It takes Neiro (whose true memories are stored inside a creature named Hyo-Hyo due to her current memories being tampered with) helping Kaiba understand his own past related to his mother that the true Warp (aka the person she named Kaiba) is able to move past his initial malevolent personality and defeat the plant monster that was threatening the world. |

While hearing about people who could manipulate memories unnerved Jonas, the fact that there was someone who not only functioned as a King of Memories but could access memories from inside a person and was responsible for a world where memories are stored in chips that can be transferred to other bodies and that if someone doesn’t have a chip when they die, they release memory eggs that either end up in outer space or stored in tanks (in addition to the aforementioned looking inside someone’s memories part) came as a shock to him. Not only that, but Kaiba used to have an uncaring personality until meeting Neiro changed him for the better and while Kaiba’s change of heart did mitigate Jonas’ concerns about him, Jonas still can’t imagine what society would be like if it was ruled over by a malevolent king with great power over memories. On his end, Kaiba does have a curiosity towards a normal person tasked with watching over memories and is willing to keep Jonas safe from harm. While Jonas appreciates Kaiba’s help, hearing about another world where memories are handled very differently compared to others was a lot for Jonas to take in. |

It isn’t entirely clear how such things would end up being of use to Shukuro’s plans in the Pantheon, but Kaiba does have the tools needed to go inside someone’s mind and see if something is wrong with any memories inside. In a more general sense, brainwashing someone can heavily impact memories and in spite of Kaiba being fairly powerful, he’s as much of a target as most others, if not moreso considering his association with memories, when it comes to someone wanting to alter the minds of others for something dangerous and it is possible that people like Shukuro want to use Kaiba himself for whatever plan they have. |
| 92 | * Kaiba learned about other methods of altering memories, with Stands (a supernatural being present in certain deities) being one such entity that can have such powers. Rohan Kishibe was one such deity with a Stand that can look inside people’s memories, specifically through the use of Heaven’s Door where in addition to writing commands on someone’s “pages”, he can alter these pages and even tear them off, affecting someone’s memories in the process. As someone looking for an interesting story to write and draw, Rohan was more than curious about someone who was described as the king of memories and while he was tempted to use Heaven’s Door on Kaiba, he learned about the memory chips, memory eggs, and various tools that originated from the latter’s world associated with accessing the memories of someone. Rohan would learn that if he uses Heaven’s Door on someone, then the memory chip or memory eggs belonging to that person can tell that their memories would be altered. Kaiba was someone who doesn’t get too heavily involved in major conflicts, but Rohan remained intrigued by the fact that there was someone heavily associated with memories and Kaiba’s role in making transferable memories the norm in his world gave Rohan some inspiration for additional stories. |
| 93 | ** While Kaiba at the very least doesn’t mind Rohan that much, Enrico Pucci was someone who Kaiba had plenty of concerns about, especially where controlling aspects of people are concerned. Whereas Rohan is an eccentric, but still relatively friendly individual who only uses his powers when things get dire, Pucci is able to use his Stand to extract Discs from people, affecting them in different ways (including affecting their memories) and despite putting up a friendly front, he has darker ambitions in mind. The fact that Pucci with his Stand at his most powerful was able to reset the universe via speeding up time alarmed Kaiba as it meant that it was possible for the memory chips and/or eggs present in individuals affected during such drastic shifts in time to be outright destroyed. It was one thing to literally remove memories from someone, but to alter the passage of time through drastic methods was something that could threaten Warp and his methods of memory storage as a whole. Pucci did notice that the memory chips and eggs that were discussed in the Pantheon had a bit in common with the Discs he can extract from others and considering how those chips might be used to figure out if he had any role in changing that person and that these chips can be accessed by multiple people, Pucci has modified his plans accordingly to prevent anyone from getting ahold of these items. |
| 94 | * Besides Kaiba, there were plenty of entities who suffered from amnesia in some capacity and went on a journey to figure out what’s going on. Of those characters, Mouse Fitzgerald was an amnesiac that Kaiba had to figure out a lot of since Fitz had repressed memories and was fighting against someone that wanted to control the world around them. Kaiba did have to fight against others looking to rule the world via overthrowing him, yet looking through Fitz’s memories only resulted in Kaiba finding a tangled web inside Fitz’s minds (and it’s likely that other deities have a similarly tangled web hiding other memories in them) and not much that could bring Fitz closer to the truth he’s seeking. Fitz noted that Kaiba could be someone who could understand a lot of the weirder events in the Pantheon and that the memory chips that are being mentioned could benefit someone depending on where they end up and surmises that things could get worse and that Kaiba will be in trouble, if someone dangerous gets ahold of specific memory chips. Despite Fitz’s cryptic wording, Kaiba has tried what he can to prevent the Pantheon from falling apart at the hands of some sort of force that is targeting Warp and his memory-based items. |
