Due to some issues with living space, and the then-recent foundation of the Hall of Pantheon/{{Canines}}, the Court of the Gods has granted the feline deities' request to be relocated from Pantheon/{{Mammals}} to a Hall of their own. Herein lie all deities who represent anything under the classification of "Felidae". Any feline deity with a non-cat title is free to visit whenever they want, as are those who like cats a lot such as [[Pantheon/HorrorGenres H.P. Lovecraft]][[note]]despite giving his own cat a...VERY tasteless name[[/note]] and [[Pantheon/PersonsOfDesire Glenn Quagmire]][[note]]who's on his best behavior in this hall[[/note]]. The members of this hall also respect the [[Pantheon/ElementalPairings Spectral Lion]].

Unsurprisingly [[AnimalJingoism they don't appreciate any canine deity visiting]], though some are more tolerant of dogs than others. We also advise rodent deities to avoid visiting for obvious reasons. Catnip has been banned from this hall, but that doesn't stop people from trying to sneak it in anyway.

* Opposed by: [[Pantheon/{{Commerce}} Nibbler]], many canine deities
* In Ancient Egypt, cats were considered sacred. Essential in eliminating pests, it would be as early as the 2nd Dynasty a deity would rise to represent them. Daughter of Ra, Bastet is the goddess of war, love, the sun and sensuality. Protector of the home and family, she proved a very popular goddess and it would only be a matter of time until the Trope Pantheon noted. Now she serves a new divine role; that of embodying [[CatsAreSuperior the mightiness of cats]].
* Just like every other Egyptian deity, she despises YHVH for His oppression of foreign pantheons like her own. And just like them, she believes Ramses is going too far. Doesn't exactly like Moses either due to the whole "Exodus" thing being somewhat of a sore spot.
* Asides from Egypt, [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos she's also part of the Cthulhu mythos]] as an Elder God. This incarnation [[Literature/NyarukoCrawlingWithLove works on Planetary Defense Organizations']] Dreamlands Management Division alongside N'tse-Kaambal, [[GenderFlip as a male]].
* As the original goddess of cats and one of the strongest felines out there, it was no surprise that she would be made the leader of the Hall of Felines. That being said, there is a feline deity who completely surpasses her in strength; Beerus, [[DestroyerDeity God of Destruction]]. Though they compete in terms of who's the better cat deity, [[FriendlyRivalry they're friends at the end of the day]] and respect one another. Sometimes they can be seen flirting with each other. No one is sure how serious the flirting is, however.
** Mewtwo has shown interest in fighting her and determining who's the stronger feline, which Bastet is open for.
* Her views on Glenn Quagmire are complicated but mostly positive. As a goddess of lust, she's behind Glenn Quagmire scoring but looks down on [[BlackComedyRape the lengths he's willing to go to]]. Still, Glenn is a massive fan of cats and is willing to help her with them free of charge.
* [[AnimalJingoism Most dog deities dislike her]], and were upset to learn that the Hall of Felines got a Greater Deity before them, partly because many a feline were feeling pretty smug at her ascension. That being said, Bastet doesn't have any bias towards canines. Hell, her consort on most occasions is the jackal-headed Anubis!
* As with every Egyptian deity, she detests Apophis. The two have been locked in combat for several millennia, bound by Ra until she had to be released in order to rest. She rested in the body of the Kanes' house cat, Muffet, and as a result of their conflict, when in close enough proximity to him, she can read the monster's thoughts. Of late, [[VideoGame/{{Smite}} she thought she succeeded in killing the abomination]]. Unfortunately, the dreaded serpent survives in the Trope Pantheon. She requested her ascension almost immediately after hearing of the news and hopes to take him down once and for all. The Orochi [[Pantheon/{{Reptiles}} from the same house]] is on her hit list as well, due to being a similar AnimalisticAbomination.
* As the goddess of the hunt and love/lust, she gets along with Artemis and Aphrodite. You can usually find her dealing with the many rodent pests of the pantheon, which has made Twitch's life a lot harder. As a goddess of health and medicine, she will work in the House of Health And Diseases.
* Bastet is also a goddess of music, and will usually spend time in that House, as well as the House of Beasts.
* As a guardian of family and the home, she is naturally appalled by the Child Abusers.
* Helps protect the sun along with her father, leading her to oppose those who wish to take out the sun.
* Nibbler was incredibly suspicious of her upon her ascension, claiming that she was part of [[ItMakesSenseInContext the cats' plans to take over the world]]. She finds his accusations annoying, since in most realities felines aren't part of any evil conspiracy. Nibbler remains suspicious of her.
* [[Pantheon/MagicCasters Muhammad Avdol]] looked at her funny once she ascended, due to having faced a Stand by the name of Bastet. Said Stand was an electrical outlet that used magnetic attraction against the user's enemies, which got a good laugh out of her when [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nslHyh3hm4 it put him and Joseph Joestar in a compromising position]]. Doesn't get why its power is magnetism, but does think [[MsFanservice the user]] was appropriate enough. Of course, Bastet had to clear things up and clarify that magnetism and electricity have never been domains of hers. Those 'Stands' were named after them gratuitously. Like, Geb being more water than earth? Anubis being more of a living Sword than taking care of the dead? ''Seriously?'' And that's not getting into the moral alignments of DIO and his cohorts, which clash with hers...
* Along with her consort and father, [[VideoGame/{{Smite}} she's joined the battle of the gods]] as an Assassin class. To her irritation, [[Creator/LeahClark she sounds like]] Yuu, though she appreciates the fact that the CatGirl [[Pantheon/CharacterArchetypes Blair]] also shares her voice. Didn't like it when [[Pantheon/OtherCriminals Aladdin]] and friends mistook her for [[WesternAnimation/AladdinTheSeries Mirage]], who she considers "[[ForTheEvulz a sadistic lunatic]] little better than [[OmnicidalManiac Apophis]]".
* One day, many feline beings complained to Bastet about a certain god named [[Pantheon/PersonalAppearance Geralt of Rivia]]. When she met with Geralt, she herself found a great urge to hiss at him, and she didn't know why. He explained that there is no reason why cats hate Witchers, they just do, and it's something he got used to. As such, Bastet made a rule to all felines that when it comes to the Witcher Geralt of Rivia to only report genuine trouble besides a sudden urge to hiss.
* She finds the "black cats represent bad luck" superstition simultaneously annoying and very amusing, because in Egypt, black cats represented GOOD luck. Ironically, it was ''white'' cats that were considered unlucky.

