* CelebrityVoiceActor: Japanese idol group Music/MomoiroCloverZ, who sang the film's ending theme, also voices the angels of Hell.
* CreatorBacklash: Animator Hisashi Eguchi, a talented animator that has worked on ''Dragon Ball'' and series such as ''Anime/CowboyBebop'' and ''Anime/GhostInTheShell'', criticized the film and Creator/TadayoshiYamamuro in a now-deleted twitter conversation with Masaki Sato. While he was promised he could do whatever he wanted without following the storyboard, he found his section being completely redrawn by Yamamuro. Both of them then called him a "big fish in a small pond" that sticks to one franchise without ever progressing.
* CreatorCouple: Real-life couple Creator/CristinaHernandez and Creator/RicardoTejedo voice Marron and Tagoma in the Latin American Spanish dub, respectively.
* DirectedByCastMember:
** Creator/ChristopherSabat keeps directing the dub for [=FUNimation=], as he's done for a lot of the rest of the franchise.
** Just like ''[[Anime/DragonBallZBattleOfGods Battle of Gods]]'', the Latin American Spanish dub was directed by Krillin's VA, Creator/EduardoGarza.
* InspirationForTheWork: Akira Toriyama came up with the idea to bring Freeza back in a movie from listening to the FilkSong ‘F’ by Music/MaximumTheHormone.
* TheOriginalDarrin: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Creator/GerardoReyero returns as Frieza's ''de facto'' voice actor after Creator/DafnisFernandez replaced him for ''Dragon Ball Z Kai''.
* PromotedFanboy:
** Music/MaximumTheHormone wrote 'F', dedicated to Frieza. Creator/AkiraToriyama listened to it and not only did it inspire him to create this movie, he even got 'F' featured as an InsertSong in it. What was originally a fan-made FilkSong ended up becoming the inspiration for a new movie and was used in the movie itself. Taken even further with Frieza's revival being retold and expanded in [[Manga/DragonBallSuper both continuities of]] ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'', one can say this song was the kickstarter for every development of his comeback, including [[spoiler:Black Frieza]].
** Scott Frerichs (Creator/KaiserNeko) of Creator/TeamFourStar plays one of Frieza's mooks.
* RealLifeRelative:
** Eduardo Tejedo (one of the voices of the thieves in the Latin American Spanish dub) is the father of Creator/RicardoTejedo (Tagoma's Latin American VA).
** Also from the Latin American Spanish dub, Creator/AlejandroOrozco, the younger son of Beerus's VA Creator/JoseLuisOrozco, provided additional voices in the film. Alejandro's older brother and José Luis's other son, Luis Fernando Orozco, voiced Trunks in the Latin American dub of ''Anime/DragonBallZKai''.
* TrollingCreator: Toriyama himself said during the movie's development that Goku wouldn't go Super Saiyan over the course of the movie, and in a sense, [[MetaphoricallyTrue he was technically correct.]] [[spoiler: The Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form isn't the base Super Saiyan form. Rather, it's what the Super Saiyan form becomes with Saiyans who have absorbed and mastered the Super Saiyan God form's energy.]]
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: After ''Battle of Gods'' came out, Toriyama expressed that he wanted the next film to focus primarily on Vegeta as the central character. ''Resurrection 'F''' would have been the perfect opportunity to capitalize on that idea considering Vegeta's dark, tortured past with Frieza and the fact that he never got to personally make Frieza answer for the heinous crimes he committed against him, so many fans were expecting Vegeta to be much more important in the film than he ended up being. It's likely that Toriyama changed his mind when ''Super'' was green-lit, saving the heavy Vegeta focus for the show instead.
* YouSoundFamiliar: In the Latin American Spanish dub, the receptionist is voiced by Creator/LauraTorres, who voiced the younger Goku, Gohan and Goten.
----
* A large portion of the original ''Manga/DragonBall'' cast -- Goku, Bulma, Master Roshi, Krillin, Tien, and Piccolo -- serve as the movie's main/supporting cast, with only Gohan and Vegeta being from pre-''Battle of Gods'' ''Anime/DragonBallZ''.
