As per NightmareFuel guidelines, '''all spoilers below are unmarked!'''
----
* The end of ''Batman vs. Albert Wesker''. After Wesker wins the fight by stomping Batman through a stone floor, he then proceeds to grab Bruce by the neck and hoist him off his feet -- suddenly, the screen cuts to black and blood splatters against it, concluding with the sound of Wesker menacingly [[BondOneLiner taunting his opponent]]. It's the first time in ''One Minute Melee'' where the losing combatant is undeniably killed, [[NothingIsScarier and it leaves one wondering just what Wesker did]].
-->'''Wesker:''' I told you. ''I'' was the only ''worthy'' one.
* Similarly, Meta Knight's fate at the end of ''Meta Knight vs. Zero''. The second ''One Minute Melee'' where the losing character undoubtedly dies, except here they actually do show what happens. [[WalkingHead Meta Knight]] is [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice stabbed]] ''[[FacialHorror through the face]]'' by Zero's [[LaserBlade Z-Saber]], which Zero then slashes upward to [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe vertically bisect him]]- punctuated by the Star Warrior's [[DeathCryEcho echoing death cry]] and [[BloodierAndGorier blood splattering across the ground from each of the two halves]]. Hard to watch, especially if you're a Meta Knight fan.
** And that's not even getting to Zero's unnervingly happy and nonchalant one-liner and "^_^" expression afterward. It only serves to make him look like a complete psychopath. He won the fight granted, but that's no reason for him to be so outright ''gleeful'' about it -- especially considering [[ThreeLawsCompliant he's a robot that's just brutally murdered a living being]]. He comes off as outright evil.
*** Further adding to this, Zero can later be seen floating in a statis tube in the laboratories of [[NebulousEvilOrganization Shadaloo]] in ''M. Bison vs. God Rugal'', giving credence to the idea that it's either [[EvilKnockoff not the real Zero]], or they actually managed to [[BrainwashedAndCrazy capture and corrupt him into a heartless killing machine]]. Regardless of which happened -- what must Shadaloo's scientists be capable of if they can effectively do either of those things to someone as powerful as Zero?
* Barry Allen's corpse at the end of ''Sonic the Hedgehog vs. The Flash''. After gaining the upper hand against Sonic, the blue hedgehog turns into [[GoldenSuperMode Super Sonic]], flies up and [[KungFuSonicBoom boost-kicks into Flash from lower orbit]], killing him by [[NeckSnap ripping his head almost completely off his neck]] and leaving him lying twitching in a pool of his own blood. Made even worse with this Sonic's one-liner afterwards, particularly since he just intentionally murdered ''a fellow hero'' over [[ATragedyOfImpulsiveness defending himself from being attacked by Tails and Knuckles first]] --
-->'''Sonic:''' [[DisproportionateRetribution You deserve that for hurting my friends]].
* In ''Ghost Rider vs. Scorpion'', Scorpion is finished off by being subjected to host Rider's Penance Stare, which has the effect of being more painful the worse the victim's sins are. The accompanying visuals make it ''very'' clear that the wraith is in utter agony (And by extension, that his soul is suffering horrific damage) from all the sins he's previously committed.
** And before the match itself, Scorpion is shown to have just defeated [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ken Masters]] -- who had travelled to the Netherrealm in order to avenge [[WebAnimation/DeathBattle Ryu's death at his hands]] -- and is just about to finish him off, taunting him about killing his [[HeterosexualLifePartners best friend]] in [[VoiceOfTheLegion a distorted, demonic voice]]. Had [[BigDamnHeroes Ghost Rider]] not shown up and defeated Scorpion when he had, Ken most likely would have died at his hands as well.
-->'''Scorpion:''' (''Standing over the defeated Ken'') You and your friend ''both'' failed to defeat me.
* In, ''Zoro vs. Kenshin'', [[Manga/OnePiece Zoro]] is lost in the forest and asks [[Manga/RurouniKenshin Kenshin]] for directions, which he gives to him. However, Zoro [[NoSenseOfDirection goes around in a circle]] and runs into Kenshin, and assumes he is tricking him. Even thought Kenshin attempts to leave peacefully, Zoro attacks him and forces a fight. Zoro ends up winning, killing Kenshin, who did not want to fight to begin with, due to a simple misunderstanding.
