* BTeamSequel: A variant. The stunt performers for the 20th anniversary movie all belong to Built On Somewish, rather than Japanese Action Club.
* BonusEpisode: Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger Super Video: All Bakuryuu Roaring Laughter Battle was released with an issue of TV Magazine.
* CompletelyDifferentTitle: The series was known as Power Rangers Dino Thunder in Korea. Not to be confused with the actual Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder. Oops.
* ExecutiveMeddling: Mikoto Nakadai proved an extremely controversial character, as a would-be SixthRanger that savagely antagonized the heroes: not only did this get a lot of outcry from parents' groups, sales of [=AbareKiller=] toys were so low that sponsor Creator/Bandai demanded he go through a HeelFaceTurn. Nakadai's actor Kotaro Tanaka was disappointed by the character's abrupt redemption arc.
* MeanCharacterNiceActor: Completely contrary to his performance as [=AbareKiller=], Kotaro Tanaka was actually the youngest of the main cast and was known to be a bright and cheerful person off-camera. Nakadai's LargeHam lookalike in episode 44 and IdenticalStranger in the final episode are said to be much closer to Tanaka's actual temperament.
* PropRecycling: All the props and costumes in Abaranger 20th were the original props from the series (with the obvious exceptions of the OriginalGeneration Abarangekko and Ryoga’s EleventhHourSuperpower).
* RefittedForSequel: Abarenoh is largely based on an unused design for an upgraded version of the Megazord that would have been exclusive to the US version before Saban decided to just adapt the mecha footage from each new Sentai series every season instead.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen
** The title Abaranger, as in Abare (Rampage), had been thrown around for some years before it was deemed the perfect fit for the Sentai which brought back dinosaurs.
** Had Bandai not demanded his HeelFaceTurn, it's possible [=AbareKiller=] would have remained a villain for the whole show.
** Following the success of Hurricaneger: 10 Years After, there was a rumour that there would be an Abaranger: 10 Years After DTV special, however it didn't happen for one reason or another. Eventually the closest thing to it was the core three Abarangers' appearance in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters: The Great Dinosaur Battle! Farewell Our Eternal Friends, and even then only Koichiro Nishi (Ryouga) and Shou Tomita (Yukito) appear unmorphed with Aiko Ito (Ranru) being uncredited per her own requests (for reasons which may have been a factor in the decision to not make a "10 Years After"). Another 10 Years After DTV special didn't happen until Dekaranger in 2015. Eventually Abaranger got its proper reunion film in the 2023 film, Film/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger20thTheUnforgivableAbare with Aiko Ito even coming out of retirement to reprise her role onscreen.
** Tsuyoshi Hayashi, the actor for Hoji/[=DekaBlue=] in the following year's Dekaranger, made it all the way to the final round in auditioning for [=AbareKiller=] and was so disappointed at not being picked that he went into the Dekaranger audition resolving to not audition for hero shows again if he didn't get picked this time. Hayashi ended up playing a villain in episode 19 of Dekaranger (via the MonsterOfTheWeek using Hoji's body), so it's possible his theoretical [=AbareKiller=] performance would have been similar to that.
