However, Mebius' strength and the bonds he had with GUYS and Hikari allowed him to achieve his most powerful form, Phoenix Brave. With the help of the Ultra Brothers and GUYS themselves, Mebius was able to destroy Alien Empera once and for all, saving the Universe and becoming a worthy Ultra Brother himself before leaving Earth to return back to M78, while always holding his memories of Earth dear. |

That said, Mebius does feel uneasy about Gamera's higher ruthlessness and callous behavior towards collateral damage at times when he focuses on his duties. |

Z-Man shows particular interest in the Japanese girl band Houkago Tea Time, since they are the most similar group to the Carrie Nations around, but the sentiment is not quite returned because they'd rather not come under the thumb of a producer of questionable sanity and risk sharing the rock trio's fate. Nonetheless, Z-Man has produced some songs for them, and the group has to admit the retro sound was fresh for them. Greg Universe has retired from the professional music business, but still has a fraught relationship with his own svengali manager, Marty, who used him to get money, fame and women, though at least he doesn't cheat him out of royalties; despite Z-Man's flowery compliments to his musical talent, as well as that of his son Steven and the Crystal Gems, Greg certainly doesn't think it's a good idea to get mixed up with the guy, even if the Crystal Gems are more than capable of flattening Z-Man should push come to shove. |
| 394 | ** The Beatles have their share of issues with Z-Man given his many disturbing parallels to the unhinged Phil Spector, whose interference in their album ''Let It Be'' was not exactly appreciated, and there's also the fact that Spector was a gun nut who held Lennon at gunpoint, which is particularly HarsherInHindsight. Elvis Presley also famously had his own svengali in UsefulNotes/ColonelTomParker, to whom he was very submissive, so he doesn't have the best opinion of Z-Man either. Z-Man himself is actually extremely admiring of these musicians for the precedents they set in the music genres he most specializes in, but can see how their experience in showbiz, on top of their pride as artists, has hardened them to the point where they'd want absolutely nothing to do with them, so he doesn't try to approach them to strike record deals. |
| 395 | * Given Z-Man's infamy, it's the crazier or plain reckless artists in whom he is able to find regular companionship, one of them being the multi-talented and tormented Phantom of the Opera. They can understand each other's desire to mold their proteges so that they bring only the greatest musical pieces to the world. Not only do they share a passion for music, but they've also bonded over having (or having had) to contend with societies that refuse to accept for what they really are, despite their genius. However, though Z-Man has a great relationship with the original Phantom, it's the opposite case when it comes to his imitator, the Phantom of the Paradise/Winslow Leach. This is because Z-Man strongly reminds Winslow of Swan, the corrupt record producer that stole Winslow's music and made his life into an almost literal hell; he also likens Z-Man's treatment of the Carrie Nations to Swan's treatment of his love interest Phoenix. For what it's worth, Z-Man is actually not as deliberately vile or calculating as Swan, as he never stole anyone's music (as far as is known), nor did he sign pacts with the devil. In fact, since ascending, Z-Man has come to regret going off the deep end and doing what he did to people he considered friends and co-workers. Unfortunately for him, Winslow has been affected enough by Swan that he can't bring himself to believe Z-Man's repentance. |
| 396 | * The Pantheon's LGBT community's perception of Z-Man is understandably complicated because while many of them sympathize with the lack of acceptance he faced, the fact that he responded by committing multiple very grisly murders can't be excused, especially as it feeds into such harmful stereotypes as that of the DepravedHomosexual, among others. Z-Man is thus not very likely to become friends with transgender deities such as [[Pantheon/UnconventionalWeaponry Bridget]], [[Pantheon/TheatricPerformers Bernadette (and her gay cis-male friends)]] or [[Pantheon/GenderSexMiscellaneous Max Owen]] any time soon, especially as those people were also a lot more moral than the hedonistic svengali Z-Man from the start; some major atonement quest on Z-Man's part would have to occur before they would consider approaching him for friendship. |
| 397 | ** Conversely, Z-Man has better luck with LGBT deities who are some level of deranged and/or amoral; aside from his generous patron Dr. Furter, he's become close to the Black Queen of Sogo, who was drawn to Z-Man's parties through her own unbridled hedonistic pursuits. Z-Man was fascinated to hear about Sogo and how every inhabitant of the Queen's planet is only concerned with chasing the feeling of gratification without regard for any moral concern. In some ways, the predatory Queen reminds Z-Man of Ashley St. Ives, a porn actress and fixture of Z-Man's parties who was entirely sex-driven and always on the prowl for her next boy-toy. That said, the Queen's affections appear to be centered solely on Barbarella at the moment, and Her Majesty's attempts to woo the rather clueless astronavigatrix are alternately spectated and subtly supported by a very amused Z-Man. |
