''Wiz 'n' Liz'', aka ''Wiz 'n' Liz: The Frantic Wabbit Wescue'' is a very strange action-platformer created by {{Creator/Psygnosis}} for the {{Platform/Amiga}} and Platform/SegaGenesis in 1993, with the latter version being the more well known one. The game takes place on the planet Pum, a fantastical realm inhabited mainly by the wabbits. One day though a mysterious spell teleports all the world's wabbits away! It is now up to either Wiz the wizard or Liz the witch to go through Pum's 8 bizarre locations to save the wabbits and beat the monsters behind their kidnapping.

In each stage you are on a strict time limit to collect the wabbits located there, each time you save one a floating letter appears that you must then grab. Each letter you collect forms a whimsical magic word you need to complete, once the word is complete you then need to get ALL the wabbits in the level whilst also collecting fruit, stars, and clocks. Stars give you points, clocks give you more time, and fruits can be used in-between stages to create spells in Wiz and Liz's big magic cauldron. The combination of fruits will determine the spell, the effects of each spell vary wildly from giving you more time, unlocking a bonus game, to just changing the colors of the wabbits.

Perhaps what the game is most well known for is it's bosses, which interestingly enough are the ONLY enemies in the game. After beating a set of levels you then challenge one of many huge and incredibly creepy looking monsters whom you steadily destroy piece by piece.

!!''Wiz 'n' Liz'' provides examples of:

* AbandonedMine: Mine Land. The world between levels also, strangely enough, features mine tracks connecting the various magic doors.
* BigBad: [[spoiler: The Deadly Dragon.]]
* [[CallingARabbitASmeerp Calling A Rabbit A Wabbit]]: The game is very insistent that the creatures you are rescuing are wabbits.
* CoolOldGuy: Both Wiz and Liz look very old, but can run extremely fast, jump high, and can take out huge monsters with their magic
* ElmerFuddSyndrome: As the full title suggests, this is all over the place. Other examples include calling red wed, and green gween.
* ExcusePlot: The wabbits have been kidnapped. Go save them!
* EyeScream: Every boss in the game gets it's eyes torn out while you battle it. Even the Savage Pumpkin, which instead has eyes carved on it, gets them visibly damaged.
* FissionMailed: If you make a spell with a potato and cabbage the game kills you... Only to bring you back with a mischievous "Just kidding!".
* FoulFlower: The Freaky Flower. A big brutish daisy and the first boss.
* NameAndName: Named for the two protagonists, Wiz and Liz.
* NightmareFace: Every single boss has one. [[TheManInTheMoon The moon in the background]] also makes one from time to time.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: [[spoiler: The Deadly Dragon is a big green humanoid dragon with a narrow snout that spits blue flames and lives in a graveyard.]]
* OurOgresAreHungrier: The Gatekeeper is a huge flying ogre head who attacks you with his huge stone-like teeth.
* RobeAndWizardHat: Worn by both Wiz and Liz.
* ShoutOut: To other Psygnosis games.
** The spell that results from putting two bananas in the cauldron replaces all the wabbits with [[VideoGame/{{Lemmings}} some very familiar rodents from another Psygnosis franchise.]]
** One of the grave statues in Dead Land is [[VideoGame/{{Puggsy}} poor old Puggsy]]. You can also see a doll of the alien hanging from a rope in one of the bonus games. Hit him enough and you’ll get an extra life.
* SnakesAreSinister: Snake Eyes, a huge [[RedEyesTakeWarning red-eyed cobra,]] certainly is.
* StockPunishment: The victims in the "Splat Those Dudes!" minigame are trapped in wooden stocks.
* SubsystemDamage: The games' bosses, excluding its final boss, all have separate parts you have to fully damage to progress the fight, with the sprites changing to reflect whether they've been damaged enough, and for a majority of the bosses, this includes [[EyeScream eye damage]].
* WhenTreesAttack: The Evil Oak, a huge faced tree who tries to crush you with acorns.
