* Special Relationships: '''[[Pantheon/{{Mindsets}} Homestar Runner]], [[Pantheon/{{Metafiction}} Strong Bad]]''' (Their Doppelgangers)
* Homsar and Senor Cardgage are residents of the ever-quirky state of Free Country, USA, and might be the most eccentric members of their world. Homsar is a mysterious being resembling Homestar Runner capable of casually breaking the laws of physics, while Senor Cardgage is a homeless bum who looks like Strong Bad. While there's a fair bit that they share in common, the most notable is that they speak nonsensical gibberish as their normal means of communication, with Homsar saying random phrases while Cardgage speaks in mangled Malapropism, and the amount of times either of them had said anything that makes sense combined can be counted on one hand. While most of the other Free Country residents just find them weird and annoying, they do have friends: Homsar is often seen hanging out with Marzipan and Strong Sad, while Strong Bad unironically thinks Cardgage is a cool role model.
* Both of them showed up in the Pantheon one day with both little warning and fanfare, with them proceeding to aimlessly wander the Pantheon. In all honesty, two physic-defying, nonsense spouting weirdos is hardly uncommon in the Pantheon, and combined with them being basically harmless were ignored for a while. It wasn't until the other Free Country residents stumbled upon them that anyone even bothered to report them, with Homestar and Strong Bad going to the court to ask about why they were there. Eventually, the court decided that, if everyone was fine with the two staying, they might as well have a title, with them getting '''[[WordSaladHumor Comically Random Gibberish]]''' for the simple reason of them spouting nothing but amusing nonsense.
* Unlike most gods, the two don't really have a temple to live in as far as anyone knows, as they spend all of their time aimlessly wandering the Pantheon, often confusing any bystanders they come across. They were offered one by the court, but all they got from the two was nonsense about croissants and aglets, respectively. Either way, the two can often be seen in the most random possible locations minding their own business, though how they go about it actually changes depending on the subject: Cardgage is generally in plain sight either sleeping or munching out of his grocery bag, while Homsar is more hidden and requires some searching, usually greeting the finder with gibberish. Most of their interactions with other deities often happen on complete chance.

* Enemies: [[Pantheon/ChildArchetypes Mandy]], [[Pantheon/HomesAndUrbanEnvironments Spooky]]
* Wendy Carter, one of the many unfortunate survivors of The Constant, wasn't always incredibly depressed and nihilistic: she was once the twin sister to the late Abigail, as well as the niece to struggling stage magician William Carter. The twins would regularly play with each other, with Wendy being the more quiet, reserved twin to the more outgoing and energetic Abigail. That all came crashing down, however, with Abigail's sudden and mysterious death, which took a massive toll on Wendy's mental health, resulting in her becoming moody and borderline suicidal over the years. Things hardly got better when she was tricked by Maxwell, who in reality was her former uncle, into getting stuck in the Constant, a DeathWorld where, if the various deadly creatures didn't kill you, than the darkness itself very much can. Not all was hopeless however, as Wendy gained the special ability to summon the ghost of her sister to protect her in combat, as well as being able to craft potions to buff her capabilities. Soon she came across other survivors after the Night Monster, Charlie, took control of the Constant, aiding the other survivors in their efforts to survive despite her cynicism.
* Her ascension was the result of a massive project from Wilson, who had ascended to The Pantheon and planned on bringing the other survivors over as well. To do this, he spent months studying with the Pantheon's smartest scientists to create a portal to the Constant someone over the safer realm, having just recently finished it and was ready to use it. The catch was that he could only bring over one survivor before the machine broke down, after which he would have to repair the thing over the course of another couple of months. Activating the machine, he ended up bringing over Wendy as his first choice. Many gods noted that, for someone that was just rescued from a deadly realm and had just been reunited with her friend, she was remarkably bleak and quiet. After some gods did some research on her backstory, she ended up getting a title and was welcomed to the Pantheon, to which she reacted to with utter apathy. It didn't take long for her to figure out that she had the same "curse" as Wilson had (The Pantheon's night can still kill her and she's periodically attacked by Hounds), she generally sticks with Wilson and helps him prepare for the night.

* Cuphead and Mugman were brothers living in Inkwell Isle with their caretaker, Elder Kettle. One faithful day, while the two were playing outside with each other, they came across The Devil's Casino, with the thrill seeking Cuphead immediately entering to gamble. Unfortunately, that name wasn't metaphorical, as eventually Cuphead entered debt with the owner, who happened to be TheDevil himself. Deciding to make use of the two, he tasks them with retrieving every contract he's owned in exchange for sparing them, and so, with the help of some FingerGun granting drinks, the two hunted down the debtors to save their skins. Later on, they befriended the Legendary Chalice, a ghost that granted them new abilities to help them in their quest. Eventually, the brothers grew powerful enough that Elder Kettle encouraged them to take on Old Scratch himself and free everyone of their contracts, a daunting task they completed successfully. On a later quest, they were enlisted by The Legendary Chalice, Ms. Chalice for short, to help her find a corporal body to inhabit permanently, thus starting another crazy quest that ended with the three as firm friends until the end.
* The Cup trio have an extensive history with The Pantheon. Initially, it was just Cuphead and Mugman, who ended up ascending after their scuffle with The Devil thanks to said escapade containing ''loads'' of references to cartoons of old. The brothers were more than happy to accept their title and settle down in this new realm, with Cuphead in particular just exited at the prospect of how much fun he could have and Mugman just hoping to go somewhere far away from The Devil, who he assumed was pissed at them and wanted revenge. Mugman's fears were justified, unfortunately: it didn't take long for The Devil and King Dice to find them and land a spot themselves, dedicated to taking revenge on the brothers. The two thankfully had more than enough allies to prepare themselves for anything he threw at them, with the bonus of a few of the debtors ascending and joining the brothers in fighting Old Scratch out of thankfulness. Eventually, the brothers decided to help get their friend Ms. Chalice into the Pantheon and bargained with the Court about her sharing their position, an arrangement they agreed to. And thus, Chalice arrived to the realm, and the three friends celebrated with a Day Of Fun.

