* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer: The back of Creator/MangaEntertainment's DVD release calls it the "pulse-pounding sequel to the popular ''Anime/StreetFighterIIV'' series." The two works aren't even in the same continuity, and even if they were, it would be a prequel given the games themselves.
* LateExportForYou: Latin America never saw an official release until 2020, when it was added without any kind of warning to Amazon Prime Video with a brand new dub.
* RoleReprise:
** In the Japanese version, Creator/WataruTakagi and Creator/TomomichiNishimura reprised their roles as Adon and Akuma, respectively.
** Much like with ''Anime/StreetFighterIIV'', the Manga dub of the film uses some of the same cast from ''Anime/StreetFighterIITheAnimatedMovie'', reprising their roles from both. Ryu, Chun-Li, and Vega are the only ones to have the same voices in all three.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Ken and Zangief have different voice actors in comparison to their previous appearances. In ''The Animated Movie'', Ken was voiced by Eddie Frierson, while Zangief was voiced by Michael Sorich. In the Manga dub of ''II V'', Ken was voiced by Creator/StephenApostolina, while Zangief was voiced by the late Kevin Seymour. Here, Ken is voiced by Creator/SteveBlum, while Zangief is voiced by Joe Romersa.
** In ''The Animated Movie'', Gouken was voiced by Michael Forest. In this movie, he is voiced by Simon Prescott.
* YouSoundFamiliar:
** Both Ken's and Zangief's voices were in the other two works as well. Steve Blum voiced T. Hawk in the former and Dhalsim in the latter. Romersa voiced Balrog in both works.
** Tom Wyner had previously provided the voice of M. Bison in both of the previous works.