| 95 | * There were various clones of Warp who were made to rule in his absence should it happen, with some of the aged clones conspiring to overthrow Warp’s leadership position so that they could rule it themselves and a different clone who Kaiba ended up fighting against. As far as those officially designated as a clone of some sort in the Pantheon is concerned, Shadow the Hedgehog was someone who Kaiba was able to be friendly with. Shadow was created as a weapon by a race of malevolent aliens, only to find someone named Maria Robotnik who he cared about, losing her and later his memories, before recovering said memories so that he could fight against a dangerous villain. With Shadow continuing his adventures alongside his own group of friends, Shadow found it a little amusing that someone specialized in memories would end up losing memories of his own for a bit, but was still able to understand him considering the relatively similar circumstances despite Kaiba’s story being more confusing and strange at times. |
| 96 | * In his personal desire to punish anyone that wrongs him through the use of his own personal virtual reality, Robert Daly heard about Kaiba, the memory chips, and how said chips can be used to transfer someone’s memories onto someone else. While Daly is able to create copies of specific people through a single DNA sample somehow, these memory chips contain equally important aspects of an individual and Daly believes that getting access to tools that allow him to get ahold of these chips would make him even more powerful in the virtual world. Kaiba is justifiably disgusted to learn that someone would want to abuse important memory-related tools and items to live out a twisted fantasy to the point of wiping-out whatever humanity was left of victims of such. Daly actually getting to use these tools hasn’t happened yet, thanks to Kaiba and other powerful deities thwarting Daly’s efforts on a regular basis. |
| 97 | * Simply put, memory chips belonging to a particular person allow that person’s conscience to be put inside a different body. Kaiba would learn that the Pantheon featured different (and at times, direct) methods of taking over someone else’s body that would end with someone’s memory chip still inside their original bodies during the entire body-jacking process. The Lich was someone who can possess different bodies and considering that he intends to destroy the world around him, Kaiba is worried that The Lich could bring devastation on a much greater scale compared to the plant monster from back then and considering how much effort it would take to get rid of The Lich for good, it would require plenty of deities and not just Kaiba diving into the minds of others to figure out where The Lich would strike next. Kaiba being a king of memories comparable to a god has made him a target of the Chaos Kin, another entity that seeks the destruction of everything around itself and those who know Warp don’t want him to revert to a more destructive version of his original pre-Kaiba personality at the hands of the Chaos Kin. |
| 98 | * Warp was someone who could be described as an uncaring figure before being given the name Kaiba and becoming a better person through Neiro. When Kaiba was temporarily in his “Warp” personality while fighting against one of his clones, it was Neiro who helped him come to terms with his past to stop further devastation from occurring. Count Bleck, when he was once known as Lord Blumiere, fell in love with Timpani (later known as Tippi), only to turn to villainy before realizing at the end she was alive and and it was their love of each other that put an end to the destruction that was about to happen. Kaiba noticed some of the similarities between that duo’s relationship and his own relationship with Neiro and how one person from both ended up falling apart in different ways (Bleck turning to villainy and Neiro being used as a tool to fight Warp) before reconciling at the end. Like Count Bleck, Kaiba has been trying to be a good person in spite of his past actions, though Bleck and Tippi are willing to support him no matter what happens. |

Before leaving, Elfnein took with her pieces of the cursed sword Dainsleif to stop her original. The Autoscorers slain by the “cursed songs” of Dainsleif would only help her dissect the planet. Despite this intricate plan and putting up a hell of a fight even after the Château’s destruction, Carol was ultimately defeated and left an amnesiac from abusing memory-burning alchemy before lending her body to a dying Elfnein. Elfnein herself would continue to assist the Symphogears alongside S.O.N.G. while also trying to bring back Carol. Her efforts would be rewarded when Carol reemerged during the conflict involving Noble Red and Shem-Ha Mor though the ancient alchemist would ultimately perish for good in the final battle against the latter, finally joining her father’s side in the afterlife. |

