It later turns out that the course the groups get transported to was built by the Scottish druids as a way to continue playing the game in secret.
37	** After Glomgold bribes Louie to be his caddy, and Louie casually agrees since he figures he might as well get paid while being bored, Glomgold gloats to Scrooge that his own nephews are abandoning him and soon there will be no one left to support him. How right he was.

Later, Scrooge becomes openly jealous of Dewey's natural talent over him, and Dewey calls Scrooge out on never supporting him.
