The only thing that can be said for certain about this House is that it is a confusing mess (literally, as the place instills a weird sensation on visitors), no doubt thanks to the diverse mental phenomena that manifest here.

* Disappointed in: [[Pantheon/VillainousSuccessAndFailure Angra Mainyu]]
* The Idea Of Evil is a being born as a response to humanity's need for a reason for all their suffering, manipulating human affairs and controlling humanity's destiny. It is a common consciousness that transcends individuality, acting as the ego of the world. Its purpose is being responsible for Gut's World being as dark and depressing as it is. Thus it has created every monster, demon, and manipulating every evil force in its world to cause Suffering.
* It has gained knowledge of the Pantheon and it will expand its purpose to spread suffering to this realm as well, though only a handful of members know that its name and even less knows that it exists. Only Griffith and The Godhand has ever directly had any real face to face. It claims that Griffith is it's Chosen One, meant he may have control over causality and the emotions of humans and gives Griffith the authority that he may do whatever he wants with humans: destroy or liberate them. It has admitted manipulating events surrounding Griffith's ancestry and throughout his life to bring him to that point.
* Seeks to be the absolute when it comes to gods of evil and despair. The Idea of Evil believes that it is a better lead than Melkor for the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, due to existing to explain suffering. Melkor retorts by stating that it is still dependent on humanity, while [[EvilerThanThou he is an independent entity who spreads evil beyond Man]]. The Idea of Evil agrees he has a point and for the most part is on good terms with Melkor, but still covets his role.
* Existing to enforce [[ViciousCycle a negative]] status quo in the world of ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'', the Idea of Evil covets the Status Quo itself and desires to supplicate it. It initially sought to overcome Despair of the Endless, but she represents a far grander hope of despair and on some level the Idea has accepted her supremacy, considering her more as a mentor or older friend. While the Idea didn't plan on it, both the Beast and Yuuki Terumi were hesitant on allying with it because of their superiority complexes. Though believing himself to be the true source of all evil, the Beast ultimately decided it's better to get along. Terumi however just decided to compete with the Idea of Evil due to wanting to bring about his specific flavor of despair, not the Idea's.
* For apostles and the Godhand, it requires [[DespairEventHorizon an emotional nadir]] that it leads to by the manipulation of fate. All so they may make a DealWithTheDevil and cross their personal MoralEventHorizon by sacrificing their loved ones. However, all Apostles are inevitably doomed to be DraggedOffToHell on their death. The "despair leads to monstrosity" transformation is something similar to how the Incubators' processes work, but for completely different reasons. The Idea of Evil regards them as competition, but they do not pay it any mind.
* Given its creation, the Idea of Evil was soon compared to Nyarlathotep, the embodiment of all human evil. Nyarlathotep boasts that it is absolute proof of the inherent wickedness of mankind, and was overjoyed to see such a GodOfEvil return to the pantheon. The Idea of Evil has become fond of the newly introduced Barbatos, who's Dark Multiverse represents the worst possible outcomes and reflects its pessimistic view on mankind.
* Zamasu believes the Idea of Evil to be a perfect argument for his hatred of mortals; they created a god to explain their suffering, only to maintain and enforce it. The White believe it's living proof that humanity's fate is a hopeless one, and needs to perish in a mass MercyKill. And Lucifer, son of [[Pantheon/DivineBehavior Chuck Shurley]], considers it a reason why humans are disgusting. Most ignore their arguments, particularly Lucifer [[{{Hypocrite}} due to the fact]] he twisted fallen and broken humans into demons. Cyrus has a more rational response, believing the existence of things like it is why he considers the human spirit flawed and the world in need of a restart.
* It has attempted to break Hope Bringers, and those that try to end suffering as it believes that it is not true of Humanity's true wants and desires as it believes that it humanity's Destiny. As such, it is opposed by all who oppose hope, and conversely venerated by those that worship despair. Junko Enoshima has become the Idea's chief disciple, and Doctor Weil seeks to bring about great suffering in its name due to his nihilistic loathing of humanity and idealism. It has personally taken a liking to Damien Thorn [[TheAntiChrist for reminding it of Griffith]], and he wishes to bring about the despoiling of creation through the Idea.
* The existence of the Idea of Evil is one of the few things to bring The Love That Moves The Stars to tears, as He is deeply saddened by His children conceiving of a malevolent god to explain suffering. The Emperor of the King Dolorous emitted a bellowing laugh at such a being's existence. Dis also claims that, as the supposed source of sin and suffering it is the ultimate forefather of the Idea of Evil. Though the Idea of Evil believes he's exaggerating, his cataclysmic evil and involvement in suffering makes him an important ally to the Idea of Evil.
* Maintaining its existence and purpose [[YouCantFightFate through the manipulation of fate]], the Idea of Evil seeks control of the House of Pantheon/{{Prophecy}}, mainly by supplanting Destiny. It's not going to happen, but it will settle for the destruction of the House of Opposing Fate [[ScrewDestiny due to what they represent]]. Far more worryingly is that the Idea of Evil seeks to become a Hadou God, making its will and nature the defining Law of TheMultiverse.
* Despises the Flood, who claims that it is utterly inferior to them. [[spoiler:Considering that they ARE the embodiment of the Precursor's will, the ones who created humanity and by extension it, it's not entirely inaccurate, and the Idea of Evil hates them for this fact]]. It has since sworn to destroy them. It is also [[EvilVersusOblivion the sole reason why it opposes the GUAD]], since it fundamentally needs humanity to exist.
* YHVH's desire to be the absolute and cosmic law, along with being maintained by worship and desire for law from humanity, makes Him a rival to the Idea of Evil's own desires to be an absolute. Mainly on the Idea's end, as YHVH simply loathes the Idea of Evil. Lucifer loathes the Idea more, mainly because he perceives it as a ugly blot embodying human weakness and preventing mankind from reaching its potential.
* Absolutely loathes the God-Emperor of Mankind, as he is the God of Humanity and fights to make the universe a better place for Mankind to exist in, something the Idea of Evil finds abhorrent. Some parts of it actually fear the Emperor for he is both the equal and Archenemy of the Chaos Gods, beings that much like the Idea of Evil were created from the negative emotions and darkness of living beings. The Idea of Evil recognizes its similarities to the Chaos Gods, and considers the lot his rivals. Well, except Nurgle. They are both forces of suffering and(in different ways) stagnation, after all. Though it doesn't understand [[BlueAndOrangeMorality Nurgle's twisted view on love]].
* The living antithesis of the belief that TheGoodGuysAlwaysWin, and that goodness and karma are the ultimate forces behind humanity. Naturally, it is anathema to Cosmos and the GUAG. The Spectre loathes it for being a cosmic KarmaHoudini, but as a {{Tulpa}} crafted by humanity the Spectre cannot erase something fundamental like he's able to enforce karma on mortals. Ahura Mazda cannot bear its existence and hates what it represents.
* Angra Mainyu was pleased to see something so inherently horrible ascend, and wished an alliance. The Idea rebuffed him however, decrying the Destructive Spirit as "[[TheDevilIsALoser pathetic]]". It regards the Ebon Dragon as pathetic, however unlike Ahriman it feels a certain kinship as it exists for a certain purpose, like the Idea. The Idea of Evil explains suffering, while the Ebon Dragon exists to oppose and despoil.