Said memory transferring was also how Carol saved Elfnein’s life and would be how Elfnein would reconstitute Carol later on. It didn’t happen immediately, but while walking with Hibiki she managed to catch a glimpse of a familiar face within a crowd. Her intuition is proved correct when after some searching she manages to reunite with her other self who was presently with her father. Carol was caught off guard when Elfnein rushed over to hug her but reciprocated the gesture. As a celebration for the two reuniting in the Pantheon they spent the next few days reconstructing the four Autoscorers. |

Even the Autoscorers noted this upon being reconstituted by the two in the Pantheon and just decided to roll with the fact that they have two masters now who are nearly exactly alike though they never differentiate from the two to both Carol and Elfnein’s confusion. Fitting, since Elfnein certainly cherished him as much as Carol did, enough to convince her to ''stop'' rather than pursue her revenge. As it turns out the two are far from the only homunculi here. Carol clicked with Illyasviel, a homunculus created by the Einzbern family created as a vessel for the Holy Grail, whose anger also stemmed from problems involving her own father albeit for the opposite reasons. Elfnein connected more with the other Illya, who became a MagicalGirl, and she thought much of the same. There was Irisviel, Illya’s mother, who was also a homunculus created by the Einzberns for the same reasons, and she ecstatically met the two upon hearing that her Illya(s) made new friends. Hearing of their story one day moved the woman to tears and embraced the two of them, much to their shock (and annoyance from Carol). Since then, the two frequently meet up with the Illyas, even hanging out around Iri and Kiritsugu’s temple. Kiritsugu found the homunculi to be peculiar, or rather just Carol really given her history but decided to let it go since regardless his daughters are happy. That being said, he doesn’t know what to think about the Autoscorers who sometimes tag along Carol and Elfnein. |

