This is just a place where I hone my skills here, and toy around with the tropes.

!!Heroes:

* AdaptationalBadass: The Harpy form gets major points, not only does it grant her significant durability, even able to tank an explosion, but gains access to other abilities such as RazorWind. All this makes her much more powerful to the point where she even lands serious blows on Dialvas, that is until he decided to get serious as well and reveal his Dark Angel form to even the odds.
* WhatsUpKingDude: First greets Azdar (when his soul is residing in Zarin's body) this way. Lilith is annoyed at it, though Azdar is outright confused.
--> Eda: What's up, my king dude liege, my apprentice has been longing to see such a famed witch like yourself.
--> Lilith (annoyed): Edalyn, that is no way to greet ancient history!

[[folder: Bruno [=DeBandet=] ]]

* TheBigGuy: Downplayed, he's roughly Luz's height albeit a bit bulkier, but provides the heavy firepower.
* ButtMonkey: Soaks up some abuse to it, whenever he does a bit rash, he gets punched in the face. Notably, Willow decks it out on him and later Eda.
* ConfusionFu: His thing, Bruno doesn't have a specific magic class to know, but he can be unpredictable when going up against foes. Heck, even his magic is not known to the Owl Gang as it ranges from bombs, to a boomerang.
* PsychoKnifeNut: Well, more HotBlooded than crazy. Heck, when Gus tries to ask him the first time, he nearly slices him.
* LargeHam: He often poses in a more ridiculous manner, says he's the best and not afraid to hold it down. Eda compares him to a mix of King's arrogance and Luz's lust for adventure.
* RunningGag: Getting punched for doing something dumb.
--> Bruno: Does everyone want to punch me?
--> Hunter: Welcome to the club, pal.
* ShoutOut: According to the author, Bruno's design is basically a Sneasel, but with blade horns.

!!Azdar's Kingdom:

* BaritoneOfStrength: A deep voice for an omnipotent benevolent being. Being voiced by Creator/HenryCavill in HypotheticalCasting helps.
* BenevolentMageRuler: Unlike the monstrous sociopathic Philip, Azdar helps those who need him the most, even having aspects of AFatherToHisMen.
* CainAndAbel: The Abel to his brother, Dialvas' Cain. But the latter wasn't by his choice as he was corrupted into evil by The Dark Progenitor.
* MagicKnight: Not only he's a witch, but he also has access to various weapons like his sword.
* MyGreatestFailure: Dialvas' corruption under the Whispers of Madness is seen as this, and to this very day, it haunts him, considering he lost the one person that wanted to be saved. As Luz states;
--> Luz: Azdar...the hardest thing about your position is that you can't always save everyone.
* MysticalWhiteHair
* NamedWeapons: He calls his sword, "Hope"

!!The Zodiacs:

* AmbiguouslyRelated: Despite being named after the zodiac constellations, their relation to the Archivists and the Collector is up in the air if they are indeed Archivists. However, WordOfGod said that they're not related to the Archivists.
* ThemeNaming: Their last names each with their MeaningfulAppearance matches up with the Zodiac constellation and what it represent. For example, Victor and Virgil Gemini are named after the Gemini Zodiac, which represent twins and their ConjoinedTwins motif.

!!The Legion of Sorrow:

* AdaptationalOriginConnection: Due to the Archivists, and by extension the Collector being AdaptedOut. Dialvas has caused Philip to become Belos after stealing his dark magic albeit unknowingly for Dialvas.
* AlbinosAreFreaks: His skin is described as ghost-white, making him paler than Eda and Lilith's skin.
* AxCrazy: Underneath his calm and regal behavior, he's outright violent and will not hesitate to kill.
* BadassBoast: This frightening line;
--> Dialvas: They laughed at me, they abused me, they shunned me and exiled me and now, You will now feel my wrath of the pain I've suffered for too long for I, Dialvas Shachath have become Death, the destroyer of worlds.
* BlackBlood: Leaks these whenever he is gravely wounded.
* BigBad: The main antagonist of Gale of Darkness.
* CainAndAbel: The Cain to his older brother, Azdar's Abel. But it's not by his choice.
* CapeWings: His black cape can become this.
* CharacterTics: His KubrickStare. Heck, it even extends to his forms whenever he does a FightingAShadow, such as in Hunter's nightmare, he takes the form of him but does his own tic than Hunter's
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To Belos, as Lilith once stated, that Emperor Belos has major shades of TheCaligula with a AGodAmI Titan Complex along with being prone to being outright violent and egotistical, but he cannot use magic and has to rely on Magitek. Dialvas on the other hand is a living cataclysm that sets out to destroy the entire Demon Realm and cloak it in absolute darkness, and can use magic of his own under the term "Darkness Magic". The differences only get stronger considering the former is a genocidal monster of a human who wishes to kill all witches out of sheer pettiness, but Dialvas is a TragicVillain who wanted to cloak the world in darkness as retribution for what they treated him.
* TheCorrupter: His Dark Magic can be this. The biggest victim would be Philip as he takes a dose of it, which has already devolved his mind from unstable to borderline AxCrazy to the point where even as Belos, he never bothers to hide said insanity.
* DarkAndTroubledPast:
* TheDreaded: And for good reasons. In his first physical appearance in a NightmareSequence with Lilith, she goes under a massive panic attack in his presence.
* EmptyShell: What Dialvas became after getting corrupted. He lost all of his feelings and only feel sadness, anger, and hatred for all with very little trace of his former self.
* EvilCounterpart: WordOfGod stated that he is meant as an Antithesis to Eda. While Lilith is like that, until her canonical HeelFaceTurn, Dialvas plays it much more straight than her. Even Eda thinks they may be both alike, but not in their actions.
* EvilIsNotAToy: Defied, unlike The Collector, Dialvas practically sees everyone as an enemy to him. Belos knows that he can't be used since it could result in a swift death, so he attempts to work around it by summoning him while he makes his escape so the demon realm would die under Dialvas. Unfortunately for him, it didn't work.
* EvilSoundsDeep: As an EvilCounterpart to Azdar, his voice is just as deep.
* EyeColorChange: Before Dialvas' corruption, his eyes are dark purple, but then it was changed to SupernaturalGoldEyes upon getting corrupted.
* Expy: Of Sephiroth from VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII
* FallenAngel: His design invokes this, right down from the black wings.
* FightingAShadow: In Retold, the Dialvas that was fought at Belos' castle was a projected avatar the real one created. But unlike The Collector, it extends to what he can do.
--> Dialvas: What you destroyed...was nothing more than a projected avatar I created just to derail my future demise. Child, when you truly face me, I will not hesitate to destroy you and your kind. Until then...farewell for now.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: As a child, Dialvas was ignored by people and even gets major physical abuse from them with the exception of his adoptive father to exiled and outcasted into the cruel world. But after getting power from The Dark Progenitor, all Hell has unleashed on the entire Demon Realm.
* GodEmperor: Sort of, as he's often called Lord Dialvas, but it is still the same trope nonetheless.
* GodOfDarkness: Revered as a DestroyerDeity and can cover the world in absolute darkness where no stars shall shine.
* GoodWingsEvilWings: Compared to Eda's Harpy form. It looks far more sinister, like a cross between a demonic dragon and a crow. This is especially once ArtEvolution comes in where his wings get much more decayed and look nearly corpse-like.
* HatedByAll: A rare case where it's not his actions that caused everyone to despise him, but his condition. As a child, Dialvas' ghost-like skin and troubled behavior were hated by the people due to him being considered a horrific omen and bad luck to all. Then he decided if he would be treated like this, then so be it.
* HellishPupils: Gains these after getting corrupted.
* HeroKiller: It has been stated by many, that those who cross paths with him, shall never see the light of day ever again. This comes to a head wherein Chapter 20, he was on the precipice of killing Eda and would have succeeded had Zarin not interfered.
* HornsOfVillainy: His crown is shaped like a pair of black devil horns.
* MeaningfulName:
** Dialvas is derived from the Spanish word, Diablo which means Devil alluding to his status as the Dark Lord, one of the many names for Satan himself.
** His last name, Shachath is Hebrew for "To Destroy/Rot/Ruin/Corrupt" giving a double meaning since he lived as a child that has a DarkAndTroubledPast and after becoming the Dark Lord, vows to destroy all who wronged him.
* MonsterProgenitor: All the Sins that plagued Luz and the others all came from Dialvas.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: And during his battle with Azdar just before the latter sealed him, it ended up destroying the Titan they're above
* ThePowerOfHate: His unfettered hatred towards Azdar and by extension, those who see him as a pariah is what fuels his dark magic. Even The Dark Progenitor enforces that for as long his hatred is intact, it can get outright devastating.
--> The Dark Progenitor: "Do not fight it, you must remember one thing when using my power. Hate... just hate and I promise... I promise the pain will go away... I can do that... we can make it happen... if you just... hate!"
* ShadowArchetype:
* StartOfDarkness: Chapter 22, Sorrow of a Witch explains the entire backstory of how Dialvas ever became the cold-hearted Dark Lord
* SupernaturalGoldEyes: Combines with BlackEyesOfEvil, similar to Eda's Harpy form.
* TragicVillain: Oh so much, it's tough to feel sorry for him on the sheer abuse he went through before becoming what he is now.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Before, Dialvas was seen as a more cheerful person as a child, but now, he's a cold-hearted monster.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Dialvas was once like Eda, but the fact he was shunned due to his unusual paler color and disorder and then exiled by the people out of fear of his unknown power. Even the Owl Gang teared up over this with Luz saying that, even by Demon Realm standards, Dialvas didn't deserve all this.

