1	Mordecai and Rigby coax Benson into letting them be judges for the Pie Contest being excited to try out a bunch of pies. But they ultimately regret the sheer amount of responsibility put upon them, until a strange animate pie called Promise Pie steps in and offers to take the burden off their shoulders.

4	* BigBadWannabe: Benson, as he wanted to make Mordecai and Rigby miserable, but when Promise Pie rises up, he pulls an EnemyMine with Mordecai and Rigby telling them how they must defeat Promise Pie.
5	* BigBad: Promise Pie.
6	* BittersweetEnding: Promise Pie is defeated, and the contestants are satisfied with Pops getting the ribbon. However, Mordecai and Rigby are now stuck cleaning up after the rampage, with the pie fair completely demolished and up in flames. Lastly, Rigby asks [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking what happened to all the free pies they could eat]].
7	* BreakTheCutie: Pops feels as though Promise Pie's rampage of devouring everyone is his fault, asking Mordecai and Rigby if his pie was so terrible that he started all this. Mordecai admits that his pie deserves to be recognized as the best, and thus Pops is the first contestant to be freed.
8	* BreakHerHeartToSaveHer: When Promise Pie eats Margaret, Mordecai frees her by being honest, loudly telling her how terrible her pie was.

12	* TheCameo: Scabitha back from "Crusin" makes a voiceless cameo as one of the contestants who got eaten up by Promise Pie and gets disqualified from the ribbon by Rigby for making her pie too soggy and neglecting to remove a bandage he found in it.
13	* CheatersNeverProsper: Muscle Man and Death -- and possibly many others -- threatened Mordecai and Rigby into giving them the first place ribbon. They all pay the price for this by getting eaten by Promise Pie, then being spat out and forced to go home empty-handed.
14	* CordonBleughChef: Except for Pops, Mordecai and Rigby admit that pretty much everyone's pies didn't taste much like pie but rather like buttcheeks, grease, hair or vomit.
15	* DealWithTheDevil: Mordecai and Rigby when they agree to release Promise Pie to relieve their duties as judges for the contest.
16	* EpicFail: As Mordecai puts it, somehow Margaret's pie tasted burnt ''and'' raw.
17	* GracefulLoser: Each of the contestants congratulates Pops when he wins.
18	* JerkassBall: Benson sadistically teases Mordecai and Rigby over how difficult their new task is, even suggesting ''glee'' in making the contestants miserable. Even after they rescue him from Promise Pie, [[UngratefulBastard he still yells at them for the mess]].
19	* KarmicJackpot: Pops is the winner, and not only did he cook the best-tasting pie, but he was also the only one who didn't threaten Mordecai and Rigby to give him the ribbon.
20	* LethalChef:
21	** Margaret, which is ironic since she is a line cook for a diner and should've been taught when is food safe and not safe to eat. Her pie looked and tasted the worst, and she doesn't know (or even realize) how horrible it is.
22	** Death's pie was just filled with a murder of crows.
23	* NeverMyFault: Benson shouts at Mordecai and Rigby for Promise Pie's rampage, even though it was his cruel insults that led to them going to Promise Pie for help in the first place.
24	* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: Mordecai and Rigby when they try to pry Margaret out of Promise Pie's grasp.
25	* SadisticChoice: Benson forces them between A) staying as the pie contest judges or B) get fired. Both choices are horrible as many people starting with Muscle Man and Death himself are threatening Mordecai and Rigby's lives to give them the 1st Place ribbon and getting fired should be obvious at this point.
26	* SupremeChef: Pops, as he won all of the last nine consecutive pie contests.
27	* UngratefulBastard: Benson still shouts at Mordecai and Rigby after they rescue him from Promise Pie, threatening them to fire them if they don't clean up the mess.
