9	One of the pioneering bands in DeathMetal, Autopsy was formed by [[IAmTheBand Chris Reifert]], the former drummer for Music/{{Death}}. They're known for being [[TropeCodifier co-Trope Codifiers]] for several facets of DeathMetal alongside bands like Possessed and Music/{{Death}} such as gruesome album art, HarshVocals, and lyrics relating to [[{{Gorn}} death and gore]]. They're also notorious for changing sounds [[OnceASeason once an album]] and founder Reifert's [[AttentionDeficitCreatorDisorder numerous side projects]]. They've been [[FollowTheLeader noted as an influence]] in many death metal bands, including Music/CannibalCorpse and {{Music/Deicide}}. The relationship between the groups is so close that there is a side project called Siege of Power which is quite literally Asphyx with Chris on vocals, as all the other members are either in Asphyx or very closely related to them.
