These were several of the scrapped scenarios for the original version. The Remastered version promised that some of these cut contents would be included back.

* There were originally going to be nine quests.
** Fuse would have been the eighth playable character, but he was removed due to time constraints. He would have been able to take part in the other characters' quests, with his ultimate goal being hinging on what the player did.
** The ninth would have been the daughter of a family of channelers, engaged in a controversy over who would inherit the property of the former patriarch. It was removed for being too comedic. The protagonist of the quest was later re-modeled into Princess Rei.

* Asellus' quest was also significantly changed. She was supposed to visit Dr. Nusakan's office, the Bio Research lab, Lambda Base (see below) and Furdo's Workshop. These would have affected whether she would chose to live as a human, a mystic, or to continue on as she was. Naturally, this would have also affected her story's ending.[[note]]In the retail version, her ending is affected by how many Mystic powers she develops via three pieces of Mystic equipment, and whether or not she saves Gina during the final act of the game. Saving Gina and not developing any Mystic powers grants the human ending, developing Mystic powers through all three pieces of equipment and not saving Gina grants the mystic ending, and any other combination (developing some mystic powers and saving Gina, for example) brings the half-mystic ending.[[/note]]
** Asellus also would've had an alternate escape from Facinaturu. Rather than being tipped off about the human pilot by Ciato, it would've been Zozma who told her how to escape. And the escape itself would've been quite different. Instead of hitching a ride with the pilot to Owmi, she and White Rose would have jumped into Kurenai's river of flame. They then would've found themselves naked but alive in Mosperiburg (the Remastered version left some clothes remaining, thus not completely naked), forcing them to pay a visit to Virgil to get two new sets of clothes.
** The other alternate escape route aside of Kurenai is some Trinity officers managed to get into Facinaturu and trick Asellus and White Rose to escape, while in truth, they got sent into the Trinity Base where they get involved with one of Emilia's missions. Unlike Emilia's scenario, Asellus parts ways with Emilia in the end instead of dragging herself into Gradius' missions, Asellus can still pick up Emilia if she does the Arcane Quest, and they'll recognize each other (but Asellus doesn't recognize her bunny girl getup)

* Red was supposed to have a relationship system with his Cygnus co-worker Yuria. Depending on how much Red paid attention to her, it would've modified the ending. It was unfortunately scrapped and not restored in the Remastered version, so Yuria ended up just being kind of there.

* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_mjssCHIWg&list=PL33021FE67F7DCC92&index=5 Standard Yorkland Song]], aside from being a remix of the theme of the Island at the End of the World from ''VideoGame/RomancingSaGa3'', was indeed meant to be used in Yorkland. Due to a bug, Dear my Country, originally the ending song of Lute's quest, plays on the town area instead.

* King Sei resembles an European undead knight despite him being unlocked after collecting the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Regalia_of_Japan Imperial Regalia of Japan]] (The Murakumo sword, the Mizukagami mirror-shield, and the Magatama bead pendant) scattered around his tomb at Shrike because series artist Tomomi Kobayashi "accidentally made him look European" as she herself states in ''The Essence of Saga Frontier'' book. One can only assume the developers loved the result so much that they didn't ask for a redesign, ignoring the inconsistency.

* [=T260G=] is female. Well, in the same way that a ship is female...

* Canonically, Rouge wins the WizardDuel betweeen him and Blue, and goes into Hell alone. He is also the brother who gets Space magic, but is then kicked out of Kylin's Paradise for being rude. He's also the ''good side'' of the duel. (Making Blue a VillainProtagonist.) He doesn't kill any of the beings he takes magic from (unlike Blue, who in his own questline explicitly kills either Kylin or Time Lord to get their magic). Also, though he was sealed in Hell by the wizards of the Magic Kingdom, Rouge then found the ability to escape without releasing any of the demons, after hearing the voices of his friends calling for him.
** The player could probably guess that Rouge being the good brother was the case just by watching the way they interact with other characters. Rouge is rather aloof (as might be expected of someone who has been told from birth that he's going to have to murder his twin brother someday) but is also willing to work alongside others and makes friends. The only time Blue appears in a story that isn't his own is when he meets Red on the Cygnus... and refuses to work with him because [[FelonyMisdemeanor he doesn't like Red's name]].
** The Remastered version, however, [[spoiler:mudded things out, because in Fuse's case on him, he has the freedom to choose who wins between Blue and Rouge (and also convinces either Time Lord or Kylin to give up the Gift of Time/Space magic before Blue/Rouge could claim them with fatal results). Then he bails either one of them from Hell.]]

* Asellus's half-Mystic ending is the {{canon}} ending.

* Canonically, Emilia saves her boyfriend, but chooses not to marry him due to the aftershock of her quest hurting her psyche. She later re-confronts Fuse about her unfair jailing and whips the DSC on him for revenge. The Remastered version modifies this: [[spoiler:While Emilia comes out fine and marries Ren regardless in Fuse's scenario, if Fuse didn't pick her up in the Trinity base, then she finds out that the Joker Mask possessed Ren because it managed to find its way to Fuse's evidence bag, which he decided to give to Ren as his marriage present. An enraged Emilia beat him up, but slashing and gunshot sounds were also heard, so she's unloading more than DSC. [[AmusingInjuries Though Fuse just came off with a few bruises.]]]]

* [=PzkwV=] is short for Panzerkampfwagen Five.

* Annie is the big sister of the possessed girl at Yorkland in Riki's quest. As of her other troublemaking brother... a scrapped idea had it that said brother was part of [=BlackX=], which may be why she has information about it, in particular Shuzer. The Remastered version touches this, but without blatantly confirming: During Fuse's scenario on Red's case, while assaulting Shuzer's base, Cotton confronted a Yellow [=BlackX=] Fighter who's not too thrilled with working with [=BlackX=] since his sister is going to 'kill him' if she ever finds out... he's referring to Annie.

[[folder: Misc. Information]]
* The statue of the Nameless Goddesses in the Magic Kingdom has an inscription on it which is normally difficult or impossible to read on a low-def TV. It actually says "Eaternal[[note]](sic)[[/note]] Memories & Sweet Congratulations to Minaba and Masako."
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Others]]
* DummiedOut: A '''lot''' of content didn't make it to the original version. To wit:
** At least five songs
** Two characters- "Common Mec" and "Woman"
** Five sprites- Fuse in a Despair 'janitor' costume, a differently colored Type 7 Mec, A mysterious SuperHero-esque woman, and nude sprites of Asellus and White Rose.
** Various views of the Region-ships, such as the Cygnus from beneath it, or the red ship with propellers from alternate angles
** Various unused rooms for existing places
** Unused text, much of it from Asellus's game
** "End of chapter" character art
** A few moves--some actually ''were'' used, but were categorized as spells in existing, usable, schools of magic.
** Some of these were restored in the Remastered version. But ''not all''.
* ReleaseDateChange: The remastered version was originally scheduled to come out during Summer 2021, but Square decided to release the game during Spring, on April 15, 2021 instead.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Literally enough to fill a book -- we know about a lot of them from "''Essence of [=SaGa=] Frontier''" and "''Complete of [=SaGa=] Frontier''". Fuse was supposed to have his own quest unlockable by completing the others, Asellus' quest was actually supposed to have plot between escaping Fascinaturu and returning to fight Orlouge, several entirely random dungeons and bosses were supposed to have plot significance for one or more of the quests, etc. The Remaster for the game at the bare minimum added Fuse's Story and parts cut out of Asellus' in.
