely enough, neither Eda or Lilith have ever brought up this mysterious girl at any point prior to this writing (right after Agony of a Witch), and her face is obscured by a ticket, which is a common tactic in narrative for foreshadowing a character whose identity is important to the story for a later twist. The only thing we can make of her identity is she's female, she was in the bard track at Hexside, her skin tone is fairly darker compared to Eda's, she wears glasses and long earrings, and either has short hair or has it tied up in a ponytail or bun that's obscured by the ticket. What we ''can'' make out of her hair is it seems to be a fairly light shade, though the color is difficult to tell because of the shadow of the ticket. This troper is willing to bet this Bard Girl might've had an important impact on Eda's childhood, so much so that something happened to her that influenced Eda's change of mind from wanting to join the Emperor's Coven as Lilith pointed out in "Once Upon a Swap".
* Jossed; Eda willingly chose not to join as she knew Lilith wanted to more than her and there was only one spot. Her ostracization after she became the owl beast didn't help matters either.
** DOUBLE Jossed; Despite how much the original troper insists, Raine is very much not a girl.

[[WMG: Eda will be entirely absent the next season, save for flashbacks]]
It is unlikely that Luz will be able to save Eda from her curse. Even if she could gather her friends and other allies, they don't have a snowball's chance of defeating an entire coven. And it is doubtful that the emperor will actually give Eda the cure. Unless Eda submits to him, which she refuses to do.

The next season will feature Luz looking around the Boiling Isles trying to find a cure for Eda, growing as a spellcaster, and studying magic. All the while fighting the Emperor, his goons, and Lilith.

* {{Jossed}}: She has returned to normal thanks to Lilith.

[[WMG: Boscha will work for the emperor]]
It is clear that Boscha is worse than the usual bully. I can imagine her working for the Emperor because of an apparent love of causing others pain.
* Eh, I wouldn't count on it. Mainly because it sounds like the exact same story beat with [[WesternAnimation/{{Amphibia}} Sasha]].
** A Sasha-esque story beat would be the BigBadFriend route. Boscha's betrayal would have no emotional weight, seeing that she's already a HateSink.
*** {{Jossed}}: There is no indication, that she had anything to do with the emperor.

[[WMG: The Emperor is a host-hopping spirit.]]
The Emperor is actually the Titan himself, the slain beast having possessed the body that became the Emperor. He is suffering from PossessionBurnout - keeping his current host alive by feeding on palisman magic - and wants Eda because she would be the perfect host to move into.
* Jossed, Belos was never a Titan, much less The Titan. He was still Philip long after the Titan fell.

[[WMG: Emperor Belos incapacitated the Titan]]
The Boiling Isles have giant bones everywhere, and Belos has a giant heart in his throne room. However, the heart is shown to still be beating. Belos destroyed the Titan's body and claimed he was chosen by him, but needs him alive, possibly because he gets his power from him.
* {{Jossed}}: When Belos/[[spoiler:Philip]] arrived, the Titan was [[spoiler:already deader than a doornail since countless millennia]].
** Well, the titan is [[spoiler:not entirely dead, at least not before the finale]].

[[WMG: Luz will cash in on the Bat Queen's favor to save Eda from the events in "Agony Of A Witch."]]
* Jossed.

[[WMG: At least one of the other characters will be cursed in the next season]]
The most likely candidates are Luz and Amity. Their relationship could come into jeopardy either by Lilith or Amity's parents, maybe all of the above. Assuming her leg will have healed by the season finale, Amity will join Luz in rescuing Eda. Lilith will come between them, only to be betrayed by her own apprentice. In the next season, however, the Blights will discover their daughter has befriended a human and no doubt be distraught about it. Now that Amity has the confidence to talk back to them, they will stoop down to cursing her or Luz as the only viable option to keep them apart.
* [[spoiler:Lilith]] now also suffers from the curse, but not because [[spoiler:she was]] cursed, but because [[spoiler:she took half of the curse voluntarily as penance]].

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is the Titan.]]
He would either be the titan's {{Reincarnation}} or is [[FromASingleCell a small surviving piece of the titan]] that's trying to fully recover from what ever "killed" him the first time. In order to recover he needs magic; which he gets from the covens and eating palismans. This would explain why he's with a giant heart; since it's actually his the titan, and how [[HoldingBothSidesOfTheConversation he can speak to the titan]].
* Jossed, Philip came to the Isles long after the Titan fell.

[[WMG: There will be an episode where Amity’s parents discover her sexuality and crush towards Luz and attempt to “fix” her]]
The episode will drop an important anvil about the horrors of [[CureYourGays Conversion therapy]] and make it clear that homosexuality isn’t a flaw to be “fixed”.
* But rather than outright making it about her sexuality, it will be subtle. Amity's parents will be cross with her for being in love with a human, which could also be an allegory for racism, another important anvil to be dropped.
** {{Jossed}}: There's no homophobia on the Boiling Isles, and Odalia is more concerned about Luz' face being on wanted poster than her being human (although one could argue, that it also played at least some kinda role).