* It considers the Phantom Thieves a problem as [[HeelFaceBrainwashing their ability to change hearts]] is the perfect weapon for restoring the repressed humanity of the Apostles [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone and restoring their sense of guilt]]. They consider it as bad as Yaldabaoth/YHVH for seeking control over the hearts of humanity and embodying mankind's weaknesses in the form of needing an explanation for suffering. Yaldabaoth was well aware of their similarities, but they have different manners in which to control and manipulate the human condition.
* [[AsLongAsThereIsEvil So long as humanity desires a reason for suffering, the Idea of Evil will exist to serve as that reason]]. Even if weakened in the pantheon due to being more optimistic than its setting, it cannot be destroyed. This hasn't stopped Aleph and Kratos from trying to do so, and they pointed out [[KillTheGod they killed literal gods]], so they're confident they can kill man-born gods like the Idea of Evil.

* While searching for candidates for JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind, the Court decided that, while waiting for [[VideoGame/{{Psychonauts2}} the sequel]], they would bring up the Psychonaut cadet Razputin Aquato to the Pantheon for his achievements at Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. For his part, Raz is curious to see what the Pantheon has to offer.
** Eventually, he had to go "back" once his story was ready. Once everything there was over and done with, Raz returned to the Pantheon, better than ever, as a full-fledged (Junior) Psychonaut. Though he did [[DiscardAndDraw forget a few abilities he had from before]], but that was easily remedied.
* In terms of what his temple looks like, it takes the form of his bunk at Whispering Rock Summer Camp during his first adventure. He hasn't officially found his bunk during his time at Headquarters, and while things with his family have since been mended, he's still not 100% made up with them.
* Raz does his work by using a [[http://psychonauts.wikia.com/wiki/Psycho-Portal Psycho-Portal]] that puts Raz and whoever he uses the portal on into a trance while he does what he does inside the target's mind. Due to built-in blocks, he cannot use the Psycho-Portal on anybody younger than 18 years old. It's also blocked by shower heads (and maybe other head-covering implements), those with "mental blocks" set against invasive psychic devices, and those who can remove the Psycho-Portal with their own powers. As far as he knows, only psychics can enter minds through Psycho-Portal, and has not tested if he can take a non-psychic with him given he has very little non-psychic allies (besides perhaps some of his family, who were slow to approve of his psychic powers).
* As someone gifted with psychic powers, Raz was quick to make friends with the friendly kind such as Jean Grey, Professor X, J'onn the Martian Manhunter, Ness, Lucas, and most Psychics from the Pokémon world, both 'Mons and humans alike (though he was slower to warm up to [[Pantheon/PersonalityMisc Sabr]][[Pantheon/CharacterAdaptations ina]], given the different versions of her). He's currently considering whether or not some of them are trustworthy enough to bring with him through Psycho-Portal to investigate minds if they're not able to access the minds of others already.
** Two races of [[Pantheon/FantasticalLeadership the New Alliance of Free Stars]] have also had Raz under consideration; the Syreen, who all have overall superior psychic talent might have a closer genetic relation to humanity than expected, and the Arilou, who can speak to people telepathically and are basically TheGreys. That said, the latter ''has'' tampered with humanity's mental development in their universe, as well as probably experimenting on isolated humans. Thankfully, the Junior Psychoaut is currently unaware of this interest.
** There's also Silver the Hedgehog, who's also psychic, though is limited to telekinesis and levitation (both much more powerful than what any Psychonaut can do) with no real hint towards any telepathy (beyond the now-defunct Archie Comics continuity). That said, Silver is also a time-traveler, and ''that'' got Raz's attention give his enthusiasm for all sorts of paranormal stuff. It also helps that they're around the same age (Silver's 14, Raz is 10).
** And then he's heard of rumors that [[Pantheon/BluntWeapons Amy Rose]] ''might'' have psychic potential as well, given her precognition via Tarot cards, a tendency to be at the right place at the right time, summoning her hammer out of nowhere like an astral projection, and [[spoiler:telepathy is potentially starting to wake up in her]].
* Due to his GypsyCurse, Raz stays away from '''all''' bodies of water that he can be immersed in, and therefore all deities who live beneath it. How bad is the gypsy curse on him? Even ''figurative depictions of water'' (such as ''cardboard waves'') can hurt him. Also, when ever Raz enters water deeper than ''a few inches'', a supernatural liquid hand called the [[http://psychonauts.wikia.com/wiki/Hand_of_Galochio Hand of Galochio]] attempts to grab him and pull him beneath the surface. Whether Raz has created a psychic placebo (i.e. his fears make the hand come to life), or there really is an external curse is still being determined. And if it ''is'' the latter, there are those wondering if that curse would go away if he gets killed at least once in the Pantheon. When that happened (his first death in the Pantheon), it's implied to be the former.
** As it turns out, it's actually sort of both, for the Hand of Galochio [[spoiler:was created by Ford Cruller as a result of him implanting a strong fear of water in Lucrecia Mux/Maligula/[[AmnesiacsAreInnocent Nona Aquato]]'s mind to stop her from reawakening her hydrokinesis. This fear had then been passed to Augustus, and from him to all the Aquato children, including Raz]]. Once it was understood that [[spoiler:there is no curse]], the Hand is no longer hostile, Raz is able to tread water safely with the Hand's help, and it will even ''rescue'' him if he thinks he's in danger from drowning by pulling him to someplace dry. Given [[spoiler:his great-aunt was actually [[MakingASplash Maligula]]]], it's likely that [[spoiler:he has inherent hydrokinetic potential as well]]. That said, [[spoiler:given it's been a greatly feared entity for so long]], Raz isn't that interested in honing [[spoiler:his (potential) powers over water]] anytime soon.
* Raz really doesn't like it when he hears of extremely traumatized children. Not because he has no empathy for it, but because he ''cannot'' help them his usual way since his Psycho-Portal only works on people who are 18 or older. And hearing of kids like [[Pantheon/FearInducers Mary]], [[Pantheon/HeroicRoles Steven]], [[spoiler:[[Pantheon/FriendshipDynamicsMToZ Sunny, and Basil]]]] just makes him fell helpless. Yes, he's not even a teenager yet, but given all he's accomplished, being faced with the fact that there are people ''just'' beyond his reach is not easy for anyone to cope with. And yes, he knows Psychonauts aren't meant to fix people [[spoiler:[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC-QhD_rdEo (that much he learned from his mess with Agent Forsythe that he thankfully managed to fix)]]]] but help them fight the inner demons ''they already have'', but it's much harder to do that through talk alone.
* As someone who can change the opinions of people just by going into their heads, so to speak, he's drawn the attention of the Inception crew and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. And his friendship with the latter eventually got him attention from the Investigation Team as well, whose members have had their issues mostly mended through their trips to the TV World.
** He has more cordial relations with Ren's crew, especially with Futaba Sakura, whose initial situation needed a change of heart from inside just like with some of the folks Raz helped. As long as he promises to follow their lead and not kill main Palace Shadows, he can join the crew in their Heists there. Unfortunately, the reverse cannot ocurr, as the Psycho-Portal only works between target and Psychonaut, and it's not known what might happen if he and the Phantoms target the same person with their separate methods and what effects there can be on the Mental Worlds Raz travels to and the Metaverse the Phantoms navigate in.