* AxCrazy:
* BodyHorror: Due to the summon being incomplete, the avatar appears as a black melted corpse-like being that constantly leaks out inky blood of sorts (think Belos except with a pitch-black color than green). Luckily, BishonenLine kicks not long afterward.
* FightingAShadow: This could be figuratively and literally since this is not Dialvas, but a summoned form Belos brought.
* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: The scariest part is that according to WordOfGod, even if Belos did succeed in summoning the avatar, it's still not complete. No matter what happens, Dialvas' Avatar would still be a rotted gooey corpse-like being.

!!The Council of Darkness:

* ArcVillain: Starting with Arc 4, each member has a big prominent role. Bellatrix Mevieu in the 4th, Talbot in the 5th and Aleister in the 6th. The Black Death is the only one that subverts this due to his status as TheHeavy.
* EliteFour: They're this, even at the final stretch, they face off the heroes before going up against their master.
* EvilCounterpart: Besides being an eviler version of the Head Covens (besides Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf), they're this to the Zodiacs.
* EvilSoundsDeep: All of them, but especially Aleister, who sounds even more deeper and demonic than Tarak.
* VilerNewVillain: Compared to the Head Covens, or at least until their HeelRealization on Philip. they're far more frightening and more formidable. Even Talbot Graves who despite the least dangerous of the generals does ColdBloodedTorture to his slaves and even killed several people.

A mysterious black knight has been said to roam on The Boiling Isles for 400 years. However, this black knight is known as "The Black Death" and served under the Dark Lord, and now he has appeared again to help bring forth Dialvas and cloak it in darkness. Has a connection to not just Belos, but Hunter as well.

