!This episode contains the following tropes:
* ActorAllusion: Yamper isn't the first Pokémon that Creator/TaraSands has voiced that acts as TheLeader of a group of Pokémon living under a prominent professor's care. She first did that back during the [=4Kids=] days with Ash's Bulbasaur.
* ApprovalOfGod: An InUniverse case done by the Pokémon equivalent of one. Suicune gives its blessing to Yamper for doing such a good job in helping the rest of the Pokémon in Cerise Park.
* TheBusCameBack: Goh's Suicune makes its grand return to Cerise Park to help clean up the water left by Grimer's mess.
* ContinuityNod: When the heroes see Goh's Pinsir down in the dumps over seeing Heracross fawning over Lilligant and Gossifleur's Sweet Scent, Chloe {{Lampshade}}s that this happened before. Yamper solves that problem by having Panpour soak Heracross to snap it out of its trance.
* ADayInTheLimelight: For Chloe's Yamper, showing what it does when its owner is not around.
* FertileFeet: Suicune manages to purify the stream in the Cerise Lab just by running on it.
* FeudEpisode: Goh's Pidgey, Fearow, Fletchling, and both Nidoran are fighting over territory with both Geodude and Roggenrola when the Rock types get into their play spot next to Golurk. It turns out they moved because the water got dirty, which in turn angers Bruxish, and leaves poor Pyukumuku out to dry. Finding Grimer is the responsible source and building it a new nest when they learn it gave up its old one for Froakie to live in is the key to stopping the fighting.
* HereWeGoAgain: Just as Heracross and Pinsir make up from the former falling for Sweet Scent, Alcremie walks by with the same aroma. Pinsir responds by ''suplexing'' Heracross.
* HiddenDepths:
** The episode demonstrates Yamper has innate leadership skills in helping to take care of the other Pokémon in the park.
** Grimer are typically known for being mischievous given its poison typing, but Goh's willingly gave up its nest so Goh's Froakie could have a place of its own.
* TheLeader: Yamper establishes itself as one for Cerise Park.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Despite its small stature, Yamper can deadlift a Panpour and a Vibrava with ease, and has no trouble breaking up a fight between ''eight'' other Pokémon.
* UniversallyBelovedLeader: As TheLeader of the entire group of Pokémon in Cerise Park, Yamper is well liked by all the other Pokémon for the hard work it puts in, even ''Suicune''.
* WhamLine: A series of several. Just as the episode ends, Ash gets a call on his Rotom Phone that another match has been scheduled for him. His opponent? Raihan, the Dragon Type Gym Leader from Galar, and he's ranked number 8 in the World Coronation Series. Therefore, the match will be an entrance battle. If Ash beats Raihan, Ash qualifies for the Masters Eight and will therefore be recognized as one of the strongest trainers in the world.
