!!Franchise-Wide:
* ActingForTwo:
** In ''Secrets Of The Masters'', all three of the Wu sisters share the same voice actor, Creator/SumaleeMontano.
** In ''Secrets Of The Scroll'', in addition to reprising his role as Shifu, Creator/DustinHoffman also voices the other four red panda Masters that Tigress is originally sent to get.
* {{Blooper}}: Po's age isn't consistent throughout the films. Dialogue from the second movie states that Lord Shen waited thirty years for his vengeance, implying that Po is at least thirty years old as he was only a baby when Shen attacked his village. However, Mr. Ping says in the third movie that he "raised Po for twenty years before telling him he was adopted", seemingly suggesting that Po is only in his twenties during the third film's events.
* CreatorsFavorite: Creator/JackBlack has commented on his voice work as Po being his favorite role out of everything he's done.
* ExecutiveMeddling: The films are roughly around 90 minutes long. This was [[https://twitter.com/DiscussingFilm/status/1767179534527279234 mandated]] by certain Creator/{{Universal}} executives, affecting [=DreamWorks=] releases starting with ''WesternAnimation/RubyGillmanTeenageKraken''. Their rationale was to ensure more showtimes for more money, and believing "children can’t sit through a longer movie".
* TheOtherDarrin: In video games, spin-off TV series, and commercials, this is usually the case.
** Creator/MickWingert does the voice of Po whenever Creator/JackBlack is too busy - except for one video game where Eric Loomis did it. Both of them, by the way, do very good impressions of Jack.
** Creator/RandallDukKim usually voices Master Oogway, with the only exceptions being the first video game where GregBaldwin filled in and [[WesternAnimation/KungFuPandaThePawsOfDestiny The Paws of Destiny]] where he was replaced by Creator/PiotrMichael
** For ''Secrets of The Furious Five'', Max Koch fills in as Mantis again. JustifiedTrope for Creator/TaraStrong as Tigress, Jaycee Chan as Monkey, and Creator/JessicaDiCicco as Viper since they're specifically [[TimeShiftedActor younger versions of those characters]].
** For ''Secrets of the Masters'' Creator/VictorGarber and Creator/JeanClaudeVanDamme are replaced by Creator/PaulScheer and Tony Leondis as Thundering Rino and Croc.
** For ''Secrets of the Scroll'' Young Tigress is now voiced by Tara Macri with Creator/KariWahlgren and Creator/JamesSie once again filling in as Tigress and Monkey
* PlayingAgainstType:
** Creator/LucyLiu, previously known for playing [[DeadpanSnarker sarcastic jerks]] or remorseless assassins, voices the sweet-natured and kindly Viper.
** Creator/JamesHong, best known for playing strict mentors, evil sorcerers or unlikable authority figures, voices Mr. Ping, Po's affectionate, dorky doting foster father.
* RecursiveAdaptation: Some consider the whole franchise to be a ''very'' loose adaptation of a video game called ''VideoGame/TaiFuWrathOfTheTiger'', which Dreamworks was also involved in. Video games based on ''Kung Fu Panda'' itself were released ever since the first film, including ones based on the films and some of the spinoffs.
* TieInCereal: Each ''Kung Fu Panda'' movie had their own breakfast cereals, all them being chocolatey cereal with panda-shaped marshmallows.