----

* TwentyFourHourArmor: Never takes off the armor. But that makes him all the more enigmatic and scarier.
* AdaptationalAbomination: [[spoiler:While in canon, we see very little of what Caleb is. But thanks to a dose of dark magic from Dialvas. It grants him otherworldly magic, such as the ability to revive the dead, explode in swarms of black witch moths, and can steal souls, among other horrific things. That makes him much more of an eldritch horror compared to his brother.]]
* AdaptationalBadass: [[spoiler:In the mentioned above, this take of Caleb is far stronger than what canon has shown. WordOfGod even notes that Yvelor is almost strong as Dialvas himself. Even in a what-if scenario with a fully powered Eda, she staggers him at worst. There's a good reason why Yvelor tends to take the WillfullyWeak route.]]
* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: [[spoiler:In Canon,(or at least from Belos' perspective via the BigLippedAlligatorMoment in "For The Future". But in Gale of Darkness, knowing what happened after his death, the now resurrected Caleb[=/=]Yvelor is now out for blood for Belos.]]
* AnimalMotifs: The Moth, or specifically, the Black Witch Moth. In Real Life, there has been a myth in Mexican and Dominican saying that this species of moth is seen as a harbinger of impending death, which very much fits Yvelor's Grim Reaper motif.
* BlackKnight: With TheGrimReaper elements to boot.
* BossSubtitles: "Fallen Warrior" in the first three encounters, but for the final time, he dons the title, "Grim Reaper of Wrath"
* ButterflyOfDeathAndRebirth: Or moth, since he's associated with the Black Witch Moth mentioned above. This fits with what he truly was.
* CanonCharacterAllAlong
* CameBackStrong
* ClimaxBoss: On the third encounter, he is fought just before Dialvas is released.
* CreepyShadowedUndereyes:
* DesignPreservationVillain
* TheDragon: Dialvas' second-in-command, the one who takes orders from him and commands other members of The Legion of Sorrow.
* EvilIsBigger: Looks around "7'6" to "7'9"
* Expy: Although Yvelor is meant to be a cross between Death, Black Knight and Meta Knight. He has similarities with Count Bleck.
* Foil As an EvilCounterpart to Hunter, there are several contrasts between the two.
** While Hunter is a teenager with a somewhat scrawny build, Yvelor is an adult but with a more muscular physique.
** Hunter acts immature until his CharacterDevelopment, but Yvelor lacks humor and acts very stern.
** Hunter uses artificial magic before getting Flapjack, Yvelor uses actual magic.
* HellIsThatNoise:
** His Soul Steal, aside from the victim's scream of agony, it also makes this creepy laughter from children.
** Whenever the helmet emits GlowingEyesOfDoom, it makes this cacophonic screech. It only means one thing; Run.
* INeedYouStronger:
* ItIsDehumanizing: Until The Black Death's gender was revealed, everyone refers to him as an "it". Considering that no one wasn't sure if he was a witch underneath all that armor, unlike Belos.
* KnightOfCerebus: The Black Death is an unstoppable force of death. He also has a shockingly good kill count where he kills a good amount of characters (though they're villains rather than heroes). Not to mention, there is no humor in him whatsoever. All of that is something not even Belos can't do in canon despite his sheer sadism toward everyone.
* LancerVsDragon: It would be inevitable that Hunter would face off against Yvelor before the final battle with Dialvas.
* Necromancer: His power and ability to resurrect the dead add to his grim reaper motif.
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: When part of your name is basically old spelling for "Evil", that's something you should high tail it out of here.
* PupatingPeril: The armor is heavily implied to be the cocoon of his true self, only coming out when his rage peaks.
* PreFinalBoss: The last of the Generals faced right before Dialvas.
* RageHelm
* RecurringBoss: While the other three generals is fought twice. Yvelor is fought four times throughout the story.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Though his helmet obscures his face, similar to Belos when appropriate enraged, hellish bloodred eyes comes out. This is actually a major hint to his connections to Hunter.
* ThatManIsDead: "Caleb Whittebane, is no more! I! AM! YVELOR!"
* TragicVillain: Unlike his brother who is an absolute monster of a human, once you know his backstory, it's really hard to feel sorry for him. Considering that even Zarin admits that he would forever be a rage-fueled monster that lost everything due to Philip's pettiness.
* VillainKiller:
* WillfullyWeak: Due to his sheer power, he tends to hold it back. One very good example is that if he were at full power, he would outright kill Belos, rather than give him an outright brutal NoHoldsBarredBeatdown.

* AnimalMotifs: The wolf. Fittingly enough, his first name is an homage to Film/TheWolfMan1941 where it's named after Lawrence Talbot, one of the influential werewolves in media.
* TheEvilGenius: The smartest of the higher forces. Talbot's genius works on brand new weapons for his dark master.
* ExtraOreDinary: Possesses an unknown power known as "Ferromancing" where he can create and bend metal at will.
* NightmarishFactory: He owns one under the name, Graves Industrial Inc. The place where all slaves go to work under him to create horrific experiments for his dark master. It's somehow even worse than Blight Industries when the gang realized that they also use slaves also as experiments.
* OminousPipeOrgan: Very fond of playing these instruments. It's even part of his Leitmotif

