* CreatorsFavoriteEpisode: Ste Pickford has stated that the third game was his favourite of the two he worked on and originally wanted ''Ironsword'' to be a {{Metroidvania}} like ''Kuros: Visions Of Power''.
* ExecutiveMeddling: The cover from the second game is a pretty infamous example that the Pickford brothers consider a classic case of "the lack of imagination of Americans". The third game's cover suffered from this as well, with Ste Pickford's original cover of a KnightInShiningArmor being thrown out for something similar to ''Ironsword'''s cover.
* ScrewedByTheLawyers: This series isn't represented in ''Rare Replay'' due to being considered part of Creator/{{Acclaim}}'s catalog, which were all auctioned off in 2005 following that company's bankruptcy.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: A fourth game, title ''Lasersword'' was planned, but never made due to the studio behind ''Ironsword'' and ''Visions Of Power'' going under. The third game's original ending had the three princesses finding out that they had all promised to marry the same hero.
** ''Visions Of Power'' was originally going to be titled ''Silversword''.
** Malkil was originally supposed to have three forms in the final battle of Visions of Power; Kuros would have to fight him as a thief, then as a wizard, then as a knight. One {{walkthrough}} of the game (back when they were published in books) had a screenshot of the captive king telling you this (in the finished game he gives you some useless advice and then leaves).
** In the aforementioned prototype, you fought an eye-monster instead of a dragon for the final gem.
