The whole scene [[RuleOfCool looked cool]], so nobody cares, especially when you consider that having [[ThrowawayGuns more than two guns on hand]] [[CrazyPrepared would be perfectly in character for Tallahassee]].

However, when all the networks the creators went to shot it down, eventually the creators settled on making [[MidDevelopmentMediumShift a movie out of it]]. The "Zombie Kill of the Week" is pretty clearly a holdover from the TV idea. Ironically, when the movie was proven a hit, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were considering in making a TV SpinOff that never came to be after a failed pilot on Amazon Video, in 2013.

17	* SimilarlyNamedWorks: The movie has a nearly identical title to the anime ''Anime/ZombieLandSaga'', another zombie-centric HorrorComedy satire. The similarities end there, though, as the anime is actually a DeconstructiveParody of IdolSinger tropes, featuring a cast of undead girls forming a pop band to turn [[UsefulNotes/TheFortySevenPrefectures Saga Prefecture]] into a commercial venue.

26	** In the DVD extras, it's revealed that Creator/AbigailBreslin liked the zombie makeup so much that she asked the producers if Little Rock could become a zombie at the end. They turned her down.
27	** Creator/JamieBell was originally cast as Columbus but dropped out. Creator/TaylorLautner was considered to replace him, but couldn't.
28	** Creator/MeganFox and Creator/EvanRachelWood turned down the role of Wichita, while Creator/AmberTamblyn auditioned.
29	** Creator/JohnCarpenter turned down a chance to direct. According to Producers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, Carpenter was very interested in directing what was then then to be a TV pilot. However, as the project transitioned into a feature film Carpenter withdrew his interest. Although Carpenter loved the script, according to Reese, his schedule would not permit him to the time necessary to direct a full length film.
30	* WorkingTitle: The film was originally titled ''Another Day in Zombieland'', but the studio feared people would think it would be a sequel.
