1The framed, disgraced and imprisoned Budoh is broken out by his two remaining Majin: Yamimaru and Onimaru, who seek to prove his innocence. For that purpose, he intends to draw back the Lights of Ginga from the Gingaman, but Zahab and Illies send Medoumedou to hunt him down. As the three-way conflict rages on, the Gingamen must save Ryoma from Budoh's scheme. Will Budoh's iron will and determination prevail?

4* ADayInTheLimelight: A large bulk of the episode's plot focuses on Budoh and his quest for redemption.
5* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: With either dying in a duel or by execution for a crime he wasn't guilty of, Budoh opts to go down in a blaze of glory in one last duel against Ryouma.
6* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Onimaru places a spell called the Art of Deception onto Ryouma that causes the latter to see everyone as an enemy and go on a rampage. It takes Hayate and Gouki's interference to stop him before he kills someone.
7* DrivenToSuicide: Subverted. While Budoh was offered the chance of committing seppuku, he refuses to do so.
8* DuelToTheDeath: Budoh engages Ryouma in one once he discovers he won't be able to go back to Balban, fighting him one-on-one with Girasame against Ryoma's Light Blade. He loses.