* Avoids: The Halls of Pantheon/WaterAndMoisture and Pantheon/IceAndCold
* Opposed by/Opposes: ''[[Pantheon/HuntersAndSlayers The Monster Hunters]]''
* [[OurDragonsAreDifferent Elder Dragons]] as a whole are dangerous. It's partly for the point of their classification: [[PersonOfMassDestruction They're creatures with power akin to natural disasters]] but the damage to the world around them (usually) isn't out of ill intent. For example, the [[Pantheon/SpecializedNarratives Gore Magala]] spreads a frenzy-inducing virus on its scales, sure, but in this stage they can't even see the world around them otherwise and they need to shed so much of it to get a good read on everything. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean the Elder Dragons are your typical gentle giants either. Far from it, and this can be exemplified by the chimera-like[=/=]manticore-like Elder Dragons, Teostra and Lunastra. A fearsome pair in battle, their temperament is harsh and brutal as [[LethalLavaLand the volcanic wastelands]] they rule over and [[PlayingWithFire the elements they]] [[HavingABlast use against potential foes]].
* Their arrival was heralded by a heatwave hitting the Hall of Felines. Noticing the sudden spike in temperature, denizens from within the Halls of Pantheon/FireAndHeat and Pantheon/{{Weather}} were called into question while House authorities were brought into the mix to further look into the problem. While helping the House cope with the increase in temperatures, Olaf (''Nintendo Wars'') and Jack Frost took note of a black, spiky dragon flying overhead seemingly scouting for something. Or rather some''one''. They wasted no time in notifying everyone along with contacting the Hunter's Guild for assistance. Almost immediately recognizing what was going on four Monsters enlisted the help of Olaf's forces and Bastet to aid them.
** Sure enough, there was indeed a Teostra roaming the remote parts of the House -- with whatever life nearby is currently wasting away from the flames. When they tried to approach further, the dragon from before known as Nergigante, burst through them to do what Nergigante always does: pick a fight with the Teostra. While explosions burst readily like fireworks in a festival, the Extinction Dragon had its prey cornered, or so it would seem. [[ViolentlyProtectiveGirlfriend Flying just as fast in an azure blur Teostra's mate, Lunastra, had entered the scene in order to defend him]]. Bastet and team this time wasted no moments in assisting the Elder Dragons and they all managed to drive away the black dragon. While everyone prepared for another fight as the two Elder Dragons turned Bastet managed to diffuse the situation and actually managed to peacefully convince them to leave. As a consequence of their trouble they both became deities by request of the Monster Hunters to help keep track of them.
* As one may expect from their titles, both by the Hunter's Guild and the Pantheon/TropePantheons, their bread and butter is fire, which they store in and release from special flame sacs in their mouths, which they use in conjunction with their natural speed and strength. But the real star of the show here is their old scales in which they spread around to act as explosive powder of which they ignite by gnashing their teeth akin to flint. It sounds simple, but the way they go about spreading it keeps opponents on their toes. Their deadliest attack with their explosive powder is a SphereOfDestruction - the fittingly named Supernova. Their [[CombinationAttack Bond Attack]], preformed via MatingDance, is not only bigger but a hell of a lot more potent.
** Before, Lunastra wasn't all that different from Teostra in terms of abilities. In fact, you could even call her the weaker version [[VideoGame/MonsterHunterWorld until reports from the New World surfaced]]. For one, the area close around her is hot enough to burn people if ill-prepared, and Lunastra spreads around patches of blue fire that burn on which on its own simply burns those touching it. However, its true purpose is to enhance both her and Teostra's attacks. Trying to blind her with [[BlindedByTheLight Flashpods]] or those similar to it, at best, does nothing, and at worst, pisses her off enough to activate a Supernova, and her heat lingers on after the initial explosion. [[PutOnABus It seems that retirement after the 2nd Generation]] paid off big time.
* Ozai and Azula are looking into using the Elder Dragon for their own ends; Teostra and Lunastra are aware of such ill intent behind both father and daughter. While the two regularly fight against them, they are wary of stepping into whatever plots they have. There is some consolation in that the two aren't out to work together due to their poor relationship with one another.
* Teostra and Lunastra already made their home in the Hall of Pantheon/FireAndHeat as their title extends there, but the two have also been known to roam the Hall of Pantheon/EarthAndRock's desert as well. They aren't incapable of living in slightly cooler locations, and are no strangers to fighting Akantor and Odibatorasu. They do, however, avoid being in the Halls of Pantheon/WaterAndMoisture and Pantheon/IceAndCold [[LogicalWeakness for reasons that should not need explaining]].
** Reports started surfacing of a creature sharing the same build of both Teostra and Lunastra, but its color was snowy blue, and it boasted a command over ice and frostbite, manifesting icebergs and blizzards to deep-six its opponents. The Monster Hunters identify it as their Origin Species, Toa Tesukatora. Not only is it pretty old, but it inherits much more traits from both it and the Elder Dragon couple's ancestor. It begs the question as to what happened down the line for Teostra and Lunastra to prefer the scorching flames.
* If you ask around the House of Pantheon/{{Musicality}} -- primarily with those who enjoy memes -- you'll find that their themes, mainly Teostra's, go oddly well with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbi8ZIqoSZg the KFC Guy]].
* While the two aren't exactly creatures would find pleasant to greet and meet and go on one's merry way, your generally better off meeting the Lunastra first. Territorial, yes, but she's courteous enough to give you enough warnings to back off or face brimstone. Teostra shows no such kindness. The moment he see you is the moment your fight for your life begins. This behavior seems to be shaken up a bit during the Elder Crossing to the New World. Teostra are much nicer in comparison to how they normally act, which likely has something to do with their purpose of the Elder Crossing. That being to pass on as their residual bioenergy helps sustain the New World, though this attitude change is speculation. Lunastra, meanwhile, was observed to be much more aggressive and prone to conflict. For her, it was mating season.
* They're welcome in the Hall of Pantheon/DraconicBeings for their classification while possessing actual draconic traits since [[NonIndicativeName some Elder Dragons seem to defy the name]]. Though they don't have much of an opinion on their fellow kin since they mainly roam around their own territory, though Spyro is one of the few exceptions. As a dragon with some cat-like traits he ended up crossing paths with Teostra if by coincidence. Teostra, being the aggressor, attacked on sight and expected an easy victory [[UnderestimatingBadassery due to his puny size compared to him]]. The exact opposite happened, [[PintsizePowerhouse the smaller]] Spyro holding his own against him. Being proven wrong, likely helped by [[BreathWeapon Spyro's use of ice breath]], Teostra called the fight off and decided he was of worth. Later meetings between the purple dragon are more along the lines of Teostra's attitude in the New World.
* Though the Hall of Felines thought getting another Greater Gods to stack up against the Hall of Pantheon/{{Canines}} sounded nice, they don't like Teostra and Lunastra for the heat waves they pulled off there which likely would of perpetuated had not the situation between them and Nergigante fizzled out quickly. The two in turn don't care for their fellow cats all that much. As far as other felines are concerned...
** For their many legends and mythologies about lions and other large felines, the Clan cats pay great respect to them, for Teostra and Lunastra are no different in that regard. To them, they are seen as the mightiest of the felines, fitting titles indeed.
** Mufasa and Simba display a similar level of respect for the two, though they aren't ignorant to the their brutal nature. Oddly, the two Elder Dragons reciprocate respect for the rulers of Pride Lands. Perhaps it's due to the former's form as a sky spirit over the territory he once rules while the latter's FieryLion form [[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII when summoned by]] [[Pantheon/GamingGenresNToZ Sora]].
** Though they are somewhat confused by the Incineroar's bipedal nature (in that his previous evolutions are quadrupedal, we mean) the two admit they find the Heel Pokémon's fighting style interesting. Even if he isn't quite as strong as them, they do give credit where credit's due if he's one of many invitees to VideoGame/SuperSmashBros.
* Through Incineroar and their High Priest Pyroar they came to build this [[{{Pun}} seething]] level of animosity towards Lysandre for his attempts at powering the Ultimate Weapon and his continued plans to do so within the Pantheon. Though he has a Pyroar of his own, this does little to cool the anger towards the Team Flare leader.
* Teostra's name can be rearranged to form the word toaster. All things considered it's a pretty fitting anagram. Cause, you know, cause toasters toast stuff. We don't recommend bringing it up to the Flame King Dragon's face, however, unless one wishes to be incinerated by [[CatLikeDragons a giant dragon cat]].

* The other [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight servants]] of the pantheon are jealous of Len because she is able to replenish her mana without needing her master.
* Len rather likes being with Mako, Mirai, Yoruichi, Luna, Sanya and Azusa because they all contain a lot of imagery to a black cat. Especially Yoruichi and Luna because they can also transform into a black cat.
** She doesn't like Bernkastel however, despite being able to do the same thing, [[CompleteMonster for]] [[{{Troll}} obvious]] [[NeutralEvil reasons]].

* Morrigan and Lillith Aensland enjoy teasing Len for not using her abilities as a succubus to make people fall in love with her. Len thinks that they would get tired of it considering that Len never reacts to them.
* Len is allied with Ysera and Gardevoir because all of them are able to [[DreamWeaver manipulate the dreams of others.]]
* Some of the deities who were once emotionless such as Haruka Kotoura, Colette Brunel and Presea Combatir are nervous around Len because they were once like her and feel like they are looking at their past selves. But they don't dislike her.
* Len avoids the Halls of Lustful Acts and Lustful Behavior ever since she read a doujin where Shiki tried to molest her and still did it ''even after transforming into a cat''. Shiki has since assured her that he would never do that, but Len still avoids the lust-centric Halls anyway.
* The other gods have noted that after [[Anime/CarnivalPhantasm that one time]] when Len, Caster and Souichirou were together, the three of them look like a happy family when they're together. They've also noted that Len looks like a younger version of Caster.