[[WMG: Emperor Belos is somehow connected to King]]
His mask resembles a more simplistic, stylized version of King’s helmet/face. Belos might have a connection to his past, either as a demon king or whatever else his past actually was.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: Emperor Belos is planning a full-scale invasion on Earth.]]
In YBOS, he actually denies this, though it's possible he was lying, or more of speaking something true FromACertainPointOfView
* [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], he wants to [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution kill all witches and demons of the Boiling Isles instead]], since he's Philip Wittebane, the witch hunter]].

[[WMG:Emperor Boles is Eda and Lilith's father]]
* Would explain why he and Lilith are so hell-bent on having Eda joining his coven despite her insurrection. In "[[Recap/TheOwlHouseS1E11SenseAndInsensitivity Sense and Insensitivity]]". Eda turns down the offer to join in hopes of being cured of her curse, saying she doesn't want to owe him anything. Its a tone that seems more a personal reason behind it than simple being anti-authoritative.
** [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], Eda and Lilith's father is Dell.

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is in love with Eda]]
Related to the above, Belos is attracted to the fact that [[ILoveYouBecauseICantControlYou he cannot control Eda Clawthorne]], much in the same way as Warden Wrath. The abomination incident was the initial spark, and her continued rebellion and obvious power have fanned the flames over the years. Belos wants Eda as part of the Emperor's Coven to have her close to him and under his thrall.
* Conversely, Belos was responsible for the curse on Eda, whether personally or having hired someone else to curse her. He did so as a way to put pressure on her and to provide leverage against her with an offer to break the curse.
* If Eda is ever captured, Belos will reveal himself as the thief from their school days and make her an offer. In addition to removing her curse, she can be appointed head of the Emperor's Coven, whether by herself or alongside Lilith, with her power in the Boiling Isles second only to his own.
** {{Jossed}}: The only thing Belos would love about Eda is her being dead, together with [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution all other witches and demons]]]].

[[WMG:Emperor Belos was [[spoiler: Bat Queen's original owner]]]]
Tying in to the above theory that Belos is immortal.
* [[{{Jossed}} Wrong]].

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is a FallenAngel]]
It would be appropriate for a SatanicArchetype, and it would explain how he's able to do magic without drawing circles. Not to mention how well the idea fits with his aesthetic and characterization.
* {{Jossed}}: This mofo is 100% human.

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is [[ImmortalityImmorality Immortal]]]]
Every couple of decades, he changes his name. The reason he's TheGhost is because he doesn't want his subjects to notice the same ruler has been running the Boiling Isles for centuries, if not millennia, and try to learn his secret of immortality.
* {{Jossed}}.

[[WMG:Emperor Belos is actually a WellIntentionedExtremist]]
His draconian laws and obsession with conformity the result of Belos doing his best to [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans ensue some degree of order]] in a world where you can easily bump into a [[DeathWorld flesh eating monsters]] and where any random person can become a RealityWarper. The show will acknowledge that while his methods might go to far [[JerkassHasAPoint they aren't totally without merit]].
* {{Jossed}}: His intentions are as far removed from good as possible, he wants to [[spoiler:[[FinalSolution kill all magicals]]]].

[[WMG:The person who cursed Eda will attempt to curse Luz.]]
But the spell won't work correctly due to Luz being a human.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:Similar to the legend of [[Myth/GreekMythology Athena]] and [[Myth/GreekMythology Medusa]], Eda was cursed by another witch who was jealous of her beauty.]]
We're supposed to meet her sister at some point, so it may have even been her, as they [[SiblingRivalry don't seem to get along]].
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:Eda is a lich, or some other undead creature.]]
We know she isn't human, but after meeting the Hexside students, she's still pretty weird. Her fangs, incredibly pale skin and ability to reattach severed limbs points towards undeath. Perhaps she's a victim of the Salem Witch Trials or some European witch hysteria. After being executed for witchcraft, real or alleged, she returned either a vampire or zombie.
* "Adventures in the Elements" implies she has a garlic allergy, but since it's mild, she may only be ''half'' vampire.
** [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], she's an ordinary, albeit cursed, Boiling Islands witch.

[[WMG:Eda escaped from the Salem Witch Trials or Spanish Inquisition.]]
She knows how to evade the authorities, and we don't how old she is.
* Luz' ancestors helped her escape.
** [[{{Jossed}} No way]], she's not old enoug for that.

[[WMG: Luz' life goal will be to help humanity overcome its fear of magic and be a diplomat for the Boiling Isles.]]
And that motivation will empower her palisman.
* [[{{Jossed}} Actually]], she empowered the palisman with the wish to be understood.

