The ''Abigail Fortune'' series is about the adventures of the eponymous Abigail Fortune, a modern-day charismatic thief. It was created by Fusoloid.

The first game of the saga, ''Abigail Fortune and the Scarlet Fairy'' was released in June 2016. A mysterious German valley town, a priceless treasure of great power... and a gentleman thief? Abigail Fortune, gentleman thief extraordinaire, arrives at a small German town called Rotberg, where a treasure like no other awaits her... but what other mysteries in town wait to be solved? As she is joined by a boy called Franz, Abigail must complete her heist and steal the treasure... and beat those who would stand in her way.

[[folder:General]]
* ChainedHeat: Cynthia's favorite weapon? Thrown handcuffs.
* CoolMask: Abigail's main weapons. They're also named after gods.
* DamselOutOfDistress: Abigail has great skills as a thief, fighter, and charisma. She's also capable of rendering an attacker twice her weight unconscious with a single blow and as the bad endings show, she's also skilled with weapons. Any person or security force who takes Abigail hostage and is foolish enough to either leave her unattended, or fall for her feminine wiles, will usually find out just how helpless she isn't.
* FaceStealer: Abigail's main ability. She impersonates a civilian in the prologue comic "Before the Red" and a reporter in The Scarlet Fairy. Nobody knows how Abigail actually looks like. The author showed some sketches in her blog, revealing that Abigail is actually an albino girl dressed in grey.
* FailureIsTheOnlyOption: Unless Abigail wants to be captured, Neil and Cynthia can't bring her in. Even when Abigail herself can't escape, the plot will step in (like in the prequel comic ''Before the Red'').
* FoeRomanceSubtext: The subtext between Abigail and Cynthia comes primarily from Abigail's statements. In ''The Scarlet Fairy'' Franz lampshades how disturbing some of Abigail's comments can get.
* InterpolSpecialAgent: Neil and Cynthia, apparently.
* KarmaHoudini: Abigail always gets away with her thefts in the end.
* MasterOfDisguise: Abigail, full stop.
* SkewedPriorities: Everytime Abigail is about to steal a new treasure, the people are squeeing over how awesome she is. Yes, the same face-changing cunning wanted thief.
* ShoutOut:
** Abigail and her weapon masks are reminiscent of Hata no Kokoro from ''Franchise/TouhouProject''. It's even confirmed by the creators that Kokoro was the basis for Abigail's character.
** Cynthia and her skill of throwing handcuffs like Zenigata from ''Franchise/LupinIII''.