** At least, that was how it worked at first. After a couple of cooperative missions where they end up investigating the same target, holes in the Palaces have been sighted that lead into places different yet similar to them. And then when Raz was sighted there, it's turns out that there is a way to enter Mental Worlds after all; through these holes. However, it's not known what would happen to the Phantoms if they're still in these worlds if Raz ends up leaving (either by way of Smelling Salts (which merely instantly awaken its user from sleep in the case of the Phantoms), his projection getting "killed", or otherwise being forced out), so caution is advised.
** As of his second adventure, he came back to meet the new additions Violet, SOPHIE, and Wolf, and was amused to see an officer as part of the crew, given that the Psychonauts in part do what the Phantoms do, but as an official organization. He's also since become a lot more cautious when it comes to meddling with minds, ever since the disaster with Agent Forsythe Hollins when his attempt to turn her from a safety-freak into someone more tolerant of sending him and his fellow interns to a mission turned her into a gambling addict. [[spoiler:He managed to fix that, [[https://youtu.be/WC-QhD_rdEo but still got a scolding for it and he realized his mistake]]]].
*** When he inquired with the Phantoms about that, given their own modus operandi, he was given a talk on the targets they changed the hearts of; all of them were despicable folks who have a lot of people suffering under their heels, and were untouchable by the law in some form or other. There was literally no one who could/would stop them save the Phantom Thieves. This left Raz at odds with himself since technically speaking their agenda run at odds with Psychonauts rules and [[ComesGreatResponsibility the responsibility that comes with their powers]].
*** Because of that, Raz loathes Akechi for his acts of murder in the Metaverse, cursing the fact that he's only 17, thus preventing Raz from using the Psycho-Portal on him. He only tolerates the detective because Ren vouches for him and because Akechi's past was full of messed up stuff.
*** In regards to [[spoiler:Prince Gristol]], Ren stated that he was the kind of scum the Phantoms would go after. But they won't not only out of respect to Raz, but because he's already technically apprehended by the law in the end.
*** As for [[Pantheon/SpiritualAndMentalPowers Dr. Takuto Maruki]], Raz has made his opposition on the ex-psychologist's former plans for his ideal world clear. Maruki knows there are parties interested in awakening that side of him that wants to pursue that ideal again and has offered Raz access to his mind so as to help prevent that from happening again (plus helping the Psychonaut understand him more). Thanks to the trip, Raz realizes that the ex-therapist hadn't been ''entirely'' himself when he enacted his plan because of [[Pantheon/ReligionAndFaith Yaldabaoth]] psychically corrupting him and his Persona (back when he had one).
*** And because of what Maruki has done, Raz is particularly sympathetic towards Sumire since her mind was altered by him, even if it did stave her off from depression and inevitable suicide before Ren came to her life and mended her for real.
* Having had a terrible past in the circus [[spoiler:(at least that's how he rememebered it at first)]], Raz opposes the likes of Tökkentäkker, Needles Kane, and Circus Baby. Having had terrible experiences with them, he doesn't like mad doctors and other folks who mess with minds. Particulars he don't like are Dr. Zomboss (who wishes to eat brains, and so do his brethren) and Arael (whose modus operandi is MindRape, especially after hearing what it did to Asuka). There are also the malicious psychics such as Alma Wade, Magnus the Red, and Typhus. And like any sane person, Bill Cipher is also an enemy due to his ability to appear to people in their dreams to make deals, his expertise at manipulation, and his agenda for Weirdmageddon.
* [[Pantheon/{{Mentalism}} Alice]] swore she once [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjFH8JL4Yd4 saw his skeleton]] [[VideoGame/AliceMadnessReturns in (Dark) Wonderland]]. Raz has no plans on visiting Wonderland anytime soon as a result and hopes that wasn't him in the future. According to [[https://rainbowsquirt.tumblr.com/post/616676227273588736/so-last-night-i-got-curious-and-dug-around-for his old myspace account]], Raz is a Capricorn. He also doesn't like bees or cilantro, but is not afraid of them. Additionally, he has no issues against gay couples, having encountered one among the Psychic Six[[spoiler:/Seven]] in Bob Zanotto and Helmut Fullbear.
* In terms of people who [[spoiler:have had villains hidden in their family just like him]], the closest would be Sasuke Uchiha, whose ancestor Madara drove Itachi to kill members of his own clan. And in some continuities, this also applies to Tony Stark [[spoiler:(his biological father turns out to have been a member of HYDRA)]] and Spider-Woman [[spoiler:(her parents are also HYDRA agents)]]. Raz gets along with the superheroes, while he's wary of the Last Uchiha.
* Raz took an interest in Ned Needlemeyer when he found out about his chronic nightmares, and the nightmare-plagued boy couldn't be more welcoming a chance to be cured of his bad dreams. That said, Ned's unfortunately too young for the Psycho-Portal to work on him, so Raz decided he would need some help and contacted the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. One Meta-Nav scan later revealed that Ned indeed had a Palace, and soon they and Raz went in.
** Unfortunately, things there proved a tad more difficult than anticipated. While not exactly as hard as Shido's Palace, Ned's came with multiple obstructions that required going outside regularly to consult him. Due to what happened last time someone entered their own Palace (Futaba), Ned cannot come along this time, and bringing [[Pantheon/TimePlacement Fuuka]] might be needed for cross-dimensional contact. While the Phantoms were now personally dedicated to helping Ned now, Raz insisted on coming with on this venture; he had promised to help him, no matter how long it took, and Ned was forever grateful to them all. %% [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13955282570A87068500&page=7546#comment-188640 Needlemeyer's Palace]]

* David Lightman is a bright but academically unmotivated kid with a knack for computers and hacking. Originally he just used his talent to give himself excellent grades, but one day he tried hacking a video game company and became engrossed in one "game" called "Global Thermonuclear War". What he didn't know then is that he had actually connected to a NORAD computer called WOPR or Joshua, built to run war simulations and given control over the military's actual nuclear missiles. And Joshua was determined to win. NORAD became alarmed as it seemed like a Soviet attack was happening and reality came crashing down on David as he's accused of espionage. Eventually he managed to stop Joshua by teaching it that there can be no winners in a nuclear war.
* Ascended for his savviness in stopping Joshua and for codifying many film conventions surrounding hackers. He was given AndYouThoughtItWasAGame so he would not forget his mistake regardless.
* The moment he ascended he was offered a spot at the GUAG's White Hats. He accepted it to atone for his mistake and help in avoiding future disasters and is catching up with all the technological advances and new hacking methods that have appeared since his time under the mentorship of Radical Ed and Lisbeth Salander (more so the latter as the former can go off-track easily). Cosmos claims that she hopes David will be able to convert some of the evil computers in the Pantheon of their folly like he did Joshua, but some deities think he actually [[KickedUpstairs got placed there]] so he could be kept under control and to ensure he doesn't pull such dangerous stunts as he's credited with again.