* The Notorious Mental, real name Tah-Um, is an ancient being hell-bent on one simple goal: the complete domination of the galaxy and the extinction of anyone that doesn't worship him. Utilizing a humongous army of aliens he either recruited or enslaved, every hundred thousand years he'd periodically show up and attempt to purge the galaxy of intelligent life, with his previous attempt wiping out the Sirians and converting them into undead foot soldiers. His latest attempt started early when humanity accidentally woke him up, with Tah-Um proceeding to utterly decimate humanity when they tried fighting back. Not that they didn't put up a fight, mind you; it was here that Mental met Sam Stone, an exceptionally badass solider who could fight off hordes of his army with relative ease. He was chosen to go back in time before Mental wiped out humanity and kill him once and for all, a task that Mental caught on to and attempted to stop. Since then, Sam and Mental have taken turns at attempting to eliminate each other, and neither of them have any intent on stopping anytime soon.
* Mental was damn well aware of the Pantheon ever since Sam had ascended, and for just as long had toyed with the idea of invading and conquering so he can get even more powerful minions. That said, he's wise to the idea that The Pantheon is a WorldOfBadass filled with similarly powerful heroes, so his interactions with the realm amounted to him occasionally sending a Beheaded Kamikaze after Sam [[ForTheEvulz just for his amusement]]. Eventually, Mental decided to test the waters a bit and summoned a proper horde of his army to The Pantheon just to see what would happen. As he expected, it didn't go too well, as The Pantheon was fully aware of his threat and had prepared accordingly by setting up an ambush of heroes to counteract him, to say nothing about the plentiful amounts of badasses that deal with stuff like this daily. That wasn't why Mental attacked, however: his ''real'' goal was to get the attention of the more evil members of the realm and impresses them so that he can get himself a title and join the realm for real. Sure enough, it worked, and Mental now seeks to add The Pantheon to his collection of civilizations he's enslaved/destroyed.

* Special Relationships: '''[[Pantheon/OrderAndChaos Marzipan]]''' (His very On-Off girlfriend)
* [[PhraseCatcher Everyone loves Homestar Runner! He's a terrific athlete!]] More specifically, he's a well-known resident of the quirky state of Free Country, USA, and is considered its best (and only real) athlete. Generally a friendly, well meaning guy, his fairly lackluster intelligence and questionable way of thinking usually gets in the way of things, resulting in annoyance for some people he interacts with. Generally this involves Strong Bad, the local jerk that Homestar is convinced he's best friends with, though even his quote-unquote "girlfriend" Marzipan can find him quite insufferable, resulting in the two repeatedly breaking up. Other interests include him being the closest thing Free Country has to law enforcement, participating in Strong Bad's Dangeresque films as a variety of characters, hosting his own Email show that nobody knew existed, and generally just doing whatever comes to mind. [[DemotedToExtra While he's slightly less prominent these days thanks to Strong Bad]], overall it's hard to think of Free Country without Homestar: [[ProtagonistTitle his name's on the title after all]].
* Since his title series was massively influential for future {{Web Animation}}s, The Pantheon thought it appropriate to bring Homestar up to the realm. Having revived an invitation in the mail, Homestar gladly filled out the form and sent it back to the Pantheon, having mistaken the realm for some sort of "fancy vacation getaway". It wasn't until he arrived (okay, a whole day ''after'' he arrived) that he realized that he was chosen for godhood and so he went to the Court of the Gods to be properly ascended. Given the title of '''TheDitz''' thanks to his endearingly scatterbrained personality, he had his temple arranged and settled down, celebrating with a cool glass of Melonade. Shortly afterwards, he made arguments for his "friends" Strong Bad and Marzipan to ascend, having missed their company, with Bubs later joining the group on his own. Homestar generally spends his time getting into competitions, attempting to strike up conversations with his fellow gods, and generally just being an odd but nice fellow.
* Homestar might not seem like much on the surface, what with being a simpleton who happens to be good at sports, but his series had a huge impact on the entertainment side of the internet, with his long-spanning content influencing numerous modern web productions even if it doesn't seem obvious at first. With that, most gods originating from WebAnimation at least have respect for the man for shaping their existence, though for some of the more bloodthirsty ones, I.E the ones for Newgrounds, mostly just show this by simply not bothering him as much. In particular, fellow influencer and NiceGuy Fancy Pants Man seemed to hit it off with him instantly, and the two have frequently been seen hanging out and eating ice cream together.