[[WMG: [[spoiler: Raine pretending to be brainwashed will have dire consequences]]]]
[[spoiler: While Raine is only trying to protect Eda, them pretending to have lost their memories will only make Eda all the more determined and desperate to "save" them. And in her zeal to do so, Eda will [[SpannerInTheWorks inadvertently ruin]] whatever plan Raine and their allies have for stopping the Day of Unity. In the end, it would've been better if Raine had just [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot told Eda what they were doing.]]]]
* [[spoiler:To avoid that, Darius or another member of the anti-Belos conspiracy will engineer a leak of Raine's brainwashing being a ruse to Eda.]]
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:The Coven Heads will be [[DevourTheDragon absorbed]] by Belos for the Day of Unity]]
As part of his plan he'll summon them then perform a ritual that unknowgingly to them will make them get absorbed by him to power himself up.
* This probably won't involve him physically absorbing them, but rather he'll drain them of their magic using techniques he learned from studying the basilisks.
** [[spoiler:Possibly confirmed in "Them's the Breaks, Kid", [[https://imgur.com/a/BiaUgvR where a small abomination (likely from Darius) relayed intelligence about the Day of Unity involving a draining spell to Raine Whispers]].]]
*** {{Jossed}}: He just used them as conduits for his draining spell.

[[WMG: Belos curse/magical illness was worsened by the Collector]]
Philip Wittebane tried to scam the Collector, as well, using them as a sacrifice, but they not only survived, they took revenge on Wittebane, making his curse/magical illness caused by the glyphs on his right arm into something similar to that of Eda and Lilith's curse.
* {{Jossed}}: It was 100% self-inflicted (it was caused by Philip's [[spoiler:consumption of palismen essence; The souls of these poor creatures lived on inside of him, fighting against their murderer, and caused these outbursts]]).

[[WMG: Philip betrayed his brother.]]
Philip convinced his brother to help him get an ingredient for the portal (possibly the Titan's Blood from Eclipse Lake) and his brother agreed, recognizing that Philip was unhappy on the Isles. But during the expedition, Philip betrayed his brother and left him to die, enraged that he had embraced wild magic. For years afterward, Philip would insist that wild magic had "taken" his brother.
* {{Jossed}}: Philip didn't just [[spoiler:left Caleb to die, he murdered his brother with his own hands]]!

[[WMG: The Coven Captin is actually "The Collector" in diguise]]
Since they share the same voice actor it wouldn't be that shocking to find out that the Captain is the same-
person who, had a big hand in creating Eda's curse via getting the Owl beast dunked into the sea, transmagrafing it into a hex. The Collector will reveal themselves,as their plan is not only to snatch Eda (who can turn into a harpy & losing the Owl creature may have been a sorespot for them) but also will try to collect Luz. Since humans are very, very, very rare on the Boling Isles,a real human would definitly make a worthy prize. They secretly snuck in nd rose through the ranks in order to collect oddities that woul go unnoticed by the residents of the Boiling isles, plus hidding among the coven would provide decent cover and a few perks here and there.
* Very unlikely, seeing that they're [[spoiler:[[SealedEvilInACan sealed under the titan somehow]]]].
** {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: Kikimora will betray Belos and become the main antagonist.]]
* While it would be a crazy idea since Kikimora displays nothing but absolute love and devotion towards Belos, really think about it: while she would be a faithful servant, it would at least have its limits. Outside of Belos' will, Kikimora had attempted to murder Hunter at least once, and personally traps Raine in an AndIMustScream fate. She had definitely boosted her threat level from season 1. However, even though she is the assistant of Belos, that is nowhere close to being as intimate with Belos as Hunter is. Seeing that, it would make sense that Kikimora would try to revolt out of a twisted variation of "IfICantHaveYou."
* Alternatively, she could actually be motivated by power and usurping Belos would ensure she was undettered from her mission.
** {{Jossed}}: She betrays him, but is only a minor antagonist.

[[WMG: The Collector sent the cursed scroll with the Owl Beast to the Boiling Islands on purpose]]
* The purpose was to sow instability on the Boiling Islands to make it ready for an invasion from the other titan corpse island, as its ruler pursues an expansionist agenda.
* The curse Belos suffers from was caused by an agent from the other island, too.
** {{Jossed}}: The Collector had their own agenda, and Belos' curse was self-inflicted.

[[WMG: The Collector is a future version of Luz]]
And she's either following a StableTimeLoop or trying to SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong. And she acts the way she does because something went ''very'' wrong and she suffered some major SanitySlippage.
* She'll start appearing more often, working against the Emperor while at the same time trying to encourage Luz to keep working against him, going as far as pushing Luz to not keep her promise to her mother.
* She was able to travel through time because she figured out how to use the portal door to move through time.
** She manipulates Belos into following a ritual that would be the opposite of the one "Father" from [[Manga/FullmetalAlchemist FMA]] [[spoiler:tricked Van Hohenheim and the Xerxes bigwigs into: Not everyone except him would die, but no-one except him would]].
* The DramaticIrony is that Luz would become an insanely powerful witch, only to reach the point that she's too crazy to care about being one anymore.
** {{Jossed}}: They're a member of a whole race of insanely powerful beings, and hhave nothing to do with humans.