Her strength even surpasses the Bavarian Illuminati’s top brass barring Adam, a SuperPrototype to humanity, though more heavy usage of her alchemy comes at the cost of burning her memories. Elfnein, while not possessing any fighting capability of her own, is still capable in her own right through the alchemical knowledge she inherited from Carol. It's because of this she remains a crucial member of S.O.N.G. as she has been a help with not just on alchemy but on heretical technology in general. Such tech was lost to history and kept secret but those who do know but no such secrecy exists in the Pantheon, which is as fantastical as it can get with many gods having knowledge in alchemy and many other technological fields and sciences for that matter. |
| 172 | ** One day, the two were approached by the famed Edward and Alphonse Elric who wanted to meet with Elfnein and Carol. Part of it was because they hailed from a universe where the practice of alchemy was seen as normal barring the more sinister arts but it was also motivated out of a concern regarding Carol. They know about the general details regarding the Magical Girl Incident but wanted to learn more. Elfnein was quick to vouch for Carol, accepting that while she had committed many sins Carol also came through for her multiple times and even helped save the world from Shem-ha with no strings attached, even if it came at the cost of her life that Elfnein spent so much time trying to salvage. The two were more at ease with this situation, especially Ed despite there [[TooMuchAlike being enough similarities for him and Carol to clash]] as he eventually gave up the ability to use alchemy for good to save Al when he gave up himself to save him from Father. While brothers left on agreeable terms with both (though they were closer to Elfnein) their allies from back home, however, were obviously quite distrustful of Carol. Not helping things is Carol herself not being in any hurry to try and convince them otherwise. For what it’s worth, they do share a common enemy in the form of Father and his followers such as the Homunculi (barring Greed) and Dante, as well as other malicious alchemists like Relius Clover. |
| 173 | ** Elfnein clicked with the likes of Shulk and Tails almost immediately given their pechants for machinery. Shulk admits her curiosity and focus on work reminds him of himself as well as his son Nichol while Elfnein was surprised hearing that early on in his life [[AllLovingHero he of all people]] swore bloody revenge on the Machina following their attack on Colony 9, being reminded of Carol’s own growing hatred after seeing her father burn at the stake before her very eyes. Unlike Carol, however, he never quite lost himself in his rage as his resolve became conflicted when the truth behind the Machina’s invasion slowly revealed itself culminating in him choosing to not kill Egil after beating his Machina, Yaldabaoth, and successfully talked him down. When it comes to Tails is reminded of his own role and contributions to Sonic and his friends as well as the confidence issues he once held when pairing his skills to theirs before finding his own footing. She has his full support against the nefarious Dr. Eggman. |
| 174 | ** Carol herself would meet with Plague Knight and Mona during a trip to the beach with the Autoscorers (her father and Elfnein each had their own commitments) where Leuir and Micha helped fight off a [[Pantheon/AquaticLife Daimyo Hermitaur]] and blowing it up and somehow also cooking it to perfection. Plague Knight and Mona bore witness to the whole ordeal and after an offhand mention that Carol was an alchemist like the she was dragged into an extensive conversation about explosives over some lunch[[note]]Yes, the Daimyo Hemitaur ended up becoming said lunch[[/note]]. By the end of it the two suggested helping pitch in with the fireworks show later that day, making a note of wanting to upstage the store bought fireworks with something more authentic. Carol was apprehensive but Leiur and Micha were and dragged their master into it anyway. Upon finishing and seeing their collective handiwork in action begrudgingly admitted she actually had fun with their little project. It's said Carol pops up every now and then to help with whatever plan they’re concocting next. |
| 175 | * The Pantheon is home to a number of fantastic beings, homunculi and other artificial clones being among them. There were of course the aforementioned other homunculi under Father, for one, who menaced the Pantheon under his command. And though it may not be apparent at first glance Grima himself is a homunculus created by the late alchemist Forneus who experimented on divine dragon blood and Grima became the result. [[Pantheon/GenderRoles Alm and Celica]] originally defeated him within the depths of the Thabes Labyrinth but he would meet his end at the hands of [[Pantheon/GamingConsequences Chrom]] and [[Pantheon/MinionsAndSidekicks Robin]]. Surprise surprise, neither of the two are fond of the dragon for damning the world in the BadFuture where it took over Robin. When it comes to clones there was Sophie, a copy of a witch who also suffered betrayal in the past despite the good she did for Elsysadr and used the opportunity of coming back to have her revenge. This commonality between her and Carol was not lost to either and intensified after Carol caught her harassing the FIS Symphogears with Sophie opening fire on her as well. This ended poorly for Sophie as she was caught by Dur da Blá’s strings before being nailed with Elemental Slaughter which should have spelled the end for the cloned witch but she miraculously survived and limped all the way back to her allies. She has not forgotten the humiliation set by Carol and promised to take revenge and come back with an army at her side. Carol matter of factly stated she’d ''still'' stomp her and every last one of the goons she brings into the ground. As a precaution, she also gave Elfnein and the rest of S.O.N.G the information that her Autoscorers gleaned from their spy missions following the debacle with Sophie. |
| 176 | * Emperor Belos in his insane quest to rid the Pantheon of the non-human gods and any humans “corrupted” by their influence has set his sights on many gods and goddesses. Elfnein and Carol were of course included, citing their nature as homunculi and the stunt involving the planet’s dissection. The feeling is more than mutual given not only his past as a witch hunter but also the many, many atrocities he committed against the Boiling Isles including an attempted genocide. What also stuck out for the two, however, was how he treated the Grimwalker clones of his brother, Caleb, whom he originally struck them. As a matter of fact, he continuously slaughtered said clones over the years. Elfnein was horrified by this, and Carol, even as someone who manipulated Elfnein, found him beyond deplorable. Elfnein quickly alerted her friends of the threat Belos posed while Carol noted that he is one of the few people she will rally against in spite of not wanting to be involved with. Unlike the Autoscorers, none of them were able to speak as she originally would have liked and was surprised to hear they directly drew from different facets of Carol’s personality. Hearing that Eirudy’s dolls were made to be her friends made Garie chime in that Carol held affection for them as well. Carol refuted that she of course cherished them given that they were integral for her original World Dissection plan but Elfnein and the other dolls commented that she also intended for them to receive a proper burial after coming back to life and holding off Noble Red for Elfnein. [[{{Tsundere}} Carol wasn’t particularly amused by that]] but Eirudy had a good chuckle over it having confirmed they’re pretty close at the end of the day. The deity since then has popped up every now and then in the future. |

