Given that teacher's salaries are notoriously low, car paint colors can be tricky and expensive to match, and that insurance companies are notorious for dragging their feet about paying out or even denying claims on flimsy excuses (like 'vandalism is not covered by your policy'), the teachers might very well have lost up to a month's salary paying to get their cars fixed.