* AbsurdlySharpClaws: Like her inspiration, her fingers turn into 3-foot-long finger blades enough to slice abominations like a hot knife through butter.
* BlobMonster: Her true form. As a result of turning into the darkness, she becomes this more amorphous ink like abomination. However, the cost is that she devours stuff in order to maintain her form.
* Dogged Nice Gal: At a young age, she was one of the nicest students at school and treated Alador with kindness. That is until Odalia came in and proved to be better than her. She desperately tried to convince Alador that Odalia is a horrible cruel witch that only cares about control. Sadly, Alador refused and dump Bellatrix.
* EvilIsBigger: Described as somewhere between 11-13 feet tall, and enough to hold Amity like a ragdoll.
* Expy: To Lady Alcina Dimetresque of VideoGame/ResidentEvilVillage.
* GeniusLoci: Throughout her mansion, there is dark abomination goo everywhere. While that seems disturbing, then Amity realized, they're her body oozing out of it. This is how she's able to get the jump on her and Lilith.
* MoodSwinger: Mevieu at one moment, acts calm, motherly and nice to Amity, but then gets outright violent and psychotic to Edric and Emira.
* OminousMusicBoxTune: Her Leitmotif.
* OneWingedAngel: Aside from her real body being a slimy BlobMonster, once she reached her RageBreakingPoint, she turned into a gigantic Abomination storm. She didn't whip it up, She is the storm.
* WomanScorned: Let's just say Alador dumping her for Odalia is a bad idea. A really bad idea. Unsurprisingly, Alador regretted that decision hard.

There have been stories of demon warriors that only served for protection. However, one demon named Aleister felt that the warriors had been going soft recently and decided to aim for status as "The Apex Demon". However, despite his attempt at usurping, he perished under the fires they set for him.

That would've been the end for one of the most feared warriors in all of The Boiling Isles, that is, until Yvelor resurrected him into a skeletal demon who needed some brute force in the Council of Darkness.

----

* AlwaysABiggerFish:
* ArcVillain: Usurps Bill for Arc 6.
* BackFromTheDead: Ended up killed during his staged attack and usurping his kin, but brought back as a skeleton.
* BadassBoast:
--> Aleister to Tarak: And...did you bring these mongrels here....just to watch you....die?
* BaitAndSwitchBoss: Bill may be the ArcVillain of the 6th Arc, but once Aleister comes into the scene, Luz and the others now have to worry about a much greater threat.
* BreathWeapon: His Fire Scream.
* TheBrute:
* CeilingCling: Often does this; WordOfGod said that this is an homage to WesternAnimation/StarWarsCloneWars where General Grevious does the same thing to get the attack on some Jedi warriors.
* DemBones: A skeletal demon that has been resurrected by Yvelor.
* EvilIsBigger: He's nearly 10 feet tall.
* EvilSoundsDeep[=/=]EvilSoundsRaspy: He has a much more gravely voice that almost sounds like a hollowed, rattled voice, given his undead status.
* Expy: According to the author, Aleister is inspired by Raven Beak, Shao Khan and General Grevious. Even having the motives of the first one, coming from a race of benevolent beings that wanted to usurp them as he thinks power is everything.
* Foil: To Kikimora. While both are demons, Kiki is a small living demon dwarfed by the Emperor's Coven, but Aleister is a hulking skeletal demon that towers over the council. This is backed up further when Aleister thinks he can outsmart Dialvas but does it in a more complex way no one can suspect, but Kikimora does it in a reckless manner that not only creates suspicion with the others, but it led to her downfall.
* Hellfire: The fire in him cannot be doused. Not even boiling water can stop him. The only way to defeat him is to use holy water to put a stop to his rampage.
* GlowingEyelightsOfUndeath: Complete with RedEyesTakeWarning, and TheUnblinking.
* LivingMoodRing: The flames inside his ribcage indicate his mood. Green is neutral, red is angry, purple for happy, grey for uncertain, and blue for sad.
* NonHumanUndead: An undead bony demon resurrected by Yvelor's necromancing.
* SavageSpikedWeapons: Wields a morning star mace that's nearly as big as he is.
* TechnicolorFire: Depending on his mood, it changes to match.
* WreathedInFlames: His power bestowed by Dialvas.

