''[[https://gamebanana.com/mods/46918 Vs Annie]]'' is a ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' GameMod created by Atsuover (who also created ''VideoGame/SmokeEmOutStruggle''), focusing on her OC, Annie. Now, due to this mod being created in the early days of the community, it doesn't actually have its own executable: rather, it is instead images, songs, and data that are meant to replace all the songs in Week 3 as well as "Winter Horrorland". You have to drag these files into a folder with ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]'' (or any custom ''FNF'' engine of your choice thereof) and replace the specific songs yourself.

On May 3rd, 2022, the mod ''Hazy River'' released, which combined ''Vs. Annie'' and ''Smoke 'Em Out Struggle'' and even includes a new variant of her called "Legacy Annie". Tropes regarding Annie's part of the ''Hazy River'' mod will be listed on this page, while Garcello's parts of the mod can be found on ''Smoke 'Em Out Struggle'''s page.

!! ''Vs Annie'' provides examples of:
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: [[spoiler:Legacy Annie turns into a gigantic, deer-like demon after drinking T H E L I Q U I D halfway through "Tone It Down".]]
* BearsAreBadNews: Annie's new drunk form resembles a bear, and she replaces [[spoiler:Monster]] in the legacy version.
* CameraPerspectiveSwitch:
** The camera changes into a third-person over the shoulder view for "Drowning" - interestingly from ''Daddy Dearest'''s perspective, with his back to the camera while Annie is a little into the background.
** The camera changes to a first person view half way into "Tone It Down", to highlight [[spoiler:Legacy Annie's change in size and much more ghastly appearance]].
* DoubleMeaningTitle: "Tone It Down" may refer to Legacy Annie's second form, [[spoiler:which looks ''way'' more wicked and scary than normal Annie's second form]], as it's actually [[WhatCouldHaveBeen what Annie's Liquid form was going to be before the feral bear-like design was used instead]]. It could also be a reference to the very first version of ''Vs. Annie'', as "Tone It Down" is very duet-heavy like the original charts of the main songs.[[invoked]]
* DrunkOnMilk: Annie carries a carbonated drink known as "T H E L I Q U I D", which is stated to not be any sort of alcoholic beverage. Yet her appearance during Week 5 looks like she was drinking just a bit too much alcohol. Averted in ''Hazy River'', as Annie no longer appears to be drunk in her second appearance, as T H E L I Q U I D transforms her into a large, feral bear-like creature.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness:
** The original versions of the songs were more duet-heavy (especially in "Animal"), but they were changed to give Boyfriend his own solo sections due to criticism.
** Annie's design in the original version of the mod places her as Boyfriend's height in Week 3 before becoming her actual height in Week 5, due to her sprites going over Pico. In ''Hazy River'', Annie's Week 3 design is her normal form at normal height, while her form when having consumed T H E L I Q U I D is vastly different.
* EyesOutOfSight: Annie's bangs cover both her eyes in her ''Hazy River'' redesign.
* FormulaBreakingEpisode: "Dilemma" sees the player controlling the left side of the screen, while Garcello (the "opponent") controls the right.
* HostileShowTakeover: Since her last song (initially) replaces "Winter Horrorland", Annie appears for Week 5's final song instead of [[spoiler:Monster]] if the Annie mod was installed, having been grown a bit taller and looking like she's in the middle of a hangover.
* JokeOfTheButt: From the chart editor in ''Hazy River'', it is possible to select variants of Liquid Annie and Boyfriend where they are facing their rear-ends to the camera, twerking to the direction of the notes of the selected song.
* MagicPants:
** While the sleeves of her gloves do get slightly torn, the rest of Annie's outfit doesn't get damaged when in Liquid form.
** Exaggerated for Legacy Annie's Liquid form, where [[spoiler:she turns into a giant]] but her clothes are none worse for wear.
* MoodWhiplash: Each song of the bonus week is wildly different in tone from each other, with "Tone It Down" even having a turn mid-song: "Dilemma" is a funny, chill song that has Garcello and Annie ordering food, "Drowning" is an intense song about Annie fighting Daddy Dearest to get revenge for Garcello, and "Tone It Down" is a regular song where Boyfriend fights Legacy Annie... until she drinks T H E L I Q U I D, after which the song becomes hectic and horrifying.
* MusicalNod:
** The remastered versions of "Lover" has a section where Annie sings in left-right double notes, referencing Boyfriend's beeps during Garcello's coughing fits in "Nerves", and the song also contains a short jingle from "Release" at the end.
** "Drowning" has a few notes of "Dad Battle", the final song in Week 1 of the base game, in the beginning and partway through the song. In said song, Daddy Dearest also sings a portion of "Release", causing Annie to enter her RageBreakingPoint.
* MythologyGag: "Tone It Down" is almost entirely a duet between Boyfriend and Legacy Annie, referencing how duet-heavy the original version of Annie's week was.
* NoodleIncident: There's never really an explanation on why Annie is battling Boyfriend. Not even ''Hazy River'', which included ''Smoke 'Em Out Struggle'' content, had any dialogue or anything that would help explain any of the rap fights in Annie's week.
* OneWingedAngel:
** After her first three songs, the game [[SmashCut instantly cuts]] to her in a blue-skinned, feral, bear-like form, having consumed T H E L I Q U I D in-between "Tug-of-War" and "Take a Swig of This!". She is also seen drinking T H E L I Q U I D and temporarily turning into her feral form partway into "Drowning".
** Half way through "Tone It Down", Legacy Annie drinks T H E L I Q U I D and turns into [[spoiler:a giant gangly demon creature]], with the song going through a tempo increase and Legacy Annie now draining Boyfriend's health with each note she sings.
* PlatonicLifePartners: Her and Garcello. In "Dilemma" from ''Hazy River'''s bonus week, they're seen trying to figure out what they want from a [=McDonald's=] drive-thru together.
* ProductionThrowback: The song "Good Enough" was based on a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kQAYOtr7JM real song by Atsuover]], Annie's creator.
* PromotedToPlayable: Annie is playable in both "Dilemma" and "Drowning" in ''Hazy River''; the former has her and Garcello order at a drive thru, while the latter has her in a heated rap battle with Daddy Dearest following Garcello's death.
* SuperDeformed: The original sprites for Annie were drawn over Pico's, and thus she's his height instead of her usual size. Legacy Annie, while now a bit taller than Boyfriend, is still very short, and has more cartoonish and exaggerated facial expressions than both regular Annie and her original sprites.
* SurprisinglyCreepyMoment: Legacy Annie's design in "Tone It Down" is normal, if a bit uncanny. Then, midway through the song, she proceeds to [[{{Pun}} take a swig]] of T H E L I Q U I D, so you think she'll just assume the same giant blue drunk form like the actual Annie... [[spoiler:''and instead she becomes a [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever giant singing demon]]'', complete with bone cracking noises.]]
* TragicKeepsake: "Drowning", set after Garcello's death, sees Annie wearing Garcello's hat instead of her usual beanie while fighting Daddy Dearest.
