5	* BadImpressionists: Rad and Enid use a megaphone system to imitate Darrell's voice to trick the other robots into doing ridiculous things. The bots fall for the ruse despite neither Rad nor Enid making a terribly convincing effort to sound like Darrell (and it's particularly inexcusable in Rad's case because ''he and Darrell share a voice actor.'')
6	* BigBrotherIsWatching: Mr. Gar has installed surveillance cameras all over the Plaza, including some at Boxmore, complete with two-way speakers. The crew end up watching the Boxmore feeds [[DocumentaryEpisode like a TV show]], and use the speakers to mess with the robots.
7	* BrokenBase: InUniverse; the bodega crew fight over who's the best on the Boxmore show. Enid likes Raymond the best because she thinks he's the OnlySaneMan of him, Shannon and Jethro, Rad likes Shannon the best because he thinks she's a JerkWithAHeartOfGold (and possibly because [[Recap/OKKOLetsBeHeroesS1E31RadLikesRobots he still has a crush on her]]), and K.O. likes Jethro the best because he thinks he's "the cute little guy [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall the whole thing revolves around]]".
8	* CallBack: Enid claims the only reason Rad sides with Shannon in the contest is because of his "weird little crush on her", referencing the events of "[[Recap/OKKOLetsBeHeroesS1E31RadLikesRobots Rad Likes Robots]]".
9	* ContinuityNod: Just before Mr. Gar scolds his employees, he says "YOU DISAPPOINTED ME" the same way Enid imagined he would in "[[Recap/OKKOLetsBeHeroesS1E4WeMessedUp We Messed Up]]".

15	* NotSoAboveItAll: Mr. Gar scolds the others for watching the Boxmore surveillance feed like it was a TV show... then mentions that the show went downhill since Lord Boxman left, implying that Gar had been following the "show" as closely as his employees had. When the others express annoyance at this, Gar sheepishly admits that he just couldn't resist.

17	** The episode opens with the Boxmore robots attacking the Plaza, only to fight each other over who gets to do it, and end up destroying each other. Lampshaded by Enid when she said that the robots did all their fighting for them.
18	** Later on, Rad tricks Ernesto into [[TooDumbToLive turning himself to ashes]] by hijacking the "show" and telling the robots that the next challenge is in the Boxmore incinerator.
19	* TakeThat: The episode pokes fun at trashy and exploitative reality shows that get people hooked.
20	* ThereCanOnlyBeOne: Darrell is giving the others challenges to see who gets to be Senior Deputy, saying at one point that there can only be one.
