Go To

Marcus Tate, the leader of the African-American Congress (AAC) organization, is assassinated. One of the suspects is Marcus Koblin, a Jewish teacher. He is separated from his wife who works at the AAC office. The detectives find that he was the one who encouraged her to get a job there but eventually became jealous of the men working there. This led to their divorce. He is taken to trial and found not guilty with suspicions turning toward Roland Books (Creator/JoeMorton), who eventually takes over leadership of the organization.
!!Tropes present in this episode:
* AngryBlackManStereotype: Otis is the character that meets this stereotype the most strongly, though given that there are several MalcolmXerox characters, this could also be used to describe others.
* CategoryTraitor: Mrs. Tate accuses Robinette of this several times when the prosecutors start examining her husband's murder as a conspiracy from within the AAC.
* ConspiracyTheorist: The SchiffOneLiner at the end of this episode references this trope:
-->'''Schiff:''' The beauty of conspiracy. Hell, blame it on the CIA. They haven't been fingered in years.
* MalcolmXerox: Tate was a moderate version, while Books represents a straight example.
