* The ending of "Desert Chic". Apep, a demon snake, falls in love with Nefer-Tina, and Nefer-Tina feels the same way. Only problem is they're on opposite sides. The final scene ending with Apep saving Nefer-Tina as she falls off the bridge was rather endearing. A lot of things must have been going through his head, loving Nefer-Tina or getting his revenge, and in the end, [[HeelFaceTUrn he chooses Nefer-Tina]]. Which makes the fact that he had to go back through the Western Gate anyway even more heartbreaking.
* The whole story of '[[DatingCatwoman Rath & Chontra]]' from "Good Bye Mr. Cheops". When Rath tries to admit that he did have strong feelings for her and that he was just afraid of what those feelings would do to him. At this point you'd think that Chontra might have a change of heart, or at the very least pause to contemplate his words. [[spoiler:She instead laughs, telling him that the only reason he reciprocated her feelings at all was because she had placed a love spell on him, which he was later able to shake off.]] OUCH!
* Just about everything the Mummies, especially Rath went through in "Eye of the Beholder".
* Just about everything involving Ja-Kal's backstory. From never getting to see his kid grow up to his fractured relationship with his brother. Not to mention his nephew Kimas, who like him isn't into his father's hatred for his uncle, and pulls a HeelFaceTurn ''and'' a HeroicSacrifice. Man, it sucks to be [[TheWoobie Ja-Kal]].
-->'''Ja-Kal:''' Must my duties ''always'' come first, even before my own family?!\
'''Rath:''' Well... [[BluntYes yes]].
** There's also when he goes to sit on a cliff overlooking the city and reflects on everything.
--->'''Ja-Kal:''' Must my duties always come first? I've given up so much for my pharaoh already. First my brother. Then my family. My life. What would my own son had been like at Kimas's age? Would I have been a good role model for him? [[ManlyTears Or would he hate me for leaving to serve the prince?]] I have a second chance here with Kimas. I could make up for it all. I have a family again in him. Would I give all that up for my prince? Ah, when will my duty end?
** That Ja-Kal still loved both his brother and his nephew even after all the former put him through is both [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments heartwarming]] and heartbreaking.
* "My Dad The Hero": Presley's father become a BrokenPedestal to him after he learns he is a thief. Nefer-Tina is able to relate to this by telling Presley about how she once participated in a race while disguised as a man and her father, not knowing who she was, told her he wished he had a son instead of a daughter.