* Shovelware Studios is a game company that specializes in VideoGame/{{Roblox}} games, starting out with [[StylisticSuck intentionally mediocre Obbys]] based off of existing properties before branching out to more legitimate games. Their most recent, as well as biggest, claim to fame is Shovelware's Brain Game, A game show hosted by the company's own CEO, The Dancing Banana, it's a trivia show where contestants have to answer questions of varying difficulty, mostly consisting of pop-culture references and quoting memes. Answering these questions correctly will occasionally earn the player with a wide variety of prizes almost all of which are of questionable quality. Combined with the studio audience consisting of very quirky fruits and veggies, to say nothing of the Banana's own eccentricities, the games tend to very chaotic and prone to interruption, which is precisely the reason why he and his show became so popular.
* The Banana's ascension came thanks to some bargaining with The Pantheon on his part: The Banana wanted to broaden his audience and came to the conclusion that a multi-dimensional realm was ''clearly'' the most sensible option. As such, he and his crew found the realm through [[NoodleIncident increasingly nonsensical methods]] and asked the Main House if he could film his show here. Brain Game was getting decently popular in The Pantheon due to its offbeat nature, so the Court agreed on the condition that he'd take the title of UndesirablePrize, considering the... less than quality prizes on display. While he didn't agree with the title, he bit the bullet and took it, and so quickly ascended his studio crew as heralds and set up a studio in the Pantheon, which currently also acts as his temple.

* What seems to be an unassuming, if out of place, castle is actually an elaborate death trap owned by the nefarious Pizzaface, apparently crafted to torment poor Peppino Spaghetti. What its true purpose is and why it was built is a mystery: some say it's a pizza joint meant to replace Peppino's own, others say its an ancient fortress, and some just say it was created solely to torture Peppino. Either way, Pizzaface used the threat of blowing up Peppino's Pizzeria with a death ray (That may or may not exist) to lure him into the Tower, forcing the Italian through five floors of levels designed to stress him out more than he already was. Ultimately however, Peppino was able to persevere, beating the snot out of Pizzaface and destroying the sentient Pillar John keeping the whole thing up, causing it to collapse on itself while everyone managed to get out. While Pizzaface managed to survive, Peppino assumed that it was the last he'd see of the Tower...
* ...Right up until Peppino moved to The Pantheon, where Pizzaface ended up following him to. Shortly after bothering both Peppino and a chunk of The Pantheon's residents, he discovered that he could ascend Domains as well, and without hesitation he requested that the Pizza Tower would be rebuilt and given '''EscapeSequence''', considering that every visit to is rooms tend to end in a mad dash towards the exit while the room crumbles around them. Since then, whenever Pizzaface gets bored with just challenging random people to a game of Pizza Time, he'll occasionally kidnap them and force them to run his bizarre gauntlet: beat every level and beat Pizzaface, you get to leave, die trying and fail, well tough luck. More than a few residents have been captured by Pizzaface, and while nearly all of them were skilled enough to escape, they all also end up knowing Peppino's pain.

* "Octodad" is a totally normal human and not at all an Octopus. More specifically, he's the clumsy but loving father of a Wife and two children, constantly forced to endure the trials of everyday normal human life: getting ready for work, cooking for his children, going to the supermarket, fighting off a psychotic chef that thinks he's a spy for an army of evil fish... the usual things a normal human has to deal with. Despite the stress of it all and his almost comically clumsy personality, Octodad proves to be a good dad to his kids and just wants them to be happy, as all normal humans should...
** ...Ok, let's just cut the crap already: The human some call Octodad is actually an Octopus who, fascinated by humanity, decided to disguise himself as one to live a human life. The problems immediately arose when it became apparent that humans generally need bone structure to properly do anything, resulting in stuff like "getting milk off the counter" becoming a herculean task that destroys the surrounding environment. Doesn't help that the aforementioned Sushi Chef can see through his disguise and is hellbent on killing him, thinking he's a spy working for some fish army. Despite all that, and his disguise just consisting of him being in a suit, he's managed to fool basically everyone he meets, to the point that he managed to get married and have two kids. Him being a loving father still stands as well: when the sushi chef kidnapped his family, Octodad risked exposing his secret to save them, ending in him making peace with the Chef and his family finding out his secret. They ultimately still accepted him afterwards, and Octodad continued his life as a "normal" human, albeit not without some questions (like how his kids were born).
* His ascension itself came in the form of a disguise, as an innocuous voucher for a free vacation. Nobody in Octodad's family remember anyone entering a contest, but hey, free vacation, so they followed its directions to their destination. A few hours later, they found themselves in a realm filled with deities and supernatural realms, and while they were obviously taken aback by their vacation home, they were able to adapt and set themselves up a house. Most deities didn't bat an eye at Octodad's ascension other than thinking why a normal human would get PaperThinDisguise, a title that immediately made Octodad panic and claim it was because his Halloween costumes were terrible, which most people bought. He eventually made a visit to the main house and discovered that, yes, they knew of his secret and invited him for precisely that reason. However, they were willing to keep it a secret and explain away the title, inviting Octodad to stay at The Pantheon. Ultimately, Octodad agreed and prepared for his new life as a "normal" human in a non-normal realm.
* As for how Octodad managed to pull off his disguise for as long as he has, that's an excellent question. His disguise, as pictured above, consists of nothing more than putting on a suit, positioning one of his tentacles as a mustache and standing up, and this combined with his clumsiness in actually standing up and doing the simplest task should be a dead giveaway. And yet, it works, as nearly everyone just sees him as a clumsy yet otherwise normal human, even fooling his own family for years before he was forced to reveal his secret. The only people that were able to see through his secret were the chef, who was dismissed as crazy, and his own daughter Stacy, who never pointed it out because she though it was common knowledge. This inexplicably continues into the Pantheon, at least to an extent: most normal deities, even smarter ones, seem to be fooled by his disguise and see him as nothing more than another normal human that managed to get ascended. There are some that are able to see through it however, such as its more eccentric deities, who seem to be able to see through it [[RuleOfFunny for some reason]], and some particularly powerful ones, who just flat-out counter his strange aura, but they're either dismissed as crazy or they don't really care enough to expose his secret, to his relief.
* Thanks to his disguise, most of the realm just know him as a curiously clumsy but otherwise normal father just trying to live life in a world as hectic as The Pantheon. What's also known is that, in spite of said clumsiness, he's a pretty damn good dad to his kids, willingly going out of his comfort zone (AKA pretty much everything) to make them happy. While it has the bonus effect of warding off suspicion, really he just wants what's best for his children. Thanks to this, one of the first people he befriended was Goofy, an even more bumbling father that's nonetheless dedicated to being the best dad he can to his son, Max, even if he does end up embarrassing himself alot. The two were very quick to bond over the difficulties of fatherhood and often share stories about their shenanigans trying to raise a family. He and George Jetson also hit it off for similar reasons, though George's problems were more from not thinking through plans and a lousy job than clumsiness. Octodad's a bit more wary on Homer Simpson due to his more reckless actions, but ultimately see's him as a well-meaning guy that's trying to survive a hectic family, so he overall doesn't mind his company. None of them know about Octodad's secret by the way, though Homer swears there's something strange about Octodad but can't put his finger on it...