* Complicated Relations: [[Pantheon/{{Canines}} Moro]], [[Pantheon/{{Ungulates}} Okkoto]]
* GoodCounterpart to: [[Pantheon/FacialAttributes The Cheshire Cat]]
* Alongside Totoro, the Catbus is another mysterious magical creature that the Kusakabe sisters befriended when they moved to the country for their sick mother's health. When Satsuki fought with Mei over their mother not being able to come home yet, Mei ran away, and the Catbus helped Satsuki by taking her to where Mei was, and then took them to the hospital so they could see their mother.
* Presumably, Totoro, alongside Satsuki and Mei's fervent wishes, had a hand in getting Catbus to ascend. But whatever the case, he showed up quite suddenly one day as the sisters were returning home from the House of School to take them home to their temple. The two young girls were overcome with happiness at his appearance, especially when they found out he was here to stay as he took up residence in the Hall of Felines.
* Catbus' trope used to belong to his former Hall-mate Big the Cat, but it was later determined that the purple cat's girth was more horizontal than vertical, and a cat roughly the size of an adult human isn't quite as impressive as a cat the size of a bus. Big barely seemed to notice (or care about) the trope change, though. After the Catbus' ascension it's not at all unusual to see all the cat deities, including Big, taking advantage of his large, fluffy bulk during their nap time.
** Firestar and his fellow Clan cats were at first frightened of him due to his automobile characteristics, which made them think he was an EldritchAbomination, but they got used to it and are now in awe of the Catbus, thinking him to be an envoy of [=StarClan=]; the fact that the Catbus neither confirms nor denies this doesn't help. Garfield is also in awe of him, but more because he can't fathom where the Catbus gets all that energy to run around. Meanwhile, Salem is trying to come up with some witty remark about the fact that Catbus is a cat and a bus; he's sure there's a joke in there somewhere, he just can't think of it right now.
** Is also quite a welcome addition by various cat lovers. Steven Universe got all starry-eyed that Catbus was way bigger than his Lion and looked like his favorite snack, Cookie Cats. Haruka Kotoura loves Catbus a lot as well, but is puzzled that she can't seem to read his mind.
* He's very popular with kids in the Pantheon and was offered employment as a school bus. But, as is typical for cats, it seems he only does it when he feels like it. However Valerie Frizzle seems to succeed in being persuasive with him. Adults like him too, but when they try meeting him face-to-face, most of them only see an old, rickety bus. The Catbus also has a son, Kittenbus, who's a miniature version of his father and rivals him in popularity due to sheer cuteness. Some deities think he could be used as transportation for MouseWorld deities, but he's likely still too young for the responsibility.
* Due to being a magical cat with a huge grin eternally plastered on his face, it was only a matter of time before the comparisons to the Cheshire Cat started pouring in. However, even though it's easy to mistrust the Catbus due to his creepy appearance, he really is a lot more reliable and well-intentioned than the Cheshire Cat is, as his history with the Kusakabe sisters proves. The Catbus is not at all amused at being compared to the Cheshire Cat with his tendency to cause trouble for no clear reason. Although, the two cats don't really antagonize each other, maybe because the Cheshire Cat claims to care about Alice now. And speaking of Alice, she likes the Catbus a lot for reminding her of the Cheshire Cat while being more dependable, and she functions as a pacifying element between the two cats.
* Upon meeting with other magical animals who shared the same creator as him, there were varied reactions, with Moro and Okkoto rather despising that a cat mixed himself with human technology, while the tanuki of Tama Hill find the concept to be neat, and they also really enjoy going on joyrides in him, which can get a bit annoying for the Catbus, resulting in him forcefully ejecting them. Other human Ghibli deities accepted him with little to no question.
* Like Totoro, the Catbus isn't really the fighting type, and if the Kusakabe sisters were put in danger he'd probably just quickly carry them out of the area. Still, one should probably not push a cat of his size too far.
* Has been noted to be the basis behind Appa's creation, both being large and soft mammals with more legs than normal that are used for transportation. If they're not being goaded into getting into a race, they might be sleeping together, causing many "aww's" at the sight of the two furry lumps leaning against each other.
* Despite his large girth, he's quite capable of climbing trees; it comes as a shock that they don't just bend over with his weight. Same thing applies to the roofs of temples; he's scared the bejesus out of quite some deities when they realized there's a huge shape looming over them (but calm down when they see it's just Catbus).

* Along with Veigue Lungberg, Eugene was responsible in collectively punching out the personification of Racism, Yuris. It's also by Veigue's recommendation that Eugene ascended. All in all, he remains as a shining example of anti-racism movements out there.
* Saying any sort of racist remarks around Eugene is a very bad idea, because not only does Eugene know very well how to use a spear, but his force of steel also gives tremendous strength to his hands, making him capable of shattering boulders.
** In addition, should that force go out of control, gods have been warned, Eugene will burst into [[UnstoppableRage a murderous rampage]]. It's not pretty. At all.
* Eugene gets along well with other deities who've been discriminated against, such as Makoto Nanaya, and Raine Sage.
** While Eugene doesn't believe Ange should hate most humans, he admits that she has very good reason to hate the humans that abuse magic and look down on regular humans for not being able to use magic.
* Eugene doesn't mind fighting Augus, because Augus doesn't care about racial differences and believes Eugene is a skilled fighter, but at the same time, Eugene wishes that someone who [[Creator/UnshoIshizuka sounds similar]] to himself wasn't so battle-thirsty.
** Though he's fine with him, Eugene wishes that if there's a yell of [[BigOMG "OH MY GOD!!"]], they'd correctly look to [[Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure Old Joseph Joestar]] instead, because Eugene doesn't scream like that. Though a panther yelling that would look amusing.
** Eugene outright hates Heihachi, not only due to [[Creator/UnshoIshizuka their similar voices]] but also due to all the terrible things he's done to his children, and Eugene would have no issues with impaling him on his spear. Even worse, in the past, Heihachi used to [[Creator/DaisukeGori sound the same like a certain evil Gajuma he knew of]].
* Since Eugene always wants to be ready for anything at a moment's notice, he'll frequently be sparring with other spear users of the Pantheon such as Lancer, Vert and Jade Curtiss.
* Eugene was very surprised when [[Pantheon/SingersAndPerformers Yui Hirasawa]] started hugging him for no apparent reason. When Eugene asked Yui why she did it, she responded:
--->"You just looked so cuddly and huggable, I couldn't resist."
* One of the very few things that can actually annoy Eugene is if he asks someone a question and his question is answered with another question.
--->"I'm unamused you answered my question with another question."
* Unlike [[VideoGame/StarCraft Jim Raynor]], Eugene carries his name with pride, not embarrassed by it.

* On good terms with: The rest of the Hall of Felines
* Opposed by: [[Pantheon/WeaponWielding Shirou Emiya]]
* Firestar was once a housecat named Rusty who dreamed (sometimes literally) of living wild and free in the forest. He got his wish when he met the cats of [=ThunderClan=], who invited him to join. Now, the Clans are not normally tolerant of housecats... but Firestar's destiny was indelibly connected to the forest in accordance to a prophecy by [=StarClan=], and Bluestar, the [=ThunderClan=] leader at the time, knew this. Firestar would go on to fulfill his destiny and save the Clans, becoming known as a great and compassionate leader afterward.
* For the CatsHaveNineLives trope, it was determined that the representing deity should be one who has proven that they were indeed gifted with nine lives, namely by having gone through all of them. Bluestar advised the gods to look to her universe for such a representative, as all Clan leaders are bestowed with nine lives to better serve their Clan. She especially recommended Firestar for the job, arguing that his accomplishments make him worthy of a spot in the Pantheon. The Court of Gods reviewed his case and had to agree.
* And speaking of Bluestar, Firestar is very happy that his former leader, mentor and cat who brought him into the forest in the first place is in the Pantheon as well. Seeing what she's ascended for, he can remember well being one of a mere handful of cats privy to what was once Bluestar's most closely guarded secret. Bluestar was also the cat who gave him his ninth life.
* As far as other cats go:
** Bluestar introduced him to Francis and Firestar was very impressed with his quick wit and how he stopped a cat supremacist's plans (he couldn't miss the parallels between Claudandus and Tigerstar). He told him he could easily become a Clan cat if he so wished. Francis was flattered, but said he still prefers the comforts of living with humans.
** He basically wants to at least be on good terms with every member of the Hall of Felines and the other cats scattered around the Pantheon. Because of his AllLovingHero tendencies, this has been working out well for him, even managing to make an ally out of the prickly Salem. Firestar's surprisingly fond of Salem's sarcasm, as it reminds him of Yellowfang. He's also good friends with Eugene Gallardo for being an honorable warrior and a CoolOldGuy who reminds him of Whitestorm, his first deputy.
** Wonders if Len isn't an envoy of [=StarClan=], especially with her ability to weave dreams, which are [=StarClan=]'s favorite method of sending messages. The familiar isn't talking, though she doesn't dislike Firestar.
* Is surprised to be compared to Simba so often (and also honored, as Clans have great respect for lions and other big cats). This is likely because both are feline leaders, even though their personal histories are really quite different (Firestar never ran away from his Clan or his responsibilities, for one). By his turn, Simba thinks that Firestar is an upstanding leader. Both could also relate to the trouble they had with their daughters having a romantic relationship with someone connected to their worst enemies.
** He also holds the highest regard for Simba's father Mufasa, of course. The late king's wisdom rather reminds him of Bluestar.
* On the other hand, Scar just makes Firestar's fur stand on end, as Scar's actions bring back memories of his sworn enemy Tigerstar and how he tried to murder Bluestar to make himself leader and take over the Clans. Firestar is determined to fight alongside Simba and Mufasa to stop him if he ever tries anything funny.
** Another villainous deity who Firestar finds alarmingly similar to Tigerstar is Oda Nobunaga (the Demon King one), given their brutal attempts to unite their people and how they both went to hell and plotted their revenge from there.
* Shirou Emiya treats him with some amount of suspicion for not dying when killed, ''eight times''. It's just not natural in his opinion. Firestar has explained to him that leaders only have nine lives so they can live long for the sake of their Clans, but Shirou remains doubtful.
* As leader, his policies can be summed up as be at peace with the other Clans, help them when they need it and work together with them to solve problems. Even when he was barely a warrior, he did such things as take prey from his own territory to feed a rival Clan that was going through a famine or let sick cats stay hidden inside his territory until a cure was found. Such actions received much praise from other {{All Loving Hero}}es like Aang, Steven Universe, Kamen Riders Fourze and Kuuga.
* His reputation and actions as a kind-hearted but still firm leader caught the attention of other like-minded leaders like Simon, Artanis and Liu Bei. In particular, Firestar, Simon and Artanis understand just how tough it can be to be the one who makes the decisions.
* Like Bluestar, he's very interested in Romeo and Juliet's tale given how common such a situation is in the Clans. Unlike Bluestar, he didn't go through such a romance, but his best friend Graystripe and his daughter Leafpool did, and they suffered a lot for it.
* On a lighter note, he was never the sharpest tool in the box when it came to noticing she-cats' affections for him, so he has developed a rapport with Ichika Orimura over their shared love troubles.
* One of the most difficult things Firestar had to do in his mortal life was lead the Clans in abandoning the original forest territory where their ancestors had settled because of Twolegs invading and uprooting it with their machines. They even poisoned the Clans' food sources and tried to capture some of their number. Because of this, he detests Mr. Burns and Looten Plunder for destroying animals' homes for their own profit.
** On the other hand, this "cat exodus" (known in his universe as the Great Journey) drew the attention of Moses. While they were discussing it, Firestar admitted how tough it was to travel over mountains and other unknown territory, guided only by the signs of [=StarClan=]. Moses thinks he did well to persevere and not lose faith.
* When not attending to his duties in his temple, he, together with Bluestar, can be found relaxing in the lush forest of the House of Pantheon/{{Plants}}, the place that most reminds them of home.