* David can be rather lazy about his duties at the White Hats (and the Elysium Academy for that matter), much to their dismay, and is more often found at the House of Gaming trying to get the highest score in several old-school arcade games. He thinks it's awesome that game characters are real and was more than glad to become friends with the arcade god Pac-Man, given what an icon of David's time he is. He's also become addicted to ''Fix-It-Felix, Jr.'' (wondering the whole time that he's never heard of it before) and became friends with Fix-It Felix and Wreck-It Ralph as a result.
* He's not one to turn up his nose at the games of the new generation and thinks it's amazing how technology has advanced to the point of immersive virtual reality games being possible, as he discovered from giving ''[=ALFheim Online=]'' a shot (he plays a Leprechaun). He became close to Kirito and Asuna thanks to it and was shocked to learn about ''Sword Art Online'', a game that was rigged to trap players and kill them if they died in-game. It makes David depressed how people will even find a way to use video games to commit murder for real.
* As he lived in a time where the Cold War was at its most tense and he very nearly started a nuclear war single-handedly, David has become something of a pacifist and doesn't care much for the House of War. Nor does he want anything to do with those who advocate or wield nuclear power. He finds it nightmarish yet oddly poetic how a nuclear holocaust could give rise to an absolute monster like the Lich and sees it as a warning against nuclear warfare. He doesn't trust Sweet P either, considering he has part of the Lich in him even if he's good now.
* For obvious reasons he looks askance at any computer systems that have gone rogue and turned evil. One of the worst in his opinion has to be SKYNET, as the idea of a computer given control over military weapons is far too similar to Joshua, and while Joshua may have been persuaded to desist, the worst case scenario did happen with SKYNET as it caused a nuclear holocaust. So David has more of a personal beef with SKYNET than other evil computers. But he doesn't like SHODAN, XANA or HAL 9000 much either.
** AM possibly puts them all to shame though. Being an American computer built to kill people in WWIII more efficiently which later developed a consciousness where it felt nothing but hatred and killed all humans except for five which it kept alive for endless torture, David sees it as the end result of the Cold War going horribly, ''horribly'' wrong, and why the lives of millions of people should not be put in a computer's hands. He's made it a personal project to save the five people AM uses as toys.
* In his work with the White Hats he's had plenty of opportunities to interact with Digimon. He thinks it's incredible that there's a whole world inside the computer system that houses such out-there creatures. Given some of the White Hats (and even people that have nothing to do with them) are partnered with Digimon, he wished he could have one himself. That wish eventually became true in a dramatic fashion as all of the massively powerful Royal Knights ascended and he became one of the lucky people to bond with one; in his case, it was Jesmon, appropriately given how they are looked at as promising but very much green rookies within their groups. In fact, Jesmon first ascended literally at her Rookie level, Hackmon, and David got to follow firsthand her growth into a Mega, even participating in it as he insisted in sharing her grueling training. And yes, the fact that this Jesmon is female did throw David (and many others) for a loop when he realized it. He tried nicknaming her "Jessie" in response, but she wasn't amused. He still does it sometimes anyway, when he feels like getting a rise out of her.
** Obviously he takes issue with evil Digimon, but specifically can't stand looking at Diaboromon, given how the Digimon once managed to gain control of some missiles and was planning the destroy the wreak havoc with them just for kicks. It hits a bit too close to home for David's comfort.
* He hates Love Machine too for its similarities to Diaboromon, as Love Machine is a virus that wanted to drop a satellite on a nuclear plant and cause destruction and suffering. Just another AI that resembles Joshua at its worst.
* Can be found hanging out with Ferris Bueller at times, the two having become friends at the Elysium Academy. Both of them tend to collaborate on plans to rebel against the school system, and David is impressed that Ferris has some hacking skills of his own. With these similarities, as well as [[Creator/MatthewBroderick physical ones]], the two are often mistaken for brothers.

* John [=McClane=] was a detective from the New York Police Department who had fallen into hard times; he was an alcoholic and chain smoker with a messy relationship with his estranged wife, Holly, and generally had a bleak worldview that he got through with sarcasm. [[LittleDidIKnow Little did he know]] that he would be in the fight of his life when he decided to meet with Holly during a Christmas Eve party held at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles when the building was suddenly stormed by a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber in a well-crafted and devious ploy to retrieve a large sum of money for himself and his gang as well as destroy the place once the deed is done. [=McClane=], however, ended up being an unexpected clog in Gruber's plans, with the cop using his wits and unpredictability to thwart his adversary's plans, culminating with [=McClane=] saving as many lives as he could in the Nakatomi Plaza and proving himself a hero to the Los Angeles populace, with the added bonus of getting to mend his relationship with Holly. Of course, this was just the start of many of [=McClane=]'s intense adventures as he would also get involved with [[Film/DieHard2 stopping a Russian terrorist group in an airport]], [[Film/DieHardWithAVengeance facing off against Hans's brother, Simon, in New York City]], [[Film/LiveFreeOrDieHard saving his daughter Lucy from terrorist Thomas Gabriel]], [[Film/AGoodDayToDieHard and having to save his son Jon Jr. in Russia whilst having to fend off against corrupt Russian officials]].
* [=McClane=]'s stories and exploits were memorable, mainly for how he finds himself in a sticky and dangerous situation at the most inconvenient times, and he ends up thwarting some baddies' schemes, also at the most inconvenient times. He was content with either allowing himself to rest as well as spend some quality time with his children, though yet another unexpected event happened when [=McClane=] was given what he said was a revelation that said something about a "pantheon" and "deities from all sorts of worlds". Of course, the last thing he expected was to be a part of the said pantheon to represent what he's most known for; messing up criminal plans and goals, once again, [[RuleOfThree at the most inconvenient times]]. He chuckled with a hint of humor and weariness, now a representative of something that he didn't really have plans for. Still, he's a hero for it and that counts, for what it's worth. Hopefully, the Pantheon can provide him with normal and straightforward cases to tackle. That, and probably give him a nice retirement at some point while he's at it.
* If there's one thing that's best known about [=McClane=], it's his sardonic sense of humor. It's practically his best friend for what it's worth as [=McClane=] is prone to making quips, remarks, and insults to keep himself motivated and mentally focused on his tasks. He's a good man and nearly everyone in the Pantheon's police force would agree to such, but it's not hard to ignore his use of drugs and his struggle with alcoholism, which surfaced full-time when [=McClane=] was separated from Holly and it would seem that despite his esteemed reputation, he's not emotionally stable. Fortunately, his drug and alcohol problems don't get in the way of him dealing with crime, most of the time at least and he does make an effort to be as good of a father as he could.
* It should be no surprise that [=McClane=] was more than surprised that Gruber also ascended into the Pantheon. That said, he was more annoyed than angered about it, as he feels that going back to fighting him again would dig up some bad memories for himself and he would just end up mentally burdening himself. At the very least, he's at least glad that Gruber spends more time fighting against other law officials regarding his attempts at thievery than [=McClane=], even if their enmity remains largely personal and intense. On the other hand, Gruber was merely amused to learn that [=McClane=] was in the Pantheon before himself and that [[Film/DieHardWithAVengeance he had fought against his younger brother, Simon, years later]]. While Hans admits that he and Simon weren't really close as brothers, it does give him a bigger incentive to fight [=McClane=] again, seeing it as the biggest opportunity he could have to prove himself better than Simon. Regardless, the two haven't met too often, but Gruber has affirmed that they ''will'' eventually fight to the death one day, something that [=McClane=] has acknowledged and is mentally preparing himself for.