* BatterUp: Franz’s ultimate technique.
-->''Franz takes out his bat....AND IT’S HOME RUUUUUN!''
* BookEnds: [[spoiler: The game starts and ends with Maria telling Abigail about a new treasure to steal.]]
* BroodingBoyGentleGirl: In ''The Scarlet Emperor'' Albert and Monika have this dynamic. Monika is a nice and innocent girl who wants to help her family and serve Albert. While Albert has a brooding and aloof demeanor.
* CameBackWrong: [[spoiler: The Scarlet Fairy very much so. She was once just a human girl with healing powers. But she was unable to heal her own illnesses and eventually died. The Dittmars put her soul into the Scarlet Fairy, but they needed to do blood sacrifices so she could still be around. Said sacrifices corrupted her pure personality.]]
** And the worst part? [[spoiler: The Dittmars transformed her into the fairy because they loved her. They wanted her to be forever supporting the family with her powers. Talk about HoistByHisOwnPetard...]]
* ADayInTheLimelight: The prequel book ''The Scarlet Emperor'' is focused on Albert Dittmar, his backstory and his relationship with Monika.
* DrivenToMadness: What happens to [[spoiler: the wielders of the Scarlet Fairy. Just ask poor Franz in Bad Ending 1.]]
* HappilyAdopted / BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: [[spoiler: The reason of Elze's UndyingLoyalty towards the Dittmar family. Even after she became the Scarlet Fairy.]]
* HeKnowsTooMuch: [[spoiler: Ultimately the reason why Monika and Franz’s father were killed.]]
* ImmortalitySeeker: [[spoiler: Albert Dittmar. To the point he killed many people to be blood sacrifices in order to mantain his eternal life. Even his wife Monika, whom he truly cared about. It's implied all the wielders of the Scarlet Fairy were like this.]]
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler: Abigail, as usual. In the True Ending, Abigail steals the Scarlet Fairy and gets away with it. But it’s probably for the better, since the people of the Rotberg village don’t have to rely in the Fairy anymore and Franz can finally have a normal life.]]
* TheLostLenore: Monika, Albert's wife. [[spoiler: To the point after he accidentally killed her, he used the fairy’s powers to create servant dolls from her corpse.]]
* MacGuffin: The Scarlet Fairy, which is the treasure of the Rotberg village.
* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: [[spoiler: Whether Albert was influenced by the dark effects of the BloodMagic or had simply gone insane from the strain. It's not entirely clear, though the Bad Ending 1 where he dies and Franz becomes the new wielder of the Scarlet Fairy seems to indicate the former a bit more.]]
* MultipleEndings:
** [[DrivenToMadness Bad End 1: The Fairy's Circle]]: [[spoiler: Albert is defeated by Abigail and Franz, but the later is badly hurt during the fight. Entranced by his blood, the Scarlet Fairy enters Franz's body, giving the opportunity for Abigail to kill Albert. Franz becomes the new wielder of the Scarlet Fairy and is driven to madness by its power. Corrupted by the power of the fairy, Franz kills Abigail.]]
** [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere Bad End 2: Retribution]]: [[spoiler: The Scarlet Fairy kills Albert and Franz. Horrified, Abigail escapes the town.]]
** [[ShaggyDogStory Bad End 3 - Unsalvageable]]: [[spoiler: The Scarlet Fairy kills Albert, but Abigail shatters her with a sword. With the Fairy gone and Albert dead, Abigail flees the town with empty hands.]]
** [[AndTheAdventureContinues True Ending]]: [[spoiler: The Scarlet Fairy kills Albert and she fights against Abigail and Franz. The fairy is defeated and is purified, revealed to be a girl named Elze die Heilerin. After telling Abigail and Franz about her backstory and her desire to assist the Dittmars forever, Abigail says that the town is better off without the fairy. Elze willingly gives the Scarlet Fairy to Abigail. In the end Abigail flees the town and successfully escapes the forces of Cynthia and Neil. And Franz might have a normal life from now on.]]
* NoSocialSkills: Franz is meek, antisocial and your typical ShrinkingViolet. [[spoiler: Deconstructed when it's revealed he actually loves his solitude and helps Abigail to steal the Scarlet Fairy because if the fairy is gone, people will stop praising him for being the mayor's grandson.]]
* NotWithThemForTheMoney: In ''The Scarlet Emperor'' Monika, who's in her 20s marries the 50-something [[spoiler: (actually much older thanks to the Scarlet Fairy)]] Albert. At first she's afraid people will believe she's a GoldDigger, since Albert is rich. But then she's reassured she actually loves Albert for who he is. [[spoiler: Then she finds out about the Scarlet Fairy....]]
* PoweredByAForsakenChild: [[spoiler: The Scarlet Fairy.]]
* PrecociousCrush: It’s hinted Franz might have one for Abigail. Too bad there’s IncompatibleOrientation...
* PrettyInMink: Abigail's outfit for this game is a red mink coat.
* ReplacementGoldfish: [[spoiler: The Monika doll army is this for Albert. After he was forced to sacrifice her to the Scarlet Fairy, he used the fairy’s powers to create the dolls from her corpse. It’s even implied he does…things with them from time to time and they’re conditioned to love him. Abigail is disturbed, to say the least.]]
* ShrinkingViolet: Franz. [[spoiler: He's actually an InnefectualLoner.]]
* ShoutOut: The pastry vendor resembles Muffet from ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}''. She even sells Spider Cakes to boot!
* TearsOfJoy: Franz in [[spoiler: the True Ending, before waving Abigail goodbye. Poor boy is aware that he’s never going to see her again.]]
* WhatTheHellHero: In ''The Scarlet Emperor'' when [[spoiler: Monika finds out about the origins of the Scarlet Fairy, she calls out Albert for allowing the blood sacrifices in order to continue living and suggest that Elze must be released from her suffering. Albert refuses, since he sacrificed most of his youth in order to take down his sister (the previous Scarlet Fairy wielder) and doesn't want his sacrifice to be in vain. Just as he's doubting, the Scarlet Fairy actives a defending mechanism and kills Monika.]]

* FrenchJerk: Maria seems to be this.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Abigail and Maria.
