Eddy creates a scam where the kids are invited to a theater in Ed's garage that is screening a low-budget silent B-movie the guys made. However, it devolves into a massive food-fight between the kids in Ed's garage. All of a sudden, Ed arrives, and forcibly throws everybody out of the garage and even scares Sarah off, as he is absolutely livid. Throughout the episode, Double D and Eddy try unsuccessfully to find out why he's pissed off and calm him down.

!!"Little Ed Blue" provides examples of: ([[YMMV/EdEddNEddyS4E11LittleEdBlue YMMV goes here or there will be BIG TROUBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEE!]])
* AlwaysABiggerFish: Sarah being intimidated by Ed yelling back at her not only establishes just how uncharacteristically angry he is, but demonstrates how stronger he is than her and that if he isn't such an ExtremeDoormat to her, she wouldn't be constantly abusive to him.
* AxCrazy: Ed acts this way but only when he gets a pebble in his shoe.
* BewareTheNiceOnes:
** Ed. Holy ''shit'', Ed, overlapping with BewareTheSillyOnes and CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass.
** Also, at the beginning of the episode, we see ''Nazz'' socking Rolf across the room for trying to nab some of her popcorn.
* BigWordShout: '''''BIG TROUBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!'''''
* BullyingADragon:
** Not only are Eddy's attempts to make Ed cheer up of the more aggressive/rude variety (whereas Edd tries to be loving and social), but [[JerkJock Kevin]], who not only saw Ed scare Sarah off earlier, but is a whole head smaller than Ed and has seen his godly strength before, comes up with the [[SarcasmMode ingenious plan]] of pitching a baseball off Ed's head repeatedly with Eddy joining Kevin in the act. Needless to say, Ed beats him up...by using Eddy, [[GrievousHarmWithABody as a baseball bat]] against him no less.
** The biggest example of all here would have to be Eddy '''slapping Ed on the back''' while yelling at him to get over his bad mood already and it's by setting off Ed's RageBreakingPoint as a result of doing so that ''finally'' makes Eddy [[OhCrap realize he went too far with constantly provoking him]].
* TheBrute: Ed, who attacks and nearly kills anyone who gets in his way.
* ButtMonkey: Edd and Eddy, getting beaten up by Ed repeatedly for their troubles of trying to cheer him up. Although it's [[KarmicButtMonkey deserved on Eddy]] due to him being rather rude, forceful, ''and'' aggressive in his attempts.
* CooldownHug: This is the first thing Edd attempts in order to get Ed back to his cheerful self. Ed just pushes him away and threatens to squash him if he does it again.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint:
** When Double D and Eddy are gathering things to help cheer him up, like his favorite food and toys from his room, Eddy initially only fills the bag with random junk Ed keeps. When Double D shows him an example of a custom pudding skin he made for Ed since it is one of his favorite foods, Eddy sarcastically suggests they pack the "hundred-year-old sandwich" Ed keeps in his room.
** At the end of the episode once Ed is happy again after the pebble in his shoe is removed, Eddy starts LaughingMad from the experience they just went through over a pebble, and Ed remarks it looks like Eddy had a good day.
* DeathGlare: Ed gives Double D a [[MemeticMutation memetic]] one when he sits next to him and tries to cheer him up.
* DisasterDominoes: Rolf tries to swipe some popcorn from Nazz, but she retaliates by knocking him down. Eddy trips on Rolf while grabbing some popcorn and spills it on Jimmy, who wails in pain from the butter (substitute) stinging his eyes. Kevin makes a snide remark, earning him a soda to the face from Sarah. This leads to Kevin declaring a {{Foodfight}} and everything spirals into chaos from there.
* DisproportionateRetribution: The reason Ed became a ferocious psychopath is because HE HAS A PEBBLE IN HIS SHOE. He also attacks anyone that so much as comes within 6' of him. Best lampshaded by Edd:
-->'''Edd:''' ...a ''pebble?!'' Ed's bad mood was all because HE HAD A PEBBLE IN HIS SHOE?!!!