[[WMG:Belos is physically incapable of passing through the portal door.]]
That black goop that periodically comes out of him looks very similar to what was at the edges of Luz's collapsing portal door, so it's probably some sort of membrane that keeps the two realms separated. Assuming that Belos is actually Philip, he probably got some of the stuff on him while making the prototype doors and then found he couldn't walk through the finished one (which would explain why he was never seen in the human realm again and presumably abandoned it for Eda to find centuries later). This is why he's trying to merge the two worlds together, because simply using the door the old fashioned way wouldn't work.
* {{Jossed}}: He did so back and forth.

[[WMG: The Collector was the witch that made a deal with the two brothers.]]
Makes sense; she appears to be obsessed with collecting exquisite creatures, so why not seize the opportunity to "collect" the two brothers?
* {{Jossed}}: It was almost certainly Evelyn.

[[WMG: The Basilisks were created to try and cure Belos.]]
It is implied that Belos is suffering from a curse not unlike Eda's. He devolves into OminousObsidianOoze and has to feed on bile from a Palisman in order to treat it, and it is implied that it is the result of WildMagic. In "Yesterday's Lie", Vee claims that she and the other Basilisks were brought back from extinction in order to study their MagicEater capabilities.

It is likely that -- either with Beast Keeping Magic or some type of {{Magitek}} evocative of Belos himself -- he brought back the basilisks from fossils with the intent of using them to suck out his curse like a leech applied to an infection without rendering him completely magic-less.
* Possibly confirmed since its stated Belos brought them back from extinction for the purpose of studying how they drain magic
* Seeing the revelations in "Them's the Breaks, Kid" and "Hollow Mind", that's {{jossed}}.

[[WMG: The Day Of Unity Will Solve Luz's Dilemma]]
Currently, the day of Unity is implied to be apocalyptic given that Raine started a resistance to prevent it from happening. Belos explains to the Coven Leaders that it will merge the Boiling Isles and Earth, and eliminate wild magic once and for all. The Owl House residents realize they won't be able to stop the Day of Unity after spending so long failing to stop Belos from collecting the ingredients, but can make it go in the opposite direction, directly increasing the wild magic instead and allowing normal humans to have access. While it could be a DebateAndSwitch with Luz's ConflictingLoyalty towards her mother and her dream of being a witch, it also could be very emotional if Camila sees Amity and Luz working to TakeAThirdOption and stop the apocalypse, and there is a ChekhovsArmory in place.
* {{Jossed}}: The Day of Unity had a wholly different goal, and was prevented through different means, as well.

[[WMG: Learning that he's [[spoiler: a Grimwalker will be the catalyst for Hunter's HeelFaceTurn.]] ]]

Hunter has no idea [[spoiler: he's a Grimwalker]], and was being truthful (to the best of his knowledge) when he told Luz about his past, i.e., that Belos took him in when he was a baby and and saved him from a miserable life as a powerless witch. The reveal to the audience that he's [[spoiler: a grimwalker]] is obvious, not because it's meant to be a red herring, but rather to make sure the audience is aware that Hunter probably [[spoiler: is one so that the reveal to him and the other characters won't come out of absolute nowhere. The twist isn't his ArtificialHuman status, but the fact that he's in the dark about it.]] Luz (or possible another member of her party) will stumble upon this information and reveal it to Hunter, along with Belos' intent [[spoiler: to use him as a sacrifice during the Day of Unity. He will be in denial at first, but after realizing he's been lied to his entire life about what he is and where he came from, he will end up defecting from the Emperor's Coven.]]
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:Hunter found out himself, and defected because, among other things, Belos lied to him about his "family" and regarded him as wholly disposable and nothing but a tool.]]

[[WMG: Hunter's decent from Philip Wittebane is ''why'' Lil Rascal chose him.]]
The cardinal palisman, dubbed "Lil Rascal" by Luz, was crafted by Philip Wittebane as his own palisman during his time on the Boiling Isles. He was "abandoned" by Philip when he returned to the human realm because Philip feared no magic would lead to the cardinal's death. But LR sensed Hunter's connection to his creator and chose him as his new witch partly for that reason - he sensed Philip's successor.
* {{Jossed}}: [[spoiler:Flapjack didn't belong to Philip, and actually, Philip offed that poor birdie's likely first master/creator, Caleb]].

[[WMG: Belos will succeed in reviving the titan and the first thing the titan will do is...]]
...kill Belos for what he did to his children (i.e. the inhabitants of the Boiling Islands and their Palismen.
* {{Jossed}} in the sense that [[spoiler:reviving the titan was never his goal to begin with, but one could speculate, that the titan will stop Belos from his almost dead state to save his "children"]].
** {{Jossed}}: The titan doesn't seem to be in the state to help anyone.
*** He did help Luz, but in a different way.