!! Other Members of the Legion

Despite looking like a small demon mascot for Camp Nightmare, what Count Guerrel really was is a bloated monstrosity of a demon that devours things.

----

*
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Guerrel has a really ridiculous design even by demon standards. But he happens to be a member of the Legion and can devour witches in a matter of seconds.
* CoolCrown: Subverted, despite its shiny looks, it's fake since he won it in an eating contest. Though once defeated, King takes it and admits it's much better than his Burger Queen crown.
* ExtremeOmnivore: To count a long list; Unicorns, bats, small demons, animals, other witches,
* FatBastard: Very much so.
* StomachOfHolding: Literally. Has a second stomach that serves as a prison to his victims where he takes them to wherever he goes.
* TopHeavyGuy: No seriously, he's incredibly bloated and his legs just look like sticks.

* BodyHorror: Her ForcedTransformation into a treant is not very pretty, to say the least.
* Treants:
* WhenTreesAttack: After turning into a treant, she becomes this trope.

!!Sins

Thought to be long gone in the demon realm.....until now.

----

* AxCrazy
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: Compared to the Emperor's Coven. Fittingly, their plague-like form is heavily inspired by the Black Plague which makes sense given the Coven has the PlagueDoctor motif.
* CreepyAsymmetry
* Foil
* TheHeartless: They are born of witches' dark commitments and negativity.
* HellIsThatNoise: While we never hear it directly. But the fic describes their screeches and roars as uncomfortable to listen to. WordOfGod states if their sounds were real, they would sound like an unholy mix of the Demogorgon and a pig squealing.
* HumanoidAbomination: They are vaguely humanoid, but are made from negativity and hatred.
* MeaningfulName: A sin is an act of malice which these monsters are born from the hatred and malice the inhabitants made.
* Mooks The other kind of mooks beside the witches who turned into the dark.
* OmnicidalManiac: To put it lightly, they kill whatever moves until it stops moving. And if there are no organic beings in sight, then they tend to tear down the environment.
* OminousObsidianOoze: What they're made of... though unlike Philip, it's described as a more pitch black ink-like and watery.
* OrificeInvasion: Sins do this to Witches as shelter from light.
* PiecesOfGod: They're the lingering embodiment of Dialvas' hatred, set out to corrupt other witches.
* RedBaron: "The Great Poison Given Form"
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: With their seemingly humanoid appearance, AxCrazy behavior that attack anything on sight, leaking constant ink-like sludge. The Sins are basically Belos' UndeadAbomination form.
* TheVirus: If one were to get a good wound on any unsuspecting person. They must fight it with positivity or else they'll melt into one of them.

* TopHeavyGuy: Their legs are pretty small, which forces them to undergo some sort of PrimalStance akin to gorillas.

!! Lilith's Sin
--> "Horrific as it sounds, but there are now two of her."
-->-- Zarin

When a sin attacked Lilith Clawthorne, although it died supposedly, but the Sin copied and created into something horrific.