* TheDogBitesBack: Yes indeed. And Ed bites ''hard'' every time he is rudely bothered.
* EveryoneLaughsEnding: Subverted. Ed is the only one genuinely laughing, whilst Eddy has been driven LaughingMad.
* {{Fainting}}: Edd does this after Ed roars at him, and only comes to just before Jonny pulls Ed's shoe off.
* {{Foodfight}}: The kids get into a big one during the movie. Eddy is quick to cash in on the chaos, selling them popcorn and drinks as ammo.
* FromBadToWorse: Eddy's and Edd's attempts to calm Ed down only leads to Ed's UnstoppableRage.
* GentleTouchVsFirmHand: This is Edd and Eddy's respective methods in cheering up Ed. Edd tries to be gentle and sympathetic, but Eddy tries to be harsh and aggressive. Not only do neither of these methods work, but the Firm Hand, which is Eddy's, proves to only worsen the situation with each attempt.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: What Eddy does to Ed twice in a harsh way, but it backfires, [[UnstoppableRage especially the second attempt.]]
* GetOut: Ed kicks his friends and the kids out of his house, yelling at them "AWAY WITH YOU, UNWANTED PESTERERS!" When Sarah yells at him for doing so as it's also her house, he yells back at her to "SO MOVE!", scaring her enough to do as he demands with the kids following suit.
* GoKartingWithBowser: Eddy and Kevin get along for a brief moment, when they [[BullyingADragon pitch baseballs at Ed's head before Ed inevitably beats the two up for it.]]
* GoMadFromTheRevelation: The episode ends with Eddy LaughingMad after finding out Ed was angry over having a pebble in his shoe.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Ed crushes Eddy into the shape of a baseball bat, then uses him to smash Kevin's face in hard enough to [[{{Pun}} knock him out of the park]]
* HairTriggerTemper: '''[[GentleGiant ED]]''', of all people. Even Sarah is as tame as a puppy compared to him in this episode.
* HatesEveryoneEqually: Ed, as opposed to his [[AllLovingHero usual self.]]
* HereWeGoAgain: Implied that this happened when we suddenly see Eddy laughing like mad in the end.
* HotPotato: Between Edd and Eddy over whose turn it is to cheer up angry Ed.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Sarah berates Ed for kicking her out of their house, ignoring the fact that she did the same thing to him and his friends in "[[Recap/EdEddNEddyS2E3KnockKnockWhosEd Knock Knock Who's Ed?]]". However, she fearfully complies to his demand to leave when he yells back at her.
* HypocriticalHumor: Eddy forces Kevin to shut up about their really awful movie "The Hunt for Ed-o-saurus" by cramming a whole bag of popcorn into his mouth. Sarah complains she wants popcorn too. Eddy begrudgingly complies but asks, "What do I look like? Some popcorn fairy?"
* {{Jerkass}}: Eddy, who shows Ed no patience by insulting him and tries to calm him down in a very forcefully inconsiderate fashion. Needless to say Ed [[TheDogBitesBack pays him back]] for it. He regrets his aggressive approach big time when he causes Ed to reach his RageBreakingPoint. He reverts back to his normal goofy self once it's revealed he had a pebble stuck in his shoe.
* JerkassBall: Ed in this episode. He now blindly hates everything and everybody, including his two best friends. That is until the pebble was removed from his shoe.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: [[BrattyHalfPint Sarah]] and [[JerkJock Kevin]] finally got to be on the receiving end, after 4 years of often getting off scot-free.