* It's a miracle Garfield ever gets anything done, what with being an anthropomorphic cat ''and'' only being awake for a single hour on any given day. Most of his handiwork involves mailing cute things to third-world countries, and doing so again and again whenever [[TheCatCameBack they get sent back to him]]...postage due.
* Habitually raids the House of Food, primarily for lasagna and other Italian cuisine (including [[MemeticMutation lots of spaghetti.]]). However, he keeps getting caught due to his constant nap attacks.
* [[HatingOnMonday Really, REALLY, hates Mondays.]] Also hates the pig Napoleon, who he finds too mean-spirited (just to annoy him, whenever Napoleon decides to pester him Garfield calls him [[Comicstrip/UsAcres Orson]]).
* Once in a while, other Gods can find him stuck up a tree.
* Ungoliant utterly despises him for crushing other spiders with a newspaper. The monster spider Muffet also has it out for him due to this tendency.
* Despite being iconic newspaper comic strip characters, Garfield is not on good terms with Snoopy. This has partially to do with [[AnimalJingoism the general rivalry between cats and dogs]].
* Has been seen eating pizza with [[Pantheon/{{Reptiles}} the Ninja Turtles]], who he liked to reference back in ''Westernanimation/GarfieldAndFriends'' (they even prefer to not mention [[https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/004/716/462/large/gary-barker-garfieldturtles.jpg?1485755996 that time he tried to pass as a turtle]]), and other deities have found some CommonalityConnection between Garfield and [[Pantheon/HuntersAndSlayers Ghostbuster Peter Venkman]].
* Some of his followers believe that he is secretly an EldritchAbomination hell-bent on world destruction if not appeased with lasagna. The [[Pantheon/{{Otherness}} SCP Foundation]] has also identified such a thing as SCP-3166, a horrifying being that looks like Garfield whose organs are made of lasagna. Garfield, being the lazy, uncaring bum he is, hasn't commented on these rumors.
** Despite this, though, he is an absolute die-hard fan of Beerus to the point he will willingly share his food with him. When asked, Garfield merely stated that the fact that any cat being one of, if not the most powerful beings in a universe, commanding respect and food, is definitely something that he agrees with and supports.
*** He is also a big fan of Robbie Rotten and utterly supports in his goal to make everyone lazy. Can often be seen with him in his temple doing, what else, nothing, or ordering out pizza.
* Unsurprisingly had a fan in Grif, who is also an orange-coloured lazy glutton. Both have spent time eating junk food while playing first-person shooters.
* While a bit annoyed that Odie's ascension meant a return to being licked in a regular basis, Garfield was happy for his canine friend, though he made sure his ascension party was held near a ledge so he could kick the dog off it.
* After one too many attempts at trying to order pizza and not being understood by anyone, he decided to just petition for Jon's ascension so he can do it for him. The only downside was that Liz was also brought up with him, as a co-god. Garfield is normally ok with her now, as long as she doesn't prescribe him any diets.

* Afraid of: [[Pantheon/{{Consumption}} Monstro, Deviljho]]
* Tense relations: [[Pantheon/{{Mammals}} Toon Patrol]]
* A trio of hyenas who have food on their mind most of the time, they originally worked for Scar under the promise that they would get as much food as they liked. Unfortunately for them, Scar proved to be so ineffective as a king that there wasn't much food left and when he was cornered by Simba, Scar pinned the blame on the hyenas. They turned against him as soon as they heard him say that. Also, the hyenas are prone to laughing at random moments, Ed more so than the others.
** Apart from Ed, the other members of the main hyena group consist of Shenzi, the supposed leader of the group, and Banzai, who is the other guy in the trio that includes Ed. There are some other hyenas that are probably not related to them such as [[WesternAnimation/TheLionGuard Janja]], but for now, the three and a number of other hyenas that follow them are present.
* They are known to be highly hungry to the point where they're still hungry even after they eat something. When they heard of a House of Food, they immediately ran to the place and ate a lot of the food there. This earned them a scolding from a few members there and the hyenas were told to take it easy on how fast they can chow down on the meals there. They were also given a limit on how much they can eat from the house per day.
** Despite that, the hyenas are afraid of a couple of members of that house: Monstro and Deviljho, given that the two are hungrier than the hyenas on a much more substantial scale. Monstro would try to eat the hyenas alive if they get too close to the whale and Deviljho will chase them around the house and other parts of the Pantheon at random intervals.
* The Toon Patrol is not on the best of terms with the hyenas, given that the Patrol is trying to prevent unnecessary laughter from happening to them since they would be like their "idiot hyena cousins". The fact that [[DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment the hyenas are actual hyenas and laugh like actual hyenas]][[labelnote:note]]even though real-life hyenas use their "laughter" as a form of communication; it's not known if these particular hyenas do that in addition to talking normally (unless it's [[TheUnintelligible Ed]])[[/labelnote]] made the weasels wary of having increased unnecessary laughing fits.
* Having heard of someone with the nickname of "Crazy Hyena", the trio decided to see what it was all about. They were a bit disappointed upon realizing that it referred to [[Pantheon/{{Travel}} Yukiko Amagi]] and not someone related to their hyena brethren. As the hyenas were leaving, some sort of mishap happened and Banzai got caught in it. Shenzi and Ed, along with Yukiko who was close by, found it funny. Banzai obviously didn't think so.
* Even though they look like dogs and somehow act like those kinds of animals, they are not actually related to them and have a bit more in common with cats (though they aren't felines as well). Most of the cat deities don't care about them and a lot of the other canines would rather keep their distance from them.
** Arguably, the only canine that gets along with them decently is Wile E. Coyote, since he knows what it's like to be perpetually hungry and fail at trying to get some good food in his stomach.
* They are good friends with Team Rocket, by virtue of being another ostensibly evil trio that has a certain goal in mind, but fails more often than not in achieving it.
* After hearing of how Ripper Roo decided not to ally himself with Scar due to reasons, the hyenas decided to pay him a visit. They've gotten along with each other not only because of their tendency to laugh randomly and enjoy each other's antics, but also the fact that they were never allied with their original bosses to begin with, though for different reasons.
* Given what happened to them in their initial journey, they don't like lions at all. In turn, the handful of lions present in the Pantheon in addition to Simba are not fond of them.
* As Harley Quinn owned hyenas for pets at points in time, she was happy to hear that there were actual hyenas in the Pantheon. This trio has taken a liking towards her and have been seen hanging out with Harley.
** These hyenas also like to be with Selina Kyle on certain occasions. [[WesternAnimation/TheBatman She was able to tame hyenas that were owned by The Joker at one point]], so she seems to have some understanding of them.
* Don't confuse this Ed for [[Pantheon/FriendshipAndCamaraderie another Ed that's part of a different trio]]. About the only thing that the two Eds have in common is that they are kind of stupid, but even then, [[ObfuscatingStupidity it's possible according to some that the hyena (and possibly the human) may not be as stupid as he appears to be]].
* One of their strangest encounters came from meeting the [[Pantheon/TheatreAndSpectacle Warner Siblings]]. It's one thing to say that they are a trio of weirdos. It's another thing when [[Creator/RobPaulsen Banzai & Yakko]] and [[Creator/TressMacNeille Shenzi & Dot]] share a voice to some extent. Considering that the Hyenas' meeting with the siblings ended badly for the hyenas (something had to have happened that made the Warners do their trademark antics on the hyenas), it's not something that they're willing to talk about.
* The House of Pantheon/BetrayalAndTreachery took note of the fact that these three hyenas and the others who were serving under Scar turned against that lion after he put the blame on them over how the Pridelands turned out. Suffice to say, the hyenas are content to work with others, as long as food is involved. If something goes wrong (like the leader whom the hyenas are working for is a BadBoss), then the hyenas have no issues turning against their former superior.
* Although they are typically seen on all fours, they are sometimes seen standing on two legs like a normal human. On rare occasions during these instances, they actually wear clothes like humans do, which has weirded out a few deities who were used to seeing them act on four legs.