** Granted, it IS ambiguous as to whether he actually ''died'' or not. Defeated, sure-- but no corpse or anything is shown afterward, so there's a reasonable likelihood that Kenshin survived.
** Pretty much confirmed at the end of Aizen VS Madara where we see Kenshin, alive and well.
* While most of ''BB Hood vs. Peacock'' is pure comedy, [[BlackComedy however dark it might be]], there are a few moments that can catch a person off-guard if the humor didn't quite fit them. Specifically, the fact the entire fight originally started because BBH was running around town murdering innocent people (Granted, the only real victim we see is a [[BloodyHilarious dismembered]] Undead Miss Fortune, [[PullingThemselvesTogether and that's not much of a problem for her]].), and was about to make [[TeamDad Big Band]] her next victim before Peacock showed up.
** Their actual battle has them constantly flashing [[SlasherSmile Slasher Smiles]] whenever they gain the advantage and go in for the kill ([[TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior And keep in mind that they're both children]].), and Peacock wins the fight by [[NoKillLikeOverkill blowing Hood completely up without a trace]], making her the fourth ''One Minute Melee'' combatant to unambiguously ''kill'' her opponent. Also, ''this act is not at all out-of-character for her''.
-->'''Peacock:''' [[BondOneLiner Ha!]] Whatta ''sucker!''
* ''Bowser Jr. vs. Metal Sonic'' itself. (or should we say, [[WebAnimation/SuperMarioBrosZ Mecha Sonic]]). Before the fight even begins, Mecha Sonic comes in out of nowhere and brutally rips Metal Sonic's head off -- then he goes after Bowser Jr., who is visibly terrified. Despite managing to hold his own against the monstrous mech, Bowser Jr. wasn't safe from Mecha Sonic's wrath as the mech just curbstomps him for almost the entire match. And that's when you realize, [for how much some viewers may [[SpoiledBrat dislike him]], Bowser Jr. is just a kid. [[WouldHurtAChild And an adult-like robot beats him half-to-death]].
** And how Mecha Sonic ends the fight. He uppercuts Bowser Jr. four times: one punch hitting Jr.'s gut, then Mecha Sonic does another punch and hits Jr.'s neck 3 more times. It was so brutal, that when the announcer says "K.O." the second time, he gets interrupted by Mecha Sonic by doing vicious uppercuts, before hurling Bowser Jr. into a wall. Much like with ''Ghost Rider vs. Scorpion'' above, it's a merciful relief when [[PapaWolf Bowser]] shows up to [[VillainousRescue save him]] and [[BolivianArmyEnding take on Mecha Sonic himself afterward]].
*** The second K.O. sounded like it was delivered a lot higher than the first, as if the announcer was ''pleading'' Mecha Sonic to stop.
*** Think about what Bowser must be feeling: he just watched a machine whose sole purpose was to destroy worlds try to murder his son.
** The [[SickeningCrunch very sound]] of Mecha Sonic's uppercuts themselves. They're so brutal that even the viewer can feel them.
** When Metal Sonic and Bowser Jr. prepare to fight, the announcer tells them "Go for Broke!". When Mecha Sonic enters the scene and chases down Bowser Jr., the announcer declares "Triumph or Die!" Even more haunting is the remixes of ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles''[='=] Doomsday Zone and Final Boss themes.
* How Master Hand finishes off Polygon Man in ''Master Hand vs. Polygon Man''. After stealing a [[LimitBreak Smash Ball]] from Polygon Man, Master Hand tears open a rift in Spacetime that sucks the headlike-deity in and evidently causes him massive damage if his screaming is anything to go by. Then, once Polygon Man remerges, he's reduced to a Trophy -- which Master Hand quickly takes advantage of by closing himself around Polygon Man and ''[[LiterallyShatteredLives crushing him]]''. With that, he nonchalantly tosses the remains away and concludes with an EvilLaugh.
** By extension, this makes him the fifth ''One Minute Melee'' combatant after Wesker, Zero, Sonic and Peacock to unambiguously kill their opponent.
* The ending of ''Alice Margatroid vs. Sasori''. Given the win-loss record for the ''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'' series (1-2), and especially given the opening sequence before the actual fight-- showing Sasori and Deidara bickering about the latter's habit of blowing things up-- many likely went into this episode thinking that Sasori's threat of turning Alice into a puppet was empty. [[TheBadGuyWins Except for the small fact that he]] ''[[TheBadGuyWins wins]]''.