* [[ArcWords Somewhere in Nevada]], there's a man being hunted down by an entire organization. This man, Hank J. Wimbleton, is shrouded in mystery, starting from the time he killed 30 people over a boombox. After killing one of their figureheads, The Sheriff, his sheer skill in killing droves of faceless enemies resulted in an entire organization, the Agency Against Hank Wimbleton, to be formed by the shadowy figures that run Nevada with an iron fist, with the sole goal of killing Hank. Time and time again, Hank has both bested their attempts at his life while also losing his own to countless supernatural beings, from the insane Tricky the Clown to his rival, Jebus, only to be revived by even more mysterious forces to fight another day. Hank keeps fighting and killing despite all of this, doing what he does best for a chance to escape the madness once and for all.
* Hank made his presence known in The Pantheon in his own way: by suddenly finding himself in a HYDRA base, with it becoming very clear that there was an intruder in the base and sending in their men to deal with the intruder. What followed was Hank slaughtering his way through hundreds of mooks in egregiously violent ways, utilizing anything he can get his hands on: guns, batons, pipes, urinals, severed heads, nothing was off the table. Eventually he managed to find his way out, only to find himself in a realm that very obviously wasn't Nevada, and later after some wandering was summoned to the Main House after they had heard about his stunt with HYDRA. While Hank was known to be reckless, even he knew fighting his way out of this was an awful idea and agreed to simply stay in The Pantheon, figuring he can at least get some goddamn peace and quiet. That wish wasn't gonna last however, as not only did the AAHW arrive alongside their leader, The Auditor, so did Tricky and Jebus, all in quick succession. This made some think that Hank's ascension wasn't just random and had been part of some sort of plan...
* Hank spends most of his time in The Pantheon fighting off either whatever the AAHW can throw at him, or Tricky the Clown trying to fight him again. Occasionally he'll find himself in a scuffle with his rival Jebus, who sees Hank as a force of chaos that must be stopped. Other than that, Hank at least tries to mind his own business, doing comically mundane things such as hanging out at a park or buying food. That said, it does not take a lot to set Hank off on a killing spree, resulting in a bloody mess and Hank either surviving and going on his merry way, or dying and having to be resurrected again. Occasionally he's been seen doing mercenary work for the sake of bloodshed, but considering how badly [[VideoGame/MadnessProjectNexus2 his last merc gig went]], most are understandably hesitant to hire him unless they give ''very'' specific instructions. Most notably, while he's made his share of acquaintances, he doesn't see any of them as real "friends", thinking of people in general as more tools to take care of, though he'll work together with someone without complaint if the situation calls for it.