Ordis’ mood since he was notified that their enemies within the Origin System had also managed to secure their own places in the Pantheon and gained a significant foothold. While the likes of the Grineer, the Corpus, and the Infested have gained allies to help and assist them, they also earned a number of their own rivals and enemies who seek to topple them and subvert their influences. It did genuinely bring a metaphorical smile to his face, and he wishes to see them slaughtered for himself, but greeting the Operator takes priority. His devotion to his Operator is why he isn't all that present around his temple. It's more or less just a place where you could interact with the Cephalon directly that's reminiscent of the Orbiter, minus [[MeatMoss the Infested tissue]] growing inside. Whether he actually greets any visitors is another story, however. |

While she became troubled in her second life, she did eventually come to terms with her wrath. Ordis hasn’t commented on it, but envies the three for properly facing their issues while at the same time deep down he does appreciate the concern |

He used to idolize the Cephalon but ever since he revealed his callousness they haven’t got along since, even after the incident with Hunhow. |

After approaching Beifong for help in interrogating Shukuro, they were able to subdue him without getting cut by his sword. Wonder Woman appeared and provided the assistance of the Lasso of Truth to compel Tsukishima to explain the true motive behind his actions. He revealed that after succumbing to his wounds from the battle with Byakuya, he had been sent to the first level of Bleach Hell as well as seen visions of Xcution's leader and butler both being tortured by Hell's lowermost flames. Furthermore, he'd been pulled out of Hell and into the Pantheon by what he could only describe as a faceless robe, and was now doing all he could to find a way to rescue his leader. Ichigo called this out as "total bullshit", stating that the three of them and even one of the surviving members had just been there helping Ichigo and the Gotei 13 in the war against Yhwach and his Vandenreich army in Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the Human World, and during an unrelated campaign in Hell he'd caught no sight of them at all. Beifong could vouch from their previous incident that Kurosaki wasn't one to lie, but Shukuro couldn't have been fibbing either, given he was wrapped in Diana's ropes. |

Those who knew of the powers of Death Phantom ''instantly'' connected the dots as to what happened. However, just to make certain, they checked with Sailor Pluto and the Door of Space-Time, to see Bleach's Hell and Soul Society in the wake of the Fullbringers' deaths. Sure enough, Shukuro and his friends did not appear in Hell at any point, but they did appear in Soul Society being rescued by Ichigo's friend and then assisting the Number One Guardian, just as he said they did, all to repay their debt to him for saving them when he beat them. So then how did Shu find the Pantheon in the first place? Sometime after the Thousand Year Blood War's end, Shukuro had stumbled onto a sealed portal and, curious, decided to cut it and alter its history so that it had never been sealed and wouldn't be until he walked through it. This confirmed that the lich of the Planet Nemesis had manipulated Tsukishima through his loyalty to Xcution, messing with his memories to make him think they were all in Hell. |

Eventually, her long journey would end off at her school to both finally find Sakura and recall all of her memories. |

Tragedy struck when the former was hospitalized from a car accident while walking with Hal and Anzu ended their friendship having both blamed her for the accident and being resentful that Amayumi didn't return her feelings as he fell for Hal instead. Her homeroom teacher, Miss Sakura, tried to reach out to her by inviting Hal to hear her stories every day though it that last as Sakura told her she would be transferred one day. With her only emotional crutch leaving her, Hal raced to a railroad crossing to take her own life and "go to the story world". At the last second her homeroom teacher went to push her away and the two ended up in the strange mental world they are in, all existing mere moments away from certain death. Sakura was the first to awake and soon figure out what was going on and used the time that she had to try and save them both. Alas, she came to the conclusion only one of them would be walking away alive, [[SelfSacrificeScheme and that person had to be Hal]]. Hal, however, found out about this and took matters into her own hands. Not only would she succeed where her teacher failed but also confronted the other side of her that didn't want to face reality having now gained the will to face a new tomorrow. |

While not physically present in the Pantheon he continues to communicate to Hal so long as she’s there every step of the way even as his original directive has long since been fulfilled. He won’t argue with being able to see more of the world as it’s more than can be said for any other traffic light at the end of the day. A good thing too as since she’s conscious in the real world this time around she’s unable to use her psychometry-esque powers. Hal was only able to use them because, as it was her consciousness, she would be more familiar with the ins and outs of it. |