* The Jellicle Cats are a very proud feline tribe who gather once a year in an event called the Jellicle Ball, in which several cats compete to be the one chosen to go to the Heaviside Layer and reincarnate in a new Jellicle life. The competition largely consists of the cats singing about themselves and each other, making their arguments as to why they should be chosen. In the end, their ancient leader Old Deuteronomy designates the winner. One particular year saw some unusual events, with the criminal mastermind cat Macavity throwing things into disarray by kidnapping Old Deut, and an old, regretful and shunned cat called Grizabella moving everyone's hearts with her plea to be accepted and be allowed to start anew.
* So Grizabella got her new Jellicle life and became the youngest member of the tribe, with Jemima and Victoria becoming her honorary big sisters as they insisted on looking after her. Still, Grizabella sometimes disappeared out of their sights, making the young cats panic, only to reappear again unharmed. Jemima and Victoria eventually got curious enough to follow Grizabella and discovered the Pantheon, where Grizabella had gotten herself a temple for her spectacular performance in the last Jellicle Ball. They managed to convince their tribemates to come see the place, which they thought was the Heaviside Layer opening up to all of them (there was some difficulty convincing the older members, but they were eventually overwhelmed by the curiosity of the younger). The Main House noted the new arrivals with satisfaction (theater deities still being relatively rare at the time) and determined they would all share the CatConcerto trope.
* This singing and dancing clowder was at first regarded with bewilderment by a lot of felines in the Pantheon due to their strange appearances and culture. [=ThunderClan=] leader Firestar, in his usual open-minded manner, decided to be the one to break the ice and welcome the Jellicle Cats, expressing curiosity about their ways. Munkustrap, Old Deut's NumberTwo and overall a more present authority figure to the Jellicles, hit it off right away with Firestar, both being compassionate, steady and reasonable leaders of their groups. Thanks to their influence, the Jellicles and the Warrior Cats (who tend to mistakenly refer to the Jellicles as [=JellicleClan=] and Munkustrap as Munkustar) have pretty good relations with each other, with them realizing they are not so different through their communal living and worship of the Heaviside Layer and [=StarClan=] respectively (although a few less tolerant warriors still deride the Jellicles as kittypets). At length the Egyptian goddess Bastet made it clear that the Jellicles filled her with pride because they exemplified the cat's lifestyle perfectly, which led to their acceptance by most of the felines in the Pantheon.
* Mice and assorted rodents have more to fear with the Jellicles' ascension, but they've also gained a protector in Jennyanydots, a grandmotherly cat who believes in putting vermin to good use rather than exterminating them. She can't help but shake her head at Tom the cat's follies in chasing Jerry, as she thinks Tom has the potential for a Gumbie Cat but keeps squandering it. Jerry the mouse thinks of Jennyanydots as a nice lady who won't eat him, although he doesn't like being put to work by her and will try to get out of it at the smallest chance. Regarding other mice, Jennyanydots holds Mrs. Brisby in high regard for being a devoted mother and being one mouse who is not in need of her guidance to keep from "wanton destroyment". There's also Fievel Mousekewitz, who Jennyanydots dotes on because of his age and going through a lot in his adventures. Although Brisby and Fievel were naturally afraid of the Gumbie Cat at first, and remain afraid of the other, less scrupulous Jellicles, they've come to trust in her protection, and Jennyanydots has made it clear to her fellow Jellicles that those mice are off-limits.
** Jennyanydots is known for rehabilitating beetles and cockroaches in the same way. Sadly, [[BigCreepyCrawlies the ones in the Pantheon may be too much for her to handle]], which didn't stop her from attempting to go and scold the Terraformars for how destructive they are. The combined strength of the Jellicles couldn't stop her from doing so either, but fortunately [=HerakleKabuterimon=] was nearby and effectively dissuaded the Terraformars from trying anything violent. At least Jennyanydots got proof in [=HerakleKabuterimon=] that there were some truly gentlemanly beetles, a compliment that would make the Digimon blush if it had the capacity.
* Jellicles are pretty stereotypical cats in their dislike of dogs, who they refer to variably as Pekes or Pollicles and with whom the Jellicles supposedly once had an "awefull battle". That said, at least one Jellicle seems to have made a canine friend since entering the Pantheon, and of course it had to be Rum Tum Tugger, the cat who marches to the sound of his own drum. The canine friend is Charlie B. Barkin, who Tugger met at the site of a party when he was out and about one night looking for something new to do. The two got along quickly, both being mischievous party animals and somewhat hedonistic but ultimately well-meaning. The Jellicles don't entirely approve of this friendship, but given it's Tugger, they find it pointless to try to put a stop to it since he'll just get up to a different brand of trouble.
* Still on the topic of canines, Chibiterasu once blundered into their territory and Jemima and Victoria found him so adorable that they wanted to keep him, despite disapproval from their elders. Then his mother Amaterasu came to get him, and the Jellicles, just to make sure she knew they weren't cowed by a mutt, claimed they were totally holding Chibiterasu hostage. Luckily Amaterasu had offerings of fish and meat, which as it happens is just the ticket to getting in the Jellicles' good graces and they let Chibiterasu go without further hassle. The Jellicles only later learned they could have potentially pissed off a sun goddess, but if anything the fact that they got away with it made them more puffed-up. Despite everything, Chibiterasu keeps occasionally dropping by as he has taken a liking to Jemima and Victoria, which Amaterasu seems okay with, presumably knowing the Jellicles wouldn't truly try to hurt either her or her son (they highly appreciate her offerings besides).
* Gus is esteemed as one of the oldest cats among the Jellicles, as well as for his apparently quite successful acting career. This has made him highly admired and respected by Danny and Sawyer, two cats who are in the acting business themselves. Danny and Sawyer have good relationships with all the Jellicle cats, as they all have a fondness for dancing and singing out their emotions, but it's with Gus that they have the closest friendship. Danny in particular drinks in every bit of advice that Gus dispenses and doesn't even seem to mind Gus' occasional crabbiness at how young cats these days wouldn't have what it takes to thrive in his time. Sawyer in turn has hit it off with Gus' usual minder Jellylorum, a pragmatic, no-nonsense, but warm sort of cat not unlike Sawyer herself.
* Skimbleshanks is, in his mind and the minds of all the Jellicles, the one who makes sure all the trains run properly. In truth, he probably just hunts for vermin inside the carriages. Either way, Skimbleshanks is very cheerful and enthusiastic about his work and is well-employed at the House of Travel, playing a part in making all the trains more pleasant to ride in. This puts him on good terms with all the train-related deities, particularly Thomas the Tank Engine after an incident where the locomotive complained of an "itch" in its insides and Skimbleshanks took care of it. Skimbleshanks also has a predilection for the young boy-cats Giovanni and Campanella and their AfterlifeExpress, and believes them to have been especially blessed by the Heaviside Layer. Giovanni and Campanella don't know about that, but they enjoy listening to Skimbleshanks go on about trains at any rate.
* Mr. Mistoffelees is one of the tribe's few magical cats; the twins Coricopat and Tantomile, as well as Macavity, have similar supernatural abilities. Such abilities are often of help to the tribe in spotting danger or thwarting Macavity, as seen when Mistoffelees saved Old Deut by magicking him away from Macavity's grasp. That said, Mistoffelees sometimes suffers from lack of confidence that his abilities aren't good enough. This causes him to admire Atsuko Kagari, who remains cheerfully determined to become a great witch despite everything pointing to her being inept at it. Atsuko herself is wowed by Mistoffelees' magic and thinks he's something like the cat equivalent of Shiny Chariot, for which she praises him quite effusively, much to Mistoffelees' embarrassment.
* The elusive Macavity has reputedly broken every human law, including that of gravity (this is according to the Jellicles, who do have a knack for the melodramatic). He's probably not even considered a Jellicle anymore (if he ever was), but either way he's ascended with them and keeps bringing them problems and shame, especially around the time of the Jellicle Ball. Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer sometimes associate with him, which somehow hasn't gotten them kicked out of the tribe. Macavity draws comparisons to Moriarty and Ratigan due to his status as a DiabolicalMastermind, being essentially the cat version of them. Seeing as how the last time he tried messing with the Jellicles on his own didn't go down so well for him, he thinks it wise to associate with those fellow masterminds. Things can get pretty strained between the three though, especially between Macavity and Ratigan, seeing as the latter is, well, a rat, leading to there being a bitter rivalry between the two, which Moriarty can be bothered to smooth over only when necessary for their teamwork.