[[WMG: Hunter is a throwback to the time before witches developed bile sacs.]]
Hunter and his family are an evolutionary throwback: They lack bile sacs just like the witches of older times. This trait will somehow turn out to be important to Belos' plans.
* {{Jossed}} in the sense that [[spoiler:Hunter is not a powerless witch, but an artificially created being based on a grimwalker, but one could argue, that the grimwalkers have been such an evolutionary throwback.]]

[[WMG:Belos did some experimenting with wild magic, and it backfired ''badly''.]]
If Belos, like Hunter, doesn't have any inherent powers, it begs the question, how could he cast spells without his staff? Perhaps he was messing with wild magic in an attempt to get around this handicap, and it worked, but at the cost of eating away at his body and slowly killing him if he doesn't consume enough palismans.
* {{Jossed}}: Him consuming palismen isn't the remedy, it was the cause!

[[WMG:Belos has his own version of the Owl Beast curse.]]
As Lilith's beast form proves, it doesn't ''have'' to be an owl. Just as Lilith instead becomes a raven, Belos becomes a horned... ''thing''. Somehow, he's managed to keep it ''sort of'' under control for even longer than Eda had to. (Perhaps something used in her elixirs is particuarly potent in palistrum wood?)
* [[{{Jossed}} Nope]], it's all 100% self-inflicted by him consuming palismen.

[[WMG: Eda’s curse was created by a coven that practices BlackMagic or some kind of illegal magic.]]
Eda’s curse has Dark Magic written all over it. Of all the main covens, none of them involve such magic. Lilith got the curse from the Black Market, and who knows where what they sell comes from. The reason why the curse lasted longer and not a day is because the magic used to create it is unstable, and it’s why Eda’s condition only gets worse over time.
* I don't think that [[spoiler:Collector]] punk is part of any coven, at least none of the [[spoiler:Boiling Isles']] ([[spoiler:they're much, much older than at least the Boiling Isles' coven system]]).
** {{Jossed}}: The Collector is indeed no coven member, [[spoiler:and is possibly also another person than the Collector active now.]]

[[WMG: Amity will be tempted to sabotage Luz's attempts to return home]]
The possiblity of Luz returning to Earth will come at the cost of being a one way trip, so she'll be gone for good. The idea of having to live life without Luz will be ''traumatizing'' to Amity and she'll struggle with the idea of making it so Luz can't return there. She'll try to rationalize it to herself, saying it's for the best especially if Luz reveals that her home life wasn't exactly the greatest before (FriendlessBackground, her mother doing NotQuiteTheRightThing, etc.) Amity may even start leaning a bit into {{Yandere}} territory, saying things like she's the only one that really appreciates Luz and that Earth doesn't deserve her. It could end either way with Amity doing right by her friend or with her having a MomentOfWeakness and destroying or disposing of what Luz needs to return.
* Alternatively, Amity will go to Earth with Luz to escape her mother, who now wants her dead for defying her. Upon arrival, Amity becomes a human and has to adjust to not having her powers, while experiencing what a world where magic is dismissed as fake and science rules the day.
** {{Jossed}}: Neither happened, and Amity [[spoiler:came with her girlfriend to Earth and back.]]

[[WMG: Alador and Odalia are plotting a coup against the Emperor]]
They were planning to overthrow the Emperor with Alador's abominations or at least were until they were taken over. In the final scene of "Escaping Expulsion", Odalia sounds nervous when she replies to the Golden Guard and she and Alador look at each other nervously.
* [[{{Jossed}} Unfortunately not]].

[[WMG: Alador will prove to be a NotSoHarmlessVillain]]

[[WMG: Alador is a BitchInSheepsClothing]]
Going hand-in-hand with the previous WMG, Alador's ditziness is just an [[ObfuscatingStupidity act to keep people from seeing him as a threat]].
* Both of the above was {{jossed}}.

