1	It's [=LaCienega=]'s quinceañera, and she's being even more of a diva than she usually is. Unfortunately for her friends, her cousin [=LaBrea=] pays a visit, stirring up even worse drama.
2	----
3	* AbusiveMom: Melrose towards [=LaBrea=]. She put far too much pressure on her, and wouldn't let her attend [=LaCienega=]'s quinceañera until she was skinnier than her ([=LaBrea=] wears four girdles during the episode to compensate). It's implied by Melrose that her and Sunset's mom was also abusive, and their rivalry started by her pitting them against each other.
4	* ADogNamedDog: The frog that [=LaBrea=] gives to [=LaCienega=] is named Sapo, which is Spanish for 'Toad'; as not everyone can tell the difference (frogs having lean, smooth skin while toads have warts), 'frog' and 'toad' are sometimes used for the same animal, and, in Spanish-talking countries, ''WesternAnimation/ThePrincessAndTheFrog'' is sometimes translated as 'The Princess and The Toad'.
5	* ADayInTheLimelight: This episode focuses on the Boulevardezes, with the Prouds taking the backseat.
6	* AmusementParkOfDoom: Snackland was already a dangerous place in its debut, but it returns here now having been permanently closed for good and even more dangerous than before with its abandoned rides falling apart. (It is implied that Freddy Frito got her way after all.)
7	* BilingualBonus: Sunset yells out "Mira, hypocrita! Dos caras, te voy a...!" to Melrose, which in Spanish translates to "Look, you hypocrite! Two faces, I'm going to...!"
8	* BigSisterBully: Melrose keeps giving Sunset a hard time about her parties not being lavish enough.
9	* BirthdayEpisode: Lacienega turns 15 in this episode and she's having a quinceañera to celebrate it.
10	* BitchInSheepsClothing: [=LaBrea=] is revealed as this in the final twist of the episode. At first, it seemed like [=LaBrea=] was a genuinely nice, innocent person and that [=LaCienega=] bullied her. However, all this time, [=LaBrea=] did horrible things to [=LaCienega=] in retaliation.
11	* ChekhovsGun: Penny was able to recognize [=LaCienega=] in the drone footage by her large feet, which was first explored in “Love Thy Neighbor” from back in the original series.
12	* ClashingCousins: The one person [=LaCienega=] hates more than Penny is her cousin [=LaBrea=], and they've been at each others' throats growing up.
13	* ElSpanishO: Just like the Boulevardezes, Avanúñez is a corruption of the word "Avenue" with "-ez" added at the end to make it sound Spanish.
14	* EnfantTerrible: In the flashback, [=LaCienega=] stealing [=LaBrea=]’s stuffed animal isn’t anything unusual for a toddler her age, but [=LaBrea=] getting [=LaCienega=] mauled by a flock of birds is a whole other level of deviousness for a toddler.
15	* EveryoneHasStandards: Penny's friends can usually be counted on to be self-serving and backstabbing in any given episode, but each of them are all horrified at the lengths [=LaBrea=] has gone to get rid of [=LaCienga=]. Michael even warns [=LaCienga=] not to trust her and Dijonay, for once, would've been justified on tattling about [=LaBrea's=] attempt at KillAndReplace.
16	* FantasyHelmetEnforcement: The posse needs to ride scooters to get to Snackland, but Zoey says they can't ride them without helmets. Conveniently and inexplicably, a man nearby is selling helmets from a stand on the street. Lampshaded by the stand being labeled "Standards and Practices Helmets".
17	* FormerlyFat: Subverted. [=LaBrea=] is shown in flashbacks to be on the chubby side, but in the present day she is skinny...until it's revealed that she wore four girdles to hide her figure because her mother wouldn’t let her come until she was skinnier than her cousin. After reconciling with [=LaCieniga=], the two are presented on stage together, with [=LaBrea=] showing her real figure.
18	* AFriendInNeed: Penny, Zoey, Dijonay, Maya, Michael, and KG prove themselves to be trustworthy friends to [=LaCienega=] despite her jerkassery. At the very least it was because [=LaBrea=]’s “prank” was just an unprecedented amount of fuckery they couldn’t stand for. They went out of their way to track where she was and rescue her from the tower.
