!!Tropes
* AIIsACrapshoot: The robots turn on Phineas and Ferb... until Phineas presses the dance button on the robots' remote control, which causes the robots to begin dancing and sing the second part of "Phinedroids and Ferbots", and Phineas and Ferb join them as well.
* BaitAndSwitch: When the boys are about to create the robots, the camera pans over a complicated-looking Rube Goldberg contraption. After they scan their photos, the camera pans back to the contraption... until there's a ding and it zooms to a more compact cubical device.
-->'''Phineas:''' I'm so glad we tried out our ''new'' android-building device instead of using ''that'' old dinosaur.
* BlatantLies: Candace claims to know nothing about Stacy getting her ears pierced behind Dr. Hirano's back when she asks her about it.
* BreadEggsBreadedEggs: "They're my brothers and they're robots! They're ''bro''bots!"
* ChekhovsGag: While taking an elevator in the chimney to his spy lair, Perry [[SurpriseSantaEncounter runs into Santa Claus]]. Santa shows up again near the end of the episode, and ends up carting away Dr. Doofenshmirtz's giant magnet.
* ChekhovsGun: The work/dance remote comes in handy later on to stop the Phinedroids and Ferbots from attacking Phineas and Ferb.
* ConsultingMrPuppet: Candace discusses her plans to expose the bro-bots to her mom with a ratty old teddy bear named Mr. Miggins.
* ContinuityNod: Candace acknowledges 19 other attempts to bust Phineas and Ferb. This is the second part of the 10th episode. At two attempted bustings per episode, this is indeed #20 for the series.
* DynamicEntry: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]. Perry enters Doof's apartment through the front door via a key he gave him. Doof thanks him for his consideration and says he prefers when Perry doesn't leave a hole in his ceiling.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Santa looks very different from how he appears in the second season Christmas special. Plus, he is voiced by Creator/DanPovenmire instead of Creator/ClancyBrown.
* EmbarrassingVoicemail: Doofenshmirtz plans to hover over his girlfriend's house with a huge magnet so he can erase embarrassing messages he left on her voicemail.
* FailedASpotCheck: Though the robots disappeared, neither Candace nor Linda bother to see the robot making machine in the garage, which still stood by episode's end.
* TheGhost: We never get to see Doof's new girlfriend (if she even ''was'' his girlfriend), only her house.
* LackOfEmpathy: Candace is too focused on her latest busting schemes to pay attention to Stacy when she's in intense pain after getting her ears pierced, ending the phone call as fast as she can.
-->'''Candace''': Poor mixed-up Stacy.
* OverlyLongScream: Candace screams all the way from the backyard to the panic room.
* PopCulturePunEpisodeTitle: The title is a reference to the Creator/IsaacAsimov short story collection, ''Literature/IRobot''.
* RobotMe: The plot of the episode involves Phineas and Ferb building robots of themselves to get more projects done.
* RottenRoboticReplacement: Phineas and Ferb decide to create a team of "Phinedroids and Ferbots" to do their creative ideas for them and save time. The robots end up being extremely efficient, doing multiple ideas in a single day and taking the fun out of everything for the boys, then running out of projects and designing their own, then going haywire from drinking coffee and attacking the boys for trying to shut them down.
* SantaClaus: Joins Perry in the elevator. When Monogram informs Agent P that Doof has made a lot of phone calls, Agent P points to the chimney-vator and Monogram confirms he is not calling Santa. ("See, Carl? ''That's'' why I don't like using the chimney-vator. Besides, that guy totally owes me a pony from when I was five.") Later, he appears in his sleigh on an apparent summer run.
-->'''Doofenshmirtz''': Bah, humbug.
* TheScream: Candace lets out a long, panicked yell all while she is running to the panic room. She lets out another when she realizes the Ferbot in the bag was replaced with a bag of manure without knowing.
* ShoutOut: When the robots start becoming self aware, Phineas says, "Have we learned nothing from Creator/MaryShelley's ''Literature/{{Frankenstein}}''?"
* TheStinger: When Linda wants to show off the pictures again. A picture of Candace slips out of her hands and floats into the garage, landing on the scanner. The robot-building device makes a robot of her image. Candace freaks out again shouting "It's a Candroid!" running in circles around her mom and the boys. She runs back into the panic room. The Candroid is already there, clutching Mr. Miggins, and Candace reclaims it from the Candroid telling her to give it back.
* ThereWasADoor: Subverted, in that Perry actually uses the key Doof gave him to open the door. Doof even states, "It's much more civilized than crashing through my ceiling, don't you think? Yes."
* UncomfortableElevatorMoment: Perry has one when he gets in the elevator and Santa Claus joins him.
* TheVoiceless: The Phinedroids and Ferbots don't speak, outside their music number when in dance mode. Ferb himself also doesn't say a word.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse:
** The Phinedroids and Ferbots are disposed of, but the Candroid is still around by the end. We also don't know what happened to the stray Ferbot which was taken by the garbage truck. Though, TheStinger for the episode shows Candace encountering the Candroid in the panic room.
