While hiding from the consequences of their latest failed scam in the junkyard, Eddy is inspired by seeing Ed traipse around on a makeshift stage with an old hat and umbrella, and decides that show-biz would make for easy money. He holds auditions for the kids to perform in the Ed-telethon for Ed's "eyebrow operation".

!!Tropes
* BandageMummy: After his magic act flops, a humiliated Jimmy runs off and crashes into the telethon's donation tracker. In the next scene, he's in a full-body cast.
* BrickJoke: Rolf auditions with the traditional "dance of the hairless otter", but is kicked out before he could even perform. At the end, he plays a hairless otter in his and Kevin's play.
* CannotTalkToWomen: Said almost verbatim by Kevin when Ed gets literally tongue-tied trying to thank Nazz for her saying they should jam sometime.
* ChekhovsGun: Double D's giant magnet, which the Eds try to use to steal quarters. In the end, they attempt to ruin Kevin and Rolf's show with it, but it ends up sending them straight into a metal dumpster.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Ed has no idea what Eddy means by "donations", so instead of looking for money, Ed just rifles through all sorts of random spots.
-->Ed: (first time, looking through a refrigerator) Eddy, do you keep donations in the fridge? (second time, having dug up some floorboards) Are donations bigger than a bread box? (third time, with a colander on his head) Is this a donation?
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Eddy wasn't very clear with Ed on what he meant by "donations", leaving Ed to cluelessly look through the other kids houses with no idea of what to look for. Each time he calls wondering if something is a donation, he tries to get clarification from Eddy, but Eddy just hangs up on him in frustration. Not to mention that there's no one to call in donations anyway, since the entire potential audience is there watching it live.
* DreadfulMusician: To paraphrase Double D, Nazz singlehandedly annihilates all things music after attempting to play the tuba (all she does is blow into it, releasing a single, dreadfully loud note). Regardless, she still makes it into the telethon because Eddy finds her attractive. Despite this, her act is a surprise hit at the Ed-Telethon, mainly because Eddy accidentally got stuck in the tuba, and the kids enjoyed seeing him get hurt when Nazz played it.
* EatenAlive: Happens to the hero of Rolf's native play. Rolf actually manages to get Kevin halfway into his mouth when the two act out the scene.
* HadTheSillyThingInReverse: When the Ed's giant magnet backfires on them in the end, Edd states it was because he put the batteries in backwards.
-->Eddy: You sure haven't been on the ball lately, huh, Double D?
* TheHeckler: Both Kevin and Rolf loudly mock the telethon at every turn, and they eventually steal the spotlight by putting on a show of their own.
* LaserGuidedKarma: The Eds try to attack Kevin and Rolf with their enormous magnet, but it quickly turns around and pins them against a dumpster.
-->Double D: Silly me, it appears I put the batteries in backwards.\
Eddy: You sure haven't been on the ball lately, have you, Double D?
* Malaproper: Rolf tries his hand at calling the Eds dorks for trying to steal their money with a giant magnet. It doesn't work:
-->Rolf: Rolf is not amused, you...how you say...ducks?\
Kevin: Dorks!\
Rolf: Yes! That is what I said.\
Kevin: Nah, you said–\
Rolf: Ducks! See, ducks!\
(later while chasing the Eds)\
Rolf: I think I saw the ducks run here!\
Kevin: (stopping by the tire) Dorks Rolf, dorks.\
Rolf: Dorks do not quack, Kevin.
* PerformanceAnxiety: When Jimmy takes too long coming on stage because he's fussing over the feathers of his magician turbing being limp, Eddy quickly ushers Edd on stage to stall the crowd. Edd can only meekly grin before suddenly getting jelly legs and fainting in seconds.
-->Edd: Oh dear. There go the legs. (faints)
* SawAWomanInHalf: In this case, Jimmy attempts to saw Rolf in half, and fails miserably.
* ShowWithinAShow: Kevin and Rolf's little play about a hero who battles an evil hairless otter.
* ShoutOut: When talking about show business, Double D remarks that "there's no business like it!" This is a reference to the song "There's No Business Like Show Business" from Theatre/AnnieGetYourGun.
* StageMagician: Jimmy's act has him performing magic tricks that quickly go awry, much to his embarassment.
* StartMyOwn: Kevin and Rolf decide to start their own show after Eddy's falls flat and runs out of acts, which is more successful than Eddy's when they roleplay with Kevin as a hero fighting Rolf as the "hairless otter". Eddy lampshades it.
-->Eddy: They stole our audience, Double D!
-->Edd: The bigger you are, the harder you fall.
* RollOutTheRedCarpet: As part of their "showbiz" shtick, the Eds make a big entrance by literally rolling out a red carpet.
* RuleOfThree: Ed asks Eddy about what a donation is three times during the episode.
* Telethon: The Eds host a fake telethon to raise money for Ed's "eyebrow operation". Thanks to the cruddy acts and unimpressed crowd, they don't make a single penny.
* TerribleIntervieweesMontage: Every neighborhood kid except Kevin auditions for the Ed Telethon. Jonny and Plank do standup comedy, Nazz plays a tuba (badly), Rolf attempts to do a traditional dance (but is turned down immediately because "there's no budget for subtitles"), and Jimmy and Sarah perform a dance routine. In the end, only Nazz and Jimmy make it into the show.
* WalkingOutOnTheShow: Of the "steal the audience" type as Eddy lampshades. After having their fun heckling Eddy's show, Kevin and Rolf decide to start their own, with the other kids following to watch.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: Downplayed. After Sarah and Jimmy finish their audition, Eddy offers Jimmy, and only Jimmy, a part in his show if he ditches Sarah. After a moment of hesitating, Jimmy chooses stardom over his best friend. While upset at first, she tries to be supportive, and when Jimmy flubs his acts and injures himself, she's quick to rush over to help in concern.