19	* FreudianExcuse: Melrose explains that she put too much pressure on [=LaBrea=] because she went through a divorce. Also, [=LaBrea=]'s excuse for bullying [=LaCienega=] is that the latter was mean to her first.
20	* FreudianExcuseDenial: After receiving a Deathglare by Sunset, Melrose tells her that she can't be excused from her actions due to her divorce.
21	* GoodParents: At the end of the episode, Felix complains about how much money they've spent on the party but has a change of heart upon seeing how happy [=LaCienega=] is.
22	* GreyAndGrayMorality: As this episode shows, [=LaCienega=] and [=LaBrea=] each have equally good reasons to root for either well as reasons not to. [=LaCienega=] is mean and narcissistic to others, especially [=LaBrea=], but even she’s not barbaric enough to attempt to injure or kill someone. [=LaBrea=] is ruthless and willing to get rid of her cousin, but it’s for very understandable reasons such as [=LaCienega=] being mean to her. In both cases, they’ve had to grow up within the dysfunctional environment borne from their moms’ sides of the family, which has impacted their behaviors.
23	* HairReboot: After cutting it to free herself from the Tower of Doom, [=LaCienega=]'s hair (which had been styled into a curled updo) briefly looks choppy and disheveled but after shaking it, it goes back to the way it’s usually styled.
24	* ItsAllAboutMe: [=LaCienega=] as usual wants things done her way and becomes a diva about it, but her mom Sunset ends up exhibiting this more by trying to make the event all about her by overspending for expensive things without her daughter’s input every time Melrose criticizes her.
25	* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: An offscreen variation--sometime between the events of its debut episode and the events of this episode, Snackland got shut down and is now falling into disrepair.
26	* KillAndReplace: Jealous of both [=LaCienega=] getting a quince and her relationship with Melrose, [=LaBrea=] tried to get rid of [=LaCienega=] in a desperate bid to take her life. The rest of the kids lampshade just how crazy this is.
27	* LethallyStupid: Dijonay tries to help by pulling the lever to Suga Mama’s Drop of Doom, but she only makes things worse by endangering [=LaCienega=] further and disables KG’s drone.
28	* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [=LaBrea=] tied [=LaCienega=] to a firecracker and sent her shooting off into the tower of doom at Snackland. When she realizes what she has done, she is honestly horrified and promises to make amends.
29	* NotNowKiddo / AdultsAreUseless: Trudy angrily tells this to Penny when she and KG have found [=LaCienega=]'s whereabouts.
30	* ParachutePetticoat: [=LaCienega=] ends up at the top of the defunct Drop of Doom in [=SnackLand=], but is saved by her poofy dress fanning out and slowing her fall.
31	* PimpedOutDress: While it's traditional for an event like a quinceanera, [=LaCienega=] and [=LaBrea=] both wear big poofy dresses.
32	* PunnyName: Continuing the LocationThemeNaming with the Boulevardez family, Melrose Avanúñez and [=LaBrea=] Avanúñez are named after other streets in Los Angeles - Melrose Avenue and La Brea Avenue.
33	* RememberTheNewGuy: Sunset's sister, Melrose, and Melrose's daughter (Lacienega's cousin and Sunset's niece), Labrea, are treated as such. Hard to say if [=LaBrea=] knows Sticky though, since she didn’t comment on his absence.
34	* SeriesContinuityError: In a flashback of La Brea that takes place a year before the episode, Micheal still has his current appearance instead of his old one. It's implied that this scene took place in between the events of the previous series and Louder and Prouder, as the new kid, Maya, hadn't met her before.
35	* ShoutOut: A freaked out Maya states that [=LaBrea=] is seriously channeling ''Film/SingleWhiteFemale'', with Dijonary following up with saying she was acting all Single ''Brown'' Female.
36	* SmolderingShoes: Subverted. When [=LaCienega=] fails to appear upon being announced, her smoking high heels gave the impression that she’s been vaporized when she’s merely been launched into the now-derelict Snackland.