Turns out the cat and dog, named Sissel and Missile respectively, were out looking for some parts for a girl named Kamila as she was out making yet another machine. Since she wasn’t planning on doing anything that day Hal and 195 decided to go and help them. Sissel was surprised to be talking with a traffic light since it brings back memories to when he was first awakened by a lamp. Hal, meanwhile, was actually caught off guard by the whole “powers of the dead” thing. More-so at the fact that Sissel’s dead. But not really. |

Hal would find that many people in the Pantheon went through similar circumstances, such is the case with Kaban, Zen, Rei, Hikari, Robin, and Terra. She would bond with them over this aspect, although she finds their cases pretty grand when compared to hers. Of them all, Hal is particularly close to Hikari since she too suffered from ostracization that soon spiraled into a catatonic depression but both are thankful enough to bounce back from it and continue doing what they’re passionate about. Often, she often assists the young aspiring film-maker in her projects. Behind her is Kaban and Serval since Hal likes to tag along with them in their new adventures in the Pantheon sometimes and Terra given she served as a mother-like figure for the orphaned children of Mobliz which reminded Hal easily connected to Ms. Sakura thanks to reminding her of her own late mother. |
| 518 | * For long-distance travel in her world, Hal utilized [[CoolGate transfer portals]] found throughout various points that connected to her room in The Whale though as the world started to decay and draw to a close they were rendered inoperable save for the one that was fixed by Stein, and even then that was a one-time use. Hal thanked him for the help as she took one to the Hall of [[Pantheon/GamingGenresAtoM Gaming]] [[Pantheon/GamingGenresNtoZ Genres]] as she encountered one of the transfer portals there. While she was nice enough to talk to and be around, Hal still couldn’t help but be a tad unnerved by her in the end. |

Part of the symbol associated with her in the Pantheon, that being the blue shoes, was a gift by her teacher. While they are adult-sized, Sakura hoped that by the time Hal was able to wear them things would have already gotten better for her. Sure enough, [[TheStinger after her adventure]] it's seen that Hal is not only wearing them but also took after beloved homeroom teacher through becoming one herself and continuing the tradition with her students. For this reason, she’s on good terms with many of the nicer teachers in the Pantheon. On the other side of the coin, she finds teachers like Agatha Trunchbull and Terence Fletcher reprehensible for their methods. Even when it was brought up how the latter does pull out his pupils’ potential Hal brings up that at the end of the day he’s still chasing the tail of other people’s fame and it doesn’t at all excuse any of the horrible things he has done either. |