[[WMG: Amity will betray Luz.]]
Reluctantly of course, considering how she feels. Even though she and Luz are now friends and she has a crush on the latter, it does not mean that Amity's going to give up her dream of joining the Emperor's Coven that easily just because Luz is opposed to them. Perhaps the Emperor's Coven leadership (Belos and Kikimora, more prominently the latter) will offer her membership into the Coven on the grounds that she helps them capture Luz (due to potentially being more important to Belos' plans than first thought). Amity will hesitate, but is convinced to do so by a warning of some potentially horrible fate that can befall Luz if she does not help. It will of course, lead to an EtTuBrute moment by Luz and her friends followed by numerous other characters giving her WhatTheHellHero speeches. Amity will try to brush aside any guilt over what she's done, focusing on the fact that she has achieved her life's dream of joining the Emperor's Coven and has made her parents proud and supposedly did it for Luz's good. [[WasItReallyWorthIt But after considering what she gave up to acquire all that,]] she decides that she's lying to herself that she's happy about what she's done, [[HeelRealization realizing that she betrayed someone who stuck by her thick and thin ]][[MyGodWhatHaveIDone for some of the shallowest, most fickle lot on the Boiling Isles,]][[AllForNothing in addition to realizing whatever supposed fate could befall Luz was a lie.]] She responds by helping Luz escape, revealing her crush in the process via BigDamnKiss instead of LoveConfession, due to being too nervous to say in instead of showing it, and lets herself get captured helping Luz escape. Luz, [[ChronicHeroSyndrome being Luz,]] eventually decides to save Amity from a pending execution for treason (with Eda, Gus, Willow, King, Lilith, and possibly a large group of Hexside students of course).
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: There will be an episode where Amity accidentally gets Luz doused with a love potion.]]
Luz steps out of a potions class with a love potion she gets an A on for successfully brewing and meets up with Gus and Willow on her way to her next class, bumping into Amity in the process. The potion then spills onto Luz, who gets all lovey-dovey with Amity, much to her embarrassment, forcing the group to go to Eda and/or Lilith for assistance. Through a complex plot to somehow cure Luz, we get two reveals: that Willow does indeed know about Amity's crush on Luz as do Eda, Lilith, and HOOTY of all people, while King and Gus were never able to pick up the hints, and the reveal that a love potion cannot actually make people fall in love, but rather exacerbates pre-existing positive feelings, implying that Luz has her own feelings for Amity. In addition, in the plot, Amity will actually consider not curing Luz, fearing that curing her will mean she will never feel the same way about her again, but Willow manages to convince her out of it on the basis that Luz is a very open-minded and kind person, that she may actually like Amity back, and that love potions don't produce real love.
* Alternatively, Amity will also be doused by the potion. But because she's already in love, it doesn't really affect her. She simply has trouble dealing with the feeling.
** {{Jossed}}: Amity needs no magi-roofies to be in love with Luz.

[[WMG: Luz will get herself a wanted poster with the highest price tag on the Boiling Isles.]]
At some point, perhaps Belos realizes that Luz is actually more important to his Day of Unity plan than he first thought, and delivers an order to have her captured alive at all costs. Eda and King will be jealous when they find out, and this will lead to a hilarious event involving Luz getting captured by a bunch of bounty hunters who all attack one another to try and claim the bounty on her head at all costs (similar to that one episode from Dragons: Race to the Edge where Hiccup keeps getting kidnapped by people trying to collect his bounty) including the demon hunters, Tibbles, Piniet, Boscha, Mattholomule (who will be the most pathetic of captors), Adeghast [[JokerImmunity (who turns out to be alive and Eda didn't really eat him, but his puppet)]], and some new characters in season two and old characters from season one who were simply in the background. Luz will initially do whatever it takes to escape each captor at first, but then gives up out of annoyance and waits for each captor to be defeated/knocked-out by the next one and for Eda to come save her. Eda will team up with King, Amity, Willow, and Gus, [[MyFriendsAndZoidBerg and Lilith]] to save Luz with the group becoming increasingly annoyed with the lengthening list of captors to interrogate for Luz's location.
* {{Jossed}}: Eda is still the Boiling Islands' most wanted.

[[WMG: Amity will be cursed by either her parent or Boscha]]
Adding and trying in to the other theories relating Amity and her parents and Boscha above, she will get cursed by either of them. Why? Just for KickTheDog. And given the fact they're {{Abusive Parent}}s and Boscha is an AlphaBitch, it wouldn't be too surprising or far-fetched for one of them to do that.
* Alternatively, it's ''Luz'' who gets cursed instead. Not only to show their dominance, but Amity's parents did this to show her they weren't bluffing when they say they'd go after her friends/crush like with Willow.
* And if Boscha's the one who cursed Luz? It's probably a case of RevengeByProxy to get back at Amity for "betraying" her at the grudgby game.
* Amity also could get cursed by them if by getting in the way of the curse magic they fired at to [[TakingTheBullet take the bullet]] meant for Luz in her place instead, preventing her from getting cursed at the cost of herself getting cursed.
** {{Jossed}}: No-one of them gets cursed.

[[WMG:Lilith will become an outcast in Season 2.]]
After her secret past of [[spoiler: cursing her sister]] is found out, I can imagine how angry the Boiling Isles will get at how she almost endangered everyone's lives and put her sister through too much just to join the Emperor's Coven. That would be quite a scandal that the one they see as a hero would forsake family for a dream.
* {{Jossed}}: There's no indication that anyone besides Luz and Eda know about Lilith having cursed Eda.

[[WMG: Eda will perish.]]
One of the final two episodes is titled with her ''name'' and ''requiem'', another word for ''dirge'' or ''death'' march.
* That's one of the final episodes of the first half of season 2, not the season overall.
** Also, the next episode's description mentions Eda, so she's not dying in that one at least.
** Jossed. Eda lives!