** For those wondering, the episode ends with Sasori slashing open Alice's chest to kill her, before going over to Deidara and showing off his latest puppet [[FateWorseThanDeath which he has just made from her body]], saying that he wants to "take it for a spin". Not only does this now make Sasori the latest character to outright murder their opponent and the first villain in a long time to defeat a hero, but given ''[[PeoplePuppets how]]'' he makes his puppets, [[JerkassWoobie you can't help but feel bad for poor Alice]].
*** And Sasori may have broken open Pandora's Box, given Alice's mother Shinki is a demonic goddess willing to scour her own world in the effort of trying to kill her enemies, and Alice's friends (which include a BlackMagicianGirl and a {{Miko}} who counts a RealityWarper among her own friends) might also follow in the goddess's destructive wake as she hunts for her daughter's killer.
* In ''Gon vs Midoriya'', we are graced by the presence of [[Manga/HunterXHunter Hisoka]], who is his usual creepy, battle-crazed self. It doesn't help that the voice actor they got does a pretty good impression of Creator/KeithSilverstein's take on the character, who in turn sounds like a sexual predator who's on the verge of orgasm every time he talks about a potential challenge...even if they're prepubescent boys.
** While Hisoka explains to Izuku why he's taken an interest in him, we see Izuku ''punching Gon in half'' in the background. Hisoka ''clearly'' does not give a damn about ImprobableInfantSurvival.
* While ''Shantae vs Filla'' is a mostly tame fight, there is one moment that sticks out. Namely, Samson trying to ''[[EatenAlive eat Shantae alive]]''. For such a lighthearted fight, it came out of nowhere.
* ''Meta Knight vs. Shovel Knight'' ends with a disguised [[VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror Dark Meta Knight]] preparing to execute the vulnerable Shovel Knight with a SwordBeam after defeating him in combat, and would have done so had [[BigDamnHeroes the real Meta Knight not warped in to stop him]].
** Since there's little way to tell that it's not the real Meta Knight -- besides him [[{{Foreshadowing}} attacking a fellow hero before the fight had started and trying to murder Shovel Knight after he'd already beaten him]], [[OutOfCharacterAlert both things the chivalrous Meta Knight would never do]] -- it gives the impression that he's going to do [[FinishingMove exactly the same thing]] the murderous version of Zero did to him back in Season 1.
* The finishing blow in ''Crocodile vs. Gaara''. After tricking Gaara into dodging ''toward'' him, Crocodile reforms behind Gaara, grabs his head, and proceeds to [[MakeThemRot absorb all the moisture from his body]] -- complete with close-ups of Gaara's [[OhCrap genuinely horrified reaction]], and then of [[BodyHorror his skin shrivelling and his eyes drying up as he dies]] -- until Crocodile is left holding Gaara's shrivelled, mummified corpse. It's made even worse by nonchalantly kicking what's left of his opponent away as he gives a BreakingSpeech, just before he blows up the Sand Village]].
-->'''Crocodile''': With my power, I can manipulate, sense, and generate sands. But you... (''kicks Gaara's corpse to the ground'') ...you're ''covered'' in them. [[PreMortemOneLiner Just like your village.]] (''[[StuffBlowingUp the bombs explode and destroy the Sand Village]], as he [[EvilLaugh laughs]]'') '''[[TheBadGuyWins You couldn't save them.]]'''
** The entire set-up works a lot like it did in ''Alice Margatroid vs. Sasori'', in that the looming threat posed by the villain (in this case, Crocodile's bombs destroying the Sand Village) seems empty, and thus can effectively be dealt with by the more heroic character after they've been beaten. Except for the fact that in both cases, [[TheBadGuyWins the villains not only brutally murder the heroes, but end up getting]] ''[[TheBadGuyWins exactly]]'' [[TheBadGuyWins what they want out of it]].
* Considering that the version of Sasuke used in ''Sasuke vs Riku'' is on the Nightmare Fuel page for Naruto, it should come as no surprise that Sasuke, with a [[TearsOfBlood bloodstained face from having used Amaterasu]], smirking and laughing about his victory over Riku after immolating him with Amaterasu, is at least fairly creepy. The way he gloats about it doesn't really help.
--> '''Sasuke''': What a shame, from one who walks the path of darkness. Oh well, I shouldn't have gotten my expectations up.