* At first glance, Pilgor the Goat seems like your run-of-the-mill derpy Goat living in either Goatville or Goat City Bay. That couldn't be farther from the truth however, as whenever she feels like it she leaves her owner to go on an adventure, revealing that she's armed with a super strong tongue, absurd amounts of strength and complete invulnerability to anything thrown at her. With these abilities, her adventures tend to involve her smashing and headbutting everything nearby for points, or at least doing some sort of wacky activity that ''also'' ends in everything wrecked. Including the aforementioned cities, these include starring in a janky MMO, accidentally starting the zombie apocalypse, joining a gang to prank everyone, and even going to space to fund a "crowd-kicker" campaign. Recently, Pilgor found herself in the vast, eccentric city of San Angora, and proceeded to do her usual thing but with the additional goal of pimping out her personal "Goat Tower", eventually proceeding to break the very game she inhabited. [[RunningGag Again]].
* The Goat's arrival to The Pantheon was a familiar sight to her: being delivered alongside a trip of other goats by a farmer that was rambling on about "game mechanics" and "Skyrim references" or something, dropping her and her kin off at a nearby pen with a tower on it. It wasn't long until the surrounding area was soundly trashed by Pilgor, who set up a Goat Tower, turned into a Pig, and then proceeded to slip-slide into everything and everyone, ending with a nearby Gas Station being blown to smithereens. Naturally, the Pantheon decided to investigate this and started with the Farmer that delivered Pilgor, who spilled the beans: he was actually a game designer who created San Angora as a playground for Pilgor, only for the goat to thank him by beating the crap outta him before he could finish the final boss, resulting in the game getting wrecked. He had brought Pilgor to The Pantheon so he can finally get rid of her and program in peace. The Pantheon decided to accept their new role of safekeeping this goat and reluctantly gave her a title, with the farmer understandably happy that he doesn't have to deal with Pilgor anymore.
* Pilgor treats The Pantheon like she does any other location she visits, that is to say a playground for her to smash up and have wacky adventures in. Pilgor often wanders The Pantheon, looking for things to destroy or people to harass, and as such is considered one of the more consistently destructive gods. The Pantheon's usually competent enough to stop her if she gets even more destructive, but usually it won't be long until she gets back up and continues her antics. Sometimes just finding her can be a pain, as she can morph into various other creatures dubbed "Goats", each with their own separate abilities and destructive powers. Most notably is that she actually has a temple to herself, the aformentioned Goat Towers, which are BiggerOnTheInside and are treated like a "Crib" that she puts souvenirs from her adventures from. Basically, if you can think of any scenario, chances are Pilgor has both done it and utterly wrecked it at the same time.
* Unfortunately for The Pantheon, Pilgor eventually found herself legitimate allies that would join in her shenanigans, naturally consisting of other, similarly destructive deities. While isn't the type to make her friendships known, she has gone out of her way to let them wreak some havoc, so evidently she shares some appreciation. One of her more notable allies is fellow troublesome animal The Unnamed Goose, a waterfowl notorious for pranking and harassing a small village out of nothing but amusement. While The Goose is less overtly destructive than Pilgor, it was more than willing to teach their new friend the art of stealing without anybody noticing, resulting in the two managing to steal entire towns worth of supplies and objects without anyone the wiser. Another group she was on good terms with are The Rabbids, a race of chaos-loving bunnies that obliviously wreak havoc in the name of having fun, and were instantly impressed by how hilarious they found Pilgor, even joining in on her rampages from time to time. Pilgor quickly found out that they also make excellent headbutting material, and thus often smacks the around whenever they appear. The Rabbids don't mind this at all, and if anything have set up entire competitions to see who can fly the farthest after getting kicked by Pilgor.
** For a particular incident, there was when she met The Wobblers, a race that was engaged in perpetual warfare with each other for fun. She was first acquainted with them when she randomly ran into one of their battles and started headbutting any Wobbler the goat saw, sending each of them flying quite the distance. Instead of getting upset, The Wobblers found it hilarious and afterwards kept inviting her to their wars so as to spice them up with her abilities, which surprisingly Pilgor kept accepting and arriving to bust up some Wobblers, even keep it varied by taking on different forms each time. One day, the Wobblers decided to spice things up by introducing Pilgor to their friend, The Rock of Ages, which was a sentient boulder with a history of smashing famous wars by being rolled down a hill. The Wobblers intended for this to only be used during their war and nothing else... only for, when the war started, Pilgor to jump atop the Rock and start steering it out into the greater pantheon, wreaking havoc and destroying as much as possible before she was eventually stopped by The Pantheon. Despite interrupting their games, Pilgor was forgiven remarkably quickly by The Wobblers and still invite her to their wars, though The Pantheon made them make sure Pilgor and The Rock weren't in the same room anymore after the stunt the two pulled.