While she’s not deaf like Shoko, she did have trouble speaking at all thanks to her nervousness and sympathizes for the bullying Shoko went through because of it. Hal was surprised to hear she was accompanied by Shoya Ishida, a boy who relentlessly bullied Shoko and forced her to transfer schools. At first, she was skeptical of him but hearing of his own turmoil and work to become a better person and make up for what he did soften Hal’s perception of him. As for Chihiro, his issue stemmed from his lack of physical strength which forced him to. Hal was sad to hear his will to change didn’t end well for him and while Chihiro agrees he also takes solace in the fact that his achievements helped his friends in the end too, to say nothing of the fact that thanks to the Pantheon he gets to spend time with them again and grow from there. On the topic of his achievements, she finds his technological know-how impressive even if she isn’t able to wrap her head around all the [[BuffySpeak science-y]] things like 195. On the times she stops by it’s the AI that tends to get in lengthy conversations with the former Ultimate like with Stein, a mouse engineer within The Whale. |
| 528 | ** On the other side of the coin are the bullies and the Pantheon has a bunch of them. Standing out among them are the likes of Gary Smith, a sociopath who sought to take over Bullworth Academy through manipulating everyone even including its staff, and John Kreese, a ruthless mentor who runs a ThugDojo and holds a brutal merciless worldview but also doesn’t tolerate anything less than first place. Luckily for Hal, she wouldn’t have to worry about them too much. After hearing her story Jimmy Hopkins came and visited her one day telling her that if people like them start to cause her trouble she can call him so that they get what’s coming to them. Hal would personally not stoop to that route at all but at the very least appreciates his willingness to help. |
| 529 | * One of the figures she met in her mental adventure was an AI taking the form of a giant eyeball named 0 who she first encountered when trying to get a water supply facility back up and running again. Although ominous with a goal to dominate the world (with all the hamminess that comes with it) Hal still treated him the same as she does with the other residents of the world. Despite being built up with some ulterior motives, 0 ended up taking the fall for 195’s self-destruction when the latter forced control over Hal to get her out of danger although due to 0’s nature [[LaserGuidedAmnesia he wouldn’t be remembered for his sacrifice]]. This would be remedied in the Pantheon as Hal would properly give him the respect he deserved for that. She thought that he came back when he heard of a deity that shared his name and matched the descriptor but was bummed out when it was a different, more malicious Zero that was aligned to Dark Matter. Still, she’s not terribly worried in the end. She figured that since he and the other Dark Matter members were beaten by [[Pantheon/{{Food}} Kirby]] once before there’s nothing stopping it from happening again. At the age of 78 he was to be titled Doctor Jubilaris in the University of Lund for his decades of service. The night before the ceremony he had a dream where he confronted his loneliness and approaching death. So instead of taking a quick plane ride to the destination as planned, Isak decided to make the 300-mile trek by car with his daughter-in-law Marianne. In his journey he stopped by his childhood home, which set off a series of rather vivid remembrances, and allowed three teenagers to hitchhike, one of which was the spitting image of his former fiancee Sara. In the end Isak's road trip allowed him to come to terms with his past and he resolved to be kinder to those around him. |
| 546 | * Isak woke up under a tree. He was not particularly alarmed at being outside instead of in his bed, assuming he was just vividly dreaming of his childhood memories. He found a letter in his pocket, telling him he'd been chosen to become a deity in a Pantheon, which he found somewhat narcissistic of himself to dream up. He took to walking until he reached a large mansion, which he entered, and was surprised at how the decor was mainly red. He was comforted that all the clocks (and they weren't few) seemed to functioning correctly, unlike in that nightmare he had. Then a stern lady in black appeared, demanding to know Isak's business in there. Isak let slip "Marianne," the name of his daughter-in-law, upon looking at her, as she resembled her, albeit older. She understood what was going on ([[ProductionPosse it's a common phenomenon among Bergman deities]]) and corrected Isak, saying she was Karin. And then Isak noticed the strangest thing; a small-ish red dinosaur shadowing Karin, which scared him out of his wits. Karin and, to Isak's astonishment, the dinosaur helped him sit down before he collapsed, and Karin concluded out loud that Isak wasn't a deity. That reminded Isak of the letter, which he showed to Karin. She explained all about the Pantheon and that whether he wanted to stay or not, he should pass by the Main House. That's more or less when Isak realized that this whole absurdity might not be a dream. |
| 547 | ** At length Isak decided this wasn't really any different from getting titled Doctor Jubilaris and that he would go and receive this honor as well. He requested that Karin come with him since she already had experience with this new place. She wasn't really enthusiastic, but to Isak's further astonishment, the dinosaur spoke, and well at that, prodding her to go with him. He also duly introduced himself as Guilmon, or [[Pantheon/MonsterBehavior Dukemon]] as he's known as a deity. Isak remarked that he'd like to know the story behind why someone like him was with someone like Karin, to which she replied she'd tell on the way. |

