1* The scene where the townsfolk drive the main characters out of town. The entire time they're trying to salvage what's left of their latex faces by covering themselves with their hands. They end up looking like miserable beasts as they try to run and cover at the same time.
2* The flickering lights scene. one can tell how pissed off Guy-bot is about the whole ordeal, but the silver robot just... [[ThousandYardStare stares]] at himself in the mirror, trying to hold what's remaining of his mask in place.
3** What makes the scene all the more poignant is how it's a pretty literal case of [[TheMirrorShowsYourTrueSelf a mirror showing the character's true self.]] Despite the lack of any real expressive face, you can tell that inside, Thomas-bot is being crushed inside by his true identity.
4* The [[DownerEnding ending]]. [[spoiler:After a long while of desert walking, the silver robot begins trailing behind Guy-bot. When he goes back, the silver robot asks for [[DrivenToSuicide the self-destruct keypad on his back to activated]]. Guy-bot reluctantly does so, setting off a countdown that ends with the silver robot detonating. Guy-bot then picks up the remains of the silver robot and gathers them, making a sort of grave. After a while of walking the desert alone, Guy-bot snaps and gets on his knees, reaching for his own keypad. He can't reach it, but he keeps trying in a fit of rage, anger, and sadness. He eventually opts for a different means of suicide, through breaking his helmet and using one of the pieces as a burning glass to set his hand on fire. The final image the film presents you with is an uncut, 3-minute, slow-motion shot of Guy-bot, now fully engulfed in flames, walking through the now-pitch-black desert as Jackson C. Frank's "I Want to Be Alone" plays. It doesn't even show Guy-bot dying, per se; he just keeps walking until he almost disappears into the neverending darkness.]] Brrr.