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: [[Pantheon/ExtrovertCharacterization Eustace Bagge]]
* This is Katz, a tall anthropomorphic cat who is both a ConMan and a SerialKiller, relishing in spreading misery to others. As one of the most recurrent foes that Courage has faced, he proved the belief that cats are not just mean but can be evil, and after some manual review (and convincing from Katz himself), Katz ascended to the Pantheon with the intention to keep doing what he does best: carrying out evil schemes.
* His temple is just a recreation of Katz Motel, intended for those who get lost in the House of Pantheon/BeastsAndFauna and require some rest. However, he actually just feeds the residents to his pet spiders, and after some such incidents, people rarely come by. Courage was the one to find out (a bit too late) that Katz had ascended, and first thing he did was to run towards Muriel, and then the Pantheon authorities, to tell them about the dangerous feline. Katz intends to get rid of Courage whenever he has the chance.
* Has several pet spiders that he usually feeds his victims to, so in a weird (but not entirely unexpected) turn of events, the Hall of Pantheon/{{Arthropods}} is on relatively good terms with Katz. Some of the nicer members are a bit wary of him, particularly Muffet after that one time she visited Katz's spiders and almost fell into one of his traps (thankfully, the spiders weren't hostile to her).
* Naturally despises dogs, usually preventing any from entering any temple he is in with a "No Dogs allowed" sign. This may be partly because he is a feline, but considering how many times he was foiled by Courage, it became mostly a force of habit to kick out dogs from his vicinity. Of course, Katz is not welcome in the Hall of Pantheon/{{Canines}}, not that he ever really had an interest in that Hall in the first place.
* Quickly discovered more of his brethren that weren't particularly [[CatsAreMean nice]]. While not the same kind of cat he seems to be, he seems to get along with both Scar and Shere Khan, with all three sharing a cunning wit and a very threatening demeanor. However, he is a lot closer to Mordecai Heller, another anthropomorphic cat with the same cold personality and lack of empathy towards others, Katz has considered hiring Mordecai to get rid of some of his more annoying enemies, with Courage (of course) at the top of the list.
** He is seen as a bit of an odd one by the deities from the Literature/WarriorCats universe considering his humanoid appearance. However, the fact that Katz is a dangerous deity was enough to put him at odds with most of them, with Firestar and Bluestar taking a firm stance against Katz. Didn't help that he seems to get along with Scourge, who grew interested in Katz after hearing about him.
* It seems that his constants attempts at conning people had garnered the attention of Francis, another regular cat who while an AmateurSleuth he has been keeping up with Katz's activities, even foiling a few while teaming up with Courage. Katz didn't take kindly to that and tried to get rid of Francis plenty of times but to no avail. At least he recognizes him as a WorthyOpponent.
* While he firmly hates both Courage and Muriel, Katz has a more complicated relation to Eustace. Normally he could care less about Eustace but there was that one time he organized a plan with other villains to take down Courage and Katz was involved.
* The only canine he ever considered working with was Dag but only because of some PragmaticVillainy reasons. He recognizes that Dag can be a pretty terrifying deity and that both share the same knack for spreading misery for their own personal amusement but Katz isn't really that fond of him in the first place.
* Usually likes to challenge his victims to a game of sport and he tends to be pretty good at it. Whenever he is not casually committing crimes, he tends to go to the House of Pantheon/{{Sports}} but he isn't really welcome there.
* Was approached by Ratigan with an interesting proposal. Ratigan became interested in staying in Katz Motel in order to lure his ArchEnemy Basil into a death trap and the fact that Katz is a cat would help him greatly. Of course, while Katz considering double-crossing Ratigan and feed him to his pets, the fact that Basil and his partner Dawson could prove troublesome made him accept the offer.
* One time he worked as a submarine captain with the attention of sabotaging the trip and killing all the passengers inside. However, he was foiled once again by Courage and eaten by a shark (he got better). He tried to pull a similar scheme by getting involved in the Nautilus by upstaging Captain Nemo and replacing him. He was almost successful but Katz didn't expect that Nemo would be tougher than expected and managed to drive the feline away, swearing to get back at Katz one day.

** Initially, Tiger was ascended to the [[Pantheon/{{Food}} House of Food]] to reign over the VegetarianCarnivore trope, but it was eventually decided by the Court of the Gods that BuffoonishTomcat fit him better (though it was agreed that he should not be told the name of the trope). 416** After Libby Chessler's ascension, he sometimes helps Sabrina to get back at her worst enemy. Although this being [[InvincibleIncompetent Sabrina]] and [[KarmaHoudini Libby]], this tends to be fruitless due to [[StatusQuoIsGod the power of the Status Quo]].
* People wondered how his and Sabrina's positions work; specifically, how Salem can have a temple of his own when he is by default required to be at Sabrina's side most of the time. Salem only sarcastically asked them, "What makes you think this much sarcasm can be so easily contained in such a small body?" It turns out that Sabrina solves this problem by taking Salem's [[AdaptationDisplacement lesser known]] [[Comicbook/SabrinaTheTeenageWitch comicbook]] version to her temple while letting the live-action version manage his own temple.
* Recently earned the ire of Sash Lilac after he sarcastically asked her whether she is an alien or a dragon.

-->'''Salem''': Honestly, I'm not sure if he can even read, but whatever.
* He originally wanted to take over the CatsAreMean temple, as he feels that is much more fitting, considering he was once an evil warlock. However, the Pantheon pointed out that he's currently a cat with no magic powers, so his plans are usually limited to taking advantage of others and being petty. They also noted that he has such a strong and friendly relationship with the Spellmans and Sabrina's friends that he doesn't really qualify for the temple. Since then, Salem has been trying to prove that he is still mean to the other gods to take over the place.
** Also resents Cat for "stealing" the CoolCat temple and the two can often be found fighting about which one of them is cooler.

* Admires Scar for actually ''succeeding'' in his plan to take over the Pride Lands. However, Salem is annoyed that the lion allowed his home to become such a wasteland and asked him, "Why did you put so much effort into taking over the place if you can't manage it?" He had a similar reaction to Napoleon (for different reasons than other animal and animal-related deities, as Salem doesn't consider himself an animal) as the pig led the farm to fall apart and utterly failed to establish a proper lasting authority.
** Because of Salem's admiration for Scar as well as being too similar to the wicked lion, Simba is very wary of Salem and tries to avoid any contact with his temple. It didn't help when Salem discovered Simba's "Hakuna Matata" phase and laughed uncontrollably, condescendingly asking how [[FridgeLogic a growing lion could survive on bugs alone]].
* Is [[GreenEyedMonster jealous]] of Len since she can turn into human ''and'' has magic power in her cat form.
* Can sometimes be seen hitting on [[Pantheon/AnthropomorphicAnimals Cheetah]]; he claims she is his type, and that she makes both his human and feline sides purr.
** Also once flirted with Eugene Gallardo after discovering that [[ComicBook/AfterlifeWithArchie one of his versions]] is [[AdaptationalSexuality bi-curious]]. However, Eugene turned him down, as he didn't feel comfortable having someone that only stood up to his ankle as a romantic partner.
* Get along well with Bugs Bunny, Oswald and Sun Wukong for their shared love of pranks and mischief. The four of them usually go around pranking the Pantheon. One particular prank earned Salem the ire of Sherlock Holmes; he replaced the detective's favorite pipe with his own bubble-blowing one. After Sherlock coughed up some of the bubble fluid, he kicked the cat out (not literally, but Salem was still pretty sore about it).
* He can usually be seen lurking around the Jasmine Dragon tea shop recently. Nobody knows why. Iroh doesn't chase him away as he is too much of a CoolOldGuy, and instead pets Salem whilst giving him a small dish of milk. One time, though, Iroh returned to his cabinet and noticed that his new popular ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catnip Nepeta cataria]]''-flavored tea mysteriously weighed less than what he ordered...
* Takes great joy in constantly calling out (and inventing new) [[EmbarrassingNickname embarrassing nicknames]] for Chibiterasu, much to the latter's annoyance and embarrassment.
* Interestingly, [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff several deities hailing from Japan seem to enjoy Salem's alternate theme]], "Here Comes Sabrina".

