* DuelingShows: This series shared the same time slot as ''WesternAnimation/GarfieldAndFriends'' did on Creator/{{CBS}}. ''Garfield'' won this duel, as it lasted seven seasons, whereas ''[=ProStars=]'' only lasted one. Not helping ''[=ProStars=]''' case was that it aired on the lowest-rated Saturday Morning cartoon block at the time, which NBC abandoned in September of 1992 thanks to the combined failures of this series, ''Space Cats'', ''WesternAnimation/WishKid'' and ''WesternAnimation/YoYogi''. (And as the final nail in the coffin, one [[CouchGag post-opening sequence line]] from ''Garfield'' following it was "Don't bother checking NBC, kids. They're not running cartoons anymore.")
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: A couple episodes were released on VHS tapes and a DVD with three episodes came out in 2007, but the chances of anything else are looking slim. If you want the remaining episodes you'll have to go through unofficial means
* TheMerch: They even had a breakfast cereal.
* NoExportForYou: Like other American cartoons of this ilk screened on the UK's Creator/ChannelFour (though not ''WesternAnimation/NewKidsOnTheBlock''), the live-action segments were cut.
* TheOtherDarrin: Everyone was recast for the final episode, to exacerbate things, it was also a ClipShow. It remains unknown who these replacement actors were.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Originally, Dr. Ruth Westheimer was to be in the equivalent role for Mom. However, the producers and/or NBC got cold feet about having a sex therapist being on a SaturdayMorningCartoon.