* KnightOfCerebus: Ed is this of this episode, due to him being completely OutOfCharacter through expressing mostly negative emotions unlike most episodes such as constantly making an intimidating DeathGlare, assaulting people who gets in his way left and right in scary and brutal ways and Edd's and Eddy's attempts to cheer him up only makes things FromBadToWorse, to a point where Ed nearly crosses the MoralEventHorizon in a blind rage by almost killing off a reoccurring character (Plank, despite being an inanimate object) near the end of the episode before Jonny resolves this by removing the pebble in his shoe to calm Ed down, therefore reverting Ed back to his NiceGuy self, seemingly, blissfully unaware the events that he causes in this episode.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: After Sarah yells at Ed for kicking her out of their house, he yells at her back, scaring her. Sarah decides to do as her brother says and leaves, knowing he is stronger than her when he is angry.
* MaybeMagicMaybeMundane: Yet another hint that Plank may be more alive than he seems, as he somehow tells Jonny to take off Ed's shoe to stop his rampage. Don't ask how either Plank or Jonny knew that the pebble in his shoe is what made Ed angry.
* MickeyMousing: Edd provides a pedal steel guitar soundtrack to the movie he and the Eds made that matches the movements of the characters.
* MirthlessLaughter: After Ed yells back at Sarah, she laughs nervously as she backs away and complies with his demand to leave.
* MoodWhiplash: As the kids engage in a messy foodfight, the scene takes an abruptly serious turn as we cut to Ed's [[DeathGlare chillingly angry face]].
* MuggingTheMonster: Subverted with Sarah. Sarah knows about Ed's SuperStrength, but she only taunts Ed because she knows he wouldn't fight back and doesn't know he's much more powerful than her. It is only in this episode that Ed finally stands up to her, and she rightfully backs away from Ed when she realizes how powerful he is when he's angry.
-->'''Sarah:''' ED! You listen to me, mister! You can't kick me out! I LIVE HERE TOO!\
'''Ed:''' '''''SO MOVE!!'''''\
'''Sarah:''' (''Terrified OhCrap look at realizing her big brother is [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness dead serious]]'') Heh, heh... Okay, we better go. (''[[ScrewThisImOuttaHere Cue her and the other kids getting the heck out of dodge]]'')
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Eddy has this look on his face after slapping Ed.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Eddy's impatience and showing NoSympathy to Ed's bad mood culminates in him slapping Ed in the back of the head for not reverting back to his old self. Needless to say, this causes Ed's RageBreakingPoint and based on Eddy's [[OhCrap reaction]] afterwards, he regrets pushing him too far.
* NightmareFace: Ed's DeathGlare. Both the one in the garage, and the one he gives Double D.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Ed inflicts these on the other two Eds several times because their attempts at calming him down just bother him. He also gives Kevin one for pitching baseballs off his head. Lastly, he nearly tries this on Plank before he "tells" Johnny how to calm Ed down at last.
* NoIndoorVoice: Ed has this for the episode due to his rage.
-->'''Ed:''' AWAY WITH YOU!!! UNWANTED PESTERERS!!
** '''SO MOVE!!!!'''
** YOU TORMENT ''ME''!!!
** '''''BIG TROUBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!'''''
** '''I WANT TO BE ALONE!!!'''
* NoSympathy: Eddy really doesn't seem to care about Ed's predicament. He belittles him, shows him very little in the way of patience or empathy, and even causes him to reach his RageBreakingPoint by smacking him upside the head and jerkishly telling him to get over himself.
* NotHimself: It's clear that Ed couldn't understand or articulate what was making him so angry. One second after Johnny removed his shoe and took out the pebble, he instantly snapped back to his normal self.
* OhCrap:
** The kids, (especially Sarah, after Ed yelled at her) when they realize Ed's furious.
** Eddy also has this after smacking Ed in the head causing him to go berserk and scream loud enough to make Edd faint and with enough force to rip his shirt off. And judging by the terrified look on his face, he realizes he pushed Ed too far.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness:
** Until the last few seconds (after Jonny removes Ed's shoe, causing a tiny pebble to fall out of it), Ed is a totally different character in this episode.
