[[WMG: Solas will succeed in tearing down the Veil, but will [[GoneHorriblyRight get more than he bargained for]].]]
There's been too much buildup to the possibility of tearing down the Veil, so they almost have to give it real payoff. But in doing so, he will almost certainly release the Evanuris, who there's also been massive buildup to. Then they'll either kill him, or we'll have to join forces, potentially depending on player choice.

[[WMG: Dorian will potentially become the next Archon of Tevinter depending on your choices.]]
We already know that Dorian is most likely going to show up in some form in Dreadwolf due to him going back to Tevinter in Tresspasser, and the promotional material is setting up for that to be the main setting of the game. However, perhaps at some point the current Archon, Radonis, is assassinated or killed somehow, and the player has the ability to choose or influence who the next Archon is. This would fit Dorian’s character as in the previous game he was determined to reform Tevinter, and in Tresspasser he alongside Maevaris have already created a (small) faction called the Lucerni in order to redeem their country. His father also previously hoped Dorian would become the next Archon prior to the scandal surrounding his sexuality, so this would be a very interesting full circle moment with Dorian going from self proclaimed pariah of Tevinter to ruler. Dragon Age has already previously given us the ability to elect/choose who rules over certain nations within Thedas, such as who rules Fereldan in Origins, as well as who rules Orlais and who becomes the next Divine in Inquisition, so a choice like this would make sense.
* Only caveat here is that Dorian becomes a magister in Tresspasser, and magister’s are apparently not able to become Archon. Perhaps it will be possible for Dorian to become the next Black Divine of Tevinter instead?
* Other potential choices would probably be Maevaris herself, and probably a more conservative option (to echo the "Radical-Reformer-Reactionary" trio of Orlais and the Divine).

[[WMG:Varric is toast.]]
He's tired and aged, and in ''ComicBook/DragonAgeTheMissing'' he even notes that he's approaching the [[{{Retirony}} "getting too old for this"]] stage of his life -- which he himself {{lampshade|Hanging}}d back in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII''. He narrates the trailer for ''Dreadwolf'', but if he were a companion he would break three rounds of precedent of companions only returning once, and Dorian Pavus seems a more likely candidate to be ''[[VideoGame/DragonAgeInquisition Inquisition]]'''s carryover companion given the Tevinter setting. Nonetheless, as the narrator, they're clearly bringing him back, so he has to fulfill some role in the story, and that role might just be best served [[SacrificialLion by dying]].