Either way, Agnes was glad about the new addition to the "extended family" when she heard the news. Isak is close to them, at times giving advice for taking care of the frail Agnes, and showing almost fatherly concern for Karin, as she is basically what Marianne might become if she and his son Evald cannot overcome the strain in their marriage. |
| 549 | ** During this trip they also happened to run into Alma and Elisabet Vogler. Isak couldn't help but note that the Pantheon seemed to be conspiring to repeat his previous trip verbatim and have him meet everybody that would seem familiar to him, as Alma resembled a perky teenager named Sara who hitchhiked with him on the way to Lund. On top of that, Sara was the spitting image of Isak's former fiancee who left him for his brother, so Alma, much like Sara 2, is a somewhat painful reminder of what he had lost. He's over it enough that he still enjoys Alma's company though. He also found it rather delightful that Alma's occupation was as a nurse, since that's roughly the same area as him, a retired medical doctor. He doesn't know what to make of the willfully mute Elisabet though. Karin's advice for him regarding her was to leave her be, since she had her reasons for her behavior. |
| 550 | ** Is quite friendly with Antonius Block as well, particularly considering Antonius went on his own travels that changed the way he looked at life, not dissimilar from Isak. He got a visit from Death in due time, challenging him to a game of chess as is typical of him when meeting for the first time any deity that interests him. Out of all the Bergman deities, Isak appears to be one of the calmest in dealing with Death, perhaps due to being more at peace with himself compared to most of the others, and also awareness of his old age. |
| 551 | * After settling into his temple (a replica of his house; he also brought up his housekeeper Agda to work for him just like she has for the past 40 years), Isak made quick friends of one of his immediate neighbors, and a rather surprising one at that: the dog Fluke. As it happens, Fluke used to be a human man in a past life, and he had a family which he treated coldly, something that rings familiar for Isak. When Fluke was born again as a dog and got his PastLifeMemories back, he did all he could to atone for his treatment of his family before realizing it was for the best to let them go. Despite how fantastical Fluke's story is in comparison to Isak's, both dog and old man definitely understand that they are similar in how they were very reprehensible towards their families but realized that and tried to do better by them. Because of that, Isak has all but unofficially adopted Fluke and the two of them can often be seen going on long walks. |
| 552 | * It was on one of these walks with Fluke that Isak met Carl Fredricksen, who was likewise taking his lovably stupid Golden Retriever Dug for a walk. One can assume that it felt refreshing for the both of them to find someone their age to talk to, with Isak discovering that Carl went on his own big trip, and the adventures he got into allowed him to overcome the pain in his past and consequent misanthropy. Isak also thought lifting a house through millions of balloons was a very original way to travel and would like to see that someday. From this, the two seniors have become good friends and can occasionally be seen sitting on a bench talking while Fluke and Dug frolic. |
| 553 | * He seems to meet with TheScrooge himself often ever since their first encounter during Isak's first Christmas in the Pantheon. It certainly has a lot to do with them having been bitter old men to everybody around them. That is, up until the day when they were haunted by the ghosts of their past. The ghosts were more literal in Scrooge's case, as Isak found out. Regardless of how supernatural their personal journeys were, they both got wake-up calls before it was too late and are consciously trying to be better people now. Those who had noticed that Isak's story has a lot of similarities with ''Literature/AChristmasCarol'' weren't few to begin with and there'll be more now. |
| 554 | * As mentioned before, he was a doctor for many decades, and while his personal life may have been a mess, he was highly beloved and respected among his patients. He is thus treated with some level of veneration in the House of Health and Diseases, and even if he is now long retired, medical deities occasionally visit him for advice. He's not sure if he should be treated with such authority, considering his old age and the little fact that his knowledge stops at developments in the late 1950's. The only deity not afraid of pointing this out is, who else, but the acerbic Dr. House. For what it's worth, Isak appears to take House's barbs well and occasionally make his own ripostes, making them very VitriolicBestBuds. |
| 555 | * His somewhat unique relationship to his memories has invited the interest of certain deities who also interact with their memories in special ways. For instance he heard of Joel and Clementine, who walked through their memories at one point during a memory wipe. Isak is fortunate not to have to grapple with any memory loss in spite of his advanced age, so he finds wasteful of the much younger Joel and Clementine to tamper with their minds to forget each other. Isak doesn't really think it wise of them to get rid of painful memories just like that either. Then he heard of the mecha pilots Raleigh and Mako and how they experienced a similar flashback where they both saw Mako as a young child witnessing a monster attack. Isak doesn't particularly like the idea of someone else being able to see his memories. But never mind that, the boy in Isak actually finds this whole Jaeger vs. Kaiju business pretty exciting. |
| 556 | * It's difficult to imagine a harmless, if not necessarily entirely innocent, old man like Isak having enemy deities out to get him. Isak certainly doesn't go picking fights, but he attracted the undesirable attention of Cioccolata anyway. Cioccolata's favorite targets are not-coincidentally the elderly, and he relishes in the suffering that he can cause on people who are generally too helpless to do anything about it. Cioccolata is also a doctor who plays with patients' trust, so not only does Isak dread him, he is also just utterly contemptible to Isak from a professional point of view. |
