* ActingForTwo: Andy Poland is the voice of Guy Towers in Sports and The Ride, Bob in [=HeadRush=], and Old Man in various games.
* AscendedFanon: In Full Stream, certain names of popular Twitch streamers, plus regulars for the Jackbox Twitch streams and Discord chatroom can trigger special messages from Cookie at the start of the game.
* Defictionalization: Only briefly was this a real GameShow. It aired on ABC in 2001. Sadly, it only lasted six episodes. It was even lampshaded in one of the questions of 2011.
* DummiedOut: The first version of the iOS game. Jellyvision announced that this was done to replace it with a completely redone version.
** Some of the lines in The Ride are either really obscure or buried in the data files alive. Such as this one for the announcer:
--->Welcome back to the show!
** Then there's the infamous Fill-In-The-Blank question featuring which was intact in Louder! Faster! Funnier!’s Foolin’ Around episode, but got cut from Mock 2, since the latter was a console release. If you browse around the game's files, though, there are chances that you will see written in all caps.
* FollowTheLeader: Received one in the early 2000's in the form of Code Head, a pair of Edutainment games that played extremely similar to YDKJ; X-Treme Culture, which taught language arts and grammar, and Calculated Risk, which taught mathematics. Both games featured Creator/DeeBradleyBaker as host and featured similar question types from YDKJ.
** Also received a 1998 one called VideoGame/TheDShow, a Disney-themed trivia game that played a lot like [=YDKJ=], with a more kid-friendly version of the series' quirky/snarky sense of humor.
* FranchiseKiller: The Lost Gold, at least until 2006.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The Webshow, which ran on Jellyvision's website from early 2007 to late 2008, is long gone (having been taken down upon the release of 2011). However, all 100 episodes have been archived and are available for download, though certain features (such as leaderboards) understandably don't work.
** In a bit of irony, 2011 (along with all of its DLC) has itself fallen victim to this, having been taken down from all digital distribution platforms due to licensing issues arising after the collapse of publisher Creator/THQ.All other games in the series have been self-published, hence why they haven't suffered from this issue Unless you have one of the very few physical copies, you're flat out of luck.
** Most of the classic CD-ROM games have been rereleased on Steam, but 5th Dementia is missing because its online functionality no longer works.
* TheOtherDarrin: Quizmaster Jack was voiced by Axel Malzacher in Volume 1 in Germany, then in the other four iterations of the German localization he was voiced by Kai Taschner.
* RealLifeRelative: Jellyvision founder Harry Gottlieb voiced Nate Shapiro, the original host. His brother Tom voiced sign-in guy and eventual AscendedExtra Cookie Masterson.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: The TV game show adaptation hosted by Paul Reubens as Troy Stevens.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Before the 2001 ABC version, an attempt had been made in 1996 to bring YDKJ to TV. Not much is known about it, other than Creator/WarnerBros produced it (via subsidiary Telepictures) in UsefulNotes/Chicago for syndication. (This was likely because developer Jellyvision was based there; it's possible that WGN-TV's then-status as an affiliate of Creator/TheWB, with their superstation feed acting as a national WB affiliate. also played a role.). Game show veteran Ron Greenberg (Series/TheBigShowdown, Series/TheChallengers) was also on board (it appeared in a reel of clips from unsold pilots, as part of a celebratory video created for Greenberg's birthday at some point).