* While it comes in the territory of his profession, the fact that [=McClane=] has gotten involved with foreign and political affairs as well as battling against terrorism netted him a lot of enemies in his own stories, and soon enough, the same applies with the Pantheon. He was once assigned to track down 50 Blessings, who intended to incite a nuclear war against Russia and the United States and had political and military ties. [=McClane=] did manage to dismantle one of their plans, though not without seeing him as a potential threat, something that worried [=McClane=] as he figured they would likely target his family, forcing them to be put under care by any new allies and friends he's made in the Pantheon. A similar case also occurred with The Dark Army thanks to their global scale in regards to terrorism and political control to the point where [=McClane=] admits to being a bit scared about challenging them. Regardless, he's not one to give up and he's been a recurring thorn to The Dark Army's operations since his involvement in looking into the organization's activities in the Pantheon.
* While a dedicated cop, [=McClane=] sometimes would prefer to act on his own accords, and most of his heroism was committed solely through his own wit and skills with barely any backup. As a result, he earned the respect of Harold Callahan, better known as Dirty Harry as he also involved himself with a number of grisly crimes and is willing to botch police orders if it means getting his objectives done. The two have a great time snarking out with one another, though Harry does find it a bit upsetting that he can't offer a bottle of champagne to [=McClane=], despite respecting his decision to try to be sober. He also finds similar camaraderie with other cops like Sterling Archer, Max Payne, and John Hartigan, and is eager to try giving them a helping hand if the situation ever calls for it, though [=McClane=] also makes it clear that he would most prefer to spend his time in the Pantheon as either a man living in retirement or being employed in smaller, less stressful cases, mainly as a way to spend time with his family, something that his newfound friends appreciate.
** The most relatable cop [=McClane=] encountered in the Pantheon turned out to be Rust Cohle, who was a very capable and skilled detective who also happened to be so mentally broken that he adopted a nihilistic philosophy and worldview just to cope with his stress and anguish. His own partner, Marty Hart, was more socially adjusted, but still prone to messing himself up with his personal relations as well as having a spotty track record of being a polarizing figure towards his work acquaintances in his police precinct as well as being a husband and father. While not as large-scaled in their tales, [=McClane=] was a bit taken aback by Cohle's past, and given that the latter's daughter was the reason why Cohle's wife divorced him and his tress delved deeper into alcoholism and nihilism, the former began to feel more thankful that he still has his kids to look after and try to make a better effort with Holly if he could.[=McClane=]'s snarky and abrasive attitude did annoy Marty at first, though the two soon started to respect each other as both were determined cops and Marty even came to be entertained by [=McClane=]'s stories as at least they were put an emphasis on how badass he could be, unlike his own. Cohle respects [=McClane=] more for his ability as a detective and for being good at his job, eventually soon seeing him as a reliable partner to have if ever needed.
* Given his occupation, issues, and his troubling priorities, one wouldn't expect [=McClane=] to become friends with Kevin [=McCallister=] of all people. If anything, even [=McClane=] himself didn't expect such. The two met for the first time during a Christmas function when they encountered one during a buffet and Kevin decided to sit with [=McClane=] as all the others were taken. The two had a light conversation at first, asking about family, but they grabbed each other's attention when Kevin mentioned his efforts to defend his home from the Wet Bandits, followed by [=McClane=] reciting his story in battling against Gruber and his thieves in the Nakatomi Plaza. Coincidentally, both events occurred during Christmas time, much to their amusement. Kevin felt that [=McClane=] story was a little scary, but still something that was cool while [=McClane=] expressed surprise that Kevin was able to fortify and set intricate traps on his own, even admitting that he's a clever kid with a talent for building defenses and tricks. The two of them keep in contact with each other and [=McClane=] has been one of Kevin's more recurring friends, visiting the young boy to give him company as well as some advice regarding snarks and defending himself.
* One of his biggest fans came in the form of Jake Peralta, who also happened to be an NYPD cop. In fact, Peralta was actually inspired by [=McClane=]'s tales to become a police officer himself and is more than happy to reference his idol's exploits anytime he's given the chance. Peralta's passion is such that he visited Fox Plaza in Los Angeles, which was the basis for the Nakatomi Plaza, his wedding cake was a replica of the Nakatomi Plaza, and he named his son [=McClane=] after the character. Needless to say, [=McClane=] felt quite honored by this occasion and held a rather nice conversation with Peralta and his co-workers, even taking the occasion to do some police work with them. Fortunately, while Jake has been in a few situations similar to his biggest action influence, they're a lot more tame and normal than the ones [=McClane=] has been through, though Jake takes pride in his participation and [=McClane=] himself is content with that as he feels Jake isn't really mentally prepared to endure such risks. Regardless, he's happy to see that he has a big fan and is willing to even mentor and help Jake if he ever needs support.
* Given his status as a recovering alcoholic, [=McClane=] tries as much as he could to stave himself from the Hall of Pantheon/{{Alcohol}} and while the effort does seem to be difficult, support from[=McClane=]'s friends and his desire to be a good father has given him success on that front. That said, he has gotten himself involved with some alcoholics, namely Homer Simpson, Rick Sanchez, and Barney Humble, all of whom had a very excitable experience with alcohol and experienced a period of becoming mental wrecks on a number of occasions. Homer and Rick were familiar with [=McClane=]'s story and were quick to geek out about it, leading to the two of them meeting with the cop, with Homer and Rick being rather excited about the idea of getting into an intense hostage situation with [=McClane=] and hoping to get themselves in a badass hostage situation. Needless to say, [=McClane=] found the entire ordeal to be incredibly awkward and while he respects that he has fans, he'd rather not get Homer and Rick involved with his life in the Pantheon, partly because getting involved with them would likely cause him to relapse in his alcoholism and partly because Homer and Rick's stories were too bizarre and chaotic for [=McClane=] to really get himself involved in. That said, [[Recap/RickAndMortyS3E3PickleRick Rick did end up in a situation that involved him turning into a pickle and having to deal with someone like Hans... and beating him and his henchmen without a sweat]]. [=McClane=] had a chuckle out of that and admits that Rick is pretty funny at times. While the two of them respect one another, [=McClane=] doesn't really involve himself with the scientist, if mainly due to Rick being a frequent drinker and [=McClane=] wanting to do the best possible to keep himself sober.
** A similar event also happened between him and the Mystery Incorporated quintet. Furthermore, [=McClane=] did not expect himself to get involved in an incident that supposedly involved a pack of vampires invading an urban household, much less stumble across a talking dog and a team of young adult investigators who look into cases involving supernatural occurrences, be they fabricated or not. While the gang discovered clues about how the vampires hunted and concealed themselves, [=McClane=] was the one who participated in combat, despite being a detective himself, though he did play a hand in discovering some evidence with some help from the gang, particularly Fred and Velma. To [=McClane=] disappointment, the vampires... weren't really vampires, but rather some disgruntled housemates who wanted to express their frustration in life by costuming themselves as bloodsucking creatures and terrorizing the neighborhood, soon coming to enjoy the experience, with [=McClane=] complaining that it would have been better if he actually was dealing with vampires at that time. Still, [=McClane=] admitted to enjoying his time with the gang, which included some shenanigans finding Scooby Snacks for Scooby-Doo and scolding Shaggy for being fearful most of the time. He's kept in contact with the team, with the fulfillment that he gets involved in a case dealing with a literal monster, believing that one such case would provide a refreshing change compared to something that tends to be personal.