----

* AnthropomorphicPersonification: As mentioned below, it takes the form of a gigantic Lilith, but it often takes the form of the Owl Beast, implying that it's made from Lilith's guilt.
* AxCrazy: The Sins were already bad to begin with. But Lilith's Sin is Emperor Belos levels of monstrous and violently sadistic as it goes out of its way to make everything suffer under its heel. This is especially true when it takes sheer pleasure to destroy Lilith's own life.
* BadBoss: It really doesn't care if its Sin horde gets destroyed, as it deemed them pathetically expendable.
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To both the Owl Beast and Lilith herself;
** The Owl Beast despite its hostility turns out to be a NonMaliciousMonster. Lilith's Sin however is an all-knowing sadist that goes out of its way to ensure everything suffers under its heel.
** The Owl Beast is an EnemyWithin until what it really was. The sin is an EnemyWithout since it was ejected from her after her HeelFaceTurn.
* CreepyLongFingers: they're much longer and creepier looking.
* ClimaxBoss: It guards the final Soul Shard of Azdar.
* EvilKnockoff: It's this to the real one.
* EvilMeScaresMe: This thing is what completely scares Lilith as it represents everything she's done, whether directly or indirectly (such as her father suffering a CareerEndingInjury from her cursed sister).
* GiantWoman: It's a copy of Lilith, but much larger than anything else. According to the author, it's the size of a barn when on fours, but if it stands, it's bigger than the Owl House. And the fact it's also a SizeShifter that absorbs more Sins to get even bigger.
* GlasgowGrin: It has one, which is meant to resemble the Owl Beast's mouth.
* HateSink:
* HumanoidAbomination[=/=]AnimalisticAbomination: Moreso than the Sins. While it takes the shape of Lilith, some attributes make it just off, from its mouth being more GlasgowGrin that replicates the Owl Beast to the more birdlike feet it has.
* KillAndReplace: It's the main goal. Kill the original Lilith and usurp her spot.
* ItIsDehumanizing: Despite being a clone of Lilith. The cast refers to this Sin as "It" to really give it the monstrous thing vibes.
* KnightOfCerebus: Once this monster steps in, everything goes to hell for everyone.
* MagicalBarefooter: Unlike the real one, this one lacks footwear, giving it a more feral-looking appearance.
* MonsterLord: The Ruler and commander of the Sins Dialvas created.
* MultipleHeadCase: In its true form, it gets 2 more heads. WordOfGod says Hydreigon from Pokemon was the inspiration.
* OneWingedAngel: It becomes a much more monstrous version of the Raven Beast, but with several Hydreigon elements thrown in.
* Sadist: Very. Much. So
* ScaryTeeth: It sports uneven serrated jet-black teeth, which are meant to resemble's the Owl Beast's JaggedMouth.
* TheWormThatWalks:
* YouCannotGraspTheTrueForm: Downplayed, while at times, it poses as Lilith. But there are times when it often shifts to the Owl Beast's form, implying that this Sin represents Lilith's guilt.

* BodyHorror: The Experiments themselves are not very pretty to look at due to a combination of flesh and metal. Experiment AB-01 for example has an freakishly oversized arm
* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To Blight Industries and Abomatons
* EvilInc: Yep, and it's much worse than Blight Industries.

* Expy: It takes several cues from VideoGame/MetroidFusion's Nightmare.
* GeneticAbomination: Ok, maybe not to the literal name, but this thing was created among Talbot's twisted experiments.
* InSeriesNickname: Talbot dubs AB-01 "Ferrity", which is a portmanteau of Ferro and Amity.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Though it only appears in the one-shot (it was encountered later on), it actually influences Odalia to create a similar project being Abomatons.

* FogOfDoom: Her implied DyingCurse has created drastically cold water, unlike the boiling water, which colliding with it causes this fog. And she exploits it for unfortunate wanderers.
* NightmareFace: Her face in Eda's eyes is best described as the same one the Owl Beast have, but much more skeletal human than the barn owl one.
* ShoutOut: She's based on Della, the antagonist of Goosebumps' Literature/TheCurseOfCampColdLake. However, unlike what she actually looks like being a human ghost, she takes heavy cues of the cover art which may or may not be Della but more skeletal. She also takes heavy cues from Hisuian Zoroark.

A Palisman given to Yvelor

* AnimalisticAbomination: Despite looking like a simple Black Witch Moth and far from the more monstrous Owl Beast. There is something very wrong about this Palisman. Due to getting infused with Dark Magic, it is able to mimic dead people as a means to lure unsuspecting people, eject dark magic, and become a full-on weapon. Even other Palismen are scared of it and the Bat Queen who despite their caretaker for them refers to Azrael as an outrage of Palistrom and as a weapon rather than helping others.
* ReligiousAndMythologicalThemeNaming: It's named after the Angel of Death, Azrael.
* ShownTheirWork: A Black Witch Moth seems like a way to incorporate a pun for MageSpecies, but there's much more to it. This certain species of moth is seen as a harbinger of death in Mexican and Dominican (the latter of which is Luz's heritage) folklore which makes it more meaningful, especially considering Yvelor's status as TheGrimReaper.
* SinisterScythe: Can morph into one as Yvelor's WeaponOfChoice.
