10	* CharacterizationMarchesOn: When Lana asks Lori to take her to the dump, Lori makes up a lie to avoid taking Lana and have more time for herself, instead of bargaining her with some housework, like she always does in "Driving Miss Hazy". An obvious indication that Lori has stopped doing this.

25	* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Upon having second thoughts about the lie-detecting but still unwilling to give it up just yet, Lisa's own invention calls her out on "lying to herself." This ultimately forces Lisa to admit (both to herself and to her family) that what she did was wrong.
26	* HonestyAesop: An inversion--Lisa ultimately acknowledges that lying can sometimes be for the best, especially in situations where telling the truth would just end up making things worse.
27	* LethalChef: In contrast to his [[SupremeChef usual portrayal]], Lynn Sr.'s food in this episode is so inedible that the family will pretend to eat it, and then secretly order takeout.

35	** Similarly, Leni is presented as a fashion victim in this episode, even though she has a much better sense of style in many other episodes. Then again, it could be she was simply experimenting with new styles.

43	* ComicallyMissingThePoint: When Clyde is discovered hiding under the table, Leni scolds Lincoln for inviting Clyde over and not offering him a chair. When Lincoln objects that he did not invite Clyde, Lola remarks that that's even ruder since Clyde is obviously hungry.

He goes on to tell Clyde that while his feelings would have been hurt, he would have understood since he is not as careful with his belongings as Clyde is.

64	* SlipperySkid: Happens twice. Clyde uses Geo's ball to knock down Lisa in the hallway. Mr. Loud falls victim of this too after offering him his deconstructed pizza.
