4	''Tropical Dandy'' is the second album released by Japanese musical artist Music/HaruomiHosono. It was released in 1975 through Panam Records. Just like its predecessor Music/HosonoHouse, it features the same personnel which would go on to become its own band (Tin Pan Alley).

6	Like its title suggests, this album marks the beginning of Hosono's interest in Exotica. It is said that he once had a bad trip after hitting a blunt too strong and passing out, using Exotica music as a pain reliever. ''Tropical Dandy'' is the first album in a trilogy of Exotica albums by Hosono (the second one being ''Music/BonVoyageCo'' and the last one being ''Music/{{Paraiso}}'').