[[WMG: King's species did not spawn from the Titans.]]
Unlike all the other demons, King's species actually predates the Titans and--judging by some of the murals seen in "Echoes of the Past"--may have been responsible for killing them all in the first place.
* This theory is supported in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door", which implies that King and his father are unlike every other demon on the Boiling Isles.
** [[spoiler:According to the Titan Trappers from the episode "Edge of the World", King's a Titan.]]

[[WMG: Near the show's end, Edric or Emira will be killed off]]
Leaving their [[AngstySurvivingTwin surviving twin]] and little sister to mourn and/or attempt to revive them.
* {{Jossed}}: Wrong, both live!

[[WMG: When she next gains the opportunity to return to her world, Luz will [[IChooseToStay choose to stay again.]]]]
While she does genuinely love and care about her mother, it's heavily implied that Camila is the *only* person in her own world she really cares about, while she has many more connections in the Boiling Isles. Even if she does care about her mother, she realizes that she's more suited to this other world, and that she needs it and it needs her. She may eventually find a way to visit, but this other world and her FamilyOfChoice will prove to be more important.
* {{Jossed}}: The portal was repaired (or a new one made), so she can travel freely between realms.

[[WMG:By the end of the series, Luz will physically become a witch - bile sac and all]]
Going off of an above theory that the Boiling Isles were originally settled by humans that gradually changed into the modern witch species, Luz's time on the Boiling Isles and constant use of glyph magic will stimulate the creation of her own magical bile sac that allows casting of spell circles. She will have achieved her goal of becoming a witch in every sense.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:King is an actual King Of Demons]]
The pilot is a BaitAndSwitch; King has LaserGuidedAmnesia about who he used to be, perhaps because he was too dangerous when restored to full power. That's why he's no longer a threat. Once he gets his full memory, his powers return. If Eda knows, she's taking care of King to make sure he never has the incentive to regain his memories or his powers, by satisfying him with a paper crown. If she doesn't know, Eda is practicing AndroclesLion inadvertently.
* Echoes of the Past has suggested this is [[spoiler:jossed. But he may be the son of the real King of Demons]]
** {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:Hunter will find the following in these books about [[spoiler:grimwalkers]]]]
* How to unlock a [[spoiler:grimwalker's]] ability to do [[spoiler:magic like a regular witch or bipedal demon]]
* To unlock superpowers not unlike [[spoiler:King's i.e. a titan's]]
* Both of the above
** {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: Emperor Belos will be revealed to have some sort of FreudianExcuse.]]
* {{Jossed}}: According to King's father, Belos had no excuse at all.

[[WMG: Belos will be redeemed in the end.]]
[[RedemptionEqualsDeath He'll atone for his sins with his life]].
* The Collector will become the [[BigBad main villain]] and Belos will [[TakingYouWithMe go down fighting him]].
** {{Jossed}}: He doesn't, and the Collector makes a HeelFaceTurn and actually fights Belos.

[[WMG: Luz will be the first to find out that [[spoiler: Raine is pretending to be brainwashed.]]]]
[[spoiler: Luz will somehow learn about Raine's deception. She'll proceed to [[WhatTheHellHero call them out]] how much they've been making Eda worry and try to convince them to let her help stop the emperor, though Raine will refuse and make Luz promise not to tell Eda.]]
* Although they may allow Luz to tell Eda about it, if Eda should start to make a [[spoiler:rescue attempt so as to avoid this "rescue" derailing the plans of them and their co-conspirators]].
** {{Jossed}}: Raine told them.

[[WMG: In the finale, Alador will turn the Aboma-ton army against Belos.]]
At the moment, Belos controls the Aboma-tons. However, it's very likely that Alador, as their inventor and a powerful abomination witch, could override whatever method Belos uses. And if he sees his creations bearing down on Amity, he just might snap. At the very least, he could neutralize the Emperor's Coven, leaving the heroes to handle Belos personally.
* {{Jossed}}: He used the override during his fight with his wife.

[[WMG: The day of Unity will happen on Halloween, [[spoiler: along with the subsequent merging of worlds]]]]
Never mind the fact that it's allegedly the night when the veil between worlds is the thinnest, it's the one night a year no one would question a bunch of witches and demons running around, conveniently doing away with any need to reveal the Boiling Isles' existence to the general public once everything is resolved.
* This is a good idea, but it can only happen if NarniaTime is in effect. "Reaching Out" takes place on [[https://64.media.tumblr.com/c5cc5f176a14e7cc43c01fe37dbf2e09/4df446f32f75166b-c8/s400x600/d16bd46fdc04c6b721ac04a46c7c92386ccd4cb7.pnj August 22]] and the Day of Unity is less than a month away at that point, so unless time passes faster in the human realm the Day of Unity can't be on Halloween.
** {{Jossed}}: Belos didn't want to merge anything, he just wanted to [[FinalSolution destroy the Boiling Isles]].

