1	* DevelopmentHell: A direct sequel to this movie was in various stages of discussion since its release. ''Film/EvilDeadRise'' ''finally'' released a decade later, but it has no direct connection to the original films or the remake.
2	* DyeHard: Jane Levy, who plays Mia, is a redhead.
3	* EnforcedMethodActing: The scene with blood-vomiting was done by covering the actress in fake blood--to the point she nearly drowned!
4	* FakeAmerican: Creator/ElizabethBlackmore (Natalie) is from Australia. Jessica Lucas (Olivia) is Canadian.
5	* PlayingAgainstType: Jane Levy's best known for being a snarky, redhead teen on ''Series/{{Suburgatory}}'', being in a movie with Victoria Justice, and looking eerily identical to Emma Stone. This came completely out of left field. Came full circle when this film, ''Film/DontBreathe'', and ''Series/CastleRock'' made her more known as a horror actress, which made it Playing Against Type when she returned to more lighthearted TV with ''Series/ZoeysExtraordinaryPlaylist''.
6	* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
7	** The original idea for the Abomination, the FinalBoss, was for it to be a hideous amalgamation of the bodies and faces of the five possessed people so far. They ended up being unable to make this work, but the concept was eventually realized for ''Film/EvilDeadRise'' with the Marauder.
8	** The original idea for TheStinger had Mia meeting Ash, the hero of the original ''Evil Dead'' trilogy, thus making this movie a StealthSequel instead of a ContinuityReboot. In the finished version, Ash does make a cameo, but not in any sort of context with the rest of the film.
9	** Sam Raimi et al. discussed making more DarkerAndEdgier Mia movies ''and'' more NarmCharm Ash movies, with the two eventually crossing over in a way that would be (presumably) spectacularly odd. The latter idea later became the 2015 TV series ''Series/AshVsEvilDead''. Director Fede Alvarez appears to have moved on from the franchise to focus on ''Film/DontBreathe'' and [[Film/DontBreathe2 its sequel]], while the franchise itself would instead receive a new film [[{{Unreboot}} in the original continuity]] (though without Ash), ''Film/EvilDeadRise''.
10	** The original ending saw Mia make it out of the woods and onto the road, where she was rescued by a truck driver and his wife. On the way to the hospital, she would have opened her eyes to reveal that she was a deadite before the film cut to black.
