Go To

* AbsurdlyShortProductionTime: Developed in only nine months during a time Eurocom was struggling. Possibly explaining why the game feels like a reskinned GoldenEye Reloaded.
* AllStarCast: Several high-profile actors reprise the roles of their characters, including Creator/JudiDench (M), Creator/RoryKinnear (Bill Tanner), Creator/MichaelLonsdale (Hugo Drax), Creator/CareyLowell (Pam Bouvier), Creator/TobyStephens (Gustav Graves) and Creator/RichardKiel (Jaws).
* CreatorKiller: The game was critically panned and sold poorly eventually leading the last 007 game developer for , Eurocom, to collapse out of game development entirely after 25 years.
* DummiedOut: Pre-release footage of the Film/Moonraker level showcased visual effects and setpieces that don't appear to be present in the final game, along with a version of Holly Goodhead that would have more closely resembled Creator/LoisChiles.
* FranchiseKiller: Put an end to the Creator/Activision Bond games and, for a time, future Bond games as well from any other publishers. After its failure, Activision quickly pulled this and all of their older 007 games from various online stores (including their own and Steam). Bear in mind this was all done less than two and a half months after the game was first released. While no official word has ever been given as to why, it is highly likely that Creator/EonProductions pulled the rights from them, and appeared to be unwilling to hand them to anyone else, until the announcement of Creator/IOInteractive's Project 007 in 2020.
* FollowTheLeader: A common criticism of the game is that it takes many gameplay mechanics from the VideoGame/CallOfDuty series, including weapon attachments, cutscene bosses, a cover system and much more.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Due to Activision pulling all of their licensed 007 games from rotation (as noted above), legitimate PC copies are effectively impossible to find in North America, and require either pirated versions or copies bought through grey market sellers (notably, the game had a large print release in Russian territories, which is where most of the current keys come from). Likewise, the pre-order DLC's (007 Pack and Nemesis Pack), as well as the Eve and Patrice characters for multiplayer, were already scarce-to-non-existent before they were pulled, and can't be obtained now unless someone managed to snag a gift copy in their Steam account.
* TheOtherDarrin: Most characters are based on their film portrayals, with the exception of four characters. Blofeld is an amalgamation of his three film appearances in the series (and is voiced by Glenn Wrage), Jinx is modeled after Gabriela Montaraz who was originally cast in the role before Creator/HalleBerry was attached to the film, Felix Leiter is played and modeled by Demetri Goritsas and not specifically based on any of the character's film appearances, and Holly Goodhead is based off of (and voiced by) the actress Jane Perry. In addition, Bond is voiced by Timothy Watson instead of Creator/DanielCraig (the only Activision-published Bond game not to have Craig voicing his version of Bond). Craig still gets credited as Bond, though.
* RecursiveAdaptation: Many of the game's costumes, levels, and set piece action sequences (particularly those from the Film/Goldfinger and Film/OnHerMajestysSecretService levels) strongly resemble those from Creator/MonolithProductions' VideoGame/NoOneLivesForever, which was itself an AffectionateParody of the "groovy 60's" era of James Bond.