[[WMG: Eda will use the transformation potion on herself.]]
During a tough fight with the Emperor's Coven, a desperate Eda will [[GodzillaThreshold consume the transformation potion]] from "Reaching Out" to give herself a power boost, turning herself into a gigantic, more monstrous version of the Owl Beast. Unfortunately for the heroes, she'll quickly go out of control and become a danger to them as well. To get her back to normal, Raine will have to get involved and talk her down (possibly causing Raine's memories to be restored in the process).
* [[spoiler: Amending due to new information from "Them's the Breaks Kid", Eda will be trying to "save" Raine (unaware that they don't need saving), which will go badly. Although Raine will try to convince her to escape, Eda will refuse to abandon them a second time and take the potion. Raine will be [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone horrified]] that their deception drove Eda to such extremes.]]
** {{Jossed}}: She didn't, and Raine told about them about their ruse later.

[[WMG: Camila will be captured by Belos.]]
If Belos does make it back to the human realm before Luz and co, chances are he will realize who Camila is and hold her captive in an attempt to lure out Luz. While being held captive, Belos takes the chance to realize what Luz has done in the Boiling Isles, causing Camila to have a ''massive'' MyGodWhatHaveIDone moment when she realizes that if she makes Luz stay in the human realm, she will be taking her away from all the friends she's made, as well as her girlfriend.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG:Luz will become a half-human half-witch hybrid.]]
Sometime near the end of the season, Luz will gain a sac of magic bile on her heart, becoming the first human witch in history. She will then realize her destiny for the future: to become the guardian of both the human and demon realms.
* {{Jossed}}

[[WMG: TheVoice from the In Between Realm is...]]
Assuming the Voice and/or the In-Between make a return (say, if Luz tries to create another portal), we'll learn its identity. Feel free to include your own guesses.
* The Titan, albeit only able to communicate verbally since glyph magic doesn't work
* The Collector, who became trapped in the In-Between between Eda's flashback and now
* The consciousness of the In-Between itself as a GeniusLoci
* An entirely new character who became trapped there long ago and wanted Luz to stay because it was lonely.
* An entity that ''pretends'' to be the Titan with Belos as its pawn. The Day of Unity is not just a plan to unite the realms, but also to free the entity from the In-Between. It wants Luz to stay because she is becoming a SpannerInTheWorks for its plans.
** {{Jossed}}: All guesses were wrong, it was actually [[spoiler:the spirit of King's father, the Boiling Isles titan]].
*** Except that the voice wanted Luz to stay while [[spoiler:the spirit of the Titan was explicitly aiding Luz in her quest against Belos. She wouldn't be able to do fight him if she stayed.]]

[[WMG: TheVoice that spoke to Luz in the In-Between will communicate with her in Season 2B.]]
in the In-Between, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnLA5l3mGdk a voice can be heard speaking to Luz]], saying it can hear her and telling her to stay. Due to making contact with that world, Luz will hear the voice of whoever it was—the Titan or someone else—and worry she might be going crazy. Or she'll try to communicate with it properly, even if that requires going to the In-Between again.
* {{Jossed}}: The "voice" was actually [[spoiler:the spirit of King's father, the Boiling Isles titan]], and he communicated with Luz in the last episode.
** Except that the voice wanted Luz to stay while [[spoiler:the spirit of the Titan was explicitly aiding Luz in her quest against Belos. She wouldn't be able to do fight him if she stayed.]]

[[WMG: Emperor Belos has been aware of little Rascal since he had entered the castle.]]
* He doesn't consume Rascal because he used to be his brother's palisman and he is still sentimental about it.
* Another reason not to consume it could be so that Hunter would not defect to either Eda or another of of his enemies and would be available for the "Day of Unity".
** {{Jossed}}: He had no idea about him, and went apeshit when he saw him ("[[spoiler:CALEB]]!!!").

[[WMG: Luz and Amity will share a Palisman.]]
Since neither Luz nor Amity was able to get a Palisman, and considering the direction their relationship is going Luz will offer to share her palistrom wood so the two of them can carve one together.
* Alternatively, they both will have palismen, but their palismen will be able to fuse to one palisman combining the powers of both and becoming even stronger than they'd be if they were separate.
** {{Jossed}}: Neither happens.

[[WMG: Jean-Luc's counterparts will be activated by King to battle the Abomiton army.]]
Seems like the Jean-Lucs may simply be kept on standby or deactivated for the moment. Battling an entire army of abomitons will be difficult to manage even for plenty of skilled witches like Amity. The Bad Girl Coven will definitely need plenty of backup. Sure, there is a barrier that prevents them from leaving King's nursery, but it may get deactivated down the line.
* {{Jossed}}: He wasn't.

[[WMG: King will allow Luz to use wild magic on earth]]
Combining the theory King is related to the titan, and the Titan is the source of wild magic, that means King would himself be a source of wild magic she could draw on
* {{Jossed}}: King didn't come to Earth.

[[WMG: There IS magic on earth]]
But as the glyphs are derived from nature, and the nature of the isles and earth are very different it has its own set of glyphs