* At Hoagy’s Alley in Manhattan there lives a colorful assortment of alley cats led by Top Cat. With other members consisting of best friend Benny the Ball, soft-spoken Choo Choo, dim-witted Brain, mellow Spook, and womanizer Fancy Fancy, these cats concoct a variety of schemes to get themselves richer. Their most persistent obstacle is Officer Dibble, who tries and fails to get the cats evicted from their alley and often ends up involved in their plans. TC’s plans often end up leading to unforeseen consequences, so it's up to him and his gang of cats to use their wits to get away from whatever problem is coming their way.
* One day, a mail truck ended up losing some letters in an accident and a few of those missing letters ended up in Hoagy’s Alley thanks to windy weather. TC went through the letters with his feline friends and while most of them were addressed to someone, there was a letter that had blank postage and it wasn’t clear who it was addressed to. The letter in question promised whoever it was supposed to have been sent to a great life in a place known as the Pantheon, something that intrigued TC and the gang. When Officer Dibble showed up and questioned TC on what was happening, TC claimed not only was that the letter that ended up in his paws was missing and that he was trying to look for whoever it was addressed to, but that several other letters that fell off the truck were stolen by some burglar. After Dibble went off to try and find the (most likely non-existent) thief, TC and his gang went off in their own direction to get the matter of that Pantheon letter resolved. They reached a post office, where a worker told them that since whoever sent that Pantheon application letter never bothered to specify who it was for, TC can submit it back and get it accepted. Even after being told that the Pantheon was a lot closer to them than they think, TC and the gang were content with staying in their alley, but don’t mind continuing their schemes in a setting with many more locales they’ve never heard of.
* TC and his gang have encountered plenty of other felines throughout their various schemes and the Pantheon had plenty of notable cats. A few of them even utilize similar cons as the ones TC uses to try and gain something, but as TC and the gang learned, not every cat was friendly enough to hang out with. Katz was one such cat that TC and the gang were disturbed by as Katz has used plenty of fake businesses to lure his victims and kill them in disturbing ways rather than just trick them out of their valuables. Given Katz’ tendency to challenge his victims to games, TC and the gang have taken advantage of it to humiliate Katz and put whatever operation he has out of commission, even if Katz finds them to be irritating pests that are trying to scam him out of whatever money he has, if any.
* Claudandus was another cat who TC and the gang have contempt towards is Claudandus as he has goals far darker than simply killing people that get in his way. Claudandus despises humans due being subjected to numerous experiments and believes in feline supremacy and he sees TC and the gang to be impure in many ways thanks to their human-like behavior. TC and his friends believe that a world where felines reign supreme isn’t something worth pursuing to put it lightly and while animal experimentation was something that disturbed them (and they never heard of it beforehand), they believe that what Claudandus is doing with that breeding program of his makes him as bad as whoever did those experiments to him back then. TC and his gang want nothing to do with Claudandus, but given how the Pantheon presents danger greater than what they are used to, their wits are their best option against him if the gang find themselves going up against him.
* Garfield, despite being lazy and selfish most of the time, has taken a liking to TC and the gang’s schtick and has sometimes hung out with them with the gang sometimes providing help for Garfield when he’s outside his home. TC claiming that cat stereotypes include liking lasagna and hating Mondays and hating said “stereotypes”, was something that Garfield had to disagree with and some of Garfield’s behavior is a bit of a problem for the gang at times. While Garfield was someone the gang was willing to hang out with, the same can’t be said regarding Fritz the Cat, who despite having some standards every now and then, is an entitled hedonist and crass towards others. Even though TC and the gang have had a history of wooing female felines as part of their cons, they’re not willing to stoop to Fritz’s level when it comes to the opposite sex and Fritz himself thinks they’re not even trying to look for the finer pleasures of life (which to him equates to sex and drugs).
* Two other comedic cats that the gang regularly met were Sylvester and Tom, both of whom are known for trying to chase a particular kind of prey. The two were no stranger to meeting other cats and they went to TC and the gang in the hopes that they could provide some advice to even the odds against their adversary. Even though TC doesn’t have the most successful plans out of many in the Pantheon, he’s still willing to spend time with the two and even give them something to help out in their chases even if the repeated failures from Tom and Sylvester in their chases are a source of amusement and dismay for TC. By TC’s own admission, he thinks Tom has more potential as a guest member for the gang given how Tom has sometimes had better luck against Jerry under certain circumstances compared to Sylvester. That and Tom being frenemies with Jerry (Sylvester’s frenemy dynamic with Tweety isn’t as pronounced in comparison) was something TC noted considering how he and the gang are similarly frenemies with Dibble even if most of Tom’s interactions with Jerry are much more violent.
* While there were plenty of other cats who TC and the gang have varying opinions of, there were a few humans in the Pantheon that showed a genuine admiration towards cats for the gang to take notice of. Sakaki was one notable cat-lover who got to know TC and his gang when she saw Benny by himself one day and decided to hang out with him. When TC did his meetings with the others, he noticed that Benny wasn’t around and they decided to look for him. By the time they managed to find him, they saw him with a group of human girls with plenty of eccentricities going and Benny enjoyed his time with Sakaki due to her friendliness. Sakaki had her own quirks among her own group of friends and TC and the gang had no animosity towards her over what happened earlier, prompting her to visit the gang in her spare time.
* At their core, TC and the gang are a group of con artists looking to find ways to get rich. This led them to getting caught up with other schemers in the Pantheon wanting to find some way to get more money such as Phoney Bone and Daffy Duck. None of their schemes to get rich end with them actually getting money (even if they try to con each other out of whatever money they temporarily gain), though the mishaps TC and the gang suffer aren’t to the same extent as that as Daffy or Phoney even if the alley cats don’t gain anything in the end. Even some in the Pantheon who are actually rich and own a renowned business such as Mr. Krabs are willing to resort to money-making schemes, leading to TC and the gang to try and make their own quick-and-dirty business that they pass off as reputable to try and get money, but those also don’t work out in the end.
* Dibble served as the main nuisance for TC and his gang and while he wasn’t too much trouble for the gang to the point that they’re friendly towards him much of the time, there were other officers in the Pantheon who were a much bigger problem than he could ever be. While many of these officers do their job properly, others are highly corrupt and are willing to try and get others arrested regardless of whether or not they actually committed any criminal actions. As for specific officers for TC and the others to look out for, there was Judy Hopps, a well-intentioned bunny cop who worked with Nick Wilde, a con artist who later became a cop alongside her and served as the brains of the two. While out on patrol one day, Nick noticed what TC was doing and remarked that it was rather reminiscent of his days as a con artist and in turn, Judy noticed that TC is what would happen if Nick not only continued his con artist ways, but gained some friends outside of her. All things considered, TC and his gang are amicable enough that Nick is willing to talk to them when he isn’t busy and told Judy that if these cats end up getting involved in a crime and encounter another criminal, it’s more than likely that the other criminal is the main target and not the cats, words that Judy put into consideration.
** One of the bigger challenges related to law enforcement that TC and the gang went through was going up against an obnoxious man named Lou Strickland, who used a robot to frame TC for a crime and as Chief of Police, set up a robot police army to basically rule over New York. While TC, his gang, and Dibble were able to thwart Strickland’s reign, there were a plethora of dangerous figures in the Pantheon that could turn the Pantheon into a miserable place for everyone to live in and not only would it be far worse for innocents than simply getting arrested for inane rules, but it will be harder for TC and his friends to take down such a regime. As easygoing as TC and the gang are, considering how Strickland nearly caused the gang to fall apart with TC’s imprisonment, they know that the Pantheon falling into what could be a police state will be a problem and aren’t taking such a risk lightly. Similar to how Dibble helped the gang stop Strickland, TC and the gang have friendly officers and those in law enforcement who know a truly terrible crime when they see one at their side (along with anyone that’s still running around opposed to tyrants) and the cats know it’ll take a lot more than wits to take down such dangerous figures.
* TC and the gang have sometimes met Yogi Bear and his friends a few times before and continue to do so in the Pantheon. TC has sometimes aided Yogi and his friends in their treasure-hunting missions by giving them said assignments, and while TC does keep in touch with Yogi and the gang, it means that TC will be back to doing whatever he is doing with his feline friends after giving them their missions. As much as TC and his gang would like to go on a treasure hunt of their own, there’s still a lot in the Pantheon they would have to get accustomed to. The strange nature of the Pantheon also meant that Spook, Choo Choo, and Brain would sometimes look and act different from normal (with the three becoming girls during those times), but that otherwise doesn’t affect the gang’s plans.

* Not to be confused with: [[Pantheon/VillainousSuccessAndFailure The Meowth from Team Rocket]]
* Meowth is the Scratch Cat Pokémon, a relatively common feline Pokémon in Kanto. Nocturnal in nature and popular pets among the rich, they're distinguished by the lucky golden coin on their forehead. Living incarnations of the ManekiNeko, a charm said to bring good luck and often seen in restaurants, the Trope Pantheon decided to pick a second one up themselves (they couldn't use the Meowth that was already in the Pantheon, because he was part of Team Rocket).
* The Kanto (original-generation) Meowth is the goddess with official status in the pantheon, but she has a spare whenever she's gone; [[VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon her Alolan equivalent]]. This Dark-type iteration was brought in by humans to Alola and can get the Fur Coat ability as an Alolan Persian. It was owned by royalty, [[RoyallyScrewedUp making it rather prideful]].
* Being a lucky cat, Bastet felt that the Pokémon would be a good mascot and partner.
* Belongs to the same species of Pokémon as the talking Meowth that belongs to Team Rocket, but she is the "average" sort of Meowth that can't talk. The trade-off seems to be that she does know Pay Day, the species' signature move, which Team Rocket's Meowth is jealous of. They don't have anything against each other, and sometimes will join in spoils if it involves shiny things. She is sad to have seen him try so hard to get a girl and be rejected, and plans to be nice to him.
* [[Pantheon/VillainousArchetypes Giovanni]] was somewhat disappointed to learn that another Meowth ascended. He prefers Persian, and feels he might be unable to properly ascend his own with two Meowth.
* Being a lucky cat, H.P Lovecraft and Glenn Quagmire are particularly fond of it. Quagmire in particular has her around in part to be more lucky at scoring. He does this around the House of Pantheon/{{Food}}, who look after her to serve as their own ManekiNeko. Quagmire likes to joke [[DoubleEntendre he gets two free servings of Japanese from this bargain]].
-->"Giggity-goo!"
* Unlike the other Meowth, she is not a thief by nature, though doesn't have anything against stealing. She was attracted to both Catwoman and Black Cat due to their cat-burglary, and helped them out on a few capers. Vito Corleone seems to have taken a fondness to the Pokémon as well, though this comes down to her Pickup ability and [[RightHandCat his fondness for cats]].
* Popular in the House of Pantheon/{{Commerce}} for being a lucky figure, and due to its abilities. Members there have had Meowth use Pay Day to help increase their own finances. Her Pickup ability has been very useful as well. Because of its abilities, Mr. Krabs tried to exploit her for items in a similar way he did to Gary the Snail, and while he got away with it for a time [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty this didn't last]] and she beat him with Pay Day for good ironic measure. Cruella [=DeVil=] and Crystal Man are interested in exploiting her as well.
* Very easily distracted and interested in things that are shiny and/or round. It shares this trait with Taokaka and its Hoenn equivalent, Skitty. Feral Meowth and Murkrow are rivals over their interest in shiny things, and the Meowth and Murkrow flock in the Trope Pantheon are no exception. Her interest in round and shiny things also led her to take orbs from the Kecleon Shop without paying. [[CurbStompBattle Guess what happened next?]]
* Attracted to those with a lot of gold and other valuables. Scrooge [=McDuck=] is fine with this, as he could use her in adventures. Smaug, however, was rather irate at the Scratch Cat Pokémon playing with his pile of jewels, and swiftly chased her out with a gout of flame. She ended up in Fafnir's temple, and it was much of the same when Fafnir tried to take her coin.
* Usually very approachable, but has made one rule; never dirty the coin or touch it with grubby hands. Or steal it. [[BerserkButton She will use Breakneck Blitz on you]].
* There have been reports of greyish Meowth with formidable beards following the discovery of the Galar region. Right now, some of the Pantheon's finest felinologists are looking into this phenomenon.