| 398 | * Z-Man is literate enough to have immediately recognized Jay Gatsby when he deigned to attend one of Z-Man's parties as a break from throwing his own. In the conversation that ensued, the two realized that though they seem extremely different on the surface, they have in common a certain feeling of emptiness in their lives despite all the wealth and extravagance they surround themselves with to disguise that fact. They didn't feel like contemplating that any longer than necessary and just lost themselves in alcohol for the remainder of the night. Despite how heavy their conversation got, Gatsby still occasionally finds himself drawn to the venues of Z-Man's parties, if only so he can partake in some of the other substances Z-Man has to offer to forget all his problems. Z-Man can understand that and just lets him. |
| 399 | * Once Z-Man's SexDrugsAndRockAndRoll lifestyle and parties became infamous enough around the Pantheon, the police got very interested in putting the kibosh on them, mostly to stop the amount of illegal substances, excessive drinking and other potentially nastier things that go around at these events. Unfortunately for them, Slaanesh was so impressed with Z-Man that it offered him full divine protection if he used the Chaos God's corner of the House of Love and Affection as a venue for his celebrations. Z-Man has taken the deity up on its generosity much to the frustration of the Pantheonic authorities. Z-Man's already revealed violent tendencies are also cause for concern for the police, but as the higher authorities' official stance is that he has paid enough for his murder spree with his own death, it should not be held against him any longer and the cops will have to find new charges. Some of the more determined cops like DEA agent Hank Schrader are hard at work on the case. |
| 400 | * Z-Man's parties can be counted among the loudest, largest and most fun around the Pantheon, so of course the party pony Pinkie Pie was bound to declare "A challenger appears". Cue Pinkie "infiltrating" Z-Man's parties so she can figure out ways to top them with her own, though Z-Man finds the subterfuge unnecessary (not to mention useless) and Pinkie's enthusiasm rather endearing. He also doesn't see the need for any competition between them since their respective styles of partying obviously work from different philosophies (not to mention appeal to different demographics). Pinkie still insists that she's going to top Z-Man by throwing the partiest party that ever partied, whatever that means. Z-Man just shrugs and carries on, finding Pinkie's presence at his parties entertaining at any rate. Discord has also gotten in on the party scene, ostensibly to protect Pinkie from the raving lunatic Z-Man, but his nature means he can't help but go with the groove, and as a formerly-evil, still-chaotic being he has rather less issue with Z-Man than he probably should have as a friend to the Mane Six. He's also more than welcome as far as Z-Man is concerned. |
| 401 | * As has been already pointed out, he's a Shakespeare fan and generally speaks grandiloquently, like a character in one of the Bard's plays, though sometimes with 1960s turns of phrase mixed in. Thus, he finds it only natural that the greatest of playwrights and several of his characters are ascended, and has tried several times to make an acquaintance with all of them, though their reactions to him, like those of so many other deities, are decidedly mixed. If there's one thing Z-Man cannot abide, though, it is unworthy beings who presume to imitate Shakespeare's characters. The prime example of this is Nobuyuki Sugou, who takes on the identity of King Oberon in the online world. Given what a cowardly, cruel and entitled bastard Sugou is, Z-Man can only think of him as pathetic vermin trying to disguise his many shortcomings through the mighty name of the king of fairies, and there's no more fitting punishment for such a crime than getting his head lopped off. Sugou, typically for him, thinks Z-Man is a terrifying maniac that needs to be locked up forever where he can't hurt others (which is to say, himself); some might agree, but only ''after'' Sugou gets his head lopped off by Superwoman's sword. |
| 402 | * Someone Z-Man is more willing to forgive for having a passing resemblance to King Oberon (even if it was he himself who made the mistake) is Jareth the Goblin King, who became rather interested in Z-Man for his musical taste and knowing how to party. This is surprising, as Jareth usually stays aloof from humans, absconded in his kingdom of fairies, but he judged Z-Man to be unique enough to be worth his time. Z-Man is only too proud to welcome another member of literal royalty (added to the Black Queen) into his social circle, especially one as fabulous and glam as Jareth. When Jareth isn't livening Z-Man's happenings up with his songs, the two can be found sitting and having amiable conversation, resembling an island of tranquility while the rest of the party-goers carry on around them. |