* Atlas and P-Body are two robots made with one purpose: testing. You see, Aperture Science had a massive number of testing chambers that required two people to complete, and none of them were ever solved with humans. When the test-obsessed AI [=GLaDOS=] took over the Enrichment Center, she eventually came up with a solution: robots. Re-purposing a Core and Sentry Turret, [=GLaDOS=] created Atlas and P-Body to be the perfect test subjects, able to work together to solve any test she could throw at them. Over time, their partnership and human personalities grew closer and closer as well, to the point that [=GLaDOS=] couldn't pit the against each other when she tried to do so for fun, to her annoyance. Still, they were the perfect test subjects that she was looking for, so she eventually set them out on a real task: locate a vault filled with hundreds of preserved humans so she can use them for testing, having missed testing human subjects. Sure enough, Atlas and P-Body managed to complete this task, even using their more human personalities to open the vault. [=GLaDOS=], now not needing the two, blew up and shelved them... for a whole week before killing all of her new test subjects, forcing her to bring back Atlas and P-Body for a new task: find whatever was messing with her mainframe and kill it. Once again, the duo managed to overcome the obstacles in their quest and found and removed the source (A bird), with [=GLaDOS=] keeping them alive this time for future testing.
* And for a while, their lives were just more tests from [=GLaDOS=], who while bored with her immortal test subjects figured it'd be a waste not to use them for something. This kept going even after [=GLaDOS=], and the Enrichment Center alongside it, ascended to The Pantheon, with the AI getting more involved with the outer world. Thing is, being stuck inside the Center, she naturally had trouble actually ''doing'' anything with her newfound surroundings. That's where Atlas and P-Body, once again, come in: after putting them through, you guessed it, more tests to examine their potential, she had them sent out into The Pantheon to act as sort of "errand robots". What this means tends to change: sometimes she just needs some materials to maintain the center, sometimes she needs to meet with someone that caught her eye, ect. Whatever it is, she had Atlas and P-Body do it for her, with them often working together to accomplish said goal. This went on long enough that they were eventually given titles for themselves, having made a name for themselves though their teamwork. Due to lacking the maliciousness of their master, they've even managed to land a few friends along the way, albeit ones that wisely stay out of their jobs involving the murderous AI.
* For their relationship with those involved with Aperture Science that aren't [=GLaDOS=], it's a bit complicated. Hell, while they don't seem to have any real gripes with working with the AI, [=GLaDOS=] herself has made it clear she prefers human test subjects and finds using Atlas and P-Body for tests to be boring. Still, they are by far her most loyal creations and they're damn good at getting the job done, so she isn't gonna throw them away any time soon. With Chell, the test subject that caused much misery for [=GLaDOS=], they don't really interact much but are very aware of each other's presence and keep their distance, as Chell understandably doesn't trust the two and the duo were told to ''keep'' Chell out of Aperture so she wouldn't cause anymore chaos. Aperture's original CEO, Cave Johnson, found their concept both fascinating and personally frustrating: fascinating in the whole "using robots as test subjects" thing but frustrating in that he really should've invested in doing that first before his company went bankrupt. And of course, they don't get along with the Sentry Turrets, as while they work for the same boss this hasn't stopped them from being targeted by them during tests and the Turrets being destroyed in droves by them.
* As part of their role as the "Perfect Test Subjects", the duo are more "human" than most of the machines at Aperture, taking the form of emoting with each other. While this started out as simple waving and pointing, overtime this evolved into more expressive motions, up to even playing Rock-Paper-Scissors or even hugging each other in victory. This notably annoys [=GLaDOS=], who sees these antics as a waste of time, but despite this they remain loyal to her so she puts up with it. Besides, it gives her material to work on her iconic sarcasm. Most robots who developed human personalities find the two odd, as despite their sapience they're totally fine with doing [=GLaDOS's=] dirty work, but as said "dirty work" rarely involves anything like murder, which they aren't very good at, they tend to get along with other, similarly human robots like Johnny Five or Bastion, both war machines that developed sentience, though both are much more pacifistic. While the whole "working for a psychopathic machine" thing was a bit unnerving, they can see Atlas and P-Body aren't nearly as bloodthirsty as her and are just following orders, so they'll occasionally help them out so as to help them avoid [=GLaDOS's=] wrath. The two versions of the Detroit Android, Connor, have differing veiws on them: Deviant Connor has shown interest in the two for their human personalities and has considered convincing them to leave their boss, but knows his Machine variant is involved with them and doesn't want to get into conflict with him: meanwhile, said Machine Connor is often seen monitoring them, as he's allies with [=GLaDOS=] and making sure they don't go Deviant would be a good way to stay in her graces.

* Gristol Malik was the Gzesarevich of Grulovia and the son of Gzar Theodore Malik, who benevolently ruled over the country of Grulovia alongside their heroic War Minister, Maligula. That all changed, however, when the villain known as Ford Cruller, leader of the nefarious Psychic Six, declared war on the country, managing to kill Maligula and forcing the Maliks to flee the country. They were forced to roam the harsh and deadly earth up until the day that Theodore was on his deathbed, where he revealed to his son a secret: Maligula was still alive. Dedicated to restoring his country to its former glory, he infiltrated the Psychonauts as the mailman "Nick Johnsmith" and worked his way up the company in secret, up to replacing the brain of the head of the organization, Truman Zanotto, and from there he manipulated the naïve newcomer Razputin Aquato into bringing Ford Cruller back to sanity and reawakening Maligula, all to save the country he loves.
** [[UnreliableNarrator Well, that how he says it went down]]. In reality, Grulovia was a dystopia ran by an incompetent, greedy ruler that was HatedByAll, and Gristol was an equally apathetic RoyalBrat who sat around all day and ate Caviar. When Theodore fled the country to avoid the wrath of Maligula, who was actually a bloodthirsty psychopath who Ford wanted to stop from destroying anything else, the family took refuge in the Lady Lucktopus Casino, where they spent the rest of their life in luxury, albeit with less caviar than usual. Gristol, however, wanted to go back to when he didn't need to do anything to get what he wanted, and so infiltrated the Psychonauts and replaced Truman's brain with his own, planning to revive Maligula and restore his country so that he can resume his lazy lifestyle. Thankfully, Raz was able to banish Maligula into the depths of the mind of her original identity, Lucrecia Mux, and he was exposed and arrested for his crimes.
* You can thank Bill Cypher for his current ascension. The story is that he has recently discovered the existence of the Psychonauts, and recognized that a whole organization of psychics that could easily mentally block and combat him was a potential threat to his plans, especially now that two members of the organization are already in the Pantheon. It wasn't long until he found out about Gristol, who despite not being psychic nearly managed to destroy the organization and revive a long-incapacitated threat by manipulating them in secret. That alone intrigued the All-Seeing Eye, but what really caught his attention was how he foolishly thought that he could control an homicidal force-of-nature without even considering the possibility that she would betray him, leading Bill to deduce that, for all of his brilliance, he was very likely gullible enough to manipulate. With that, he contacted Gristol in his dreams and told him about both his plans and the Pantheon, promising to help rebuild Grulovia "better than ever" if he just helped him with a few things. Gristol, as Bill predicted, immediately took up his offer and ended up ascended to the Pantheon, taking on the title of SelfServingMemory and ready to take revenge on the Psychonauts.
* Many, ''many'' gods compared Gristol to the infamous young king Joffrey Baratheon, a despicably cruel RoyalBrat that was a dangerous combination of petty cruelty and complete incompetency. The same gods often semi-joke that Joffery was what Gristol would've become had he successfully restored and ruled over Grulovia. There is a key difference between the two, with that said: Joffery is shown to be both mentally unstable and a massive idiot, yet Gristol, while not exactly sane, is more rational and is capable of making competent schemes. This didn't stop the Gzesarevich from noticing the nutjob and decided to strike up an alliance with the kid, confidently claiming that he could resonate with him despite his reputation for being dangerously unpredictable. So far, the alliance hasn't gone ''too'' bad for either party, with both currently plotting ways to get revenge on their respective enemies, Joffery's unpredictable insanity and Gristol's tendency to underthink his plans have made most gods confident that the alliance would fall eventually.