* While primarily a cop, he has seen his days of getting involved in government-based events, and [=McClane=] isn't exactly fond of those, considering his daughter was endangered in one of those and his son was being victimized by corrupt officials in a foreign country, namely Russia. Regardless, he's earned the approval of James Bond and Ethan Hunt, sharing a similarly tenacious nature as well as doing the best they could to be a hero despite their hardened nature to consider killing as an option if they have no other choice. [=McClane=] finds Bond's gadgets to be bizarre and often wonders how exactly they work, but given his own track of causing destruction, Bond isn't so willing to hand him any of his techs, even considering that they belong to [=MI6=]. He and Ethan can relate to being on estranged terms with their wives at some point as well as getting themselves involved in one badly sticky situation after another. Finally, [=McClane=] admits that he enjoys snarking and hanging out with Bond and Ethan, though while he admits that he could be a good ally to them in their jobs, he's better off living an easier life in the Pantheon. Still, [=McClane=] is willing to help out a friend if they ever need to and keeps in contact with Bond and Ethan for this very reason aside from being friends, much to their approval.
* [=McClane=]'s tale regarding his battle against Gruber is seen as a monumental point of storytelling when it comes to action tales and as a result, he has managed to inspire a big number of action heroes, whether they're exact role replicas, or simply cite as a loose influence. [=McClane=] is happy to hear about this, but honestly thinks that nobody should ''exactly'' be like him, considering his own contentious past and his gruff attitude. That said, he found the idea of somebody named "Bro Hard" to be hilarious, especially as he was directly inspired by [=McClane=] himself and was essentially a goofier version of him. Of course, the two hang out and even compete against each other, with Bro Hard even trying to make the effort to get non-alcoholic beverages for [=McClane=] as a sign of their friendship, which he respected. He also found an odd sense of appreciation towards Summer Smith who had to deal with terrorists during a hostage situation in an effort to save [[Pantheon/LocationsAndSettings her grandfather and younger brother]]. Turns out, the terrorists were actually inspired by [=McClane=] and Gruber's battle against each other, something that the former found incredibly amusing and expressed surprise at Summer for getting involved in something like that. The two of them got along well and [=McClane=] was open to the idea of visiting Summer on occasion to help her out in regard to her familial relationships and even provide advice on self-defense and improvisation. Since then, [=McClane=] has been entertained by the idea of hearing tales inspired by his own and would gladly hear them, in addition to remaining good friends with Bro Force and Summer.
* While he's a revered action hero according to many, he's not the only one to be named John. If anything, he shares his first name with two others, namely Rambo and Wick. [[WebVideo/EpicRapBattlesOfHistory At one point, the three of them were engaged in a rap battle against each other, boasting about their tales, fears, attitude, and reputation as some of the action genre's greatest stars]]. Beyond that, [=McClane=] generally does pity the circumstances they've been through and even admits that they've probably been through events worse than his own, which is saying something. Knowing how it feels to be pitied, he's made an effort to befriend Rambo, which turned out to be successful, despite his own experience in fighting against cops when he was once accused of vagrancy, something that [=McClane=] found to be rather dumb and he's open to the idea of helping the former Vietnam Vet out in getting settled in the Pantheon and hopefully find a measure of peace. He's a lot more conflicted towards Wick, however, seeing as he's a man who doesn't like to be slighted or interrupted, not to mention his own reputation as being the most feared assassin of his own world. That said, Wick doesn't bear any ill will on [=McClane=] and instead respects his attempts at trying to be a normal man, which is high praise from him as Wick personally feels conflicted and agitated by the fact that he keeps coming back to a life he's supposed to have been retired from, though he would prefer not to talk about it with anyone, much less with [=McClane=].

* The two are often found in the House of Gaming, trying to get high scores on the arcade cabinets. There, Sonic found out they own a Sega Master System instead of an [=NES=] like everyone else, and they've become good friends ever since. It helps that [[Creator/RogerCraigSmith he sounds like]] an intern that once worked with them.
** However, they've stayed as far away as possible from the Polybius Cabinet, believing that it actually [[SealedEvilInACan has the Destroyer of Worlds inside of it]].
* Despite having [[RealityWarping near-invincible powers]] when playing the Realm of Darthon, they think that it blows and they refuse to play it again. The have been advised to keep the game away from Chris [=McLean=], in fear that he might screw everyone over with his constant [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem rule-changing]]. They've agreed, as he reminds them of a Japanese host that tried to kill them and Benson.
* Impressed many of the SuperRobot pilots (Team Dai-Gurren [[ShoutOut especially]]) by piloting a mech made of their allies, the Baby Ducks, and their former enemies, the Geese, known as Hyper Duck King Breaker White Lightning. The Mecha Cohort fears what this could mean for them.
* Mordecai and Rigby along with their fellow ''Regular Show'' companions were given a large send-off, being the first of their [[TheNewTens generation's]] cartoons to finish, at least those associated with Cartoon Network. Furthermore, when they returned, they were now older adults, taken on the form of themselves 25 years later from their epilogue (being now about in their early 50s). However, the rules of the Pantheon allow them to switch between their Epilogue age and their original age. They tend to remain in their older age for the most part.
** Furthermore, with them having grown up and [[spoiler: starting families, Rigby with Eileen and Mordecai with a fellow artist (a batwoman possibly named Stef), they have been invited to join the Families side of the Pantheon, which they have done so.]]

* Man who catch fly with chopstick accomplish anything.
* Many Gods in the House of Combat are ''floored'' when they see Mr. Miyagi being able to fight with the likes of Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. Mr. Miyagi just smiles at everyone's disbelief.
* Is a highly disputed mentor in the House of Sports. Anyone he decides to train ends up doing menial tasks all through the various houses.
* According to his student Daniel (and later verified by Mr. Miyagi himself), his ancestor had all but invented karate. Miyagi's ancestor traveled to China, where he learned White Crane Kung Fu. Returning to Okinawa, he adapted it into karate.
* One of his best friends in the pantheon is Jackie Chan, [[Film/TheKarateKid2010 who "portrayed him" in the remake.]]
* [[Pantheon/{{Disguises}} Mulan]] deeply respects him, and was shocked to hear he wasn't Chinese given [[Creator/PatMorita he sounds like her Emperor]].
* Has become friends with Rocky, given both share a director (John G. Avildsen), tragedies in their lives, and mentor qualities given [[Film/Creed2015 Rocky becomes a trainer]].
* Was unbelievably happy upon the ascension of his greatest student, Daniel-san, and is always accompanying him to any events.
** On the other hand, the Cobra Kais were less welcome. Miyagi has instantly shown scorn for John Kreese, and while he has shown respect to Johnny Lawrence's development as he switched into a sensei role, Lawrence still recalls very well the beatdown Miyagi once gave him.
