* AscendedMeme: Lysander's illustration in "Dynamic Duo" shows him with one hand on Candy and another outstretched to a deer, spawning the "Lysandeer" nickname. During the school play arc, you can choose the class play to be ''Literature/LittleRedRidingHood'', during which Lysander will be cast as a deer. Candy will even call him "Lysandeer" in her thoughts during the scene they're in together.
* FanCommunityNicknames: The name for the fandom differs a bit depending on the language version, but it generally references the title in some way. ''My Candy Love'' fans are called Candies/Candygirls, ''Amour Sucre'' has Sucrettes, etc.
* NoExportForYou: The five volume French manga has only ever gotten a Spanish translation. Fantranslations exit, of course, but no other official translations have been forthcoming.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Armin and Dakota weren't initially planned to be part of the game.
** Dajan was almost a white guy named [[http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140708204055/mycandylove/images/8/83/Angel.png Angel]].
** Kentin's original fate after high school was to go back to military school. Considering his experience there the first time around, even his non-fans didn't think that was a good idea. Due to fan backlash, this was changed to Kentin becoming a dog trainer.
** In the UL original beta, Candy would've found out from Rosalya that ''both'' of Lysander's parents had passed away. The fandom wasn't happy with the implication that their Candy wouldn't know of such significant events happening to a friend (if you weren't on his route) or boyfriend (if you were). In UL proper, it was changed slightly so that Candy knew that Lysander's father had passed because of how ill he was at the end of HSL, but wasn't aware that Lysander's mother had passed shortly after.
* WriteWhoYouKnow: Armin is based off of [=ChiNoMiko=]'s boyfriend.
* WordOfGod: [=ChiNoMiko=] has several social media accounts and sometimes reveals little tidbits about the characters through them.
