''VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay'', as part of its narrative, has many of its levels and bosses structured around movie parodies. Naturally, this means a lot of [[ReferenceOverdosed pop culture references]]. We can only hope we haven't missed any in the following list.

----
!! The references are as follows (please list them in chapter order):

[[AC: General]]
* It wouldn't be a game by Rare unless there were shout outs to some of their other game franchises; during the main menu Banjo's head can be seen mounted on the wall over the fireplace in the bar, and Kazooie's head can be seen on the handle of an umbrella in the closet where the chapter select is.
* Also, like the main page says, one idle animation has Conker pull out a UsefulNotes/GameBoyColor and play ''VideoGame/KillerInstinct'' on it (though ''Live & Reloaded'' replaced it with a made-up XBOX handheld that slightly resembles a GBA SP).
* The ''Live & Reloaded'' version added a shout out to ''VideoGame/GrabbedByTheGhoulies'' in the menu: you can see Cooper vomiting in a toilet in the save file 3 select section. Also Live & Reloaded has a few shout outs to its N64 counterpart. During the Hangover Chapter if you look around closely you can find Conker's old N64 War chapter helmet (since he gets an entirely new war costume and helmet in that chapter in Live & Reloaded), And in Windy in Live & Reloaded you can see a tree that shows its time rings that counts how many years it's been between the N64 version of the game and the XBOX remake.
* The death loophole for red squirrels (only) is a reference to the problem the UK (where Rare is based) had with native red squirrels being driven to extinction by transplanted American gray squirrels.

[[AC: Hungover]]
* The opening to the game is a reference to the opening of ''Film/AClockworkOrange'', with Conker narrating, holding milk in his hand, and with the same music from said scene (though ''Live & Reloaded'' replaced the milk glass with a goblet, making the reference to the scene a little odd).
* The sign next to Birdie reads [[Series/FatherTed "Feck off crows!"]].
* Conker's Helicoptery-Tail move is a reference to [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Tails]] and his ability to fly using his two Tails.
* The Professor is of course a CaptainErsatz of Film/DoctorStrangelove. As pointed out by the [[http://conker.wikia.com/wiki/Professor_von_Kripplespac#Trivia Conker Wiki]], he shares several similarities with Davros from ''Series/DoctorWho'':
** [[EvilCripple Both characters lost their legs in a war]], and now rely on [[SuperWheelChair technologically advanced hoverchairs]]
** Both are conniving, devious [[MadScientist mad scientists]].
** Both have a cybernetic eye.
** Both Kriplespac and Davros have a [[ArtificialLimbs mechanical hand]], although in the latter's case it is also his ''only'' remaining hand.
** Both are best known for creating a race of homicidal, Nazi-like cyborg killers--specifically Kriplespac with the Tediz, and Davros the Daleks.

[[AC: Windy]]
* When offering Conker the manual to use the slingshot, Birdy first asks for some [[{{Spoonerism}} 'Mepsi pax']] (Pepsi Max). He also says that Conker's will "[[Film/FullMetalJacket love manual long time]]".
* Conker's conversation with Mister Barrel at the windmill about "wanting to go for a ride" is based on an exchange between Frank and Jeffrey from ''Film/BlueVelvet''.

[[AC: Barn Boys]]
* Jack the metal box speaks in a manner similar to Foghorn Leghorn of ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' fame.
* The Haybot boss in the Barn Boys chapter is a parody of the ''Franchise/{{Terminator}}''.
* Shortly after Conker defeats Haybot and escapes the now-flooded basement of the stable, he finds a stack of money and says "Series/WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire Me, actually."

[[AC: Bats' Tower]]
* The Bulldog Shark parodies the shark from ''Film/{{Jaws}}'', and the scene where the Catfish are killed and Conker runs up a pier to escape from the Bulldog are taken right from the movie.

[[AC: Sloprano]]
* At the end of the battle against [[MiniBoss Bugger Luggs]] in the upward yard of the Poo Cabin, he makes a reference to Fat Bastard from the ''Film/AustinPowers'' film series when he's talking about his weight. He doesn't complete the dialogue ("I'm a fat bast...") because the grate he's standing on breaks, killing him when he drowns.
* When Conker first throws sentient sweet corn to the Great Mighty Poo it mirrors a scene from ''Film/{{Jaws}}''.
* During The Great Mighty Poo's song, a back and forth between Conker and the Great Mighty Poo ("My butt!" "Your butt?") is a nod to the Bugs Bunny short ''WesternAnimation/WhatsOperaDoc'', where Bugs and Elmer have a similar exchange mid-song about his "spear and magic helmet".
* When the Great Mighty Poo gets flushed away he paraphrases the [[Film/TheWizardOfOz Wicked Witch of the West]] when she melts.
--> I'm flushing! I'm flushing! What a world! What a world! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little squirrel like you could destroy my beautiful clagginess?
* The name of the level comes off as a nod to ''Series/TheSopranos''.