* Hamato Splinter has been through trials and tribulations of loss and pain to become the wise and strong master he is in multiple continuities, as such he holds other masters who've overcome pain and hardships and not only came out stronger but also do good in high regard. One of these masters was Miyagi, who had to live through the horrors of World War II and lost his wife and unborn son, who died of childbirth complications, while he was out at war. That Miyagi has also had to contend with less than honorable masters of martial arts such as John Kreese, who went through similar harships as Miyagi but turned to dishonor and cruelty afterwards, his experiences with a [[{{Expy}} similar]] martial artist to Kreese known as Kristoff Von Bradford only furthered this.
* Shows concern for Johnny of the Curtis Gang, given how much he reminds him of Daniel, but much more insecure. He feels pretty sad for Johnny's tragic life, though also finds that it has made him remarkably wise for his age. Miyagi has offered to take on Johnny as a proper pupil. Johnny isn't sure he wants to go so far, though he really enjoys Miyagi's quiet and relaxing company.
* Iori Hida of the 2002 Digidestined appreciates the company of Mr. Miyagi, as the old karate teacher reminds him of his grandfather. Sure, grandpa was goofier, but he and Miyagi have the same penchant for proverbial wisdom. In his visits to Miyagi, Iori's also become friends with his pupil Daniel, and the two may be seen training together sometimes.

* Admires: [[Pantheon/MusicalCompositions Norman Bates]]
* Ascended when he managed to convince the Pantheon that he was a psychic god. He immediately built an office in his new temple, in order to help out the House of Crime. It was later revealed that he was only pretending to be psychic, but the gods were impressed enough that they allowed him full Demigod rank.
** Those who work in the House of Pantheon/LawAndJustice have varying levels of patience with Shawn's antics. Unsurprisingly, Judge Dredd has the least amount of that but knows he's too valuable to throw out. He merely throws him over to other deities in that department. Usually, that means a lot of hand-wringing from them. The Dark-Judges think they are better off offing him.
** His mortal partner, Burton Guster, followed Shawn into the pantheon. It involved a lot of high-pitched nervous breakdowns and meandering over whether or not to actually leave the mortal plane. Gus is acknowledged as Shawn's partner, and granted divinity, but technically has no position. Nevertheless, their friendship is said to rival that of J.C. and Turk (not that they mind; those two were huge fans of the pairing as well).
** He hooked up with Detective Juliet O'Hara, whom he frequently stays over with. He even lets her into the House of Justice. This is met with a sigh of relief as she's the person who does the best job taming him.
* Shawn will often hide pineapples in random places in the pantheon, thinking that more gods need to eat pineapples. When asked why, he said that it was because "[he's] a fan of delicious flavor."
* Shawn is vulnerable to the EvilIsCool trope, and has made friends with "cool" gods in the House of Crime, such as Robin Hood. This makes the House of Justice suspicious, but Shawn will not actually help commit any crimes, and Robin Hood generally gets a pass anyway.
** A more accurate way of describing Shawn's relationship with the House of Crime is that he'll get along with ''heroic'' criminals.
** Barney took note of this and has begun to coax him into helping the "far more awesome villains." The GUAG took note of this and have made sure the two interacted as little as possible.
*** Not that it mattered. Despite Shawn thinking some of the more Robin Hood-esque villains are cool, he is very much grounded in good. Coming from a family of police offiers, this was understandable. Furthermore, it was the whole reason he became a detective in the first place, especially when the police are unable or unwilling to help.
* Shawn was once found roaming the House of Knowledge, unannounced, reading his own book (''Psych's Guide to Crime Fighting for the Totally Unqualified'') out loud, claiming he was doing a reading. He was soon asked to knock it off.
* Is part of a legendary rivalry with fellow detective Patrick Jane. Despite this, he doesn't not care much for Patrick Jane, calling him a lame version of himself. Nevertheless, the reveal about visiting a site called "The-Mentalist-Spoilers-dot-com" caused the rivalry to explode. Even their creators pop jabs at each other. When fooling someone that he really is psychic, Shawn compares himself to Jane, "except I'm not a fake". This only further infuriates Jane, as he doesn't believe in psychics in the first place.
** Tensions simmered slightly with the ascension of Nathan Castle, who managed to befriend both of them. If either of them are forced to work together, they would bring in Castle as the deciding factor.
* Holmes doesn't usually mind giving him company. He knows there's a genius behind that flamboyant personality. That and he has been the subject of isolation from his peers as well.
* Shawn has announced that he, Gus and their friends would be [[http://io9.gizmodo.com/batman-is-proposing-to-catwoman-in-this-weeks-comics-1795856152 returning for a holiday special on December 2017,]] to the jubiliation of many of his followers and allies.
* Jake Peralta really loves working with Shawn in contrast to other cops. Jake was at first, wary of him due to the fact that he lied about his psychic powers, but they later got along as he was useful at picking up clues and enjoys talking a lot about pop culture.
* Unlike most people who interact with Jack Torrance, Shawn was actually happy to be face-to-face with the hotel that one of their adventures was based on. In fact, he wanted to figure out whether the hotel was truly haunted or not. Gus wisely steered Shawn away from such a dangerous plan.
* Most detectives have kept an arm's length from Norman Bates. Not Shawn. The detective couldn't wait to interview one of the most well-known SlasherMovie killers on the big screen. To Norman, it was intimidating having someone ask so many intrusive questions. Luckily, Gus was there to talk him out of it. After all, there is always the chance that his SplitPersonality makes him more murderous.

* Living from 1856 to 1939, Sigismund Schlomo Freud was an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychotherapy. An influential figure, he is known for the theories of [[FreudianTrio id, ego and super-ego]], the UsefulNotes/OedipusComplex, repression and the defense mechanism. Though the merits of his psychological theories have been debated for a century, Sigmund Freud is undeniably one of the most influential and iconic neurologists in history.
* The #1 shipper of [[Pantheon/PlainNeutral "You"]]/Your Mother or Your Sister or Your Female Cousin. [[Series/{{Scrubs}} The Todd]] follows most, if not all, of Dr. Freud's philosophies. Do not challenge to a [[YourMom yo momma]] joke off, unless one wants to get burned [[http://reparrishcomics.com/image/109913235608 thusly]]. However, Freud has learned to his detriment [[BerserkButton some gods take very poorly]] [[YourMom to any accusations of mommy issues]]. Eric Cartman has threatened [[FamilialCannibalismSurprise to give him the "Tenorman treatment"]] if he so much as discusses him.
* Freud is usually too busy with work to be freely accessed in his temple. He once held the FreudWasRight trope, but he felt "AllPsychologyIsFreudian" fit him more. You can find him working with deities from the Pantheon/{{Characterization}}, [[Pantheon/FamilyAndRelatives Family]], [[Pantheon/LoveAndAffection Love]], Pantheon/{{Mentalism}} and Pantheon/{{Personality}} houses. Oedipus is a frequent client, however he would like to remind people he doesn't actually have an UsefulNotes/OedipusComplex [[SurpriseIncest since he didn't know who his parents were]]. Of course, he does have a bunch of other issues he needs therapy for.
* Freud tends to treat those with family issues, with those from a BigScrewedUpFamily being of particular interest to him. He was very interested in [[Myth/ArthurianLegend Mordred]] due to being to him famous characters, though confused at first there were two. Unsurprisingly, [[Pantheon/FamilyDysfunctions their sub-house]] sees the most cases from Freud. He's found his hands full with Bojack Horseman as well. Naturally, both [[Pantheon/ExtrovertFlaws flaws]] [[Pantheon/IntrovertFlaws sub-houses]] are often those looking to get involved with Freud.
