Context Trivia / Visionaries

Go To

* ActingForTwo: Chris Latta voiced both Darkstorm and Cravex. It gets hilarious when the former tells the latter to shut up.
* HeAlsoDid: Kent Butterworth (of ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog'') handled some storyboard work. Sander Schwartz (a major player with Creator/WarnerBros for most of the 2000s) was one of the production executives.
** For the anime fans, Creator/OsamuDezaki, Yoshinori Kanada and Osamu Nabeshima were also involved in the production (as creative consultant and co-animation directors, respectively).
* InternationalCoproduction: As mentioned on the main page (and confirmed [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inEYLrha5mo in the credits]]), ''Visionaries'' was co-produced by two American companies (Creator/{{Hasbro}} and Creator/SunbowEntertainment) and the Japanese studio Creator/TMSEntertainment.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes:
** There's still no Region 1 and 4 DVD release, although there was one for Region 2.
** "The Trail of Three Wizards" never received an official VHS release in the UK, so, until the series was released on DVD, the only way British fans could see that episode was via off-air recordings.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** A fan site has made [[https://drive.google.com/file/d/1454bC_WGsqDijjBPmiBfiMd7mMGYVXN0/view a PDF of the series bible]] available, leading to a few revelations:
*** Leoric and Darkstorm were originally [[SiblingRivalry brothers]].
*** Ectar was originally named Kuneng.
*** Lexor was originally named Rankor.
*** Cravex was originally named Craven.
*** The Lancer Cycle was originally named the Speedor Cycle.
** As [[https://web.archive.org/web/20050317090325/http://mastercollector.com/articles/reviews/review071904.htm this article]] discusses, Creator/{{Hasbro}} planned to add many characters (as well as new vehicles) to the canceled second year of the toy line -- and presumably the cartoon, if it hadn't been canceled as well.
** The cartoon was originally planned to be paired with a series based on another Hasbro toyline, ''Air Raiders'' -- but that show never got on the air because of low pre-orders from retailers and a general over-saturation of toylines and MerchandiseDriven cartoons. (However, a short-lived ComicBookAdaptation was released.)
