* ActingForTwo: Most of the cast play multiple roles, but Creator/ChrisMorris himself stands out - he played himself, regular reporters Austen Tasseltine and Ted Maul, and a number of one-off characters.
* ActingInTheDark: David Amess, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Basildon, was fooled into filming an elaborate video warning against the dangers of the fictional drug Cake in the "Drug" episode. He went as far as to ask a question about "Cake" in the UK Parliament, alongside real substances khat and gamma-hydroxybutyric acid. In response, the Home Office minister incorrectly identified the fictitious drug "Cake" as a pseudonym for the hallucinogenic drug methylenedioxybenzylamphetamine.
* DistancedFromCurrentEvents: The "Paedogedden" special was originally scheduled to broadcast on 5 July 2001. It was delayed as Creator/Channel4 were unhappy with the timing in connection to the disappearances of 15-year-old Danielle Jones in June and 11-year-old Bunmi Shagaya in early July. It eventually aired on Thursday 26 July 2001, and was repeated on Friday 27 July 2001.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Michael Grade mandated edits be made to one episode, and because of this [[BitingTheHandHumor Morris attacked right back]] and called Grade a cunt in response.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: An unaired pilot episode of this show, called "Torque TV" exists, though for some reason it was never included on the DVD. It was made in 1995 by Creator/ChrisMorris, and the rest of the crew. Most of the material in "Torque TV" was re-used for the Animals episode of this series, but there are several scenes that are either unique to "Torque TV", or were edited down for inclusion in the series. Of note is an entirely excised interview between David Jatt (Morris) and Sir Peregrine Worsthorne, ex-Editor of ''The Sunday Telegraph'' talking about domestic hippos; an extended WOFDCAP sequence, in which the animal rights activists have a telephone conversation with Martin Amis about the plight of Karla the elephant; a thrilling look at how animals are gaining respect, including the heartwarming tale of a mouse that saved a drowning tramp; an extended sequence in which Dr. Jonathan Kwattes (Ian Gelder) explains why all animals are vegetarian - even the carnivores - to a press conference; a heartfelt plea from murderous scamp Reggie Kray, and an extended interview with Carla Lane.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: In "Drugs", there was going to be a third sequence of Morris annoying drug dealers on the street, in which he would pull up in a horse-drawn carriage wearing Victorian garb and ask them for a tincture of opium, but the idea proved too impractical to attempt.
* WriterRevolt: The subliminal message which called Michael Grade a cunt.
