3	With the secret location of the hidden city of Attilan being threatened, Maximus opts his brother Black Bolt, the king of the Inhumans, to stop hiding and return to Earth for their rightful home. After being turned down one too many times, Maximus decides to take the power for himself, which leaves the Inhuman Royal Family stranded and seperated on Earth after escaping their treacherous relative.

7	* AbhorrentAdmirer: Whether because of his personality or because he's human, Medusa finds his declaration of love disgusting.
8	* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Medusa doesn't return Maximus's affection.
9	* ApologeticAttacker: Maximus has a remorseful facial expression for most of the time while staging his coup.
10	* ArbitrarySkepticism: After the lunar rover is inexplicably destroyed, there are four pulses of energy from the rover's last location that create a trajectory toward the island of Oahu. Louise sees that these are obviously related, her boss doesn't.

18	* DidntSeeThatComing: Maximus's betrayal and uprising, as discussed by Maximus himself to Black Bolt who should have known. But he didn't because he completely underestimated him. Of course, due to being TheQuietOne, we don't know for sure.

20	** Though it's later stated that the more he teleports (and at that covering all the distance between Earth and the Moon) the more he tires and gets sloppy.