[[AC: Uga Buga]]
* Don Weaso and the Weasel Mafia are blatant [[{{Expy}} Expies]] of Vito Corleone and the Corleone crime family from ''Franchise/TheGodfather''.
* The giant dinosaur head in the caveman's shrine is a parody of the Dodongo Cavern level in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime''. To enter the dinosaur head in ''Zelda'', you have to place bombs on the dinosaur's eyes, which lights them up and opens the dinosaur's mouth. In ''Conker'', you have to sprinkle pepper in each of the dinosaur's nostrils instead, which will cause it to sneeze and open its mouth.
* The password for admittance into the rock-men's club is "Fellatio -- err, "[[Film/EyesWideShut Fedelio]]". The creators do seem to love their Kubrick.
* Don Weaso beating Paulie to death with a [[BatterUp Baseball Bat]] mirrors a similar scene from ''Film/TheUntouchables''.
* A ''Franchise/StarWars'' reference is that one of the bosses is named Buga the Knut, which is a spoofed name of the character Jabba the Hutt.
* Two Uga Buggas tried and ultimately failed to outrun a [[IndyEscape rolling boulder]] unlike ''Franchise/IndianaJones''.

[[AC: Spooky]]
* Gregg the Grim Reaper seems to be the polar opposite of ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'''s Death. Whereas the latter is portrayed as a deep-voiced, tall, and imposing figure with a fondness of cats, Gregg's a squeaky-voiced midget that hates those bloody critters with an undying bloody passion (but hates TheUndead even more).
* In the UpdatedRerelease, "Live and Reloaded", the ''Spooky'' chapter came with a ''Film/VanHelsing'' costume for Conker.
* Count Batula's appearance is modeled on Creator/FrancisFordCoppola's ''Film/BramStokersDracula'' as played by Creator/GaryOldman (though not the rejuvenated one), though he lifts lines from Creator/BelaLugosi's [[Film/{{Dracula 1931}} portrayal]].
-->"I never drink...wine."
-->"Listen to them. The children of the night...what music they make"
* The Zombies episode of this chapter as a whole is [[WholePlotReference a homage]] to the first ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil'': Conker's trapped inside a mansion overrun by zombies and needs 3 keys to unlock the exit. To really give the SurvivalHorror feeling, the shotgun controls are rather clunky and unwielding so it's preferable just to run away from TheUndead and [[DroughtLevelofDoom there are only 3 floating chocolates that can only be obtainted halfway throught the episode]] so you must be careful to not get hurt.
* Count Batula's portrait in the mansion foyer is modeled after Vigo the Carpatian's portrait from ''Film/GhostbustersII''.
* In ''[[UpdatedRerelease Live and Reloaded]]'', the area where you find Greg is changed to a town featuring a place called [[Film/AnAmericanWerewolfInLondon The Slaughtered Lamb]].

[[AC: It's War]]
* Before knocking him out, Sarge distracts Conker by yelling [[Franchise/BackToTheFuture "what the hell's that?"]]
* The boat scene during the War chapter where the Squirrel Soldiers are being slaughtered on the beach by the Tediz, almost mirrors the D-Day scene from ''Film/SavingPrivateRyan''. Also, one of the scenes in the chapter select spoofs Saving Private Ryan's title as the scene is called "Saving Private Rodent".
* Conker at one point early in the War chapter says [[Film/IndianaJonesAndTheLastCrusade "Tediz? I hate these guys!"]]
* The Little girl experiment boss; when she reveals her true form [[Film/TheExorcist her eyes change green and she turns her head 180 degrees]]. To drive the point home she says the following:
--> Do you know what your fucking daughter did?
* In the Casualty Department, Conker finds two surgeon tediz having a "philosophical" conversation about the nature of the game ("What if you were to give this game to - say - twenty intelligent people? I mean, what would that do? Let's face it, what would that do?" "Really, that's interesting") until they notice the red squirrel and decide to "[[Film/PulpFiction get into character]]", i.e growling incoherently and trying to stab him to death with flying scalpels.
* In [[UpdatedRerelease Live and Reloaded]], after killing all the surgeon Tediz in the casualty departmen, the [[MiniBoss lead surgeon Tediz]] bursts outta a green test tube with ''Film/KillBill'''s [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOy6hqzfsAs Ironside Siren]] playing as a warning.

[[AC: Heist]]
* The beginning of the final chapter (''Heist'') is called ''Enter The Vertex''. If the title isn't obvious enough, [[Film/TheMatrix the first scene will drive the point home.]]
* When Conker and Berri first meet the Panther King the shutters behind him open much like the ones that do in a scene from ''Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack''.
* The final boss is a reference to ''Franchise/{{Alien}}''; in fact Conker repeats the "Get away from her you bitch!" line from ''Film/{{Aliens}}''. It's also fought in a similar way to the Bowser boss fights in ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'', where you have to pick the Alien up by the Tail and spin them around, then let go to try and throw him out the airlock. After the confrontation, ''Film/TheMatrix'' is once again referenced when the game enters debug mode and Conker selects a weapon from an incoming row of all kinds of weaponry. And ''then'' Conker [[Film/PulpFiction exchanges a chainsaw for a katana]] to deliver the final blow to the FinalBoss.