* As told via a puppet show, The Gunstringer was a cowboy used to run with a gang of criminals, until the faithful day that they decided to betray the Gunstringer, killing him [[ForTheEvulz for seemingly no reason]]. Unfortunately for them, the experiments of one member ended up resurrecting him as an undead skeleton, who upon remembering his old gang set off on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge against them. The undead cowboy traversed the strange and bizarre Wild West in search of his targets, tracking them down and destroying everything they own before killing them himself. After a long and grueling journey involving Ninjas, zombies and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Wavy Tube Men]], he finishes off the last member, the Lady of The Dead, and bows to the audience in victory.
** ... Only to realize that the photo he used to track down his gang was ripped horizontally. Finding the missing piece, he remembered that there was one member left: ''The Player themselves''. Immediately knowing what to do, he scares off the audience and [[RageAgainstTheAuthor shoots up the theatre crew in order to escape]], hitching a ride on a dog and continuing his quest for vengeance.
* Eventually, the undead puppet was able to track down where his target was, discovering a strange realm called The Pantheon, as well as discovering that his target was referred to as (Insert Name Here). Upon entering, he immediately tried fighting his way towards them, attempting to cause a ruckus in order to scare them out of hiding, just like the other members. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that he bit off more than he can chew, as the realm turned out to be populated by being leagues more powerful than him, and before he knew it he was in front of the Court of the Gods, being demanded to explain himself. Figuring out how the realm works and realizing an opportunity, he tells his story and ended up getting invited to stay at the realm thanks to it, albeit as long as he doesn't pull a stunt like that again. Now, armed with the title of '''ResurrectionRevenge''', he continues to plan his next move against his adversary, as well as [[AndThenWhat figure out what to do afterwards]].

* The Fall Guys are a race of beanlike creatures who exist to do one thing: compete in 60 player battle royale styled party games until one player comes out victorious. Most of these games involve the Guys racing each other through obstacle courses filled with traps, though occasionally they'll also play soccer or collect items. At the end of each game, the contestants stand in a giant square structure filled with cubicles, and the losers would be ejected from said cubicles into a pachinko machine below, eliminating them. This process repeats until only one Bean remains.
* This peculiar method of eliminating players is how they discovered the Pantheon. A seemingly normal day for the realm was suddenly interrupted by a bunch of beanlike creatures raining from the sky, nearly landing on a few bystanders. After the raining stopped, the Guys, [[MadeOfIron who were completely unharmed by the fall]], were just as confused as everyone else was. As it turned out, these were the eliminated contestants of the nearby game, which just so happened to take place above the Pantheon. After a quick visit to the court explaining their situation, they were allowed to stick around with the title of '''EjectTheLoser''', as long as they were more careful with where their games were from then on.

* Smoke is an anthropomorphic puff of cigarette smoke who lives for one thing: tempting others, particularly teenagers, into indulging in the world of substance abuse. He would find and befriend the first sorry sap he saw, getting on their good side before using his charm and peer pressure to tempt his victims into taking drugs. One such teen was Micheal, a otherwise normal boy that would nearly fall to Smoke's manipulations, wanting to be seen as "cool" by the other kids. Luckily, a batch of cartoon characters would come to life and take Mikey on an journey on why DrugsAreBad, successfully convincing Micheal into rejecting Smoke and literally throwing him in the trash, where he would swear he would be back as he was being taken away.
* A bit after that embarrassing incident, Smoke would discover the Pantheon, a realm filled with {{Odd Job God}}s, fantastical locations, and as far as Smoke was concerned, more opportunities to spread his influence. Managing to infiltrate the place, he immediately got to work, tricking and convincing numerous young deities into smoking marijuana and other dangerous substances. He was able to convince a decent amount of gods before the Court of the Gods wised up and located him, demanding that he explains who he is and why he's here. After [[BlatantLies a series of impressively false claims]], where he claimed he was only trying to make people "get along" and meant no harm, the evil gods found it impressive how he was basically everything wrong with drugs in one smarmy package, and gave him a title and temple to stay. Needless to say, he was overjoyed at the idea of more victims than ever.
* ...That was, until Smoke then found out about one tiny detail he missed: the fact that ''nearly every one'' of the cartoons that thwarted his plans in the first place, save for ALF and The Chipmunks, was already in the pantheon, and were the real versions of the characters to boot. To make matters worse, the two characters that weren't living merchandise, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, remembered Smoke and warned the real versions of who he was and how dangerous he could be. It didn't stop at them, either: Michealangelo later told the rest of the TMNT about Smoke, and Slimer warned the Ghostbusters about him. Long story short, he now has to deal with not only the same people who stopped them, but their friends as well.
** There was a few other toons that opposed drugs as well, and naturally found themselves opposing Smoke. One of the Planeteers worst villains, Venrminous Skumm, peddled drugs to teenagers, which ended up killing Linka's cousin Boris. Pinky and The Brain one time aborted a scheme to TakeOverTheWorld because it involved encouraging kids to smoke, which Brain was firmly against. Both parties took notice of the cloud and vowed to put an end to his peddling. While Smoke isn't particularly scared of Pinky and Brain, he ''is'' worried about the Planeteers considering that they have both a powerful superhero and a literal earth god on their side. Long story short, Smoke realized that his life was about to get a lot trickier from now on.
* Initially, thanks to the infamy of his original PSA and how poorly he was treated during it, most gods dismissed Smoke as a harmless joke, which made it hard for him to find proper allies in the realm. It didn't take long, however, for Smoke to realize this and decided to up his game, and he knew the perfect place to start: y'see, Russian mobster The Son was still smuggling drugs in the pantheon, despite his initial death involving him getting high off of them and slaughtering his own men before killing himself, clearly having not learned his lesson afterwards. With that, Smoke decided to befriend the mobster, acting as a courier for his drug operation so he can get closer to him. After a bit of work, he ended up tricking The Son into getting once again addicted to his own supply, which predicably ended with him once again slaughtering his own men while on a bad trip, only this time he ended up surviving and had realized what he had done. Ever since then, the Pantheon has taken Smoke a bit more seriously thanks to him showing what just a little manipulation and temptation can do, with the Son in particular wanting his head for his crimes against his own men.
* The whole Son incident ended up being even more beneficial to Smoke than he realized, as it gathered the attention of one of his rivals, Diavolo. He had his men approach the vice and offer him a job of smuggling and delivering drugs for him. While Smoke was suprised that anyone would trust him after taking out the Son, he figured that Diavolo was a dunce and agreed out of curiosity. It didn't take long for him to realize just why Diavolo was so confident he could trust him: he was a massive recluse with a powerful stand that could kill you without even trying. This made Smoke a bit more nervous about working for him, but he admitted that the extra protection and the pay he gets makes it worth it. Unfortunatley for him, his alliance ended up attracting the attention of Bucciarati's Gang, a group of benevolent gangsters that were firmly opposed to Diavolo and his associates, all of whom also had powerful "Stands" that could easily kill him. He generally lets his allies take care of them while he [[DirtyCoward runs for the hills]].
* Recently, Smoke has found himself visiting The Devils Casino, which is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin

* 'Splosion Man is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: A humanoid creature that can blow himself up, using this to propel himself into the air. Having been created in a lab, he immediately busted out and went on a rampage, blowing up everything from the equipment to the scientists working there, tackling harrowing platforming challenges along the way. Shortly after beating the Meatenstien, the scientists managed to re-capture him using cake, only to accidentally create a whole new problem: Ms. 'Splosion Man, a much more talkative yet equally loony being who immediately set out to rescue the original. Upon rescuing him, they fell in love and got married, beating the crap out of a few more scientists (And Meatenstien, [[UnexplainedRecovery who somehow came back]]) and fleeing, ready to cause more explosive chaos together.
* Seeing as the two were chaotic nutjobs who blew stuff up just for the hell of it, it's rather unsurprising that their introduction to the Pantheon involved them running around the realm and blowing up whatever they could find for fun, with some deities being sent out to contain the new creatures. What wasn't expected was the two's rather creative use of ExplosionPropulsion, using their self-destructing abilities to escape and outmanuver their persuers while causing more property damage at the same time. Eventually, the two were lured into the Court of the Gods using some cake and meat as bait, and were told to explain themselves and their deeds. The more talkative of the two, Ms. 'Splosion Man, stepped up to explain their story, which [[TalkativeLoon didn't take long before it descended into unrelated nonsense about Backstreet Boys and cheese]]. Eventually, it was decided that the two would take up '''ExplosionPropulsion''' as a title due to their creative use of explosions, on the condition that they behave themselves and don't go on another rampage like that again.
* Doesn't really take a genius to figure out that the duo reside in the house of Explosives, where the two are happily welcomed. As it turns out, it was the residents of the house that arranged

* In the normally peaceful world of Animal Crossing, each holiday is accompanied by a certain visitor themed around that holiday, often to enforce it to the villagers: Christmas has Jingle, Thanksgiving has Franklin, Easter has Zipper T. Bunny, etc. The Halloween representative is Jack, the self proclaimed "Czar of Halloween" that visits the villages on Halloween so that he can collect candy from the villagers. If said villager has candy on them and gives some to him, he'll give them some Halloween themed furniture and be on his way. If one was not to give him any candy, then he'll play a trick on them as punishment, ranging from "harmless" to "mildly inconvenient". How he goes about this changes depending on the village: sometimes he'll have the villagers dress up as him to confuse people, other times he'll have a villager collect candy for him. Either way, his antics result in the villagers fear getting on his bad side, often having a lollipop on hand just in case Jack makes a visit.
* Since the Pantheon is home to more than a few AC villages, it's no surprise that Jack was fairly familiar with the realm before he properly ascended. As usual, each year he'd visit these villages to get candy and pay tricks on the villagers, occasionally recruiting them to collect candy for him. That said, Jack couldn't help but notice the much larger realm outside of the villages and constantly thought of how much more candy there was there. With that, one faithful Halloween he took a quick break from his duties and visited the Court of the Gods to make a case for himself joining, settling on [[PumpkinPerson Pumpkin People]] for obvious reasons. The court, themselves looking for someone to claim the title, agreed, and thus Jack was granted access to the rest of the Pantheon, to his delight. Ever since then, he's resumed his antics across the Pantheon, recruiting more people to help explore the vast realm in his quest for tricks and treats.