* Roger Smith likes to impersonate him as "Dr Penguin". Dr Freud is bothered by this as he feels the alien gives him a bad image. Still, this doesn't stop him and Roger doing cocaine together...[[ValuesDissonance it was a different time]], but Sigmund Freud did have a bit of a cocaine problem. He was researching it at a time it was considered somewhat of a panacea. [[Pantheon/OtherDimensions Rick Sanchez]] might not respect him for being a therapist, but does like his cocaine interest. Still, [[EveryoneHasStandards while he's not giving it up Freud doesn't appreciate drug dealers]].
* Diavolo is especially repulsive to Freud, as he not only has drug dealt [[WouldHurtAChild to children]] [[LackOfEmpathy with no concern]] [[EvilCannotComprehendGood or even proper moral understanding]], [[KinslayingIsASpecialKindOfEvil but wants to kill his daughter]]. As a father himself, Freud finds that deeply appaling, however Hannibal Lecter, the Joker and Johan Liebert frighten him more. Lecter has a bad habit [[HannibalLecture of breaking those who try to interrogate him by interrogating them]], [[AffablyEvil though for a psychopath he's rather friendly]]. [[CriticalPsychoanalysisFailure The Joker's madness tends to be infectious]], and Freud [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness doesn't give him any levity]], bluntly he's merely [[ObfuscatingInsanity lying about being insane to exploit the insanity defense]]. [[MindRape And Johan is... bad for his health]]. Freud honestly suspects the Joker and Johan [[AmbiguouslyHuman aren't even human]].
* He was outraged at [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Arkham Asylum]] [[BedlamHouse for being an utter failure of an insane asylum]], and is working with Bruce Wayne in replacing it with an actually competent psychiatric ward. While Freud's methods have been criticized, his contempt for Arkham's status is totally justified. Batman is glad that he's at least an honest psychologist and sometimes serves as a client. Sigmund Freud's hope is that Gotham City is changed to one where the mentally ill are properly treated, and the [[CardboardPrison revolving door prison system]] stops. Freud has also called out Arkham for claiming most of Batman's rogues are [[TheMentallyDisturbed legally insane]][[note]]most egregiously, the Joker[[/note]] when only a handful of them actually are[[note]]such as Harvey Dent[[/note]].
* Remains a controversial figure in psychotherapy, though undoubtedly an important and iconic one. However while his personality can be acerbic and domineering, he can hardly be called abusive. So he is disgusted to his very core at Dr Angus Bumby, for being a trafficker of child sex slaves and a rapist. Freud is also bothered by one of Batman's oldest foes, Hugo Strange, [[PsychoPsychologist somehow managing to become a psychologist]]. Another reason to be on Batman's good side, in case he were to ever ascend. [[BerserkButton Basically; if you use the position of therapy to exploit and manipulate, except no mercy from Dr Freud]].
* Even though [[Pantheon/{{Siblings}} Koishi Komeiji]] is (or was) the Goddess of his ideal subconscious, not even he can examine what goes on her head. Also, he would like to tell many of the SuperRobot gods that their oversized weapons ([[ThisIsADrill drills, especially]]) are a bit questionable. They merely reply that if a drill isn't just a drill, his cigar [[FreudWasRight is something else of his]]. [[ActuallyPrettyFunny Freud snortled at this]]. Looping back to the aforementioned Komeiji sister, when he approached her and her older sister near the House of Pantheon/LoveAndAffection, [[NoodleIncident what followed was Satori being the most physically active she'd ever been in quite a long time]], resulting in her subsequent temporary ban from that House, and hospitalization in the House of Pantheon/HealthAndDiseases for Freud.
* He had a long history with his rival, Carl Jung. The two quarrel because of Jung's emphasis of mythology and religion in his studies, in which Jung believed that it enables neurosis. As Freud is atheist, he regards them as a flight from dealing with real problems. Since then, the two made boundaries so that they never interfere with their research.
* Dr Freud regularly works with Dr. Fraiser Crane, being that he's his idol and originally his high priest.
* Thanks to [[Pantheon/{{Protagonists}} Joey Tribbiani]], some people are campaigning to get [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wkcobSvExM this]] as Sigmund's theme song. Freud is still unsure on the matter.
* Is one to posit that troubled people are the way they are because of a DarkAndTroubledPast, hence why the FreudianExcuse has the name it is. When the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood addressed [[CompleteMonster the worst of the worst]] who dwell in the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, he admits [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse it's often more of an explanation and he's not condoning anything]]. Anyone who seems to be [[EnfantTerrible evil from the get-go]] he thinks it's because [[NotEvenHuman they aren't human]] and thus human psychology can't apply. [[MadeOfEvil Sometimes he's right]], [[HumansAreTheRealMonsters but sometimes he's not]].
* Amusingly enough, he thinks [[Pantheon/{{Villainy}} Melkor]] is the way he is because of "daddy issues", a statement that deeply annoys the GodOfEvil. Considering his StartOfDarkness was wanting to be able to create like, and be independent from [[Pantheon/DivineRoles his maker]], Freud may be right on that one. He suspects this to be the case of many a SatanicArchetype and outright {{Satan}}, and when it comes to [[Pantheon/{{Categorism}} the Lucifer of Supernatural]] it's an accurate statement.
* Hates Nazi deities, [[ItsPersonal who decried his views, forced him and his daughter to leave, and exterminated some of his relatives. Also, he's Jewish]]. His high-profile status is part of what spared him and his close family from UsefulNotes/TheHolocaust. Interestingly, [[https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-21859771 there was a time where he, Hitler, Trostky, Stalin and Tito all lived in the same place]]. [[Film/TheEmptyMirror Hitler was actually one his clients in the afterlife]]. [[VideoGame/TeamFortress2 He was also the original BLU Medic]], [[Film/BillAndTedsExcellentAdventure and one of the figures who aided Bill and Ted in their history test]]. Also, while his views have come under criticism, that doesn't make him any less infuriated by the InsaneTrollLogic of Kilian Experience.
* Though he far from hates him as he does the Nazis, he has criticized fellow (former) therapist Takuto Maruki for his prior actions [[LotusEaterMachine in the "creation" of a perfect world]], pointing to [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedonic_treadmill the hedonic treadmill]]. However the Dreamer has reformed from that way of thinking and is more than willing to work with and discuss psychology with Dr Freud. Freud was intrigued by [[Franchise/{{Persona}} the setting he comes from]] being themed on the theories of his arch-rival Jung.
* [[Pantheon/LustfulBehavior Slaanesh]] and [[Pantheon/PersonsOfDesire Desire]] would attest to the supposed argument that [[FreudWasRight everything has to do with sex to some extent]]. Sigmund Freud would like to remind them that while he believes a lot does involve sex, passion and desire, perhaps more than what other psychologists think, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Though he does think [[Pantheon/BeastOther the Sarlacc]] [[VaginaDentata is highly suspicious]]. And [[Pantheon/{{Planning}} Adrian Veidt]] is trying to say something with his "alien".