* Annoyed by: [[Pantheon/{{Siblings}} The Matsuno Brothers, with the arguable exception of Ichimatsu]], [[Pantheon/ComedyGenres Tom & Jerry, Sylvester & Tweety]]
* Subaru Mikazuki has always preferred curling up with a book and letting his imagination soar than hanging out with people ever since he was a kid. By the age of 23, this has translated into him becoming a talented but reclusive mystery author. He has also been hurting over the death of his parents some years before. One day, while visiting their grave, Subaru had an encounter with a stray cat who helped herself to the offering of sushi he was trying to make to his parents. Having been stuck in a creative rut, Subaru decided she was what he needed and brought her home. What Subaru did not expect was the upheaval that Haru, as the cat was eventually named, would bring to his isolated lifestyle. Having never owned a pet before, Subaru found himself needing advice on the proper way to care for Haru, and his circle of friends gradually widened as a result. Thanks to Haru, Subaru is becoming a more balanced person who understands how others feel and is also coming to terms with his parents' deaths.
** Haru has her own story to tell that Subaru has no clue about; she was abandoned in a box in the streets with several younger siblings to care for. She managed to survive thanks to the mentorship of some tough yet compassionate feral cats. Haru became hardened and streetwise, although unfortunately she could not avoid one of her little siblings dying, which hurt her deeply. The day Subaru took her home was the day her life changed for the better, as despite his quirks, Subaru is a kind owner trying to do his best by Haru. Though, Haru is convinced she is the one who takes care of him and protects him, always nagging him to eat, not that Subaru understands her. Haru is actually somewhat in denial that she cares about Subaru. At any rate, even if their inability to communicate leads to misunderstandings, it's undeniable that they bring out the best in each other.
* As a result of adopting Haru, Subaru wrote a novel featuring a cat as a major character. The novel became a hit, with it getting a lot of attention in the Pantheon, and interest in the author grew. As the tale of Subaru and Haru's cohabitation spread, many deities found it to be one of the most touching stories ever about an owner and his pet, and thus wanted to see the two ascended. Author and cat were summoned to the Main House, where things were explained to them and they were offered godhood. Subaru was surprised at all this but thought the new scenery might be a good opportunity for him as an author, so he accepted. Haru was more spooked, but there was no way she would abandon Subaru in this potentially dangerous (according to her cat logic) situation, so she reluctantly acquiesced as well.
* Right after settling into their temple (a perfect replica of his home, which put Haru in particular at ease), Subaru and Haru were faced with the overwhelming atmosphere of the Azumanga Daioh girls, who thought they should come and throw a welcome party for them. The reason for that is that Sakaki is one of the deities that really wanted Subaru and his cat to come up, as Sakaki famously loves cats. As Subaru is still a reserved guy, he did not quite mesh with the ruckus the rest of the girls were making (though he guesses he's thankful for them going out of their way), but he easily held a conversation with the similarly quiet Sakaki regarding their cats, and have become good friends.
** Haru, meanwhile, being suspicious of strangers by default, was rather annoyed at the loud girls that had suddenly invaded her territory, and plotted how to get rid of them and save Subaru. She ended up entirely distracted by Sakaki's Iriomote cat Maya, though. Haru tried picking a fight with the weird new cat, only to get a swipe from Maya, who made it clear she wasn't interested in fighting Haru. They somehow managed to settle into a civil conversation where Maya talked about how Sakaki and her friends were good people, and also how cats generally disliked Sakaki, so she had to protect her. Haru understood that Maya was actually pretty similar to her. In some ways she was reminded of her mentor Tora, a tough female tabby cat. In the end Haru decided that she would tolerate the girls and allowed Sakaki to pet her, much to the girl's delight.
* Another noted lover of cats is Ichimatsu Matsuno, who dragged all of his brothers along to pay a visit to the newest ascended cat. Subaru finds them generally much less pleasant than the Azumanga Daioh girls. It doesn't help that after their first visit, some of them tend to stop by on some days and mooch off the contents of his refrigerator. Subaru isn't quite brave enough to tell them to knock it off. Haru doesn't mind Ichimatsu cooing over her, but the rest of them annoy her and she has scratched some of them on occasion.
* They sometimes have feline visitors in their yard. These are generally more interested in Haru, but appreciate Subaru as a good and caring owner. One example is Francis, the cat detective who's been witness to some grisly crimes. Haru thinks he's okay to hang out with once in a while, but she lacks interest in his activities. Then later she was visited by Claudandus, who Haru at first thought was a rather affable old cat. Claudandus commented on her pitiful fate to be abandoned by humans as a kitten and offhandedly said he hoped Subaru would prove different, despite that a cat can never tell how a human really is. Haru told Francis about this and he told her to stay well away from Claudandus and to protect Subaru from him if necessary, as he had the extermination of humans as his end goal, and he wouldn't spare cats who got in his way either. Shocked at Claudandus' depravity and realizing he was trying to plant doubts about Subaru in her, Haru is determined to protect her home from him.
** Subaru thought a detective story where a cat actually plays the part of the detective was pretty original (in his novel, the cat character was an assassin acting on behalf of a human). He didn't expect the murders in ''Felidae'' to be so graphic, though. But he thinks he may have found inspiration for his next book, but on the other hand, the fact that the BigBad of ''Felidae'' is also in the Pantheon and causing trouble was pretty alarming to him, and he ensures Haru stays home so she doesn't run into him. (As usual the two unknowingly disagree on who protects who.)
* For a feral cat, Firestar respects Haru's choice to live with a human, helped by the fact that he spent his kittenhood with humans before joining [=ThunderClan=]. Haru doesn't miss her life as a stray, nor does she find the notion of cats living free as a particularly romantic one. She feels quite good living with Subaru and doesn't mind being an indoors cat. She finds the Warrior Cats interesting because she had never heard of cats living like that before, but has no interest in joining a Clan. Firestar can see where she's coming from after hearing how she spent a lot of time hungry and scared and lost one of her little siblings. Still, Firestar thinks she has what it takes to make it in a Clan, and he doesn't allow other feral cats (like his own Clanmates) to make fun of Haru. The Warrior name Firestar would pick for Haru? Springsun.
* Haru is not a cat [[AnimalJingoism who hates dogs by default]], though she doesn't go out of her way to hang out with them either. Her closest animal neighbor back in her world is a very friendly Golden Retriever who always asks her to play with him when he's bored, which she usually ignores. In the Pantheon, there's a similar dog in the form of Shadow; he's also a Golden Retriever, but calmer than Haru's neighbor due to his advanced age. He and his friends Chance and Sassy don't live that close to Haru's temple, but they had to pay a visit after hearing how she ran away from home in order to find Subaru, who she thought was lost (he was really just away on vacation and his return was delayed by a typhoon), which they find similar to how they went on an adventure to find their family. Shadow in particular admires Haru for being that devoted to Subaru. Haru meanwhile is fonder of Shadow than she cares to admit, due to the sense of familiarity he brings with the similarities to her neighbor.
* Subaru prefers visiting the Pantheon's libraries to do research for his stories (he also borrows books often for his enjoyment), but after some encouragement he's also starting to visit the Halls of Pantheon/{{Detectives}} and Pantheon/InvestigativeWork to interview the deities in there for their personal experiences, despite how nervous it makes him. He has developed a particular interest in deities originating from Alfred Hitchcock's works, given that the director was well-known for his memorable tales of murder. He has also managed to make a friend out of fellow mystery writer Richard Castle, who on top of sharing the same occupation as Subaru has also done some actual detective work himself. Subaru greatly admires him for this and doubts he could ever be confident enough to do something similar.
* Aspiring writer Shizuku Tsukishima has proven herself to be a big fan of Subaru's work. She likes visiting him in his temple to discuss writing, and she also likes playing with Haru, of course. Subaru can't help but feel the weight of the responsibility of being an idol for someone so young, so he thinks he has to do his best to be a proper example to follow.
* One or two times, when Haru was left alone in the house while Subaru was out on some errand, Haru had to deal with two cats who were rather stubbornly chasing a mouse and a bird and ended up invading her territory while doing so. These were Tom and Jerry, and Sylvester and Tweety, as you may have guessed, and Haru was less interested in their prey and more concerned with them making a mess of her territory, so it was all quite chaotic. Haru eventually managed to run them all out, though the house did indeed end up a mess. Once Subaru came back, he assumed Haru did it because she missed him, and fortunately didn't seem to mind too much, as he's not overly attached to any possessions of his. But Haru never wants those four around her area again.