** Likewise for Sarah. She yells at Ed (as usual) for kicking her out of their house, but the instant he yells back at her, she becomes frightened and backs away, complying with his demand of her and everybody to leave.
* OverlyLongScream: Ed shouting "BIG TROUBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!" is [[GaleForceSound loud enough to rip Eddy's shirt off]].
* PetTheDog:
** A minor example for Ed. Whereas he inflicts physical harm against Eddy for the latter's harsh and aggressive means of curbing his bad mood, Edd's more gentle approach merely prompts him to forcefully but harmlessly push the latter away. Additionally, he noticeably doesn't shout as loud when he threatens to squash Edd should the latter touch him again.
** Despite spending the episode being an [[NoSympathy unsympathetic]] {{Jerkass}} and being terrified after causing Ed's RageBreakingPoint, Eddy stays behind to [[PleaseWakeUp wake Edd up]] after he fainted from Ed's SkywardScream instead of getting out of dodge like he usually would.
* PuppyDogEyes: Edd gets these after Ed rejects a cooldown hug.
* PleaseWakeUp: Eddy tries to get Edd to regain consciousness after causing Ed's RageBreakingPoint.
* PlotArmor: Everything in the playground Ed throws into the air barely misses Edd and Eddy when they land. The see-saw Jonny is on lands neatly over an unconscious Edd without hurting him.
* RageBreakingPoint: Ed barely contains his anger throughout the episode but only lashes out if someone gets too close to him or annoys him. He finally ''snaps'' when Eddy yells at him to cheer up, slapping him on the back of the head and telling him "get over it". This causes Ed to actively go on a rampage, instead of just sitting down, and he begins to destroy the playground and nearly breaks Plank in half.
* RampageFromANail: Ed's bad mood is from a pebble in his shoe.
* SelfDeprecation: While counting his movie profits, Eddy comments, "There's big cash in showbiz, Double D! Unless you're on cable."
* ShowWithinAShow: "The Hunt for Ed-o-saurus", a silent film shot by the Eds about a dinosaur and some cave people. Kevin thinks that the movie [[StylisticSuck "sucks eggs"]].
* ShutUpHannibal: [[EnfantTerrible Sarah]] tries to talk down to Ed as usual, only for the latter to shout at her to back off, scaring her shitless.
-->'''Sarah:''' Ed! You listen to me, mister! You can't kick me out! I LIVE HERE TOO!!\
'''Ed:''' '''''SO MOVE!!'''''\
'''Sarah:''' (''Terrified OhCrap look'')
* SkywardScream: See Ed's above quotes for the NoIndoorVoice trope.
* SuperStrength: Ed, obviously. Only now, [[OhCrap he's using it as a weapon]].
* TakeThat: The opening scene is one to certain cinema theaters that profits off of overcharged refreshments like popcorn and soda more so than movie tickets.
* TooDumbToLive: Eddy and Kevin for deliberately antagonizing Ed regardless of how obviously strong and pissed off he is.
* TookALevelInBadass: Ed's now a full-on PersonOfMassDestruction who slaughters all who oppose him or gets in his way, instead of a clumsy oaf who never attacks anyone, even those who abuse him.
* UngratefulBastard: Ed, who attacks Edd in a blind rage for just trying to help him.
* UnstoppableRage: Eddy slapping Ed on the back of the head was the final straw of his pebble-induced HairTriggerTemper. Upon which he rips his monobrow apart, screams at the very top of his lungs and rips apart the playground with his bare hands, and even attempts to outright murder Plank.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Eddy's scam to fleece money from the kids in exchange for popcorn they could throw at one another was working perfectly, and we never see them demand a refund after Ed kicks them out of his garage. So where's Eddy's coin jar? Is it still in there? Did they ever go back for it?
* WingDingEyes: Ed has the swirly eye effect when he is pushed to his breaking point. They are thin orange swirls on a red background.
