Production has officially started for ''Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life'', a biography "written" by Young Neil, who doesn't even remember writing it. The actor hired to play Scott? Lucas Lee, Ramona's second Evil Ex.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Lucas accuses the movie of writing Ramona as this, as judging by his own experience he presumes that once the Evil Exes were all defeated, she'd soon move on from Scott like she did her last 7 partners.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: After his agent cuts ties with him, Lucas compares himself to a show that's been taken off the air. He then turns to the audience and wonders if there's a word for it.
* TheCameo:
** The Torontowood security guards are voiced by Creator/SimonPegg and Creator/NickFrost, who are frequent collaborators with Edgar Wright.
** Creator/KirbyHowellBaptiste provides the voice for Lucas Lee's angry agent.
* ADayInTheLimelight: For Lucas Lee. Most of the episode focuses on his skateboarding antics, his time working at Torontowood Studios, and his relationship with Ramona.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Lucas is already in hot water and about to lose his job, so doing something as risque as dating a high-schooler at his adult age is on grounds of "career suicide". The news shows him making moves on an actress that plays Knives Chau. [[OlderThanSheLooks She is actually 31]], according to Lucas, but that doesn't stop the ninja paparazzi from trying to take advantage of this news. (This doubles as a bit of LeaningOnTheFourthWall; Ellen Wong, who played Knives in the film adaptation and this series, is three years older than Creator/MichaelCera.)
* {{Hammerspace}}: Ramona is able to sneak Lucas past the paparazzi by hiding him in her bag. This gives us the hilarious imagery of his head sticking out of the tiny thing.
* MoodWhiplash: After a rather touching exchange with Ramona, Lucas proves that he's still a douchebag by pushing a little kid off of his skateboard and stealing it.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: The movie's director, Edgar Wrong, is an obvious caricature of Creator/EdgarWright, who directed the [[Film/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld film adaptation]] and serves as an executive producer for this series.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Knives' actress for the movie is, according to Lucas, 31 years old. She still looks enough like Knives that the media paints it as [[MistakenForPedophile Lucas dating a 17 year old.]] Ironically, Lucas is around 24, making ''him'' younger than her.
* OneManArmy: Lucas Lee takes out an entire horde of paparazzi in the episode's climax [[ImprobableWeaponUser with nothing more than a skateboard]].
* QuestionableCasting: In-universe, Lucas Lee gets cast to play Scott Pilgrim. The two look absolutely nothing alike, as Lucas Lee is about twice Scott's size and significantly more muscular, and he has ''entirely'' the wrong tenor to play a nerdy loser. This is PlayedForLaughs, naturally.
* ShoutOut:
** Several movie references can be found sprinkled throughout Torontowood Studios. There's a pink [[Franchise/{{Alien}} Xenomorph]], a ManEatingPlant a la ''Film/LittleShopOfHorrors'', and [[Film/ETTheExtraTerrestrial Elliott riding his bike]] (while being chased by hazmats), to name a few.
** During the paparazzi chase, Lucas crashes through a backdrop depicting a giant Scott head emerging from the ground, a parody of the iconic poster for ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''.
** Lucas's agent gives us this gem of a line:
--->'''Agent:''' Lucas, between your string of box office bombs and reports of your toxic skater boy behavior, this town's on the verge of saying… [[Music/AvrilLavigne "See ya later, boy."]]
* ShowWithinAShow: ''Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life'', a biographical film about Scott that, curiously enough, retells the events of the comics. Young Neil believes to have written it in his sleep, but it was really penned by a mystery person who wrote the full script while he was sleeping.
* SplitScreenPhoneCall: The episode features one between Lucas and his agent. The fourth wall starts to crack once they start treating the split screen like a ''physical barrier'' between them.
* TitleDrop: Lucas occasionally saying "whatever" throughout the episode.
