* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: These days, it is next to impossible to acquire the original ''coded'', let alone footage of it, as it is an obscure mobile phone game that was exclusive to Japan and predates the modern concept of phone games by such a large degree that the chances of anyone preserving a copy of it is ludicrously unlikely. The only well-known surviving footage of the game comes from a Japanese woman's playthrough uploaded to Nico Nico Douga, which [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-jzSstMXX8&list=PLkov7niVKCYoRldSniG_yVVDBUU1Wvgt1 has been helpfully re-uploaded to YouTube.]]
* NoExportForYou: The original cell phone version never left Japan due to being too intensive for most phones of the time.
* TheOtherDarrin: In 2.5's English dub of the remastered cinematics, Jim Meskimen voices the Genie, taking over from Dan Castellaneta, who previously voiced him in the series while Joe Ochman voices Jiminy Cricket taking over from Eddie Carroll (''I'', ''II'', ''Re:Chain of Memories'') and Phil Snyder (''Re:coded'' and ''3D'').
* RefittedForSequel: Early concept art for the first game shows Sora and Riku swinging the Keyblade by the Keychain to attack. This idea would eventually make it into ''Re:coded'' via the Chain Rave command.
* RemadeForTheExport: The Japanese cell phone game was remade for the Platform/NintendoDS for the sole purpose of bringing it to America.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: ''Re:coded'' was initially supposed to be a straight port job instead of a remake. An episodic UsefulNotes/WiiWare release a la ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIVTheAfterYears'' was also considered.
